Former CIA and Special Operations members are announcing the creation of OPSEC, a new nationwide public campaign to combat the spike in leaks and politicization of Intelligence and Special Operations missions that threaten their effectiveness and the safety of Americans who conduct them. OPSEC - short for Operational Security, meaning to eliminate or reduce the exploitation of critical information - will begin with the release of "Dishonorable Disclosures," a new documentary short film highlighting the problem from the perspective of those who have served in these critical positions. The film will also serve as the basis for a TV and online advertising effort.

"Intelligence and Special Operations members are angry and frustrated at how our work has been used for political advantage by officials across government, including President Obama himself who bears special responsibility as Commander in Chief," said Scott Taylor, chairman of OPSEC and a former Navy SEAL. "We want the American people to understand the cost of these leaks and politicization both on those who serve and on our national security and to hold those in positions of leadership accountable if it doesn't stop."

OPSEC is made up of individuals who served their country in the CIA, and Special Operations Forces (SOF) consisting of Navy SEALs, Army Special Forces, Marine Corps and Air Force Special Operations. It is organized as a 501(c)(4) nonpartisan public education campaign and is independent of any political party or campaign organization.

The campaign will begin with the release of "Dishonorable Disclosures," a documentary short film that views the impact of the increasing number of leaks on Intelligence and Special Operations missions, tradecraft, tactics and capabilities from the perspective of those who have relied on these tools to carryout similar missions and protect themselves and those they served alongside. The film will be shown at events in key states across the country over the next several months, including Virginia, Florida, Ohio, Colorado, North Carolina and Nevada. "Countless leaks, interviews and decisions by the Obama Administration and other government officials have undermined the success of our Intelligence and Special Operations forces and put future missions and personnel at risk," said Fred Rustmann, an OPSEC member and 24-year veteran of the Central Intelligence Agency. "OPSEC will carry a strong message across the country that it's time for President Obama and other administration officials to stop jeopardizing national security operations for political gain."

PS: Like most Navy officers, the date of June 15, 1985, is seared in my memory. That's the date Islamic terrorists hijacked TWA Flight 847 and brutally tortured Navy Seabee Robert Stethem to death. All he had to do was scream out for mercy, and he would have been allowed to live. But he refused to utter a sound.

NEW YORK: The first session of the International Freedom Defense Congress, the operating body of the human rights organization Stop Islamization of Nations (SION), will be held in New York on September 11, 2012. The principal focus of the Congress will be a media workshop pertaining to Islamic supremacist attempts to restrict the freedom of speech in the free world, and the smear campaigns against freedom fighters in newspapers and media institutions in the West.

"The objective of this first-of-its-kind workshop is to develop media-related mechanisms to address the smear campaigns," SION said in a statement. It will also address the media's double standard regarding Islam and other religions, as epitomized in March 2012 by the New York Times' running of an anti-Catholic smear ad and rejection of a SION ad telling the truth about Islamic jihad.

It said the workshop will discuss at length the reasons behind and the results of the Western media's offensive campaigns against freedom of speech and the truth about Islam, jihad, Islamic supremacism and Muslims, which it added still occur from time to time.

Freedom fighters from all over the globe, journalists, intellectuals and academicians will be among the participants in the workshop, which will consist of brainstorming sessions to develop mechanisms for cooperation with external partners, and to develop an action plan to address the phenomenon of the Islamic war against free speech.

The organization noted that the workshop is of particular importance as it is the first ever to address the implications of Resolution 16/18 of the United Nations Human Rights Council, the stated goal of which is to "combat intolerance, negative stereotyping and stigmatisation of, discrimination, incitement to violence, and violence against persons based on religion or belief," but which is actually designed to restrict truthful speech about Islamic supremacism and jihad, so as to render the West mute and defenseless before the advancing threat of jihad and Sharia.

Resolution 16/18, which was adopted by the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva in March 2011, was backed by U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at the most recent Istanbul Process Conference in Washington in December.

This is widely viewed as a significant step toward furthering OIC efforts to destroy the freedom of speech and impose Sharia blasphemy laws on the free world.

"We are holding this Congress on the eleventh anniversary of the day jihad came to America in order to strike a blow for freedom," Geller said.

Her group will have a table outside of the Polish-American Festival & County Fair that is held on the grounds of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa. This is on 654 Ferry Rd. In Doylestown. Sandy's group will be selling roses for donations to Crisis Pregnancy Care Centers which offer alternative options to abortion.  

Along with selling roses to people coming and going to the Festival, there will be a couple of well constructed pieces of literature to distribute pertaining to 1st Amendment Religious Rights and where the Presidential Candidates stand on this issue.

