Ann Romney speech may move to Tuesday

The Mitt Romney campaign is considering moving Ann Romney's convention speech to Tuesday night in order to ensure that the candidate's wife gets full primetime television coverage, sources familiar with the move tell POLITICO.
The debate over the move is ongoing but appears likely, as sources at multiple networks said that it is highly unlikely that the nets would decide to add an hour of primetime coverage on Monday night. Such a move would be expensive, require a great deal of last-minute planning, and could also lead to calls for an extra hour of Democratic convention coverage.
Ann Romney's keynote speech, originally scheduled for Monday, has been in flux since campaign officials learned that the three broadcast networks -- NBC, ABC, and CBS -- would not be airing primetime coverage of the GOP convention's opening night.

If Israel jets show up in Iranian airspace, it will most likely happen while Obama is too busy accusing Mitt Romney of secretly storing all his money in a giant cave in the Rocky Mountains to do more than dispatch a flunky to chew out Netanyahu over the phone. The election is the perfect window for a strike on Iran's nuclear program, because Team Obama will be too tied down on the Romney Front to do much damage to Israel.
Despite the signs being brandished at your local Anarchists for Peace rally, accusing the United States of being a puppet of the Zionist regime, the United States and Israel have different interests. Israel is interested in not getting bombed and the United States is interested in regional stability. And regional stability means keeping the Sunni Arab oil countries happy.
The United States is interested in somehow making Iran's nuclear capabilities go away in the interests of regional stability. Particularly the regional stability of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar. But the last thing that this form of regional stability needs is Israeli planes flying over Saudi Arabia to take out that nuclear capability.
Border security continues to be an issue that's important to the American people. President Obama and his administration claim that border crime is down. They use data provided by local law enforcement to back up their assertions. But as undercover videos obtained exclusively by PJ Media show, one border county in Texas is falsifying crime statistics to make the border look safer than it actually is.
The federal government doles out hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars in grants that are supposed to encourage law enforcement to aggressively fight crime. Instead, these grants seem to create an incentive for local law enforcement to fudge their crime statistics, all of which helps the Obama administration argue that the border is now safer than it was just a few years ago.
Case in point: Hidalgo County, Texas. In Part One of our exclusive series, exclusive hidden-camera video from inside the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office shows a crime analyst admitting that the office has been faking its crime statistics for years.
In Part Two, a brave, whistle-blowing Hidalgo County sheriff's deputy confirmed that downgrading the county's crime stats is part of a systematic effort to create a false impression that the community is safe. The deputy also says this effort starts at the top, with Sheriff Lupe Trevino.
The series concludes with a look at an unsolved crime that crossed the border, and how the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office treated it. Even though the crime played out like a classic drug cartel kidnapping and murder, the sheriff's office downgraded it to a "welfare concern."
We're heading into day 5 of the Presidential Candidate Petition Fraud Detection Project.
At least 30 members and friends of the Independence Hall Tea Party have volunteered and the effort has produced results.
As of Wednesday, all the PA Constitutional Party candidates, including Presidential Candidate Virgil Goode, have been knocked off the PA ballot due to their refusal to contest the challenge mounted by the Republican Party. Obviously, an overwhelming number of the Constitutional Party petitions were invalid and could not be defended.
The challenge to the PA Libertarian Party candidates will continue thru next Thursday,
August 30.
Remember, a lot of the signatures for both third party candidates were gathered by Democrats eager to siphon thousands of PA votes away from Mitt Romney in the November election.
The election in the Keystone State is expected to be extremely close and we mustn't allow President Obama to win PA 20 Electoral votes in this fashion.

Delaware's Sher Valenzuela Receives First Ever Lt. Governor Endorsement from Influential Independence Hall Tea Party PAC;

Blackwood, NJ (August 22, 2012) -- The Independence Hall Tea Party PAC, the only federally registered Tea Party PAC in the tri-state (DE, NJ, PA) region, has announced that its Board of Delegates has voted to unanimously endorse Sher Valenzuela for Lt. Governor of Delaware.
It's the first time the PAC has endorsed in a Lt. Governor race.

New Campaign launched by former CIA, Special Operations Members to combat leaks and politicization of National Security Info
Kicks Off Nationwide With Release Of Documentary Short Film Titled "Dishonorable Disclosures"
Former CIA and Special Operations members are announcing the creation of OPSEC, a new nationwide public campaign to combat the spike in leaks and politicization of Intelligence and Special Operations missions that threaten their effectiveness and the safety of Americans who conduct them. OPSEC - short for Operational Security, meaning to eliminate or reduce the exploitation of critical information - will begin with the release of "Dishonorable Disclosures," a new documentary short film highlighting the problem from the perspective of those who have served in these critical positions. The film will also serve as the basis for a TV and online advertising effort.
"Intelligence and Special Operations members are angry and frustrated at how our work has been used for political advantage by officials across government, including President Obama himself who bears special responsibility as Commander in Chief," said Scott Taylor, chairman of OPSEC and a former Navy SEAL. "We want the American people to understand the cost of these leaks and politicization both on those who serve and on our national security and to hold those in positions of leadership accountable if it doesn't stop."
OPSEC is made up of individuals who served their country in the CIA, and Special Operations Forces (SOF) consisting of Navy SEALs, Army Special Forces, Marine Corps and Air Force Special Operations. It is organized as a 501(c)(4) nonpartisan public education campaign and is independent of any political party or campaign organization.
The campaign will begin with the release of "Dishonorable Disclosures," a documentary short film that views the impact of the increasing number of leaks on Intelligence and Special Operations missions, tradecraft, tactics and capabilities from the perspective of those who have relied on these tools to carryout similar missions and protect themselves and those they served alongside. The film will be shown at events in key states across the country over the next several months, including Virginia, Florida, Ohio, Colorado, North Carolina and Nevada. "Countless leaks, interviews and decisions by the Obama Administration and other government officials have undermined the success of our Intelligence and Special Operations forces and put future missions and personnel at risk," said Fred Rustmann, an OPSEC member and 24-year veteran of the Central Intelligence Agency. "OPSEC will carry a strong message across the country that it's time for President Obama and other administration officials to stop jeopardizing national security operations for political gain."

