Israel: Syrian Transfer of WMD to Hezbollah is Act of War

Israel will act "decisively and without hesitation or restraint" if Syria transfers any chemical weapons to the terrorist organization Hezbollah, Israel's Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman declares.
Liberman also said Syria's transfer of chemical weapons to Hezbollah would be a "justification for war."
Speaking at a press conference at the EU-Israel Association Council meeting in Brussels on Tuesday, Liberman said the transfer of some of Syria's stockpile of chemical and biological weapons to anti-Israel Hezbollah would make tensions in the region "a completely different ballgame," adding that "we hope for the understanding and cooperation of the international community," the Jerusalem Post reported.
Also on Tuesday, Israeli Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz said that the Jewish state could face a large-scale conflict in the aftermath of an attack against Syria's chemical weapons.

Just in: Contempt of Congress AG Eric Holder has ordered the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate
Pennsylvania's newly enactedVoter ID law--adding an additional hurdle for the law to overcome if it's to be implemented on election day, Tuesday, November 6.
The timing of the investigation is quite suspect since a Commonwealth Court hearing challenging the law is set to begin in Harrisburg this Wednesday, July 25.
The hearing, expected to last 5-7 days, is open to the public. (We encourage you to attend if possible--details below.)

American Civil Liberties Union and their allies, of course.
The Voter ID law, which enhances voter integrity by making voter fraud more difficult to conduct, was signed by Gov. Tom Corbett earlier this year. Its passage has obviously frightened the Obama administration and its cohorts.

Door Knocking This Saturday Again In Newtown!!!
We had another huge success door knocking for Ann Chapman for State Representative and John Maher for Auditor General this past Saturday.
We were able to knock on hundreds of doors in just a couple of hours because of YOUR help!!! So, we are meeting again this Saturday, same time, same place!!!

Now that I have walked precincts and spoken with voters, and presented my new lecture "Community Organizing to Win Elections!" numerous times, I can give you this empirical info on how we can win in 2012! If you attend neighborhood meetings, town halls, or just speak with your neighbors and friends, use the following tactic:
"Are you better off than you were four years ago? I'm not! I'm paying twice as much for gas and food. I have had to cut back on things I used to do and buy four years ago. I used to go out to eat three to four times each week, but now I can only go a few times a week because I'm paying so much more for everything!"
Use this analogy regarding the 2012 election when you speak to voters:
"Do you have a 401K or stock portfolio? You know, America is just like a business. If you bought stock in a company four years ago such as Apple, and they hired a new CEO right after, and during the past four years that new CEO ruined the company so that your stock went down in value, what do think should happen to that incompetent CEO? If you could, would you attend the annual stockholder's meeting and vote that incompetent CEO out? Would you vote to hire a more competent CEO? Of course you would!
America has an "annual stockholder's meeting" every four years! It is our Presidential Election! We are all stockholders in America, and it is our responsibility to have competent management running America ds that our "stock" in America increases in value! "

All talking points when addressing voters or interviewers should only deal with "money" issues! The concept is, "Are you better off today than you were four years ago?"
Question: Why has the current administration removed food and gas from the Inflation Index?
Answer: To fool US! Removing food and gas from the Inflation Index shows that very little inflation is present benefitting the admninistration's propaganda. How much more are WE paying for such things as a gallon of gas - more than double what it was when Obama was elected - and basic food such as milk, cheese, meat, and fish? Do you think Obama refusing to allow oil drilling off the West and East coasts, the Gulf of Mexico, and Alaska has driven up the price of gas?
Question:Do you know how much California pays public schools for each student?
Answer:California pays more than $14,000 for each student, $67 BILLION a year. If there are an average of 25 students in each public school classroom, that equals $350,000 per classroom. The average wage for a California elementary school teacher is approximately $50,000. That leaves $300,000 per classroom. Where's the money? Why do parents have to give teachers money each year to buy supplies like paper and pencils? Where's the money? Pensions? Benefits?
Question:Does the Government abuse their credit card?
Answer:At the end of each month WE must pay at least the minimum on each credit card. If WE don't pay the balance off each month, the credit card company charges US interest on the amount WE don't pay. At some point WE will discover that OUR balances are so high that WE will never be able to pay off OUR credit card debt, and must declare bankruptcy. Our government continues to borrow $.40 of every dollar spent! This is a "credit card" WE can never pay off! It has to stop!
Question:How much is Obama's portion of the National Debt, really?
Answer:Do WE as taxpayers really owe that $5 TRILLION dollars that Obama ran up? In fact, WE taxpayers owe $10 TRILLION dollars, not just $5 TRILLION! What did WE taxpayer's get for that $5 TRILLION dollars of any value to offset that $5 TRILLION debt? Apparently nothing! Money doesn't disappear into thin air - it goes somewhere to somebody! Wouldn't you like to know who got it?
Without this information YOU are powerless to change anything. Elected officials do NOT want you to have that information because you could hold them accountable. I bet a lot of them would wind up in prison! It is in their interest to keep you in the dark. It is up to you to turn on the lights!

