The Obama administration is now running "apology" ads in Pakistan. The ads include both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama apologizing for an obscure YouTube video that is blocked in Pakistan. 

Fox News reports, 

The television ads in Pakistan feature clips of President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton during press appearances in Washington in which they condemned the video. Their words were subtitled in Urdu.

"We absolutely reject its content and message," said Clinton in the advertisement.

A caption on the ad reads: "Paid Content."

The advertisements end with the seal of the American Embassy in Islamabad, the Pakistani capital.

NY Post: Source Confirms Obama Admin's Consideration of Blind Sheik Release

  The "Let's Do Better" bus tour will visit with seniors in their communities to discuss their reaction to the controversial health reform care bill passed in 2010. This legislation, which remains unpopular with seniors, cuts Medicare, cripples Medicare Advantage, establishes a "Medicare IRS", and generally provides for a bureaucratic takeover of important health care decisions - all unpopular with seniors.

The tour is a project of the 60 Plus Association.

Events surrounding the tour will include rallies, health care briefings, meet & greets, and townhall meetings. It will also feature health care experts and advocates, as well as the 60 Plus leadership team of Jim Martin, Amy Frederick, and legendary entertainer Pat Boone - who is the national spokesperson for the seniors group.

60 Plus, founded more than 20 years ago and currently supported by some 7.2 million "senior activists", is often referred to as the conservative alternative to the AARP. The group funded by voluntary donations from over a quarter-million donors and does not accept taxpayer funding, unlike the AARP.

He was the first to admit, a lot of last night's show was something you had heard before - but it's important to start at the beginning and to make sure you know what you believe before you get put into action. And tonight, Glenn revealed ways for you to really get moving! 

Tonight, the focus of the show was "Activate" - and it was all about the election and how you can make sure that one way or another - 2012 is a year for a mandate for or against the progressives. And if you think it doesn't matter just take a look at what is happening right now in Wisconsin. Progressives and unions are doing everything they can to make sure that Walker loses. It's a microcosm to what is happening around the country, and Glenn thought it was so important that he recapped it on tonight's show (in under three minutes!):

Dear Friend and Patriot Leader,

As you know too well, unless our friends who fear God, respect our constitution and love freedom unite now and vote in this upcoming election, we will lose the America we have known. Yet remarkably, 15-30% of self-identified Christians are not even registered to vote. If even a small percentage of those joined the fight, it could make the difference in the 2012 election. Making this happen is my highest priority, and once again I need your help.

At the Pennsylvania Pastors' Network (PPN), we have been working very aggressively with pastors across the commonwealth. We're calling on them to stand boldly at the pulpit, preach the truth, and teach the Scripture as it addresses the intersection of policy and Christian culture. At the same time, I'm encouraging them to urge their members to register to vote, and to vote biblically and constitutionally on Election Day. PPN has just embarked on a mass Christian voter registration effort, called  "From Pews to Polls -An Initiative to Protect Religious Freedom in America." We want to reach into every church in Pennsylvania and enlist thousands of new voters. This is where you can help in an easy, but very big way.

First, I need your help to identify churches and pastors. If they believe in the authority of Scripture and that our rights come from God not government, we want to work with them. If you are able to make one or more recommendations of this sort, please click here to be taken directly to our website. Once there, simply supply the requested information, and if you include his or her phone number, we will personally call that pastoror church leader.

If you'd prefer to send information to a church or pastor, please feel free to forward the letter you'll find at the bottom of this email. I sent this letter last week to roughly 2000 pastors across Pennsylvania, but there are thousands and thousands more who need to know about this. As you help us find them, you help restore our foundation. We'll be able to discreetly and confidentially determine which members of each congregation are registered to vote. This information will be sent directly to the Pastoror another church member and we will assist them in the enlistment of his congregation in reclaiming a Christian founded America. It's easy, it's confidential, and may make all the difference.