SION to Hold International Congress and Media Workshop to Address Islamic Supremacist War Against Free Speech

NEW YORK: The first session of the International Freedom Defense Congress, the operating body of the human rights organization Stop Islamization of Nations (SION), will be held in New York on September 11, 2012. The principal focus of the Congress will be a media workshop pertaining to Islamic supremacist attempts to restrict the freedom of speech in the free world, and the smear campaigns against freedom fighters in newspapers and media institutions in the West.
"The objective of this first-of-its-kind workshop is to develop media-related mechanisms to address the smear campaigns," SION said in a statement. It will also address the media's double standard regarding Islam and other religions, as epitomized in March 2012 by the New York Times' running of an anti-Catholic smear ad and rejection of a SION ad telling the truth about Islamic jihad.
It said the workshop will discuss at length the reasons behind and the results of the Western media's offensive campaigns against freedom of speech and the truth about Islam, jihad, Islamic supremacism and Muslims, which it added still occur from time to time.

Freedom fighters from all over the globe, journalists, intellectuals and academicians will be among the participants in the workshop, which will consist of brainstorming sessions to develop mechanisms for cooperation with external partners, and to develop an action plan to address the phenomenon of the Islamic war against free speech.
The organization noted that the workshop is of particular importance as it is the first ever to address the implications of Resolution 16/18 of the United Nations Human Rights Council, the stated goal of which is to "combat intolerance, negative stereotyping and stigmatisation of, discrimination, incitement to violence, and violence against persons based on religion or belief," but which is actually designed to restrict truthful speech about Islamic supremacism and jihad, so as to render the West mute and defenseless before the advancing threat of jihad and Sharia.
Resolution 16/18, which was adopted by the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva in March 2011, was backed by U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at the most recent Istanbul Process Conference in Washington in December.
This is widely viewed as a significant step toward furthering OIC efforts to destroy the freedom of speech and impose Sharia blasphemy laws on the free world.

Peco has stopped installing Smart Meters which are part of UN Agenda 21 (Sustainable Development). If you have had a Smart Meter installed on your home, you should immediately call Peco and tell them to remove it. These fires have been reported in other states after the meters were installed.
For those that have already had the Smart Meter installed on their home, Peco will return, test the meter, and place a warning sign on the meter with a device that should a fire start, the meter will shut off. New reports are that Peco has switched overnight to another provider for these meters, assuring the public that these will be safe. Are we to trust this company, the same one that put fire hazards on 186,000 homes in PA?
Now is the time to act! The ball is in our court. I will be trying to go up to Harrisburg in September to push to get legislation out of committee. Maybe we are being given time to stop part of UN agenda 21.

I have some very exciting news! Citizens United Productions has just announced an all rights distribution deal for our newest film Occupy Unmasked with Magnet Releasing, the genre arm of Magnolia Pictures, owned by Mark Cuban and Todd Wagner. Daniel Greenfield's new Freedom Center pamphlet,The Great Betrayal: Obama's Wars and the War in Iraq, is an effort to understand the politics of the "war on terror" which has now reached a final punctuation point with the U.S. decision to speed its withdrawal from the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan (where success was once deemed so crucial to national security), and to practice an incoherent form of regime change in Libya while ignoring more serious threats in Syria and Iran.
The war on terror began, Greenfield shows, as an admirable bipartisan commitment soon after the tragedy of 9/11-an effort to transcend party lines not only to punish those who attacked our country but also to interrupt planning for further attacks and try to stop the international spread of the Islamic jihad behind the attacks. But the Democratic Party, with the honorable exception of a few individuals like Richard Gephardt and Joe Lieberman, turned its back on a war soon after authorizing it, and did so at a time when American troops were facing hostile enemy fire.
Although Senate Democrats on the intelligence oversight committee had been granted access to every piece of data available to the White House, they now accused President Bush of tricking them to secure their approval. In fact, their own about-face was entirely dictated by political considerations when a Sixties antiwar activist, Howard Dean, surged ahead in the Democratic primary polls and it appeared for a moment that Americans were on the side of retreat and capitulation.
Although regime change in Iraq had been official U.S. policy since Bill Clinton signed the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998, Democratic senators such as John Kerry who only months earlier had supported the war effort now launched demoralizing attacks on the American commander-in-chief and his troops in the field, stigmatizing it as "the wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time." If the truth was the first casualty of their war against the Bush administration, the second casualty was the principle of bi-partisanship that had guided foreign policy debates throughout the Cold War, the principle that "politics stops at the water's edge." Now partisan politics trumped security.
The unrestrained attacks on the Iraq War as illegal and unjustified went largely unanswered by Republicans who failed to call the Democratic saboteurs of the nation's war effort to account or to decry the risk their cynical attacks posed to American servicemen and women on the battlefield. As Greenfield demonstrates, the Democrats' partisanship had consequences not only in Iraq but elsewhere in the region: the paralysis that resulted from their "anti-war" campaign led straight to the destruction of Lebanon and the installation of a terrorist army, Hezbollah, there as a regime within a regime. And it emboldened an overtly Islamofascist regime in Iran not only to supply the IEDs responsible for most of our troop fatalities in Iraq but also to proceed with a nuclear program aimed directly at Israel and the West.
The Great Betrayal shows that Barack Obama's abandonment of Iraq is a betrayal of all the Americans and Iraqis who gave their lives to establish freedom in that country. And the result of his policies in Afghanistan has been as disastrous. While the President presented his rationale for pursuing war there as the pursuit of al-Qaeda, after abandoning his "surge" (which resulted in two thirds of all America's Afghan casualties there and the resurgence of the Taliban allies of al-Qaeda), he blithely prepared for withdrawal as if national objectives had been met.

