Wiseco has just recently released its 2009 Snowmobile catalog filled with new models and information to get you ready for the season. If you didn't receive this at the Hay Days races in Lino Lakes, Minnesota, we'll fill you in on some new models for the coming season. All Wiseco piston kits (SK Kits) come complete with pistons, rings, pins, circlips, and top end gasket kit.

New in our Arctic Cat selections, we now have a piston kit to fit the F8, M8, and Crossfire 8 models. This twin cylinder, liquid cooled model features pistons that are skirt coated for reduced friction and quiet operation. Along with Wiseco's electra coating, which eliminates ring and pin scuffing for increased life and added performance-, the pistons are light weight for less vibration and improved throttle response. Made on a dedicated forging, Wiseco's pistons bring superior strength to weight ratio. It retails at $359.16 (SK1374).

Wiseco has also added a new model to its Polaris line. This piston kit fits the Polaris 700 EFI Liberty models ranging from 2006-08. These forged pistons include the features you have come to expect from Wiseco including dedicated forgings, light weight, and electra coating. Wiseco uses CNC machines to give you the ultimate cam shape and profile for peak horsepower and service life. Polaris 700 EFI kits retail at $237.46 (SK1362, SK1363, SK1364).

Two new skirt coated models for Wiseco's Ski Doo line have recently been released. The first is for Ski Doo's 550F MXZ fan cooled engine models, ranging from 2003-08 depending on model. These kits retail at $347.51 (SK1375, SK1376, SK1377).

The second is for Ski Doo's 800R models. These pistons feature skirt coating and are made from a hybrid alloy to withstand the stress and performance of the new 'R' series engines. Wiseco's kits fit 2007 models only. The kits retail at $373.48 (SK1378, SK1379, SK1380).

This month our automotive department is highlighting some of our unique Pro Tru and Forged Automotive piston kits Wiseco offers as a shelf stock kit. Our Pro Tru line is great for your Sportsman racer, who needs a high quality, forged piston to race. These kits include pistons, rings, clips, pins, and groove lock spacers (where applicable). Our Forged Automotive racing pistons are great for any racer! These kits do not include rings, but offer the highest quality forged pistons. The greatest part about all the kits below is we offer K1 Technologies connectinbg rods to complete your rebuild!

Wiseco's Buick V-6 Grand National Stroker turbo piston kit is for use with the new 3 5/8" stroker cranks. The pistons have a -27cc dish and 46cc heads that will yield a 9.3:1 compression ratio. The pistons are made with Wiseco's super strong alloy and .927" pin diameter. The 1/16" rings complete the kits. These kits come in 3.820", 3.830", and 3.840" bore sizes. The PT109H series retails at $600.14.

Wiseco is introducing a new piston kit to fit Chrysler's Slant 6 225 cubic inch engine! This flat top, -6.3cc piston has a 4.125" stroke and 1.625" compression height that will give you 10.25:1 compression ratio. Its lighter weight and superior strength is magnified with thick lands. This Wiseco Pro Tru kit comes with our XX rings- stainless steel gas nitride top, cast iron Napier hook second ring, and flex vent oil ring with gas nitride scraper rails. The Chrysler slant 6 225 cubic inch piston kit (PT112H series) retails at $630.15.

Designed with input from today's leading edge engine builders, Wiseco's new Q16/ Outlaw Shootout series piston kits are ready to fill the demands of today's Big Valve/ Big Cubic Inch Sportsman series engines. This piston kit is part of our top shelf Forged Automotive racing line. These pistons feature vertical gas ports, pressure seal grooves, and anti-detonation grooves to prevent detonation and promote long ring life, as well as maximum horsepower and oil control. Since these pistons are built on a dedicated forging, Wiseco's Q16/ Outlaw Shootout series pistons are designed for lighter weight and extreme durability, as expected in a modern day race engine. It's dome configurations are designed to fit conventional heads and to maintain proper flame travel and desired compression ratios. Wiseco's NEW Q16/ Outlaw Shootout series pistons will be out soon!

Wiseco is expanding its line of valve train components! You know that Wiseco is your One Name. One Solution. for the top end, but we now offer titanium and stainless steel valves, cam shafts, cam chains, and valve shims.

Our valves are forged, one piece valves that ensure perfect sealing and durability. They have CVD/ CNI coatings to reduce heat and friction. Our new valve shim kits complement our valve lines- made to OEM specifications. The shims are heat treated to ensure long service life.