The Great Betrayal: Obama's Wars and the War in Iraq

Daniel Greenfield's new Freedom Center pamphlet, The Great Betrayal: Obama's Wars and the War in Iraq, is an effort to understand the politics of the "war on terror" which has now reached a final punctuation point with the U.S. decision to speed its withdrawal from the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan (where success was once deemed so crucial to national security), and to practice an incoherent form of regime change in Libya while ignoring more serious threats in Syria and Iran.

The war on terror began, Greenfield shows, as an admirable bipartisan commitment soon after the tragedy of 9/11-an effort to transcend party lines not only to punish those who attacked our country but also to interrupt planning for further attacks and try to stop the international spread of the Islamic jihad behind the attacks. But the Democratic Party, with the honorable exception of a few individuals like Richard Gephardt and Joe Lieberman, turned its back on a war soon after authorizing it, and did so at a time when American troops were facing hostile enemy fire.

Although Senate Democrats on the intelligence oversight committee had been granted access to every piece of data available to the White House, they now accused President Bush of tricking them to secure their approval. In fact, their own about-face was entirely dictated by political considerations when a Sixties antiwar activist, Howard Dean, surged ahead in the Democratic primary polls and it appeared for a moment that Americans were on the side of retreat and capitulation.

Although regime change in Iraq had been official U.S. policy since Bill Clinton signed the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998, Democratic senators such as John Kerry who only months earlier had supported the war effort now launched demoralizing attacks on the American commander-in-chief and his troops in the field, stigmatizing it as "the wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time." If the truth was the first casualty of their war against the Bush administration, the second casualty was the principle of bi-partisanship that had guided foreign policy debates throughout the Cold War, the principle that "politics stops at the water's edge." Now partisan politics trumped security.

The unrestrained attacks on the Iraq War as illegal and unjustified went largely unanswered by Republicans who failed to call the Democratic saboteurs of the nation's war effort to account or to decry the risk their cynical attacks posed to American servicemen and women on the battlefield. As Greenfield demonstrates, the Democrats' partisanship had consequences not only in Iraq but elsewhere in the region: the paralysis that resulted from their "anti-war" campaign led straight to the destruction of Lebanon and the installation of a terrorist army, Hezbollah, there as a regime within a regime. And it emboldened an overtly Islamofascist regime in Iran not only to supply the IEDs responsible for most of our troop fatalities in Iraq but also to proceed with a nuclear program aimed directly at Israel and the West.

The Great Betrayal shows that Barack Obama's abandonment of Iraq is a betrayal of all the Americans and Iraqis who gave their lives to establish freedom in that country. And the result of his policies in Afghanistan has been as disastrous. While the President presented his rationale for pursuing war there as the pursuit of al-Qaeda, after abandoning his "surge" (which resulted in two thirds of all America's Afghan casualties there and the resurgence of the Taliban allies of al-Qaeda), he blithely prepared for withdrawal as if national objectives had been met.

"Losing our Sons": Documentary looks at domestic Islamic radicalization and jihadization

Charles Jacobs at Americans for Peace and Tolerance announced today the release of a trailer for their upcoming documentary, "Losing Our Sons", featuring Melvin Bledsoe - father of domestic terrorist Carlos Bledsoe aka Abdulhakim Mohamed who gunned down US Army recruiter Pvt. William Long at an Army-Navy recruiting center in Little Rock, Arkansas in June 2009. Melvin Bledsoe testified at the House Homeland Security Committee hearing earlier this month.

The upcoming documentary discusses how Bledsoe was radicalized by the Muslim Student Association in Tennessee and sent to terrorist training in Yemen with the written recommendation of the imam of a Nashville mosque. It also discusses how the agents of radicalization in the Nashville Muslim community have been aided by collaborators in the establishment media, politics and the so-called "interfaith" community.

Pennsylvania Republican Senate candidate Tom Smith visited Philadelphia Wednesday to propose an economic recovery plan cantered on tax cuts and less regulation.

Smith trails incumbent Democrat U.S. Sen. Bob Casey in polls and money, though he's rich enough to put millions into his own campaign. About 85 percent of the roughly $8 million Smith's campaign has raised has come from his own loans and contributions.

At a news conference at the Crown Plaza Hotel on City Line Avenue, Smith said his conservative views are rooted in his experience. He grew up on a farm, became a coal miner, a coal company owner, and eventually a wealthy businessman.

He said his prescription for the economy is based on the simple premise that it's the private sector that creates jobs.

"Our economy is sick because over regulating, overspending, overtaxing big government is toxic to the American dream," Smith said.