William Long at an Army-Navy recruiting center in Little Rock, Arkansas in June 2009. Melvin Bledsoe testified at the House Homeland Security Committee hearing earlier this month.
The upcoming documentary discusses how Bledsoe was radicalized by the Muslim Student Association in Tennessee and sent to terrorist training in Yemen with the written recommendation of the imam of a Nashville mosque. It also discusses how the agents of radicalization in the Nashville Muslim community have been aided by collaborators in the establishment media, politics and the so-called "interfaith" community.
Yesterday, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) reported that without a doubt, America will have a fresh recession next year unless Congress and the President prevent it.
We are facing the largest tax increase in history-Taxmageddon, scheduled to take effect January 1-and what experts are calling a "fiscal cliff" of sharp and unforgiving budget changes that will send the country spiraling downward. Congress and the President have the power to prevent this, and when the August congressional recess is over, that is exactly what they should do.
In its new report, the CBO said that if Congress does not act, it's not economic growth we should be worried about, because the economy will actually shrink next year. It will shrink by 0.5 percent, and the unemployment rate will spike to 9.1 percent. As Heritage's J.D. Foster explains:
Forget percentages-what does this mean in actual jobs lost if President Obama and Congress fail to act? It means roughly 1.6 million more Americans will be out of work-on top of the 12.8 million who already want to work but can't find jobs.
Preventing Taxmageddon and the fiscal cliff are necessary just to keep the economy from taking a nosedive. The status quo isn't attractive, but Congress certainly shouldn't make things worse. If Congress moves to prevent the nosedive, the CBO projects that the economy will grow only slightly next year, at an anemic 1.7 percent, and the unemployment rate will remain stuck around 8 percent.
Why? The CBO report makes it clear: Our spending problem continues, and it's driven mainly by the three major entitlements: Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. Spending on these programs will outpace tax revenue over the next decade.
Heritage's Patrick Louis Knudsen points out several other sobering projections from the CBO report:
For the fourth year in a row, the federal government in 2012 will run a budget deficit exceeding $1 trillion.
The deficit is already $49 billion higher than CBO's January estimate.
Debt held by the public this year will reach $11.3 trillion by October, roughly three-fourths of the entire economy.
In the middle of this fiscal disaster, the government has no budget. That's right-Congress has abdicated its responsibility for producing a budget for the country. The Senate failed to produce a budget for the third year in a row. Congressional leaders keep passing temporary stopgap bills to continue funding government operations, but this is unacceptable. They have to take this seriously. Perhaps the CBO's dire warnings will give them the sense of urgency they are missing.
Once Congress gets back to the business of budgeting, it must address the runaway entitlement spending that is driving the never-ending budget crisis.
We often say "It is time for Congress to act." In the case of Taxmageddon and the fiscal cliff, the CBO has added a red exclamation point. The consequences are clear: About 1.6 million American jobs hang in the balance. A recession is imminent. And if they allow it, it will be squarely on the shoulders of this Congress and this President.

Last week I had the opportunity to get a sneak-peek at the RNC's new Facebook application. Designed, in the words of one RNC staffer to "take our message where the people are," the Social Victory Center appwill, among other things, hook users up with campaign news targeted based on their location and preferences (which Facebook already knows, of course), let users join volunteer efforts, distribute voter registration forms, and provide an online phone bank, all without leaving the Facebook website. It will also, if users wish, put those activities on the user's Facebook wall, letting their friends see what they're up to and, hopefully, encouraging them to join in.
It's an attempt to leverage Facebook's popularity in a new way and, at the moment, the Democrats have nothing like it. The Social Victory Center was unveiled to the public yesterday, so if you're on Facebook, check it out. As the general election ramps up, check back for volunteer activities as they're added. Also, like I did in 2008, I'll be pushing online phone banking in the final weeks of the election, only this time the RNC will have done the heavy-lifting that the McCain team wasn't too keen on.
If you haven't heard yet, Lance Armstrong has given up on fighting the US Anti-Doping Agency. He's throwing in the towel.
I don't really have a dog in the fight. I'm never cared much for competitive cycling. But it really does seem horrendous and un-American to me that a quasi-government agency, mostly funded by the government, gets to pretend it is not a part of the government and throw out due process to harass an athlete after he's largely left the sport and all prior investigations turned up in his favor. They've chosen even to ignore their own guidelines on statutes of limitations.
The USADA has gone back decades to reinvestigate doping allegations against Armstrong who is probably the most tested athlete in history. He's surrendered blood and urine and everything else they've asked for over and over at frequently unannounced visits and somehow, if you believe the USADA, beaten them every time.
The media keeps showing its rear end. Let me just make that clear. If you are a competent reporter, I'm not sure how you cannot be embarrassed by the majority of those in your profession right now covering politics.
From Mark Halperin, to Jake Tapper, to Chuck Todd, more journalists are actually now admitting just how pliable the media is when it comes to Barack Obama's spin. All week long, as the economy deteriorates, most every anchor at most every news outlet, most every editorialist in most every paper, and most every "centrist" and liberal pundit has been pointing out the GOP's extremist abortion position.
Few, if any, have pointed out that Barack Obama's abortion on demand position is extreme. Few, if any, have pointed out how most Americans favor restrictions on abortion. Few, if any, have pointed out that Mitt Romney's position is actually more mainstream than Barack Obama's. Few, if any, have wanted to go beyond Politifact's ham-handed cover for Obama on infanticide and get into what Barack Obama actually said in 2002. Hear him come out for infanticide yourself right here. Remember, the media is hiding behind the left-leaning Politifact (and yes, it does lean left) to avoid having to deal with this.
They cannot help themselves. But why are they doing it?
They are doing it for the exact same reason Joe Biden is claiming the GOP will put black people back in chains and why Barack Obama would rather talk about uteri than jobs - they all know Barack Obama is losing this thing.
Yesterday, Fox News posted their first likely voter poll of the campaign, which shows Mitt Romney leading Barack Obama 45%-44%. Many of us were wondering how the polling would look once the pollsters switch to a likely voter screen - a model which is almost always more favorable to Republicans than a poll of registered voters. This poll of 1,007 likely voters is a far cry from the last Fox News poll of 930 registered voters, which showed Obama with a 9 point lead. Obviously, that poll was taken during the nadir of Romney's campaign and before he got a boost from picking Paul Ryan as his running mate, but clearly the LV model makes a difference. In this case, it gave Romney a 3-point bump (Obama is up 2 when including RVs).
Finally, someone has seized upon what I think is THE winning narrative in this election cycle.
It used to be that if you worked hard enough you could be successful in America. But in Barack Obama's America, you have to work hard and give to Barack Obama. It's all about the team you are on, not the work you do.
The website Crony Chronicles has put up a video that I think needs to be broken up into 30 second ads and run all over the country.
Gawker, the site that has spent lots of time also ridiculing Sarah Palin and Trig Palin and pretty much writing every other offensive thing you can think of, is now attacking Mitt Romney for having assets based in the Cayman Islands.
The Romney camp is gleefully pointing out that Gawker, you may not know, is based in the Cayman Islands.
According to Chris Rovzar at New York Magazine, Gawker is owned by Gawker Media Group, Inc, a Cayman Islands Entity.

