Some of us will recall Barbara being at the Village some years ago and what a delightful time we had in sharing our thoughts about the future. Now Barbara Marx Hubbard has put those potent ideas of hers into a short DVD, and it is superb! I believe most of us find ourselves agreeing with the daring thoughts she offers.
Within this brief documentary, Barbara traces the history of planetary life, the birthing of human consciousness and the creation of crises which now dictate a new way of life. Dare we not listen? Does most of humanity realize the leap that is ours to make?

Dear Light Bearers,
We are so excited about the wonderful response to our first issue last month! Thank you all for your support.
We were particularly touched by the response of so many friends outside of Tahlequah. We would remember with you that community is not about geographical coordinates--you too are an important part of the Sparrow Hawk Community.
Please take time to read the many events coming up this month in the church and the seminary.
Please call or write us if you would like more information about anything listed. We are always glad to hear from you!

"The Fruits of True Labor"
On Labor Day Weekend, many people picnic and party, enjoying the last days of the summer season. Some may think briefly about the origins of Labor Day in relation to the work environment and its conditions. On this Labor Day Sunday, Rev. Retha Banez will explore the esoteric meaning of labor, expanding our thoughts to the idea of true labor as it applies to building and manifesting the Divine Plan on Earth. Come and join us to discover your part in this process.

"The Alchemy of Love"
Rev. Steven Chase's sermon is inspired by his ponderings on the meaning of life following a recent reading of The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Coelho writes about the Soul of the World and Personal Quests that touch our lives when we are awake and aware. Life unfolds for us as we open to its possibilities when we are not afraid and are open to love. The question then is: How do we open to our Personal Quests and follow them?

New Moon of Virgo Service
Rev. Banez and Rev. Willson will lead us in our new moon ritual, which will take the place of our usual morning meditation. The exact time of the new moon is 7:45 AM.
New moon rituals help us focus on the time for new beginnings in each monthly cycle. We have an opportunity to release old patterns and habits and attune to the Virgo energy as we set our intent for the coming cycle. It is also a time for blessings with the "Blessing of the Elements." Please join us.
We will also commemorate 9/11 and observe a few moments of silence in remembrance.

"Are We Ready?"
Rev. Carol Parrish will explore ideas from both a personal and global perspective concerning the future.
Prophecies are enticing as we hear them, and we have listened for years. Now we see them occurring and are having to examine the consequences of having listened for years and not necessarily having prepared ourselves--or have we?
Having just entered the last five years of the Mayan Calendar, we now stand at the brink of the future. We must examine our lives and practices to see if indeed we are ready.

Feast Day of Sophia Service
Rev. Carol Parrish will lead this special service which will take the place of our usual morning meditation.
In Sophia Sutras, Carol writes:
Sophia, the Wise Mother, is advancing in her role as Mother Earth and awakening her children to be better participants in the role they play in Earth's journey. With the expansion of the heart-mind in humanity, we can undergo a more gentle birth and experience a collective "apocalypse of peace" by deliberate co-creation with the intensifying spiritual powers, or new energies as they are more frequently called, presently bombarding the planet.

Friday, September 21st, 8 AM
International Peace Day Meditation
Rev. Banez and Rev. Willson will lead us in meditation as we join the International Peace Day celebration. This is an excellent opportunity to serve and support our global community!

Sunday, September 23rd (Autumn Equinox):
"The Inflowing Christ Presence"
In this special Sunday service, we come together to acknowledge and celebrate the Festival of Autumn Equinox, which occurs at 4:52 AM as the sun enters Libra. Rev. Banez and Rev. Willson invite you to join them at this powerful point in our spiritual year as the Cosmic Christ, the Sun Spirit, descends from on high, infusing the earth with the energies of life, light and love. The rhythm of the entire planet is accelerated. We remember the words of Corinne Heline, who tells us:
"As the Christ spirit permeates the earth, lines of demarcation between race and race, nation and nation, are being obliterated. The glad day will yet dawn when the planet will domicile a unified humanity, and the ideals of the Fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of man will be a reality."
Please join us for this ritual blessing of the inflowing Christ spirit.

Full Moon of Libra Celebration
Rev. Banez and Rev. Willson will lead us in our Full Moon ritual, which will take the place of our usual morning meditation. The exact time of the full moon is 2:46 PM.
"At the time of the full moon, it is as if a door were suddenly opened wide, which at other times stands closed. Through that door, aspirants and disciples can contact energies which are not easily available."

"Imagine..."
Rev. Retha Banez and Rev. Peggy Eaton will co-facilitate an informal Sunday service based on the theme of the John Lennon song, "Imagine." We invite our community and our spiritual family from near and far to join us in envisioning and creating a powerful thoughtform of our world as one of love, peace, and oneness. As John Lennon sang, "Imagine all the people living life in peace...you may say I'm a dreamer...but I'm not the only one...I hope someday you'll join us...and the world will be as one."
