Gr eetings, Spring is all about us here in Oklahoma. Our many trees are in blossom. The early spring flowers have pushed through and are in glorious color about us.
This month provides three very stimulating weeks of class. It begins with Know Your Rays class with a one-day Silver Cord workshop following on Saturday. Graduate school has Dr. Tom Legere, a noted psychotherapist, teaching Spiritual Journey Through the Lens of Transpersonal Psychology, which is open to the public for the morning lectures. And the last week we offer Keys to Soul-Centered Therapy. These classes will make for a fascinating month of learning.
Come and join us for some wonderful weeks of instruction and relaxation in the beauty of the Ozarks.
Blessings, Rev. Linda Oliver Administrative Dean

Mother's Day isn't just for "birth mothers." Rev. Banez invites you to join her for a joy filled service reflecting on the many ways of mothering and nurturing those we love in the human, animal, plant, and mineral kingdoms. Let's celebrate our families, friends, neighbors, co-workers, pets, plants, and minerals. We will grace our sanctuary with your favorite pictures, plants, flowers, and rocks, gems, and geodes. Bring stories, poems, and prayers to share that remind us of what it means to mother and love all forms of life.

"The Freedom of Friendship" Rev. Steven Chase
At Light of Christ Community Church we join together in a unique spiritual community. Community and friendship supplant hierarchy with a certain mutuality and equality. When Jesus names the disciples his friends he changes the shape of things - the community is not to be a pyramid but a circle. Above all friendship implies freedom. Today's lesson will explore the delight we experience in one another's presence.

Sunday, May 24, 10:30 a.m. Memorial Sunday/Ascension Sunday
"Memories of Peace" Rev. Bonita Plymale
Memorial Day honors the memory of those who died serving this country in war. Will we ever have memories of peace? Let us explore peace on all levels, (from peace in our own hearts and minds to peace on a worldwide scale) and how we can further the goal stated in Luke 1:79: "To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace."

Sunday, May 31, 10:30 a.m. Pentecost
"Releasing the Glamour of Separateness" Rev. Peggy Eaton
How easily our ego/personality self slips away in consciousness from our Creator, from our true Self. It is in that "away-ness" that we believe in the illusion of being separate, of being less than, of being better than, not as good as, non-deserving of, etc. The inner work in this lesson will focus on releasing our sense of separateness, of owning our bondedness to Creator, owning our Spiritual nature that merely uses the physical vehicles and levels of consciousness to fulfill our dharma in the world. We will claim our Oneness with all that is!
Officiator: Rev. Linda Oliver Communion: Rev. Tom Simota Hierarchy/Offertory Blessing: Rev. Tom Simota Pianist: Rev. Roberta Wilkes/Doris Pass
