Greetings!

Interior Decorative Painting by Deborah TeSelleCongratulations to the newly elected officers and directors of the 912 Project Fort Worth, Inc.  On Monday May 4th, 2009 a meeting was held to approve the Certificate of Formation and Bylaws of our group and to elect officers and directors.

The vote for the corporate paperwork was unanimous and marks a historic step for our group to become organized and work toward getting this country back on the right path.

The new elected directors are as follows:

912 Project Fort Worth We the People...

We the People, as citizens of the United States of American are part of the greatest country in the history of mankind. In every corner of the world, people look to us as a beacon of hope and freedom. And for good reason. Our Country has its foundations deeply rooted in diversity, personal freedom and opposition to an oppressive government. When we feel threatened, or backed into a corner, we as a population of freedom loving people tend to react. And react we do.

     On a hot summer day in Philadelphia, July 4th, 1776 the Representatives of the people in the Second Continental Congress reacted by drafting, and signing a letter, outlining their intent to break away from tyranny, and form the United States of America. This Declaration of Independence formed the collective opinion of the people; it expressed our belief that government should, and will serve us.

 I quote a paragraph from the Declaration,

"Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness".

From this, we can conclude, and rightly so, that We the People are and should be in control. We have not only the right and authority to make changes to our government as we see fit, but we also have the original instruction manual to effect any change in our government. Once we fought for and won our freedom, we were in need of a new, representative government that reflected the people, ideas, and culture of the United States. The foundation of that new government, our current government is the Constitution of the United States.

 The Pre-amble of the Constitution reads:

"We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America"

This is, and should be the reason our government exists. To provide us, the people, with these things, Justice, Domestic Tranquility, general Welfare, Liberty. It is the legacy that our founding fathers left for us, and wanted us to have.  We have spent the last 233 years defending this idea of personal freedom, from enemies both foreign and domestic. And this fight continues to this day.

It is our Constitutional right to disagree with our government, and it is our right to advance the notion of its demise, if we feel it no longer serves us. We as an organization of like-minded people do not advocate our government's demise. We do however, insist that our government have our best interest in mind when conduct the peoples' business.

We do demand that our representatives hear and echo our voices in Congress. We do demand that we the people be heard.

We must resolve as a united group of like-minded people that we are in control, We the People are watching, and We the People are voting. Only through strength of numbers will we make our voices heard, and force government to take us seriously.

There are millions of people out there that feel as we do. They feel disenfranchised, they feel their government no longer has our best interest in mind, they feel there is nothing they can do, they feel alone. They are not alone. We are not alone.

Together, and only together can we force change.  Not the political slogan type of change, but a real change, a change in direction, back to the original ideas, and intent of what We the People are as a nation are founded on.

We have strayed off the track our founding fathers laid and intended us to take. It is up to us, the people, not the government to put our country back on the right track. We the People must make our voices heard and put government on notice, that we the people are in control, We the People know it, We the People are watching, and you our government will be held accountable for your actions come next election.

If there is an issue, or a website, a group, party, or special interest that you monitor regularly, please let us know. We are organizing in a way so that we can disseminate pertinent information to all interested members. We need your help so we can help you.

We are looking for local people who can help us develop and maintain web content and a weekly newsletter full of current and interesting information that reflects the interests of 9-12'ers on a local, regional, and national level. Our aim is to glean the most pertinent information and make acting upon that information easy.

What is your passion?  Make the most of your energy and time!  Become a writer, content contributor, researcher, or legislative interpreter now.

We are a grassroots effort in the Fort Worth area based on Glenn Beck's 9-12 Project. By uniting with others who believe in the 9 principles and 12 values, we are standing together and demanding to be heard in Washington and here at home.

If you feel that the politicians are no longer listening and want to do something, please join us. We are helping to connect people so they can start their own satellite groups all around the metroplex. And, we are in touch with a nationwide effort to organize "the forgotten man".