Wiseco's new line of camshafts are made from billet without any core exchange or head modifications required. Our cams are specifically designed to increase bottom end and mid-range power for instant throttle response. These cams have been dyno and field tested to assure a perfect match with our complete line of pistons!

    You may have spoken with Ron Gryzmala when you called to place an order or needed assistance with a return. Ron is in our Tier 1 phone group, but is also the man you'll speak to if you have any warranty or other customer service issues. He has spent the last 10 years with Wiseco, with 5 years in manufacturing and 5 years with our sales team. Ron brings great experience to share from our shop floor that he brings to our customers and our sales team.

    Ron has been a biker for 11 years and loves to ride his Harley. When not at work, you will see Ron out on Lake Erie or one of the rivers fishing- steel head season is coming up. He is also working on earning his degree. Ron is a great addition to our sales team!

    Brian Nutter is in our Automotive sales group. With 9 years under his belt at Wiseco, Brian can assist you with any automotive concerns. Whether it's creating a custom piston design, giving technical advice, or placing a stocking order for you,Brian thoroughly enjoys working with the best engine builders and racers in the business.

    As a life long racer, Brian has worked for many engine builders. Following a stint in the Air force, he started at the School of Automotive Machinists in Houston Texas. He learned machining, porting, flowbench development, engine building, and endlessly dyno'd many different types of engines. From there, he worked at Scott Shafiroff Racing in New York (who specializes in Big Block Chevys) and CJ Batten of Michigan (who specialized in 4v engine design). When not at work, Brian tools around on the family hotrods and heads to the track whenever possible. His wife Laura is an avid sportbike rider. Between the two of them, they've enjoyed molding their 5 year old son Van into another gearhead that may one day work at Wiseco himself! Brian is a great addition to our automotive technical sales team!
    Our 2009 Sport Compact, Pro Tru, and Forged Automotive Racing Pistons catalogs will be unveiled at the SEMA Show November 4-7 in Las Vegas, Nevada. These catalogs are filled with new offerings for the upcoming year! The catalogs will be available in early November.

    Students from Brigham Young University have built a Formula 1 car under the Partners for the Advancement of Collaborative Engineering Education (PACE). A set of custom Wiseco pistons are powering the engine. The students have been working with 20 universities around the world. The car was presented at the PACE conference in Detroit in September, displayed the the GM Vehicle Performance Center. It went back to BYU for some final tweaking to prepare for testing in Korea at GM Daewoo. Once all testing is complete, the car will be the pace car at an F1 race in Macau in 2009. Keep your eyes peeled for this car!
    We are saddened to announce the death of one of our dear friends and Supercross racers from Mexico. Back in August, Wiseco powered racer, Rene Reyes Aguirre, was murdered in Juarez Cuidad, Mexico following a weekend of racing. Rene, a 24 year old from Chihuahua, Mexico, was a 5 time Supercross SX1 champion. He even made his way into US Supercross, making main events. Rene came from a family of renowned racers, including his father, a racer from the 1960's, and his late brother. Everyone at Wiseco sends our thoughts and prayers to Rene's family and friends. He was a great friend to Wiseco and he will be missed.

    Wiseco powered Ashley Fiolek continues her domination in the Women's MX Pro class. She just recently won the championship! Congratulations to Ashley for her performance and her dedication to the sport! Great job! (picture right)

    Tyler Medaglia of Wiseco powered Team Suzuki/ Rockstar Energy/ OTSFF in Canada won the MX2 final at the Montreal Supercross in September! During the event, Madaglia clocked the fastest practice time on the track at Olympic Stadium. This was his second consecutive win of the event. Great job finishing up the season!

    TM Racing of Italy put 2 of its riders on the podium last weekend during the GP of Italy. In the E2 class, Rodrig Thain finished behind Aubert and Salminen in the first day of racing and fought hard on the second. At the end of the race, Thain said, "...I feel good and my TM EN 450F works perfectly. I will try to attack because I still have the chance to finish third in the championship." .
    Teammate Robert Kvarnstrom in the E Junior class had a fantastic first day winning his class! Unfortunately on day 2, he had a bad fall, but was not injured. At the end of the race, Robert said, "...My first victory was so beautiful. My TN EN 144 was fantastic and my team superlative. Unfortunately I ruined everything with the fall on Sunday. I hope to be able to take part in the last GP in France..." The remaining teammates D'Ambrosio and Cherubini had good showings for the weekend. TM Racing will be participating in the last round of the Enduro World Championship on October 12 in Ales, France. Good luck and great job!