Smith proposes big cuts in federal spending, and a tax reform that closes most loopholes and imposes a flat tax -- a single as-yet undetermined rate for all taxpayers. Smith said he would exempt the poorest Americans from the tax, but couldn't say what income level might qualify.

He said he also wants far less government regulation. He was asked if that meant he'd leave Wall Street investment bankers to do as they please.

"Oh, absolutely not, I'm not proposing no regulations whatsoever," Smith said. "What I'm proposing and what this country and what business needs is reasonable regulations."

Smith says he does favor repealing the Dodd-Frank law regulating the financial industry.

1. A Recycled Speech of Failed Ideas and Many Straw Men

When you are in a tight race with your political opponent, you should not recycle a Jobs Act speech that failed to even persuade Democrats in Congress to pass your signature re-election initiative.

But that's what Barack Obama did. A day after Bill Clinton brought the house down, Barack Obama took to the stage and reduced, reused, and recycled old states of the union speeches that have failed him for four years.

It was boring. It was unoriginal. And it was filled with promises when he hasn't kept his past promises. Clint Eastwood's empty chair could have given a better speech than what Barack Obama offered up. And to think he wanted to give that in a stadium.

This was a safe speech you give when you have a lead. This was not a speech you give in a tight race. Don't believe me? Here are excerpts from his past States of the Union and Jobs Act speech. Lots of platitude, lots of rhetoric, little in detail, and a lot of worn out lines that have failed him before.

2. Barack Obama and the Rise of Ineptocracy

Bob Woodward is out with a new book, called "The Price of Politics." The first excerpts appeared today as Barack Obama prepares to accept the Democrat Party nomination for president. Woodward makes the best case possible as to why Barack Obama should be denied a second term.

As it turns out the fiasco of a vagina-based convention that denied God three times before the cock crowed - a convention that featured an adulterer and callous killer as its hero on the first night and an adulterous serial sexual predator as the hero on its second to prove just how serious they are about taking care of women - is really a fit metaphor for Obama's Administration. The DNC (or is it D&C) convention in Charlotte (bonus question: what is the airport code for Charlotte, NC) is a gathering of ineptocrats. Obama's Administration shows what happens when you put ineptocrats in charge of anything more complicated than a two-car funeral procession.

Union bosses who pretend they're fighters for the working class often are accused by their own employees of committing the same sins that they accuse employers of doing. Very often, when push comes to shove, union bosses become the worst kind of union busters there are-because they should know better.

My Abortion, 'Tis of Thee

If a convenient time machine were to deposit a Roman citizen, circa 140 or so, in Charlotte, he would have no trouble understanding what was going on. Our Roman might not understand a word of what was being said, but he would be able to take one look at the garish costumes, the hysterical air of self-congratulation worn by men and women who have accomplished absolutely nothing in life, and the clownish theatrics and realize exactly what was going on. "Oh no, not again," would be the last thing he would think just before being lobotomized by a loose heel from Nancy Pelosi.

 

If bankrupting the country, destroying its economy and using its legal documents to roll joints wasn't bad enough, the people responsible for all this thought it would be a fine idea to make their national convention about abortion and gay marriage. It was either that or any other random thing that will hit the right buttons on the sort of people who leave their buttons exposed to the air.

The old Democratic convention looked like some music video director's idea of Olympus. The new one looks like the stage for a concert, something popular, noisy and lip-synched. Any minute now some musician who used to be a waiter two weeks ago before going professionally viral will slink out on stage and begin making mouth movements to recorded music while digital fireworks go off in the background.

This is MTV politics designed by those who don't understand that MTV is over and that they're over. Their fifteen minutes are up and so are their four years. Cinderella won't marry the prince and spend another four years bankrupting the country. The trend that swept this mob into office is headed the other way and their desperate attempts to stay cool are as pathetic as they are hopeless.

The Democratic National Convention is swarming with rabidly enthusiastic people who are hyped up about things in the way that only the professionally cheerful are. The message is that everyone is happy to be here, repeated at decibel volumes and with simultaneous sign language translation, which is the surest sign that no one is happy to be here at all.

There's a moment in every party when no one knows anymore why they are at the party or what the point of the party is. The party is just there and they're there and they're doing their best to pretend to be having fun, but worryingly they're not sure what fun is anymore. There's just noise, balloons and lots of bright colors. Someone makes a speech and everyone applauds because it's the thing to do. And everyone stays because that's also the thing to do. That's the Convention in a nutshell.

On August 15th, the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) held what it called on its website

  One of the presenters on the telephone town hall was Wajahat Ali, one of the co-authors of a so-called "report" put out by the far left, George Soros-funded Center for American Progress, entitled "Fear, Inc.: The Roots of the Islamophobia Network in America."

