Census update #1
September 2012

profile.id 2011 Census update is online!

Good news for Census users! .id's online community profiles covering local government areas and suburbs across Australia have been re-released with 2011 Census data. The data has been analysed and presented in charts and tables ready for you to incorporate into your planning and reports.

Critically for decision makers, the data is not presented in isolation, but as part of a time series back to 1991 so you can see where each area sits in a cycle of change and plan for its future.

You can access all 230 profile.id sites at .id's online
demographic resource centre.

Each site has been funded by the local council to support evidence-based decision making in their area.

Not only will you find the 2011 Census data, but an entirely new profile.id website complete with new topics, enhancements of existing topics, an improved user interface and modern design.

Training video available

To accompany the new release of profile.id, we've put together the first in a series of online training videos.

This one will introduce you to the 2011 Census version of profile.id and take you through the additional data, changes to the website and new navigational features.

It's only about five minutes long and will save you time in looking for all the new features yourself.

If you work for local government, please feel free to contact us to find out when we will be visiting your council to deliver on-site training.