Lilly Ledbetter is the namesake of the first bill signed by President Obama back in 2009, The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Restoration Act. The purpose of this act was supposedly to make it easier for women in the workforce to file discrimination lawsuits and demand equal pay for equal work.
So pleased with Obama is Mrs. Ledbetter, that she decided to rally on his behalf recently in Colorado, along with DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Apparently Ledbetter neglected to mention that the same White House she's rallying on behalf of has its own issues with pay equality. Luckily, Caleb Bonham of Revealing Politics was there to let them know.
Through Obama's truculent special interest campaign of division and derision, he is rapidly exhausting his check list of demographic groups. He's already targeted women, Hispanics, gays, blue collar workers, and all sorts of minorities. Now he is going after the 'commuter vote' in northern Virginia.
So, the FCC put out another report (the "706 report") that just pushes an agenda rather than reporting the true facts about high speed Internet in America. Commissioners McDowell and Pai tell it like it is. We've also got Broadband for America telling the story. I'm not even worried about the details: the FCC is saying what they feel they must say to justify expanding government.

Today, a group of 10 ICE agents and officers, led by ICE Council president Chris Crane, filed suit against DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano and ICE Director John Morton seeking an injunction against the Napolitano Directive of June 15, 2012. FOX News broke the story shortly after 12 p.m. on Thursday. The lawsuit has been filed in the District Court for the Northern District of Texas, which is in the 5th Circuit. Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach is representing the agents and officers, and NumbersUSA is financing the effort.

