Greetings,
Well, we made it through a very hot mid-July to mid-August here in Oklahoma.
It has been interesting watching the deer. We now have more twin fawns than I have noticed in the past. The young bucks are so darling with their fuzzy antler buds. The deer continue to be interested in watching Buddy, my cocker spaniel. I am not sure who is more fascinated, Buddy or the deer.
Carol will be taking us through the Reincarnation and Life Review experience this month. Another fine speaker will be here for graduate week, Dr. James Schrenker. He is a family practice physician using conventional medicine while applying metaphysical knowledge to provide better patient care. All are welcome to attend his lectures for the class fee.
The Margaret Stephens-Brenda Cutrell team will present their Esoteric Psychology class and explore the evolution of the psyche from personality to soul. Carol and her team will look at a modern approach to spirituality with Agni Yoga in the following week. Come and join us for the fun of learning, exploring and creating new possibilities.
Blessings, Rev. Linda Oliver

Sunday, September 7, 10:30 AM The Sky Is Falling! Isn't It? Rev. Roberta Wilkes
For centuries people have predicted the end of the world. This talk will explore some of the predictions and the panics that surrounded them, as well as some of the current predictions. Is the Sky Falling? Or is it an acorn falling on Chicken Little's head? And if the sky does fall, what is to be our response (and responsibility)?

Sunday, September 14, 10:30 AM To Become Wise Rev. Carol E. Parrish
To Become Wise is the great goal that stands before all human kind, although it is little recognized. Fewer still know how to find the way. Each religion offers formulas, teachings and doctrine, to assist its own. We live in a time of great opportunity as humanity builds its mental body to become open and ready for the higher world wisdom to be received. Mystics seek to form the cup, pierce the veil and be led. Is it our time to become wise? Are we ready and will we pay the price?

Sunday, September 21, 10:30 AM International Day of Peace Forgive and Forget? Rev. Peggy Willson
Dealing with conflict and attack, forgiving and forgetting are all things that pop up in our lives. Most of us have given a great deal of thought to the subject because we are thoughtful people. We'll take a look at how these subjects were handled in the Bible, in different cultures and within ourselves. These are age old problems. Should we forgive and forget? Why? How does it affect us on the physical, emotional and mental planes?

Sunday, September 28, 10:30 AM Into the Water Practitioner Carolyn Sales
We can explore the evolving response of human beings to the "sea of suffering" in the Biblical stories of the Israelites' exodus over the Red Sea, Jonah in the whale's belly, and Jesus walking on the Sea of Galilee. From whining terror through courageous confrontation to the responsible exercise of mature power, these stories reveal the path through suffering to transcendence. By examining them we discover the hope of our human heritage and find the courage to dive "into the water."

A Forgotten Song
by Dave Birr
So many songs fill the world, Their choruses into us hurled, Our ears jammed with tones unceasing, The weight of the world's music increasing.
Desperate voices urge us to sing along, Join, join that the song be strong. Waves of welling words compel our feeling, Yet something inside, trumpets against kneeling.
Tides of tongues ever flowing, Keep all but a few from knowing. Drowning sounds swirl round our lives, For the souls of so many, these songs are knives.
Some songs fill with a sweetness, But peace at any price lacks completeness. Some songs ease us to sleep, But the dark of their comfort is deep.
Yet we fear to stop singing, To sever our voices, hands wringing. Without chords connecting, we are lost. We must wonder, what do these songs cost?
But in our silence, we hear an inner voice. Its faint beauty reminds us of a forgotten choice. Echoes of eternity kiss our ears, Rousing us to joyous tears. We had forgotten we are songs, Flowing from beyond in soul note throngs. Our fiery intensity awakening all the sleepy world. To listen at last to the inner herald.

