Dedication of Village
August 15 at 8 AM
carol marjorie
Rev. Marjorie Stuth & Rev. Carol Parrish

Each year on the 15th of August, we pause and recall the dedication of the Village to the Divine Mother.

In 1981 very little was understood about devotion to the Divine Feminine except as Mother Mary.

Now we have begun to understand the Great Mother on many levels; Sophia is coming into her own.

Join us as we recall the love of the Mother and respond to it with dedication and appreciation.  She stands guard over the Village and each of us as we grow into our potential.

August 5th: "Intention Experiment"

robert
In this sermon, Rev. Robert Willson will look at the best scientific evidence as to what works for manifesting our intentions, as well as how to maximize these intentions. There is much more to this than just wishful thinking and having a positive attitude!  Much of this information will be based on a book called The Intention Experiment.

Communion: Rev. Robert Willson.
Officiator: Rev. Peggy Willson.

August 12th: "To Envision a Joy Filled Future"

carol
Rev. Carol Parrish invites you to celebrate National Joke Day with a special service that focuses on spiritual humor.

August in the Village is a time when we rest and enjoy one another.  There are no classes, and we will probably have less busy-ness than usual, so let's play some!

We invite each of you to come and bring an uplifting joke or story to share with others as we gather in our Sunday Morning Celebration.

The ancients greathly appreciated laughter, which they considered a divine gift and remedy.

Modern studies have shown that laughing lowers blood pressure, reduces stress, increases muscle flexion and boosts immune function.

We should also remember that play is one of Sophia's mysteries.  As we embrace the Divine Feminine, we should remember to include play and laughter as an important and spiritual aspect of our lives.

August 19: "The Psychology of Joy"

bannerPractitioner Helen Weiser's sermon will weave the connection between science and spirituality. Psychology is making its way into the Age of Aquarius by integrating spiritual practice and scientific method. Indeed, all of human endeavor is begining to rise to the call of higher spiritual energy. Ms. Weiser will show how we find evidence of this connection through inspired music, poetry and art. She will provide demonstrations and exercises to help us transform negative into positive energy and bring the psychology of joy into our lives.

Communion: Rev. Marjorie Stuth
Officiator: Rev. Retha Banez

August 26: "What Does It Mean To Be Blessed?"
 pamela
Practitioner Pamela Ramsfield will explore what it really means to be blessed in the context of our shifting consciousness.  We are living in an era sometimes referred to as the "between the world" time or "no time."  Many of us are reworking old programming, exploring ideas about cultures and customs, and responding to the ideologies that have held families together.  Relationships and vocations are ending or being reworked.  It is important to realize this reworking is helping to bring about a new consciousness to humanity.  As these foundations shift, what does it mean to be blessed?