We must enable Christian soldiers who understand that our freedoms come from God and that being the 'salt and the light' is most easily lived out by voting for candidates who are likely to share Biblical values. Voter registration for November 2012 must be completed by October 9th. The deadline is fast approaching. We must quickly move forward.  

The next step will be up to you. We want to make it as easy as possible so we've done all the preparation and have absorbed all the cost in order to provide you the following:

• Online Voter Registration Drive Kit - This kit has everything you need to plan and implement a voter registration drive in your church.  September is the month to do this, as the deadline to register is the first week of October in most states. (Church organized voter registration efforts are completely legal and appropriate.)
• Registered Voter Look-Up Service - We will confidentially identify those in your church membership who are not registered to vote and return that information to you.
• Follow-Up Email - We will send or provide a template for a personal email from you or me asking unregistered members to register online or to register at a church registration drive during the month of September.
• Early Voting Information - We will provide information and assistance in helping members of your congregation to vote by Absentee Ballot if they cannot be physically present on Election Day in November.

The Great Betrayal: Obama's Wars and the War in Iraq

Daniel Greenfield's new Freedom Center pamphlet, The Great Betrayal: Obama's Wars and the War in Iraq, is an effort to understand the politics of the "war on terror" which has now reached a final punctuation point with the U.S. decision to speed its withdrawal from the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan (where success was once deemed so crucial to national security), and to practice an incoherent form of regime change in Libya while ignoring more serious threats in Syria and Iran.

The war on terror began, Greenfield shows, as an admirable bipartisan commitment soon after the tragedy of 9/11-an effort to transcend party lines not only to punish those who attacked our country but also to interrupt planning for further attacks and try to stop the international spread of the Islamic jihad behind the attacks. But the Democratic Party, with the honorable exception of a few individuals like Richard Gephardt and Joe Lieberman, turned its back on a war soon after authorizing it, and did so at a time when American troops were facing hostile enemy fire.

Although Senate Democrats on the intelligence oversight committee had been granted access to every piece of data available to the White House, they now accused President Bush of tricking them to secure their approval. In fact, their own about-face was entirely dictated by political considerations when a Sixties antiwar activist, Howard Dean, surged ahead in the Democratic primary polls and it appeared for a moment that Americans were on the side of retreat and capitulation.

Although regime change in Iraq had been official U.S. policy since Bill Clinton signed the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998, Democratic senators such as John Kerry who only months earlier had supported the war effort now launched demoralizing attacks on the American commander-in-chief and his troops in the field, stigmatizing it as "the wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time." If the truth was the first casualty of their war against the Bush administration, the second casualty was the principle of bi-partisanship that had guided foreign policy debates throughout the Cold War, the principle that "politics stops at the water's edge." Now partisan politics trumped security.

The unrestrained attacks on the Iraq War as illegal and unjustified went largely unanswered by Republicans who failed to call the Democratic saboteurs of the nation's war effort to account or to decry the risk their cynical attacks posed to American servicemen and women on the battlefield. As Greenfield demonstrates, the Democrats' partisanship had consequences not only in Iraq but elsewhere in the region: the paralysis that resulted from their "anti-war" campaign led straight to the destruction of Lebanon and the installation of a terrorist army, Hezbollah, there as a regime within a regime. And it emboldened an overtly Islamofascist regime in Iran not only to supply the IEDs responsible for most of our troop fatalities in Iraq but also to proceed with a nuclear program aimed directly at Israel and the West.

And the result of his policies in Afghanistan has been as disastrous. While the President presented his rationale for pursuing war there as the pursuit of al-Qaeda, after abandoning his "surge" (which resulted in two thirds of all America's Afghan casualties there and the resurgence of the Taliban allies of al-Qaeda), he blithely prepared for withdrawal as if national objectives had been met.

"Losing our Sons": Documentary looks at domestic Islamic radicalization and jihadization

Charles Jacobs at Americans for Peace and Tolerance announced today the release of a trailer for their upcoming documentary, "Losing Our Sons", featuring Melvin Bledsoe - father of domestic terrorist Carlos Bledsoe aka Abdulhakim Mohamed who gunned down US Army recruiter Pvt. William Long at an Army-Navy recruiting center in Little Rock, Arkansas in June 2009. Melvin Bledsoe testified at the House Homeland Security Committee hearing earlier this month.