Towards the end of the hour-long call, Ali recommended eleven action items to combat what he calls "Islamophobia" in America.

We disagree with Ali's characterization that ACT! for America is an "anti-Muslim group," given our support for Muslim leaders and organizations that include people like Dr. Tawfik Hamid, Manda Ervin, and Dr. Zuhdi Jasser.

But we appreciate his acknowledgment of our success!

Ali's remarks echo what is contained in the "Fear, Inc." document, which devotes five pages to ACT! for America. Most of the five pages contain the typical propaganda and name-calling that groups such as CAIR and its enablers like the Center for American Progress engage in.

A few hours from now Barack Obama will accept his nomination to run for re-election before a wildly cheering crowd of hard core true believers. As everything else the Democrats do it will be a fraud. The people who coined the phrase "astroturfing", because the millions of TEA partiers who poured into Washington a few years ago scared them to the bone will be busing people in to make the place look full. Since we don't know where it will be "the place" is the best description of where he will speak.  If as is likely they can't fill the football stadium they will move Obama's speech indoors to a place with fewer seats to fill.

On Tuesday morning, the first day of the convention, ABC radio aired an interview of a DELEGATE to the DNC who said she was unsure of what she would do in November!

Four years ago, when Barack Obama stood in front of fake Greek columns before a massive outdoor crowd in Denver to accept his party's nomination for the office of president, millions of Americans expected him to deliver hope, change, and a brilliant presidency that would solve the nation's ills. Tonight, when he speaks to a much smaller indoor gathering in Charlotte, most of these people would settle for a competent presidency.

Chronicles of Ineptitude, DNC Supplemental

This really is one of those Shatneresque "Captain's log-supplemental" moments. I had no idea when I was writing up my Chronicles of Ineptitude notice yesterday on the Fluke fluke that the DNC was exceeding even my lowest expectations in real time, with their ham-handed handling of the platform references to Jerusalem and God. It was obvious from the voice vote that there was nowhere near a two-thirds majority in favor of the motion, but convention chair Antonio Villaraigosa showed he has no grasp of Politics 101: when there's a close motion, the chair is supposed to rule firmly as the party bosses want and quickly move on. Instead he ignored Healey's First Law of Holes: if you're in one, stop digging. He had to be bailed out by a parliamentarian, who no doubt also whispered in his ear to ignore or rule out of order any motion for a roll-call vote, which was likely permissible under party rules (forcing a roll call that is). They'd have surely lost a roll-call vote on the platform language. And then lost New York, Connecticut, and Florida in November.

God Ekes Out A "Win" At Democrat Convention

As we told you yesterday, the Democrats' platform is radical and hostile to Middle American values. The major media and Democrat politicians initially laughed at us for pointing out that God had been dumped from their platform. But by the end of the day, their hair was on fire as it became apparent that their moderate camouflage had been stripped away.

There is no way that FDR, with his D-Day prayer, or Harry Truman, who recognized the modern state of Israel, or John F. Kennedy, with his tax cuts and willingness to stare down our enemies, would have any place in today's Democrat Party.

Once it was clear the Democrats were on the verge of a major debacle, the left-wing media jumped into damage control mode. They rushed to assure us that Barack Obama had personally intervened to restore God and Jerusalem in the platform.

Really? Then why didn't he intervene before last night? The Democrat platform was drafted last month in Detroit!

So now we're supposed to believe that Obama really wanted Jerusalem recognized in his party's platform as the capital of Israel? Then why can't his State Department or his own White House press secretary answer the very simple question, "What is the capital of Israel?"

By the way, the Democrats still fail to condemn Hamas, and they still fail to reject the Palestinian demand to swamp Israel demographically with millions of so-called refugees.

We're also supposed to believe that Obama wants God back in his party's platform. But this is the same man who told Pastor Rick Warren that it was above his pay grade when Warren asked him at what point do babies deserve human rights. This is the same man who repeatedly voted to deny medical treatment to babies who survived abortions. This is the same man who twisted Scripture to justify men "marrying" other men.

But I don't doubt that Obama did personally intervene yesterday. He had a four-alarm fire on his hands. The phones were likely ringing off their proverbial hooks from furious Jewish voters and black pastors who were already on edge before the convention began. No doubt they were livid as they learned that Jerusalem and God had been ripped out of the platform.

So what did the Democrats do? What they do best -- they rigged a vote!