By promoting and showcasing Rabbi Gottlieb as one of Pres. Obama's supporters, the Obama campaign lends legitimacy and credibility to a rabbi whose extreme views are well beyond the mainstream of the Jewish community and the mainstream of America.
According to RJC Executive Director Matt Brooks, there can be only two explanations for her inclusion in the list: 1) the Obama campaign failed to properly vet the rabbis on their official list, or 2) they did properly vet the rabbis and chose to ignore Rabbi Gottlieb's radical views.
Either way, this speaks volumes about the Obama campaign's judgment and the RJC calls on the Obama campaign to immediately remove her from any formal or official involvement in the campaign.
The fact that the campaign announced Rabbi Gottlieb's participation in "Rabbis for Obama" at around the same time that it was announced that former President Jimmy Carter -- who has met with Hamas and has been a virulent critic of Israel -- will speak at the Democratic Convention, highlights not only the insensitivity of the Obama campaign to the concerns of the Jewish community, but also underscores why Pres. Obama has seen a significant erosion of support among Jewish voters.
August 23, 2012 Radical Islam at the Democratic National Convention
According to the Red State article below, the Democratic National Convention is going to host an official event led by two radical Muslim leaders (see highlights below).
One is Siraj Wahhaj, an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center. He vigorously defended and praised the "blind sheikh," who was convicted for his role in that terrorist attack. Wahhaj has also stated publicly that it is the duty of Muslims to replace the Constitution with the Qur'an!
Every American concerned about terrorism and our constitutional system should be outraged that one of our two major political parties would showcase such a man.
Just imagine the howls of criticism that would come from the Democratic Party and the "establishment media" if the Republican National Convention hosted an event led by a man who was an unindicted co-conspirator in the Anders Breivik murder spree in Norway.
This politically correct double standard has to end.
Starting at the end of this month the Democratic National Convention will open with a focus on Islam. 20,000 Muslims are expected to attend according to the Bureau of Indigenous Muslim Affairs (BIMA), the national Muslim American non-profit coordinating the two days of events they claim are non-political. "Jumah at the DNC" begins August 29 and will start with a Friday afternoon jummah prayer followed by other unnamed programs and events, leading up to the Islamic Regal Banquet. The following day will be an all day Islamic Cultural and Fun Fest which will include discussions on the topics of Islamaphobia, Anti-Shariah, Middle Eastern Crisis, Patriot Act, National Defense Authorization Act and more. The purpose, according to BIMA, is to attract national and international attention to the plight of American Muslims and to hold political parties accountable for issues that affect them. However, not all Muslims feel that BIMA represents them and M. Zuhdi Jasser M.D., Founder and President of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, has expressed serious concerns:
It is troubling that the Democratic National Convention has decided to promote and lend its name and national political platform to the organizers of the "Jummah at the DNC". The leaders of this event - Jibril Hough and Imam Siraj Wahhaj as advertised are no moderates. They are radicals. These individuals embrace Islamist supremacy and have demonstrated support for radical ideologies.
A quick Google search by the DNC would have shown them that Hough and Wahhaj are leaders in the separatist American Islamist movement. While they may be able to get a few thousand Muslims to attend the event, they are NOT going to be mainstream Muslims. Most will likely come from Hough and Wahhaj's radical networks that have long been entrenched in the Charlotte area. Make no mistake they are part of the Islamist movement.
This is not about their right of assembly; this group under a different name pulled the same stunt at the US capitol in 2009 claiming 20k and getting 2-3k. THIS IS ABOUT the DNC calling this an "official function" listing these radicals as typical of the DNC community and more importantly about this organization speaking out AS representing supposedly typical American Muslims (or "Mainstream").
If that is who the DNC is consorting with then all Americans, Democrats should be concerned. There are many patriotic Muslims who are part of both parties, and when radical ideologues like this do a demonstration of "solidarity" in the name of our faith and choose an imam like Siraj Wahhaj who I saw with my own eyes in 1995 seditiously say it his duty and our duty as Muslims to replace the US Constitution with the Quran- then we need to speak up!
Their jummah (group) prayer is supposedly against the Patriot Act, the NYPD, and Islamophobia and is actually NOT about our democracy but about empowering their Islamist and MB (Muslim Brotherhood) sympathetic groups into the very fabric of the political system so that Americans become anesthetized. We need American Muslims to speak up and marginalize these radicals. The DNC needs to understand and reject them because of their radical history and ideas.
They use our American Muslim identity to speak as "one community" as a political unit or as a "bloc vote" - a political Islamist party when in fact most us Muslims don't want that political unity and seek reform against their ideology that seeks to hijack our community. They do not represent us. (emphasis mine)
In fact, Zuhdi Jasser is correct, Jibril Hough and Imam Siraj Wahhaj have said and done radical things in their past. Which means either the Democrats failed to utilize due diligence or they simply didn't care. In addition to the Muslims being misrepresented, Democrats and Charlotteans also have a right to know how the DNC has failed them before they even arrive in Charlotte.
Jibril Hough may be a name many in Charlotte are familiar with already. He is the leader of a Sunni mosque, The Islamic Center of Charlotte, who is been known for being outspoken against Representative Sue Myrick - a North Carolina Republican member of the House Intelligence Committee. Beyond calling her plan to fight against jihadist activity in America "a fear campaign" and the "new McCarthyism (or Myrickism)", he confronted her in a Muslim Town Hall he organized in 2010. According to Jasser, the language used by Hough as his Town Hall was strikingly similar to that of the Muslim Brotherhood when he stated, "As citizens of a non-Muslim country and as American Muslims, we have a contract with America and not a contract on America. This means that we must abide by the laws of this state and we cannot be at war with this state." As Jasser points out, "note the deep seeded separatism in this 'we' mindset. Basically he is saying that this system of laws is not his or the Muslims he represents but they will follow it-for now." Further, Hough commented on his support of laws that would mandate "Muslim" behaviors for American-Muslims, but wouldn't affect nonMuslims; again Jasser notes Hough's separatist tone that mimics political Islam and the Muslim Brotherhood mindset, which supports "separate legal paths for each faith" instead of "one law based in reason". Jibril has also stated he is the North Carolina head of the Islamic Political Party of America(IPPA), based in Charlotte, who in a 2002 press release claimed the Jews were behind 9/11. As if that weren't enough, IPPA is close to another organization known as Jamaat Al Muslimeen (JAM), The Islamic Peoples Movement, who (in addition to being Holocaust deniers) had this advice for President Obama:
He should ensure that those Muslims he talks to do represent authentic Islam. All Islamic movements oppose America's policies. If Obama talks to Muslims who support America's policies, it will be an exercise in futility.
In response to Hough accusing Rep. Myrick of being anti-Muslim, he was interviewed on the formerly conservative radio station WBT in Charlotte. Radio host Keith Larson questioned him as to why his mosque was owned by The North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), an organization blacklisted by the U.S. Justice Department as an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terror finance case in U.S. history. According to the government, NAIT is also a front for HAMAS and the Muslim Brotherhood in America. Hough, when presented by Larson with the documents, claimed he didn't realize his mosque was owned by NAIT and was also unaware that they had been blacklisted. Hough went on in the interview to defend HAMAS and accuse the U.S. and Israel of the only "real" terrorism.
Imam Siraj Wahhaj is imam of a mosque in Brooklyn, New York, the leader of The Muslim Alliance in North America, a member of CAIR, and an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. As a character witness for Omar Abdel Rahman (the Blind Sheik) who was convicted of plotting to blow up the World Trade Center and other New York City landmarks, Wahhaj described him as a "respected scholar," and "bold, as a strong preacher of Islam." Wahhaj is also a Board of Trustee member of the North American Imams Federation (NAIF)(who's website currently features an anti-Jewish, anti-black rant), a Muslim Brotherhood front organization, who (coincidentally) held a conference in Charlotte last year on Islamophobia. Like Hough, Wahhaj is also connected to NAIT by way of his membership in the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), which was also found by the government to be a front for HAMAS and the Muslim Brotherhood. While Hough has been careful to play politics in Charlotte, Wahhaj has not hidden his hatred for America. He is quoted as calling America, "a garbage can... filthy, filthy and sick." As an imam, he has stated, "Where ever you came from, you came to America. And you came for one reason - for one reason only- to establish Allah's deen (a complete way of life)." He believes that the only reason to get involved in politics is to use it as a weapon in the cause of Islam. By his own admission, the question of why Wahhaj would be interested in hosting events at the DNC is obvious.
How BIMA gained access to the DNC is more of a mystery. Muhammad Heshaam Jaaber, the Executive Director, Jibril Hough, spokesman, and Captain James Yusuf Yee, BIMA National Representative for the DNC are the only publicly identified members and each one appears to be connected to U.S. Representative Keith Ellison; the first Muslim ever to be elected to Congress and a former supporter of Louis Farrakhan. Ellison, who attended President Obama's Iftar Dinner earlier this month, made the news last month when Representative Michelle Bachmann called for him (among others) to be investigated for ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Whether or not he has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, Ellison is not far from them having associates within BIMA. Jasser points out that Hough sought advice from Ellison before proceeding with his Town Hall with Rep. Myrick. Captain Yee (who will be speaking at the event) appears in BIMA's promotional video for Jumah at the DNC quoting Ellison as saying, "If you're not at the table, then you're on the menu." Yee is described by BIMA as "a chaplain in the U.S. Military" and an "eye witness to to the unjust treatment of military detainees and prisoners of Guantanamo Bay" who was allegedly detained "when he took steps to prevent the injustice." However, BIMA fails to mention that Yee was charged by the military with sedition, aiding the enemy, spying, espionage and failure to obey a general order; charges ultimately dropped due to national security concerns about releasing evidence in the case. Also speaking will be Hassen Abdellah, who BIMA has no problem admitting was "a lead defense attorney for the 1993 First World Trade bombing suspects" Ellison has also appeared alongside Wahhaj on many speaking engagements for organizations such as ISNA and NAIF, despite both organizations being fronts for the Muslim Brotherhood. If Ellison is the link between BIMA and the DNC, then can it be said that, not only does he not mind the questionable associations of those within the organization, but also the other speakers they will be bringing in?
BIMA has stated they have smaller events planned for the Republican National Convention, however when reached out to, GOP convention staff said they have no knowledge of any events planned in or around Tampa at the time. With the Democratic National Convention only a couple weeks away, it will be interesting to see if the media chooses to cover what one would assume to be a controversial start to renominate President Barack Obama.
I have finally routed out a PDF copy (see the bottom of this email!) of the Islamic Sharia Law book, "Reliance of the Traveller" that shows both the Arabic AND English translation! This book is "Certified" by the Muslim Clerics at Al-Azhar University in Cairo where Obama spoke on June 4, 2009! It has also been Certified by other Muslim Clerics in Saudi Arabia, Syria, Jordan, , Pakistan, AND the
Fiqh Council of North America! It is the go-to document around the Islamic world for SHARIA LAW and jurisprudence!

