HELLO FROM LAURA   

 

Last weekend, my grand daughter Cheryl and I went to the Natural Living Expo in Sturbridge, MA.  We tasted  teas and juices and had various alternative treatments.   

We saw John Holland, a medium from Dorchester, MA. He brought many spirits in to share information with their families. Unfortunately, we were not chosen to speak to our family members who had passed.  
During Halloween, it has been said that the veil between dimensions becomes thinner.  Don't be surprised if you contact or are contacted by the spirit of a loved one.    

MIND: BROKEN HEART SYNDROME

A sudden upset can affect the heart, in a way which resembles a heart attack.  Trauma can release 4-5 times as many stress hormones as a heart attack.  Broken heart people can be critically ill, but can recover miraculously within 72 hours.  A true heart attack
takes much longer to get well.  

A healthy heart is dependent on diet, exercise and relaxation of the mind.  The mind is directly connected to the heart.  Fast food and lack of  exercise is as serious as depression, grief, or trauma.  Stress must be alleviated so it does not cause body or mind problems.
Are we suprised with this mind/body response? 

BODY: METABOLIC SYNDROME

 

Metabolic Syndrome, caused by inflammation,  is marked by a high waist to hip ratio. It is a cluster of conditions that generally includes insulin resistance, high blood pressure, elevated triglycerides and reduced HDL. Too many pounds and low activity levels are fueling the epidemic of a pre-diabetes. Eventually, when the pancreas tires and can't keep up with insulin production, blood glucose levels rise above the normal range. This signals the onset of impaired glucose tolerance or diabetes. When the sugar can't be stored quickly, it  sticks to proteins inside the body and causes them to clump together.  They lose the ability to work well.  

 

Lessen sugar and white trash  products, exercise on a regular basis, use herbs, spices  to reduce inflammation.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: GLUTEN

 

Gluten is the protein in certain grains like wheat, barley, kamut, spelt, rye, malts and triticale.  Oats, as well.  

Gluten is what makes the dough elastic - for those who have kneaded and baked bread. 
People with Celiac Disease, cannot digest gluten.  

For others, eating gluten free products, will avoid Genetically Modified Grains such as wheat, barley, rye and oats. Non-gluten grains such as rice are substituted to make bread, pancakes, cookies etc.  

   

Mark Hyman MD, recommends detoxing your system by vacationing from foods such as dairy and gluten in his 6 week detox program for clearing the body and brain.   He writes about it in his book, "The UltraMind Solution".
