You are not alone!!!
May 20, 2009
Greetings!

Interior Decorative Painting by Deborah TeSelleWelcome to the latest edition of our 912 Project Fort Worth Newsletter.  We are pleased to announce that our corporate paperwork has been filed with the Secretary of State of Texas.  We are now an organized not-for-profit corporation.  The group is officially known as the 912 Project Fort Worth, Inc.  Copies of the corporate paperwork will be available soon for anyone who wants to review the structure.

I know that many of you are asking what you can do to make a difference.  The biggest thing you can do right now is to forward this email to 10 of your close friends that share our 9 principles and 12 values of the group.  Our strength is in numbers so we need to talk to our neighbors and strangers we meet.  Try striking up a conversation about politicians in Washington DC to see what your neighbors think or ask them if they went to a Tea Party on April 15th.   You will find that you have lots in common with those around you, the silent majority.

The next thing you can do is to volunteer to lead a 912 project committee on an specific issue.  Preferably something you are passionate about.  We need researchers, article writers and educational material builders to help our group digest and disseminate the massive amounts of information out there to figure out what is really going on with specific issues.  We must awaken the masses through education before it's too late... Before life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are gone forever.

The 912 Project Fort Worth, Inc. Officers and Directors are doing the same. We are busily working on our new web presence, talking and meeting with other 912 groups in Texas and nationally, and organizing large events to get our name out to get our collective voice heard.

We are all in this together, no effort is too small, please take a minute each day to think about what you can do to make a difference for the 912 Project and then execute on it.

Sincerely,

Ricky Clay

Socialism What is Socialism...
Article by Ricky Clay, President - 912 Project Fort Worth, Inc.

What is socialism and why should we care? It's is not just the agenda of Liberal left-wingers and Democrats. According to Marxist doctrine, socialism is a stage of society between capitalism and communism where private ownership and control over property are eliminated. The essence of socialism is the ultimate abolition of private property rights. Socialism is a big step towards communism.

10 Conditions For Transition To Communism according to the Communist Manifisto
  • Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
  • A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
  • Abolition of all right of inheritance (Death Tax).
  • Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
  • Centralisation of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a National bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
  • Centralisation of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State (Fairness Doctrine).
  • Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
  • Equal liability of all to labour. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
  • Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equal distribution of the population over the country.
  • Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labour in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production.

All of these are prior conditions for a transition from capitalism to communism. How many of the above items have we as a Nation already conformed too? and as we all know, the Hall of Fame for socialist include such fine people as, Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler, Chairman Mao, Kim Jong-il, Fidel Castro, and our president's bookclub buddy, Hugo Chavez.

Just a point of interest, the Hall of Fame names are directly responsible for a combined total of over 100 million deaths.

Attacks on private property include, but are not limited to, confiscating the rightful property of one person and giving it to another, to whom it doesn't belong. When this is done privately, we call it theft. When it's done collectively, we use euphemisms: income transfers or redistribution of wealth (sound familiar?). It's not just left-wingers and Democrats who call for and admire socialism, but right-wingers and Republicans as well.

Republicans support taking the earnings of one American, and giving them to farmers, banks, airlines, and other failing, or struggling businesses in the form of Subsidies. Democrats support taking the earnings of one American and giving them to poor people, cities and artists in the form of welfare. Both parties agree with taking one American's earnings to give to another; they simply differ on the recipients, and what they call this "transfer of funds".
The moral question stands out in starker relief when we acknowledge that those spending programs coming out of Congress do not represent lawmakers reaching into their own pockets and sending out the money. There's no Tooth Fairy or Santa Claus giving them the money, it is taken from us. The fact that government has no resources of its own forces us to acknowledge that the only way government can give one American a dollar is to first take that dollar from some other American.

Just this morning (5/15), there was a story on the news about six of the largest insurance companies in the nation asking for over twenty billion dollars in bail outs, and Roadway Trucking Company is now asking for one billion dollars in bailouts for its pension fund. Why is my money going to pay the pension of someone that drove a truck thirty years ago: someone whom I have never met. Why don't I just keep my money, and apply it towards my retirement?

There is a need to pay taxes; our government needs funding for a multitude of programs, one example is the Military that protects our country. This is not the same as taking money in the form of Taxes, and giving that money to someone else who does not ask for, or need the money. Sending billions of dollars to private sector Industries in the form of "Bail Outs" is not, and should never be, a function of government.

Some might argue that all of this is a result of a democratic process and that it is legal. Legality alone is not a guide for a moral people. There are many things in this world that have been, or remain to be legal, but are clearly immoral. Slavery was legal. Did that make it morally acceptable? South Africa's apartheid, Nazi persecution of Jews, as well as Stalinist and Maoist purges were all legal, but did that make them moral?

An argument against legalized theft should not be construed as an argument against helping one's fellow man in need. Charity is a noble instinct - theft, legal or illegal, is despicable. To put it another way: Reaching into one's own pocket to assist his fellow man is noble and worthy of praise. Reaching into another person's pocket to assist one's fellow man is disgraceful and worthy of condemnation.

When God gave Moses the Ten Commandments, one of which is "Thou shalt not steal," I'm sure He didn't mean thou shalt not steal unless there's a majority vote!!

National Debt - Spending Out of Control

National Debt

The above chart shows the per capita portion of the national debt, and forecasts where it is headed under the Obama Administration's budget plan.  The purpose of the chart is to personalize the national debt.  When we hear numbers like $10 trillion it is difficult to understand the magnitude of the problem.  I hope this chart brings some perspective to the issue.

Note:  This chart uses the projections made by the Obama administration which may be too optimistic for revenue and understate the actual spending.

Data Sources:
Forecast data is from the Office of Management and Budget,  A New Era of Responsibility Renewing America's Promise, Table S-9.
U.S. Treasury, Treasury Direct
U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, Table 2.1  Personal Income and Its Disposition
U.S. Census Bureau population forecast

The chart below shows where a congress spends each dollar that we send them.

 Congress Spending

As you can see a bigger portion of the money goes toward Health and Human Services than national defense.  Secondarily, the national debt interest is about to surpass both of these categories.  The national spending is a huge irreverisible problem and everyone needs to wake up to it.  At some point, other countries are going to stop lending to the United States and then we are going to most likely experience hyper-inflation and the dollar become worthless.

We ask each of you to become familiar with this information and be able hold a reasonable conversation regarding the national debt.

Learn More about 912 Project Fort Worth

We are a grassroots effort in the Fort Worth area based on Glenn Beck's 9-12 Project. By uniting with others who believe in the 9 principles and 12 values, we are standing together and demanding to be heard in Washington and here at home.

If you feel that the politicians are no longer listening and want to do something, please join us. We are helping to connect people so they can start their own satellite groups all around the metroplex. And, we are in touch with a nationwide effort to organize "the forgotten man".