Romney's plan, laid out in a white paper and conference call with reporters last night, calls for streamlining the permit process for energy development on federal lands and offshore, for building infrastructure like the Keystone Pipeline, and supporting basic research on next-generation fuels like wind and solar, while abandoning subsidies and loan guarantees that, Romney argues, have tilted the marketplace in favor of those energy sources.
... Romney also argued that becoming less dependent on unstable or hostile regimes for energy increases America's national security. "This is not just a matter of economy and jobs and rising incomes and the growing economy and more tax revenues. It's also more security. It means we don't have to rely on people who in some cases don't like us very much," Romney said.

The Democratic National Convention will open with a focus on Islam. 20,000 Muslims are expected to attend according to the Bureau of Indigenous Muslim Affairs (BIMA), the national Muslim American non-profit coordinating the two days of events they claim are non-political.

"The accomplished young lady had the nerve to give glory to God for her win," Jackson says. "This apparently offended liberals."

The New Mexico Supreme Court recently announced that it will consider the case of a Christian photographer who objected for religious reasons to photographing a same-sex commitment ceremony.
The photographer, Elaine Huguenin, says she refused to photograph the ceremony because the message it communicated was in conflict with her religious beliefs.
The case is just one illustration of how individuals and institutions with traditional beliefs about marriage, family, and sexuality face significant threats to their religious and moral conscience.

Why Obamacare Is Wrong for America: The Top Ten List
Obamacare's scope is breathtaking. One new federal requirement leads to another, and another, and another. And the whole thing is paid for with an avalanche of new taxes and deep reductions in what Medicare will pay for services.
Explaining in detail everything in the law would take thousands of pages, but here is a list of the top ten things Obamacare will do.
Most Americans will be required to buy federally approved health insurance starting in 2014, and the government will fine us if we don't comply.
Companies will have to provide or pay for health insurance for their employees or pay a penalty.
The federal government will tell us what health benefits must be covered in these policies, as well as what share of our income we will have to spend on health insurance.
New federal entitlement programs will be created to provide taxpayer-subsidized benefits and insurance to tens of millions more people.
States will be required to set up new agencies and bureaucracies to restructure their health insurance markets, certify that health plans meet federal standards, and qualify people to receive taxpayer subsidies for health insurance.
States will be required to expand Medicaid - the program originally intended for the poor - to cover as many as 84 million people by the end of the decade, a mandate many states say could bankrupt them.
Dramatic reductions will be made in payments to Medicare providers and Medicare Advantage plans to partially pay for the expanded health coverage.
More than $500 billion will be raised in new taxes in the next ten years, most of which will be passed on from businesses to consumers.
A massive federal bureaucracy will be created, with an estimated 159 new federal agencies, boards, commissions, offices, panels, and spending and grant programs. But since new offices also can be created by the administration without an act of Congress, the Congressional Research Service says that the exact number is "unknowable."
A "public option" will be created to compete against private health insurance - though administration officials don't call it that. The law requires the U.S. Office of Personnel Management to sponsor at least two health plans to compete nationally against various "local" private health plans in the state-based health exchanges. These plans will inevitably become the de facto "public options" that were supposedly left out of the bill.

Home Depot employee says boycott 'is having an effect'

AFA was recently contacted by a Home Depot employee who says the boycott of Home Depot is being effective. "We have customers who come into our store and confront our store managers over the HD's support of Gay pride. The AFA is having an effect on HD."
She also shared that many employees disagree with the company's pro-gay-marriage stand. In June, a "Gay Pride Month" poster (photo right) was put up in her breakroom. "HD is as committed as ever to the changing of laws in favor of same sex marriage.They had absolutely no empathy for those employees who voiced offense with the display. This was mandated by corporate directive. Therefore the display was torn down at least 2 times."
In June, Home Depot sponsored and participated in three events pushing for the legalization of homosexual marriage. Home Depot refuses to remain and neutral spends corporate money to help promote the gay agenda.
Philadelphia, PA - June 10, 2012 Home Depot sponsored a "Kids' Workshop" in the midst of lewd activities, including nudity and homosexual activities.
St. Petersburg, FL - June 30, 2012 Home Depot set up two booths along the gay pride parade route. Male employees cheered passing floats full of nearly-nude male dancers, encouraging them to toss "love beads" to them.
Baltimore, MD - June 16, 2012 Parade organizers heavily promoted the Home Depot "Kids' Workshop" at "a special Family Zone catering to proud families with kids." Transvestites and cross-dressers canvassed the area in front of children.

