February 22 - 26 GRADUATE PROGRAM TRIMESTER I: CHRISTIAN THEOLOGY "What is Mysticism?" Jon Mundy, Ph.D.
There is something so compelling about the mystical journey that many mystics often spend their lives clarifying the experience. The deeper you go, the lighter you become, the easier the peace. Inner light wants to shine. Vision wants to be shared. Talking about mysticism is like rolling strawberry shortcake around on the tongue. It so delicious, it's like falling in love again and again. What is this wonderful experience people are talking about? Why do we respond so deeply? What is Mysticism? We will address, clarify, and deepen this question. Class details

The Importance of Being Nobody By Jon Mundy, Ph.D.
In my 1976 death experience, Jon Mundy disappeared. This world, all of it also disappeared. I no longer existed as a separate individual in the universe. Not only was the body gone so was the personality. And yet there was seeing; otherwise, I could not talk about the experience. I took a quick brief look at Jon Mundy and then let the story go. I really had no choice. That story ended a long time ago in a land far far away. What was it then that was having this experience? Read More

February 27 SPIRITUAL MENTOR PROGRAM Prayer and Meditation: The Mystical Experience in Self and Others Director, Rev. Carol E. Parrish, PhD.
The Spiritual Mentor Program prepares individuals to assist those who seek a personal relationship with the Divine Essence within themselves. A Spiritual Mentor is a catalyst, confidentially interacting with the seeker to stimulate the process of relating and responding to God as personally understood. This work transforms the mentor as well as the seeker. This is one of three components required for Spiritual Mentor certification. Note: Spiritual Mentor Program classes are scheduled in conjunction with Graduate Week. Spiritual Mentor enrollees also participate in Grad Week activities with other seminary students. Class details