Are You Registered to Vote? Do You Have a Photo ID? Do They Match?

According to the U.S. Constitution all American citizens 18 years of age or older, regardless of race, color, religion, or creed, whether male or female, have the right to vote.  However, voting in Pennsylvania this year will be a bit more complicated than prior years due to the new Voter ID law.  A dedicated group of Main Line citizens are doing what they can to make sure that you can exercise that right on November 6th. 

A small table located at Gateway Shopping Center (near Trader Joes and Great Earth Vitamins) is staffed with volunteers on weekends who will assist you by:

• Providing voter registration forms
• Helping people to complete their voter registration form
• Providing absentee ballot application forms and completion instructions
• Providing up to date information on the voter ID requirements

Additionally, if anyone has a question that the volunteer on duty is unable to answer, we will take their name, email address and/or phone number and get back to the questioner with an answer.

The table will be staffed every Friday from 3 pm to 7 pm and every Saturday & Sunday from 9 am to 7 pm now thru October 7th.

We recommend that everyone check to make sure that (1) you are still registered to vote and that (2) your voter registration name exactly matches your name on the photo ID that you plan to use on Election Day.  To confirm that you are registered, go to www.can9/10/12ivote.org . Select Pennsylvania; then click on Find Voter Registration Status.  Entering your personal data will allow you to confirm that you are registered and provide you with the address of your polling place.

Some may question whether citizens in our area really need help in registering to vote.  When this service was provided in 2008 over 1000 people registered at the table!  Volunteers assisted citizens from the 5-county Philadelphia area and Lancaster, Berks, and Lehigh Counties. 

Key dates for this fall's election are:

10/9 - last day that Voter Registration forms will be accepted by Voter Services

10/30 - last day that Absentee Ballot applications will be accepted by Voter Services

11/2 - last day that completed Absentee Ballots will be accepted by Voter Services

11/6 - Election Day

Often, conservatives complain that Barack Obama has not been vetted. Honestly, he hasn't really been vetted. We do not know a lot about Barack Obama from his time before the United States Senate. Much of what we could learn has conveniently disappeared. The few things we do know - like his connections to terrorist Bill Ayers - are dismissed by the media.

2. GAO: The Federal Government Runs 160 Housing Programs

3. Obama's seven point lead up in smoke

Gallup's Presidential Election tracking poll for September 5-11 had President Obama leading Governor Romney by seven points 50% to 43%.

Now the Gallup tracking poll shows that Obama's seven point lead has gone up in the smoke from burning U.S. embassies. For the last two days Obama only leads Romney by a single point. That is why the biased media wing of the Democrats' party is desperately trying its darnedest to convince you the election is over.

Truth is the Ultimate Gaffe

Gaffe, a word that temporarily came to be associated with political misstatements, has returned to its origins as a social faux pas, such as saying something at a dinner party that everyone knows to be true, but that know mustn't be said out loud.

 

The media is still doing its best to pretend that a gaffe is a mistake, when they are actually using it to mean the telling of inconvenient truths. Obama's reign of error is a constellation of inconvenient truths, economic, security and legal, that cannot be discussed in public. The telling of these inconvenient truths has been met with cries of racism, no matter how little they have to do with race. Now they are being met with cries of "Gaffe, Gaffe", when Romney brings them up.

Did Obama skip presidential intelligence briefings on the most serious national security threats for a week before September 11? Did the Benghazi consulate lack basic security in a city where Islamist militias were running rampant and attacks on foreign diplomats had already taken place? Was the entire situation a result of an illegal war fought by Obama under false pretenses that armed Islamist militias and set them loose to persecute Libyan Sufis and seize half of Mali? Did Obama sleep through the beginning of the largest wave of attacks on America during his term while partying in Vegas?

