New Access to KOP
New Henderson Road Ramps Opening October 21
The Henderson Road Ramps Project, that created new ramps to connect westbound I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) with Henderson Road and South Gulph Road, will be open Friday, October 21. | |
Construction nearly complete on the Henderson Road Ramp project.
|
The new ramps will provide easier access for travel between westbound I-76 and Henderson Road and South Gulph Road. The ramps will offer motorists another option to reach King of Prussia besides using the existing Gulph Mills and Route 202 interchanges with I-76.
The project is financed entirely with federal funds secured through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. |

Excavation phase complete on Allendale and DeKalb Pike median.
|
Work began Monday, October 3 on two medians on DeKalb Pike and three medians on First Avenue on KOP-BID's first physical improvement project. Landscape contractor All Seasons Landscaping is moving quickly through the demolition portion of the project and is expected to complete this phase by mid-October.
A variety of lush perennials, grasses, shrubs and trees will be installed by the end of October, brining year-round interest to the once barren medians.
The remaining three medians on DeKalb Pike included in the project will be completed in spring 2012. Be sure to check our Facebook page and Twitter feed for project updates. |
From the Executive Director
Suburban Sprawl to Edge City?
In November, Byron Comati, Director of Strategic Planning at SEPTA, Rob Henry, Executive Director of GVF-TMA and I will give a presentation about extending the Norristown High Speed Line (NHSL) into King of Prussia at the 9th Annual Design on the Delaware conference in Philadelphia.
We believe that the Norristown High Speed Line extension is a powerful tool to help King of Prussia evolve from a sprawling suburb into a vibrant edge city!
