Gr eetings, Something unusual is happening in Sparrow Hawk Village, which probably would not surprise you because, from time to time, unusual things do happen here.
We have a number of dogs in the Village. Some were abandoned here and adopted by various villagers; a few adopted from our Cherokee Humane Society; and several came to the Village with their owners. Now, especially in the evening, just before dark, while the dogs are on their last walk for the day, they meet and join together in the most gleeful, cavorting play. It is an absolute joy to watch. It is as if they have become best 'buddies' and are so grateful to live in this wonderful place! This month we are enlivening ourselves with color and sound in the class Color Your Life and Exploring the Esoteric Side of Music. Rev. Stephens will have her interesting and thought provoking workshop on the Principles and Laws of the Aquarian Age. Note that this workshop will start at 9:35 a.m. and finish at 2 p.m. Jenny Roberts will again present her workshop on Passages to the Soul of Adulthood, which has helped many as they move through adulthood. And at the end of the month, we will present an Introduction to the World of Metaphysics with a team of teachers to teach skills to help us smooth out our journey through life. Come and join us for these interesting and helpful classes.
Blessings, Rev. Linda Oliver Administrative Dean

Sunday, July 5, 10:30 a.m. Independence Sunday
"The Ultimate Freedom" Rev. Robert Willson
Sunday, July 5th is Independence Sunday and it is interesting to consider what real independence is. What might be the relationship between independence and freedom? What is the ultimate freedom that we all can embody? Is there a relationship between what we believe and freedom? Are there techniques that free us from the tyranny of our own miss-beliefs? We will explore these ideas and learn of our ultimate freedom. You may be surprised.

Sunday, July 12, 10:30 a.m. "Sutras of the Aquarian Age" Rev. Retha Banez
As we talk more and more about what it means to do group work, it is the perfect time to come together and ponder ideas about how we choose to live in the Aquarian Age. We are at a turning point when old Piscean values are falling away to the new Aquarian values. Let's come together to discover what our new values are, and create Sutras of the Aquarian Age to live by in our church and community. Each person's contribution will bless us all.

Sunday, July 19, 10:30 a.m.
"Shifting Your Viewpoint" Rev. Peggy Eaton
We shift our viewpoint when we stop seeing a situation as "troubled" and ego-driven -- ["I did it (want it) my way!"]. And as we begin to lift our perspective to the third eye of wisdom and in-sight. Then we begin to see people, places and situations with the eyes of heart-driven Spiritual reality, from the Angelic perspective. We will do some inner work to begin dissolving the "Frank Sinatra syndrome" in you and your "troubled" situations. Shanti!!

Sunday, July 26, 10:30 a.m. Parents Day
"Brave New World - Another Visit" Rev. Roberta Wilkes
In 1932, Aldous Huxley (humanitarian and psychic researcher) wrote the novel Brave New World, describing a potential future where individuality is wiped out or tempered by group mind control. In 1959, he wrote an essay on his view that the world was dangerously headed in this direction. In the New Age we are urged to believe the importance of the group mind. Can we access and utilize group mind while still maintaining our divine individual potential?