Such inconvenient truths can only be met by accusing their teller of committing the horrible gaffe of politicizing the formerly apolitical and bipartisan arena of unilateral wars and the violence arising from them-- an area that the Democrats decided was off-limits ever since they stopped criticizing such wars and began fighting them four years ago.

Since our Egyptian and Libyan embassies were attacked we've seen a steady stream of statements from the Obama administration who blame an obscure 14 minute film for the outbreak of the violence.

For example, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called the video "disgusting and reprehensible."

Did you hear Clinton complain about the offense the musical afforded to Mormons? No? Because according to a column in The Wall Street Journal, she didn't.

This illustrates the politically correct, free speech double standard.

Would Mrs. Clinton ever attend a Broadway spoof entitled "The Qur'an?"

Better yet, would such a musical ever be performed on Broadway?

This glaring double standard is a frontal assault on our precious First Amendment-by the very people who have taken an oath to uphold it.

Mormons, Catholics, Protestants, Hindus, Buddhists, etc., don't respond to offenses to their beliefs with mass riots. They understand that free speech protects the right to offend.

Thus, UN Resolution 16/18 would have one notable effect-suppressing speech that offends Muslims. That would be the beginning of the end of the First Amendment.

We've Had Enough!!

Since the unjustified assaults on the U.S. embassies and consulates in Egypt, Libya, and over 23 countries, many in the Obama administration, the Congress, the media, and academia, have apologized, blamed or insinuated that a satirical film about Mohammed was the catalyst for all the violence.

We, the undersigned, know better-and we've had enough.

We've had enough of the Obama administration's efforts to placate Islamist mobs motivated by ideology, or hatred of America, or just plain thuggery, with its repeated references to this obscure film that prior to September 11, 2012, no one had ever heard of.

We've had enough of the Obama administration and some Members of Congress insinuating or even implying that the violence against our embassies would not have occurred had it not been for this "offense" against Islam.

We've had enough of those who say a single blog post about an obscure film satirizing Islam is somehow responsible for the violence and anger raging throughout the Muslim world.

We've had enough of political leaders who cower in the face of the intimidation and bullying tactics of radical Muslims around the world who can never be appeased enough or accommodated enough.

We've had enough of the "establishment media's" double standard, who defend satirical films and art that offend Christians and Jews as "free speech," but condemn satire that offends Muslims as "hate speech."

We've had enough of American politicians who fail to see or refuse to see the clear and present threat the Muslim Brotherhood poses to the United States.

We've had enough of the message of weakness coming out of Washington when what is required now is a defense of America, a defense of our values, strength, courage and resolve.

We are the silent majority in America.

We don't riot when offended. We don't storm embassies, kill ambassadors, or torch government buildings.

And we know that we've been here once before.

In 1979, we said "enough" to an economy in shambles, skyrocketing gas prices, and a president whose weakness emboldened Iranian radicals to hold Americans hostage for 444 days.

On November 6^th, we will again say "enough," just as patriotic and responsible Americans have said "enough" in the past.

Lying & Hiding

It has been nine days since Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans were killed in a vicious assault on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Since that deadly attack, virtually nothing we have been told by the Obama Administration about the attack is true.

• We don't know how Ambassador Stevens was killed. Early media accounts suggested he died from smoke inhalation. But there were other reports indicating that he had been viciously attacked and murdered. Presumably an autopsy has been performed. Where are the results?
• We were told that the Navy SEALs who died while defending Stevens were part of his security detail. When the fighting started, they did what our courageous SEALs are trained to do -- they fought back! While their precise role in Libya is vague, they were not part of Stevens' security team. It now appears as though Stevens was somehow separated from his "small security detail" when he traveled from the U.S. embassy in Tripoli to the consulate in Benghazi.
  
