| Child Custody and Military Service |
| |
The 2007 Florida Legislature enacted a
number of laws affecting family law. For
instance, the legislature amended Florida
Statute 61 by prohibiting a court from
permanently establishing, modifying or
amending a prior judgment or order
pertaining to child custody during the time
that the parent is activated, deployed or
temporarily assigned to military service.
