Love is a Promise, a Discipline, and a Lifestyle - eBook
Love comes, like ice cream, in many flavors, forms and fashions. Always designed to advance our personal growth, it is sometimes painful and sometimes a delight. While we tend to relate love to sexuality, love remains a mystery that can be surprisingly revealed when we discover it's true depth.
"Love is a Promise" is a rich little eBook written by Carol E. Parrish-Harra, noted author and teacher.

Greetings,
Now that Annual Conference has convened, the campus quiets down a bit. It feels similar to when, at the end of a big party, everyone has gone home. A moment of peace, yes, but someone still has to clean up. And that is what we are doing as we plan and prepare for next year's busy class schedule. Please take a look at the Year-At-A-Glance to see an overview of upcoming classes.
At this time of Thanksgiving, we are grateful to all those who, in their many ways, support Sancta Sophia Seminary. We thank you for sharing your time, talent, and resources. Heartfelt blessings go out especially to our students, staff, teachers, advisors, mentors, and all co-workers, seen and unseen.
Infinite gratitude,
Amy Upperman, Editor Sancta Sophia Seminary News SSSnews@sanctasophia.org

Working with the Shadow through Shustah By Brenda Cutrell, Ph.D.
Shustah cards are a tool for intuitive work. One can use them for oneself or in service to others. Employed in the way of the Tarot deck of cards, or like many other newly developed decks, Shustah cards carry a clean, impersonal energy very unlike the emotional, mental impact of the ancient Tarot. I learned how to use these cards when taking an Intuitive Development class at the Sancta Sophia Seminary, in Tahlequah, OK. It has been many years since that class, and these cards have remained with me throughout. I haven't always used them. Things happen in cycles. A short time ago I hauled them out of the drawer and a thought popped into my head: "these could be used to gain insight into the Shadow...." Read more

INSPIRATION SPACE Contributed by Amy Upperman
On February 28, 2008 Karen Armstrong won the TED Prize and made a wish: for help creating, launching and propagating a Charter for Compassion. Since that day, thousands of people have contributed to the process so that on November 12, 2009 the Charter was unveiled to the world. At the unveiling, Ms. Armstrong, and religious leaders, called upon the world to make a commitment to living a life of compassion. Please support and affirm the Charter by adding your name to the growing list of affirmers. Excerpt: "The principle of compassion lies at the heart of all religious, ethical and spiritual traditions, calling us always to treat all others as we wish to be treated ourselves. Compassion impels us to work tirelessly..."

Generosity is a spiritual practice that reflects an attitude of heart and mind. It is an expression of the Law of Abundance: as we give more freely, so too will we receive more fully. In this season of gratitude and giving, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to Sancta Sophia Seminary to support our effort to prepare world servers with a quality spiritual education. We thank you for the valuable support you provide to us throughout the year. |
Blessings,