  In fact, we now know that there were no Marines stationed at diplomatic posts in Libya. White House Press Secretary Jay Carney was asked repeatedly yesterday who made the decision not to post Marines in Libya, and Carney repeatedly dodged the question.
• We were told that the hired Libyan security detail fought bravely to defend Ambassador Stevens. It was later reported that members of that team betrayed his location when he left the consulate and moved to a "safe house." We were told that Libyans rushed to help Stevens. Yet the only evidence of that is a video of Stevens being dragged while the crowd yells "Allahu Akbar!"
• U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice was dispatched to all the Sunday talk shows to deny that this was a terrorist attack. She insisted over and over again that it was a "spontaneous" event, related to protests over a "very hateful video on the Internet." However, Stevens worried for months about "never-ending security threats in Benghazi" and knew that he was on an Al Qaeda hit list.
  
  The Obama Administration has sent FBI agents to investigate the "crime scene." Presumably they will interview Libyans who live in the area. CBS has already done that. According to witnesses they spoke to, "there was never an anti-American protest outside of the consulate [in Benghazi, Libya]. Instead, they say, it came under planned attack." CBS reporter Margaret Brennan added, "That is in direct contradiction to the administration's account of the incident."
• There are reports suggesting that the man behind the attack may have been released from GITMO in 2007. (Presumably it won't be long until Obama tells us it is all George Bush's fault.) Let me remind you of the political atmosphere in 2007.
  
  The Democrat Party had just taken control of Congress. Top Democrats, led by Senator Dick Durbin and then-Senator Barack Obama, along with the ACLU, constantly insisted that GITMO be closed, that the prisoners were being held illegally and that they should be tried here in our civilian courts.
  
  GITMO detainees had legal representation from top law firms around the country. Left-wing legal eagles lined up to do pro bono work for these thugs. That's right -- their "charity" of choice was defending Islamic extremists. Attorney General Eric Holder has appointed several of them to top Justice Department positions where they serve today.
  
  From the GITMO release of the terrorist who may have led this attack to the failure to provide adequate protection for our people to the lies of the past nine days, this whole disaster is owned by the left and Obama.

For over a week, the "main stream" media have been complicit in hiding the facts, likely hoping the story would just go away. There has been more interest in a three-month old tape of a Mitt Romney fundraiser than a terrorist attack that killed our ambassador and three other Americans. Only in the last 24 hours, as Obama's story has collapsed, have a few journalists dared to ask serious questions.

We supposedly have a free press in this country. Yet, on so many issues our left-wing media behaves like pro-regime propagandists that are common in socialist dictatorships!


Defend Marriage -- Vote Romney!

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg told an audience at the University of Colorado in Boulder yesterday that she believes the Defense of Marriage Act will come before the Supreme Court next year.

The Defense of Marriage Act defines marriage in federal law as the union of one man and one woman, and also grants states the right not to recognize homosexual marriages performed in other states. This common sense law overwhelmingly passed Congress in 1996 -- 342-to-67 in the House and 85-to-14 in the Senate. It was signed into law by Bill Clinton. Since then, the voters of 31 states have passed constitutional amendments protecting the traditional definition of marriage.

Barack Obama has endorsed same-sex "marriage" and ordered his Justice Department to stop defending the Defense of Marriage Act.

No Higher Power: The Treacherous Trio of Myths 

Spawned by Obama's "Separation of Church and State"  

In her newest book, No Higher Power, Phyllis Schlafly and journalist George Neumayr rip away all masks from Barack Obama's "War on Religious Freedom" in America and reveal the "ominous shadows" of Obama's hypocritical calls for "separating church and state" in our contemporary American culture and Constitution. The Obama agenda utilizes state power to war on orthodox religious views and values and casts across America "ominous shadows (of non-orthodox religious weapons)," including three myths long perpetrated by Humanistic/Reconstructionist forces in America's culture war. These shadows are dispelled by the light of the truth of inseparability of church and state(i.e., the truth that religious thinking/values cannot be separated from legal thinking/values).