Mike Huckabee is doubling down on his support for Todd Akin, the man he helped win the Republican Senate nomination. Here, in part, is what Huckabee had to say on Akin's behalf:
The Party's leaders have for reasons that aren't rational, left [Akin] behind on the political battlefield, wounded and bleeding, a casualty of his self-inflicted, but not intentional wound. In a Party that supposedly stands for life, it was tragic to see the carefully orchestrated and systematic attack on a fellow Republican. Not for a moral failure or corruption or a criminal act, but for a misstatement which he contritely and utterly repudiated. I was shocked by GOP leaders and elected officials who rushed so quickly to end the political life of a candidate over a mistaken comment in an interview. This was a serious mistake, but it was blown out of proportion not by the left, but by Akin's own Republican Party. Is this what the party really thinks of principled pro-life advocates? Do we forgive and forget the verbal gaffes of Republicans who are "conveniently pro-life" for political advantage, but crucify one who truly believes that every life is sacred?
. . . If Todd Akin loses the Senate seat, I will not blame Todd Akin. He made his mistake, but was man enough to admit it and apologize. I'm waiting for the apology from whoever the genius was on the high pedestals of our party who thought it wise to not only shoot our wounded, but run over him with tanks and trucks and then feed his body to the liberal wolves. It wasn't just Todd Akin that was treated with contempt by the thinly veiled attack on Todd Akin. It was all the people who have faithfully knocked doors, made calls, and made sacrificial contributions to elect Republicans because we thought we were welcome in the party. Todd Akin owned his mistake. Who will step up and admit the effort being made to discredit Akin and apologize for the sleazy way it's been handled?
I've always believed and still do, that if you don't honor your friendships, you don't honor yourself. And I consider Todd a friend. So I will join Todd as often as I can, in his fight for our Party's pro-life policies, traditional marriage and our efforts to rein in the massive expansion of government under President Obama. Todd is being systematically scourged for one thing he said. Is that more important than what Claire McCaskill has DONE over her 6 years in the Senate? If you'd like to join the fight, and help defeat a Democrat Senator standing in the way of a conservative majority, I encourage you to join me. The party has decided it won't help. In fact, it has decided that it will try to cut off the supply lines to Akin to pressure him to exit and let the party bosses overturn the voters of Missouri and pick their own candidate. If this can happen to Todd Akin, who is next?
In a way, Huckabee's displeasure with Republican leaders is understandable. They are treating Akin's comment as if it were a crime, not just a very stupid comment from which Akin has retreated and for which he has apologized. And, of course, Akin remains vastly preferable to his opponent. Sen. McCaskill.
But Republican leaders aren't attacking Akin "for reasons that aren't rational," as Huckabee claims. Their push to persuade and/or induce Akin to leave the Senate race is grounded in the very rational desire to avoid defeat in a contest they were likely to win until Akin spouted junk science, and to prevent the damage from spilling over into other races including, potentially, the presidential race. In short, the outrage is grounded in the desire to defeat President Obama and his agenda.
But this isn't Mike Huckabee's priority. He remains what he always has been, an ardent social conservative first, with nothing else truly coming in second.
As we noted repeatedly during the 2008 campaign, Huckabee's credentials as a fiscal conservative were weak, as demonstated during his long tenure Arkansas's governor. And when it came to foreign policy, some of Huckabee's pronouncements were positively Carteresque.
Since 2008, Huckabee has learned the words to the fiscal and national security conservative tunes, as befits a conservative talk show host who may still harbor wider ambitions. But the only real music to Huckabee's ears is that of hard core social conservatism. That, and perhaps a related, badly flawed understanding of what constitutes appropriate forgiveness.
Indeed, Huckabee cares so little about the effort to defeat Barack Obama that he indulges in over-the-top rhetoric, the likely effect of which is to sour some social conservatives on the Romney-Ryan ticket. Recall this statement from the passage quoted above:

Social conservatives are, of course, welcome in the Republican Party; indeed, as much as any other faction, they are at the core of the Republican Party. But socially conservative candidates who behave too stupidly to remain electable aren't welcome as Party standard bearers in important, winnable elections. Akin need not be replaced by a non-socially conservative candidate, nor should he be. He should be a replaced by a candidate intelligent enough to articulate pro-life positions without all hell breaking loose. It isn't that difficult. Paul Ryan has done it, and he's now the Party's nominee for Vice President.
It's nice that Todd Akin "owned up to his mistake." Now he should own up to the consequences of that mistake - always the real test of character in these situations - and abandon his Senate race to the extent the evidence shows he's unlikely to win it.
And Huckabee, if he wants to remain an important and respected figure within the Party, should encourage Akin to take that path.
There once was a time when American children dreamed big. They wanted to build things, create things, achieve things, cure things. Do such ambitions make sense anymore? In today's America, aren't our children learning how much better is is to be a tax spender than a taxpayer? Cynical people have always said that connections are more important than talent and hard work, but until now, it wasn't true. Now, in the Age of Obama? It has become a hard proposition to deny.