REINCARNATION AND LIFE REVIEW
Rev. Carol E. Parrish, Ph.D.
An in-depth look at a suspect topic-is it fact or fiction?
Does a belief in reincarnation inhibit Christians or enrich the Faith?
Rev. Leslie Weatherhead thought it did. When asked, "Can Christians
dance?" he replied, "Some can, and some can't." Benjamin Franklin
wrote his epitaph to read, "The Body of B. Franklin, Printer, Like the
Cover of an Old Book, Its Contents torn Out and Stripped of its
Lettering and Gilding, Lies Here Food for Worms, But the Work shall not
be Lost, for it Will as He Believed Appear Once More In a New and more
Elegant Edition Revised and Corrected by the Author." Likewise, Walt
Whitman wrote "And other births will bring us richness and variety. And
as to you, Life, I reckon you are the leavings of many deaths, (No
doubt I have died myself ten thousand times before)" as he let the
world know he embraced the idea. We shall explore richly. This can be a
life-changing experience for many.
It
is estimated that 75% of the world believes in the theory of rebirth.
Come and have your own experiences; discover your personal
opportunities to integrate new insights. This course will offer theory
and history, emphasizing the experimental. An advantage of a long life
and a major reason it is considered a blessing is that the closing
stage is for our internal life review. If we enfold and digest our
experiences of the present life, we are born more free than if we fail
to do so. The last ten years of a long lifetime is the review stage. In
this class we will see how our present life fits with some of our past
and how to piece together some of the experiences we have had this time
with previous lessons and learnings. What can we learn? Much.
Bring personal tape recorders (with batteries only), blank cassettes, notebook, and comfortable clothing.

AGNI YOGA: Life from a Modern Ethical Perspective
Rev. Carol E. Parrish,
with contributions by
Rev. Margaret Stephens and Rev. Brenda Cutrell
A
modern approach to spirituality, Agni Yoga emphasizes the daily
practice of ethical living, devotion, and purification of our physical,
emotional, and mental bodies. Formation and application of a living
ethic and development of virtues in the personality are based on a
series of themes, not rigid disciplines. Students learn to integrate
ideology, theology, and service into their lives. The Agni path affirms
the importance of meditation to the work of clearing glamours and
illusions to connect to our inner wisdom. Connections of these
enigmatic teachings to Kabalah and the Bailey materials will also be
explored.

TRAINING OF THE INITIATE:
Techniques of Maturing the Basic Self
Rev. Margaret Stephens
On
the Path of Return the aspirant must learn to develop a loving and
balanced relationship with the instinctual nature, called "basic self"
in the Huna wisdom tradition, and to appropriately utilize each level
of consciousness. During this class the subconscious or basic self
(which remembers everything) will be respectfully invited to move
beyond the defense systems it constructed in its attempt to protect the
vulnerable self within. As the basic self learns to trust the safety of
the class environment, it will be shown how to release old memories and
scar tissue that block the full expression of the authentic inner self.
Harmony and balance can be restored and the conscious mind can
experience a renewed sense of well-being and authentic power.
30 CEU hours for LCSW, ACSW, LADC, CADC
$225/250. includes lunch
October 10 - 12 Friday, 7:00-9:00 PM, Saturday, AM & PM, Sunday, PM
SHUSTAH MEDITATION TOOLS Rev. Carol Parrish Shustah cards, designed to prompt natural intuition, enable one to establish communication between inner and outer perceptions. Symbols enhance meditation and divination as they connect us with archetypal energies. In this class, latent intuition awakens as instruction, experience with the symbols, and group work are provided. $100. A $30 materials fee applies to those who need to purchase the Shustah cards and book. If you already have the Shustah cards and book, please bring them to class.
October 19
Sunday, 3 - 5 PM:
HEART/MIND BLESSING
During
this blessing, the recipient remains fully clothed, lying on a healing
table, while one of the ancient biblical healing oils is intuitively
chosen for him or her. The ritual, inspired by the desire to be in
resonance with the loving compassionate heart of God, establishes a
connection and an energy balance between the heart and the mind. The
blessing takes about 20 minutes and recipients make donations to
support the work of the Wellness Center.