Humanists/Reconstructionists are vicious in attacking the truth of inseparability. But the Constitution is embedded in one worldview, and can be embedded in only one worldview. This unassailable truth is viciously attacked by Humanists wielding at least three weapons (arguments) in their attack against inseparability: (1) There are no absolutes and therefore no inevitable, fixed relationships between different worldview components; (2) America must be a "pluralistic" (i.e., "diverse") nation - a culture embracing all different views and values concerning worldview; (3) given propositions (1) and (2), we must be tolerant of the "diversity" inAmerica. "Relativism" is a belief; "pluralism" is a condition; and "tolerance" is an attitude.

Obama Doesn't Just Gut Welfare Reform, He Turns It Upside Down

The controversy over the Obama Administration's gutting of welfare reform continues to grow. Two new government reports show the move's illegality and effects on taxpayers. And the House of Representatives is set to vote today to approve or disapprove Health and Human Services' (HHS) rewriting of the 1996 law.

Yesterday, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) issued a new report saying that in the years since the Clinton-era reform added work requirements to the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program, five states inquired about waivers of TANF requirements. The report confirms that since welfare reform was enacted, HHS has never before suggested that it had any authority to waive the work requirements. Waiver requests were turned down, in fact.

In specific instances in 2005 and 2007, the response from HHS was clear: "HHS stated that all applicable programmatic requirements apply to a family that is provided TANF-funded cash assistance, and the Department does not have authority to waive any of the provisions."

In the debate thus far, one question has largely gone unanswered: Just how strict are these now-controversial work requirements?

In a new report, Heritage expert Robert Rector explains that "the work requirements were quite lenient, requiring only 30 percent to 40 percent of a state's caseload to participate in work or a work-related activity and requiring individuals to work as few as 20 hours per week to fulfill the requirement....Yet half of TANF recipients receive a welfare check without performing any activity at all."

In a snapshot of the TANF recipients in March 2011, only about 14 percent of the recipients were actually meeting the work requirements. The other 86 percent were receiving their welfare benefits just the same.

As Rector says, "It is difficult to understand why anyone would want to weaken these already overly lenient work standards." Yet he details the left's vigorous opposition to work requirements in welfare dating back to the Nixon Administration.

The Obama Administration's rewriting of the law will cost taxpayers, too. A new estimate by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) says that the Obama Administration's move will actually increase the deficit by $60 million over the next 10 years. Why? Because states have been paying penalties if they aren't meeting the work requirements-and under the Administration's rewriting of the law, those penalties are gone. So is the revenue to the federal government.

But the Administration's gutting of welfare reform not only costs taxpayers; it also harms those welfare reform was designed to help. By jettisoning the law's goal of reducing dependency, the new policy will increase welfare caseloads and leave more people stuck in poverty.

Workfare separates those who truly need help from those who do not. Faced with a simple requirement to prepare or search for work, many people simply choose not to enter the welfare rolls in the first place. This is generally good for the prospective recipient and the taxpayer. As Rector explains:

Time spent on welfare never looks good on a job resume. Welfare dependence erodes work habits and job skills and reduces contacts with other employed persons that can lead to future job opportunities. Unnecessary enrollment in welfare therefore undermines an individual's long-term earnings potential and increases the prospects for future poverty.

Those already on welfare, faced with a requirement to search or prepare for work, leave welfare much more quickly. Having a work requirement tied to welfare benefits is good for recipients and good for taxpayers. As Rector's new report shows, stronger, not weaker, work requirements are needed.

But the Obama Administration is moving in the opposition direction. Under the new welfare performance measures devised by the Administration, the old pre-reform welfare program with rapidly rising caseloads would be judged a rousing success, while welfare reform itself-with rapid declines in the caseload-would be judged a failure. As Rector states, "The Obama Administration is not just gutting welfare reform; it is turning it on its head."

Falsehoods continue to circulate on this topic, but the facts are starting to break through. After speaking with Heritage's Rector, The Washington Post's "fact check" columnist took a second look at former President Bill Clinton's recent speech and gave him two "Pinocchios" for misleading people about the TANF work requirements.
