Dear Friends,
This time every year, we write to ask our friends and supporters for their continued help with our work. If it is possible for you to help us again this year, we would be most grateful. I can assure you that Randy Coleman-Riese and I work tirelessly to carry out the mission of the Cornerstone Forum, and to do so in a way that merits your continued support.
THE MISSION
In the broadest of terms, our mission is to draw on René Girard's anthropological insights and on the theological opus of Henri de Lubac, Hans Urs von Balthasar, Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, and others in order to show that beneath the political, economic and even geopolitical events of our time an enormous anthropological shift is taking place which can be neither properly understood nor promisingly addressed without reference to the cultural and historical impact of the Christian revelation.
THE MEANS
As you know, to accommodate my current writing and research project, we have turned to the internet and social networking technologies in our effort to fulfill our mission. Whatever tools we employ under any given circumstance, however, they are all aimed at clarifying the spiritual and cultural predicament now facing Western civilization and, in the process, offering a hope that is invulnerable to whatever historical calamities might befall us.
I very much miss visiting friends around the country and exploring together the mysteries of faith and the perils facing our culture and world at this critical moment in history. In lieu of that, I urge you to join us via the tools on which we are now relying. Below are links to our website, weblog, and Facebook page. Randy and I post to the Weblog frequently and the Facebook page virtually every day. Follow us on Facebook by clicking on the thumbs-up "like" at the top of the page. Also, while on the main website, make sure to sign up for our email newsletter, which we plan to send out more frequently.
We have just posted on the website, Facebook page, and weblog a video of the presentations two colleagues and I gave at the recent Notre Dame Center for Ethics and Culture conference. We hope to be posting videos more regularly in the months ahead.

THE GRATITUDE
On behalf of the Forum's Executive Director, Randy Coleman-Riese, and our Board of Directors, I want to thank you most sincerely for your many kindnesses. We continue to need your financial help and your prayers. Please know that you are in our prayers daily.
Affectionately, Gil Bailie

We are grateful for your continued interest and support of our efforts. If you find our work of value please let your friends know about our work. These are difficult times for many non-profit organizations dependent as we are upon the generosity of friends. In the coming days we will be needing all of the supporters we can find to help us continue this work, and 'word of mouth' recommendations are most useful in helping those unfamiliar with our work to find us. As Gil mentioned Facebook is one more avenue we are exploring to help spread the word about our work. So, any of you who have a Facebook account and friends please 'like' us and let your friends know it. We hope you will visit our Facebook page often and leave comments on our posts.
This month all of our donors will be receiving our annual Fall Appeal letter along with a copy of Gil's presentation at the Notre Dame Center for Ethics and Culture made in early November. The final two CDs of the Famished Craving series will be mailed to our sustaining donors before the end of the year. Those renewing their support will receive the CDs in a complementary vinyl album in which all 13 of the CDs may be stored.
Blessings, Randy Coleman-Riese
