Christianity as a Transformational Process
Carol Parrish Recorded November 25, 2008 at Trinity Cathedral, Sacramento, CA
When we say we are Christian what does it mean? Can it be a social identity or are we saying we are transforming our life and living in a new way? A Christian life without dogma and doctrine introduces an awareness that something else can guide us.

Sophia-Wisdom Dwells Within, a Companion to Christ-Love by Carol E. Parrish
As we seek to discover our inner divinity, we begin to unveil new ways to know, perceive, and intuit. As insights prompt us from within, our value system changes. Now we embrace our personal spiritual quest. Touched by the sacred presence, A life now opens to new ways of being.
Called by whatever name, this holy embrace brings a deepening ability to love and to know. This alignment to the Source allows an all-encompassing, all-knowing nature to evolve. From deep within comes the realization of Oneness that relates to the whole of life; a new sensitivity and an ever-deepening inner knowing bloom.

The Cornerstone of Esoteric Christianity by Carol E. Parrish
The Esoteric Christian approach is best compared in this way. Esoteric Christianity is to Christianity as Sufism is to Islam. Esoteric approaches have been called mystical or Sophianic at times as well. The idea is that the soul itself has sufficiently matured to need less outer rules and more inner attention. By refocusing inward, one discovers there a wellspring of inner resources- guidance, inner knowing, healing energies, powers of mind that escape outer notice as long as the inner is neglected. Once this inner contact is made and one integrates this intuitive awareness with one's lifestyle, an individual doesn't depend on rules and regulations, dogmas and doctrines so much because the Christ Within, the hope of glory leads the way. As this inner presence grows in one's life, one can increasingly love and care for others. Serving others in the sense that Master Jesus taught becomes a real goal. Jesus as the Christ taught Love and seeks to lead his disciples to the heart center and open them to lives of caring for others as well as for themselves. Read More

March 3 - 7 ESOTERIC CHRISTIANITY I: Hidden Wisdom of the Bible
The powerful magnet Christianity introduced to the world through the
message of Jesus Christ was "equality" for all. As souls we recognize
our sameness, but we also all realize personalities are not equal. Some
are more talented, some less so, but the Soul of each is precious. We
strive for a way to live from the heart. We shall explore the lessons,
assignments, and tools of transformation to make them our own. March 9 - 14 ESOTERIC CHRISTIANITY II: Hidden Wisdom of the BibleBuilding on the work of the first week, the class examines the mysteries of Christianity to discover the heart of the tradition. We will expand our understanding as we grasp mysticism, and learn its true value. We shall use the life of Christ Jesus as the pattern for initiation that we each seek to follow. We also explore new information concerning early Christianity, especially concepts regarding the development of the Christ Within - the Hope of Glory.

BASIC ASTROLOGY I Dennis Acrea
The Law of Correspondence says: "As above, so below". Astrology takes this a step further, teaching us: "As within, so without; as the Universe, so the Soul." Astrology is the study of planetary cycles and the way our lives correspond to them. Week One of Basic Astrology focuses on the basics of signs and houses, and then applies them specifically to the student's birth sun, moon, and moon's nodes. Participants need to know the date, time, and place of their birth. Required texts will be available for purchase at the Village Bookstore: Soul Purpose Astrology by Margaret Koolman and The Book of Rituals by Carol Parrish-Harra. March 23 - 27
BASIC ASTROLOGY IIStudents of astrology know that the force behind the movement of the planets is the same force that moves each of us. Week Two of Basic Astrology focuses on the other planets, delving deeper into your birth chart to find symbolism to help intensify your self-awareness. Participants need to know the date, time, and place of their birth. Basic Astrology I is a prerequisite for this course. The same texts will be used.
