As the year comes to an end my heart is full of gratitude - for my patients and their support of our practice, for my team and their commitment and passion towards the vision, for my specialists and associates who define teamwork and for my family that has whole-heartedly accepted 229 Charles Street as another 'family member'.  I am humbled and inspired by the quality of people I am surrounded by on a daily basis.

Shopping for gifts, baking, parties and wrapping up things at work seem to be the common thread of everybody's life at this time of the year. I love Christmas because it is the season of giving. Over the years I have learnt to simplify my activities so that I may be 'present' while I prepare for the holiday and spend time with my loved ones.

This has been an incredible year for our practice. After over a year of planning, we made a complete overhaul of the facility this fall. It has been our busiest year since we opened in Westfield 12 years ago and the excitement at 229 Charles Street is electrifying! I also started teaching the dental residents at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ and had the opportunity to design workshops and programs for dentists and team members as well. I find teaching to be as emotionally rewarding to me as giving a patient a healthy and beautiful smile for life.  As the year comes to an end, I would like to thank our patients for their support of our practice. It is because of you that we enjoy such success. The renovation was designed so that we may serve you better.   

Mitch Harris of Westfield was the first patient to be seen in our brand new facility! Mitch has been with us for over 10 years and it was awesome to kick off this very special day treating a friend!

In addition to the new reception area, there were many improvements (too many to mention all of them in this newsletter) that were made to improve efficiency and comfort of provided service. We now have brand new infrastructure and new equipment and a suite specially dedicated to the treatment of periodontal disease. Computer monitors in every treatment room allow you to be an active participant in your diagnosis and care. Lynda, our office manager was insistent on us going paperless (even though it meant adding one more major change to an extremely ambitious amount of projects) when we reopened after the renovations. So now you will not see any paper charts in the office.

We have used our Facebook page this year for education, entertainment and engagement with our patients and friends. If you have not 'liked' us yet, please do. I am sure that you will enjoy the information and practice updates.