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, serving as the convention chairman, called for a two-thirds voice vote to amend the platform and reinsert the deleted language on Jerusalem and God. But it was clear God didn't have the votes. So Villaraigosa called for a second vote. Again, it was clear God didn't have the votes. So Villaraigosa called for a third vote. God still didn't have the votes, but this time the chairman overruled the delegates, many of whom booed and hissed.

Let's be clear about this: They weren't objecting to language that Republicans use all the time and which is found in our Declaration of Independence -- that our liberties come from God. No, they were booing a simple reference to our "God-given talents." And, by the way, the same convention that booed God last night cheered Bill Clinton, and tonight they will cheer Barney Frank!

My friends, I suspect God would have preferred to lose the vote. Why would He want to be in a platform of a party so committed to the destruction of His innocent, little unborn children?


The Bottom Line: The Democrats Are The Extremists!

Please don't miss the main point: At least half of the delegates pledged to Barack Obama do not believe Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. At least half of the delegates pledged to Barack Obama don't want to acknowledge God in their party's platform.

What more should anyone need to know to realize that today's Democrat Party is a radical secularist party that bears little resemblance to the party that existed in recent years?

Just consider the marriage issue. Their keynote speaker last night, Bill Clinton, signed the Defense of Marriage Act after it had passed the House of Representatives and the Senate by landslide, bi-partisan margins of 342-to-67 and 85-to-14. Just 16 years later, this president is refusing to enforce that law, wants it repealed and has embraced the radical notion of men "marrying" other men.

And it's not just the delegates gathered in Charlotte. These folks represent many radicals who are burrowed into virtually every federal agency, who run every major union and who spin the news every night on most networks. They don't want God in the public square. They want abortion-on-demand and same-sex "marriage." But the American people do not!

The Republican Party, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan should make this assault on faith and values a constant theme, along with unemployment and deregulation.

In every swing state that is up for grabs -- Colorado, Florida, Iowa, North Carolina, Ohio, Wisconsin, Virginia -- the people have voted to defend traditional marriage. Overwhelming majorities would be shocked that God lost three votes at the Democratic National Convention -- IF they know about it. And that is as much a failure of the GOP inside-the-Beltway establishment as it is media bias.

Last night, in his nationally televised speech, former President Bill Clinton said the charge that President Obama has gutted welfare reform was "a real doozy."

Clinton, who vetoed welfare reform twice before signing the welfare reform law in 1996, echoed the Obama Administration and media "fact checkers," who have sworn that Obama's Health and Human Services Department (HHS) is actually trying to strengthen the work requirements of the law by doing away with them.

The fact is that the Administration has gutted welfare reform, and Heritage has detailed reports on exactly how-and what the consequences will be. Heritage expert Robert Rector, who helped write the 1996 law, answered Clinton this morning in no uncertain terms:

The Obama Administration will put in mothballs the formal purpose of welfare reform-to reduce the number of people dependent on government benefits. The Administration will abandon the legislative performance goal that encourages states to reduce welfare caseloads. It will weaken the "work participation" standards that require some 30 percent of able-bodied Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) recipients to engage in work activities for 20 to 30 hours per week.

This week, the nonpartisan Government Accountability Office (GAO) also gave notice to the Administration that this type of law change must go through Congress.

After Heritage's Rector and Kiki Bradley broke the story July 12 that HHS was gutting the work requirements by allowing states to obtain waivers, Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT) and Representative Dave Camp (R-MI) asked the GAO to review the Administration's actions. Heritage legal experts Todd Gaziano, Robert Alt, and Andrew Grossman have already detailed why the Administration's actions are illegal-HHS has no authority to grant the type of waivers it is creating.

The GAO told the lawmakers on Tuesday that the law changes should have been submitted to Congress.

Last night, Clinton defended Obama's HHS, saying that it would waive the work requirements for states "only if they had a credible plan to increase employment by 20 percent and they could keep the waivers only if they did increase employment. Now, did-did I make myself clear? The requirement was for more work, not less."

It may sound convincing, but Rector explains why this is a meaningless measure:

In the typical state, 1.5 percent of the TANF caseload leaves welfare and obtains work each month. Thus, any state can be fully exempted from the TANF work requirements if it raises the number of exits to 1.8 percent. This is a miniscule change. What will the other 98.2 percent of the caseload be doing? No one knows for sure. But one thing we do know for certain: They will be exempt from the federal "work participation" requirements established in the welfare reform law.

The 1996 reforms were an outstanding success. Poverty, especially among black Americans, dropped substantially. Employment of the most disadvantaged single mothers increased dramatically. These are not reforms that should be gutted. These are reforms that should be a signature accomplishment of the Clinton presidency. Unfortunately, he is repudiating his own accomplishment to cover for the Obama Administration.
