Tunnel to Towers 5K September 9th
Organized by King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Co.
For the past 10 years, the Stephen Siller Foundation has honored the life and legacy of one of our fallen heros from September 11th. On the tragic morning the World Trade Towers were hit, FDNY Stephen Siller had just finished his shift when he got the call. Willing to sacrifice his own life to help others, Siller rushed to the Towers. In order to reach the Towers, Siller had to run from the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel (which was already closed to vehicular traffic) with 60 pounds of gear.
Every year, the Stephen Siller Foundation honors his life by recreating his run. Over the years the run has spread to cities across the country. This year, King of Prussia is honored to be the only PA location hosting the race.
Join the King of Prussia Fire Company Sunday, September 9th for a 5K and 1 Mile Family Fun Walk. Registration is now open! Gather your colleauges and employees to form a company team. Any business/company that registers 10 or more runners will be provided a 3x3 banner for their logo to hang at the Fire House for the race, as well as the opportunity to provide racers with promotional items and/or handouts.
Event volunteers and sponsorship opportunities are available. Don't miss the chance to support your local heros and honor the those that sacrificed their lives to protect others Contact the KOP Fire Co. at t2tkop@gmail.com or visit them at t2trun.org for volunteer and sponsor information.

King of Prussia Mall and Upper Merion Township Building

Electric car charging station at the King of Prussia Mall.
|
King of Prussia now offers drivers of electric cars two convenient locations to recharge their vehicles.
The Upper Merion Township Building recently installed four electric car charging stations. The devices are open to the public and are FREE to use.
Back in October 2011, the King of Prussia Mall installed two electric charging stations on the upper level parking deck near Nordstrom and two on the upper level deck of The Court. The charging stations provide customers 208/240 volts, which is standard to all electric cars, for a fee.