If you live in the feverish world of the internet and cable news, you would get the impression that recent days have been consumed entirely by the Todd Akin flap, that rape has become the issue of the day, and that Republican candidates have been drowned out and unable to convey their message. But is that really what has been going on in the swing states where Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have been campaigning?
Perhaps not. The Romney campaign points out that local news coverage has mostly focused on the candidates' themes, not the Democrats' irrelevant hysteria. Here, for example, are the front pages of Virginia and North Carolina newspapers, where Paul Ryan has been appearing. What are the headlines? "Ryan brings GOP message to Roanoke," "Romney's running mate hits Obama on 'build' comment," "Ryan hammers Obama on economy," "Ryan is cheered at Raleigh stop," "Ryan to focus on defense cuts."
Meanwhile, how do the polls look? They have changed very little, if at all. Gallup, which is still polling registered, not likely, voters, has the race tied 46/46; Romney had been ahead 47/45 for the last couple of days. Rasmussen, who is sampling likely voters, likewise has the race tied 45/45. While Rasmussen's polling has always been close, Romney has had at least a slight lead a large majority of the time. Meanwhile, Obama's approval among likely voters remains under water at 48/51. The most significant point in all of these data is that Obama can't get to 50%, either in approval rating or head-to-head against Romney. That has been true for a long time, and it isn't likely to change between now and November.
We see a steady stream of bad polls coming out of the swing states. Quinnipiac has been a repeat offender in this regard. Yesterday Quinnipiac released a set of polls, along with CBS News and the New York Times, covering Florida, Ohio and Wisconsin. These purport to be likely voter surveys, but they obviously aren't-not good ones, anyway-since they considered almost all of the respondents who said they were registered to be likely voters (93% in Florida, 91% in Ohio, and 92% in Wisconsin). We all know that turnout is nowhere near that high. It is hard to imagine why anyone would follow this kind of protocol unless he was deliberately trying to make Barack Obama look viable.
Of course, the answer you get depends on whom you ask. So the first thing you need to find out is how many Republicans and Democrats there were among the respondents. Here is the answer:
So the highest percentage of Republican respondents in any of the three states was 28%. In each state, Obama under-ran the Democrats' partisan advantage in the sample-by three points in Florida, three points in Ohio, and two points in Wisconsin. If you sampled an equal number of Democrats and Republicans, Romney would be leading in all three of these states.
What is the correct balance for likely voters? I haven't seen meaningful numbers for these states-the Quinnipiac poll certainly doesn't represent meaningful numbers, given its 90%-plus turnout model-but nationally, Rasmussen constantly surveys likely voters about their party preferences. The numbers fluctuate slightly as always, but the division among Republicans, Democrats and independents is close to 1/3, 1/3, 1/3. This year there have consistently been a few more Republicans than Democrats, nationwide.
All of which suggests that Mitt Romney continues to be in good shape moving into the conventions. He is even, at worst, in the competent polls, and Obama can't get over 50%. So far, Romney has been badly outspent, but that will change starting with the convention next week. From that point until November, Romney will have more than enough resources to counter whatever smears Obama comes up with, and keep the focus where it should be, on the economy.
I don't really have that much copy to go with this headline-it just popped up in my head and I thought I'd run with it, sort of like my previous threatened title for my next book: The Purpose-Driven Da Vinci Code (and Diet Book). Actually I improvised the Fifty Shades of Gray Liberalism on the Bill Bennett show this morning, though I wasn't quick enough to follow up with the obvious metaphor of liberals exacting their sado-masochism on the American economy. Anyway, this morning was great fun, but now I'm waiting to catch a plane back out to the Left Coast, so I'll be out of blogging range for most of the rest of the day. Too bad-I've got a ton stored up in my head.
Ramussen reports that "Claire McCaskill has now jumped to a 10-point lead over her Republican challenger, Congressman Todd Akin, in Missouri's U.S. Senate race." Before Akin delivered his infamous comment about rape and pregenancy, polls showed him leading by as much as 11 points.
This is a very bad poll for Akin, and for Republicans, But I doubt that it's bad enough, in itself, to induce Akin to quit the race, given that he desperately wants to carry on.
Akin likely will believe that he can surmount a 10 point lead as he reconnects with voters and as the furor over his remark decreases. If anything drives Akin out, presumably it will be funding problems, to the extent they prove severe.
UPDATE: The New York Times does its part to encouarge Akin not to quit. It suggests that Akin still has a fair shot at defeating McCaskill.

COUNTDOWN TO VICTORY: 75 DAYS TO THE 2012 ELECTIONS
The Obama presidency has certainly been a time of firsts and broken records. Obama smashed the record for campaign spending in his bid to win the White House four years ago, and he won a historic victory.
But with all the hype about hope and change came a lot of broken promises, like Obama's pledge in February 2009 to cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term. He's not even close.
This week the Congressional Budget Office estimated that the deficit for this fiscal year will be $1.1 trillion. That's another first for Barack Obama -- the first time in our nation's history we have ever run deficits in excess of $1 trillion four years in a row.
This is absolutely staggering, friends. Obama added more to the national debt than every U.S. president from Washington to Reagan combined -- just in his first 19 months in office! And what do we have to show for it?
Today it was reported that claims for jobless benefits rose once again. And, once again, the figures for the previous week were also revised upward. Obama and his socialist allies insist we need to spend more to stimulate the economy.
But they promised us that spending all this money would lower the unemployment rate to 5.6%. Instead, it's now 8.3% and higher today than when Obama took office. Yet another broken promise.
And please, friends, don't fall for Obama's class warfare rhetoric that if only we taxed the rich a little more we could pay down the deficit. As we have noted repeatedly, Obama's tax increases on the rich amount to a drop in the bucket. If you are a visual learner, check out this video.
The New York Times recently reported that economists estimate raising taxes on those making $250,000 or more would raise about $85 billion a year. Well if the deficit is $1,100 billion, that leaves Obama $1,015 billion short. Where will he get the rest? From you!

Romney Vows Energy Independence
Today on the campaign trail, Mitt Romney outlined another critical difference between his vision for America and Obama's. While Obama has attacked our domestic energy industry, blocked the Keystone pipeline with Canada and wasted billions of your hard-earned tax dollars speculating in "green energy," Mitt Romney wants to unleash the vast potential of America's proven energy reserves.
During a campaign stop in New Mexico, Governor Romney vowed to dramatically expand oil and natural gas exploration, including off shore drilling in areas Obama has put off limits. One brilliant aspect of Romney's plan is to get Washington out of the way and "permit individual states to manage energy development on federal lands within their borders."
Romney says his energy proposals would create millions of new jobs, generate $1 trillion in new revenue and achieve energy independence within eight years.

Author Dinesh D'Souza is making headlines with a new movie called "2016: Obama's America." The movie was produced by Gerald Molen, one of the producers of "Schindler's List." "2016" is a powerful film that demonstrates how Barack Obama developed his left-wing ideology and its implications for our future if he is reelected.
Conservative scholar Thomas Sowell has seen "2016." Here's what he had to say about it: "I drove 30 miles to see the movie... Every seat in the theater was filled... I had to sit on a staircase in the balcony, but it was worth it."
