Free Lunchtime Concerts Presented by the King of Prussia District

This summer, KOP-BID wants to get King of Prussia Business Park employees out of their office during lunch and outside, enjoying the beautiful summer weather. On the first day of summer, we're kicking-off our 2012 Summer Concert Series in the Business Park, and we hope to see you there!

The summer concerts will take place outdoors on the lawn at GSI Commerce from 11:30 am-1:30 pm on June 20th, July 19th and August 16th. Bands will perform on stage, while attendees enjoy their lunch hour away from their desk. Freshly prepared lunch items will be available for purchase but admission to the concert is FREE! 

We encourage all guests to walk over, bring a blank, a chair and relax!

Excellence in Restoration and Property Management Award

King of Prussia District (KOP-BID) Executive Director Eric Goldstein and KOP-BID partners proudly hold the organization's Excellence Award from the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce.

King of Prussia District was honored April 18 with the 2012 Excellence in Restoration and Property Management Award by the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce. 

The award is presented to an organization or company that has made a significant investment in upgrading and improving the community through the enhancement, renovation or restoration of their building, property or office.

PennDOT and Upper Merion Township Work 

Neccesary roadway improvements will begin this summer by PennDot, Upper Merion Township and Aqua PA. The following is a listing of current projects and scheduled road closings. 

• Henderson Rd. will be widened to five lanes between Saulin Blvd. and Queens Dr. The project, which is being advanced by the Upper Merion Township Transportation Authority, has already been put out to bid and construction is expected to begin on or around June 1st. PennDOT will suspend work during the holiday season and resume work on or around March 2013 (weather dependent). One lane of traffic will be maintained in both directions during construction.   
  
      
• Aqua PA will complete a concrete patching project along DeKalb Pike (Rt. 202) between Mall Blvd. and Allendale Rd. on the weekends of June 1st and June 8th. Beginning at 10 pm on Friday night of each weekend, DeKalb Pike between Mall Blvd. and Allendale Rd. will be closed and detoured. The detour will run from Mall Blvd. to Willis Rd. to Allendale Rd. The timing of the project is weather dependent. 

An early goal of the King of Prussia District (KOP-BID) is to help create a "sense of arrival" into King of Prussia and help define the boundaries of the community. The missing sense of arrival into King of Prussia was a common theme expressed my property owners during the formation of the BID and was reiterated in subsequent surveys conducted after our programs began in January 2011.