STOP the Smartmeter NOW
Dear Patriots,
Just to make you aware, Smartmeters are here. After thorough investigation and talking with PECO, they are currently installing Smartmeters in PA. Several people have contacted PECO and told them that we did not want the Smartmeter. Their response is they run the risk of having their electricity turned off.
Just a background on Smartmeters: In 2008, Act 129 was passed and signed into law by Governor Rendell to make Smartmeters mandatory in PA. How will this affect you? You will be required to install a smart meter in your home which will be monitored by your electric company on a minute to minute basis. The video below explains how the smartmeter was started and where they plan to go with this which will be monitored constantly (new utilities will have smart meter chips in them.
Do you want PECO or the Government monitoring your electricity usage? If this is such a great thing, why is it being forced upon us and if not taken, you take the risk of having your power turned off. Once on the grid, the government through PECO will be able to monitor each and control all of your electric utilities. Do you want the department of energy monitoring your usage of electric via PECO and possibly turning off your electric and certain peak hours (as explained in this video).
What you can do: Representative Reese from Westmoreland County has introduced two bills whichare in the Consumer Affairs Committee. ONE BILL WOULD ALLOW FOR OPTING OUT OF GETTING A SMART METER THE OTHER BILL WOULD REQUIRE CONSUMER CONSENT BEFORE INFORMATION FROM THE METER COULD BE SHARED WITH A GOVERNMENT AGENCY. Please contact the people listed in the link and let them know that we want these bills brought to the floor for the vote. This is our local electric company being used for the UN Agenda 21 (Sustainable Development). We need everyone's involvement so pass on to everyone you know. Let's make an effort to get this out of committee.
I have contacted PECO and told them not to install a smartmeter on my house. I would suggest doing the same with your electric company. They need a loud outcry from the american people. I will also be putting this sticker on my meter. I will be editing the wording down below, but here it is.

"Losing our Sons": Documentary looks at domestic Islamic radicalization and jihadization
Charles Jacobs at Americans for Peace and Tolerance announced today the release of a trailer for their upcoming documentary, "Losing Our Sons", featuring Melvin Bledsoe - father of domestic terrorist Carlos Bledsoe aka Abdulhakim Mohamed who gunned down US Army recruiter Pvt. William Long at an Army-Navy recruiting center in Little Rock, Arkansas in June 2009. Melvin Bledsoe testified at the House Homeland Security Committee hearing earlier this month.
The upcoming documentary discusses how Bledsoe was radicalized by the Muslim Student Association in Tennessee and sent to terrorist training in Yemen with the written recommendation of the imam of a Nashville mosque. It also discusses how the agents of radicalization in the Nashville Muslim community have been aided by collaborators in the establishment media, politics and the so-called "interfaith" community.
Featuring 113 primary source documents, The U.S. Constitution: A Reader was developed for teaching the core course on the U.S. Constitution at Hillsdale College.

Last week I had the opportunity to get a sneak-peek at the RNC's new Facebook application. Designed, in the words of one RNC staffer to "take our message where the people are," the Social Victory Center appwill, among other things, hook users up with campaign news targeted based on their location and preferences (which Facebook already knows, of course), let users join volunteer efforts, distribute voter registration forms, and provide an online phone bank, all without leaving the Facebook website. It will also, if users wish, put those activities on the user's Facebook wall, letting their friends see what they're up to and, hopefully, encouraging them to join in.
It's an attempt to leverage Facebook's popularity in a new way and, at the moment, the Democrats have nothing like it. The Social Victory Center was unveiled to the public yesterday, so if you're on Facebook, check it out. As the general election ramps up, check back for volunteer activities as they're added. Also, like I did in 2008, I'll be pushing online phone banking in the final weeks of the election, only this time the RNC will have done the heavy-lifting that the McCain team wasn't too keen on.

Some will take issue with comparing guns to Pandora's box, but in the discussion of gun control, Pandora's box is the appropriate analogy. Try as we might, we will never, ever put guns back into Pandora's box.
Disagreement continues to be defined as racism by the Democrat party. Speaking on the John Fredericks Morning Show, State Sen. Louise Lucas, part of President Obama's "Truth Team" and an official member of the campaign, accused Mitt Romney of gearing his campaign in Virginia to "fringe racists" which, one can only assume, is anyone that opposes President Obama.
The latest evidence that New York City mayor Mike Bloomberg's brain is melting into a puddle of hot goo came courtesy of a Monday night appearance on Piers Morgan's CNN "show." This time, the pint-sized billionaire with a taste for cradle-to-the-grave control over the proletariat suggested that "police officers across this country...stand up collectively and say 'we're going to go on strike'" until the people, in exchange for order, safety, and security, willingly give up their right to bear arms.

As the primary season progresses, we've see this pattern repeat itself on numerous occasions. There's an old bull Republican who has been pushing for big government and anti-free-market policies for years. Then, as soon as his primary opponent begins to sow the seeds of disquiet in his district, the old bull lurches to the right, introduces conservative legislation, and attacks his conservative challenger as a liberal.
In recent years, GOP establishment figures have accused the Tea Party of thwarting a Republican majority in the Senate by nominating conservatives whom they believe are unelectable. One would expect them do elicit a commensurate degree of outrage from the following story reported by The Hill.

Editor's note: It's a presidential election year, so we thought we'd weigh in with our list of the five worst presidents. We start with, yes, the current incumbent. See our other choices at U-T Opinion online.
He took office at a time when the U.S. economy was on its worst slide in 75 years, but pushed policies using borrowed money that were more meant to preserve government jobs than broadly help the private sector where the great majority of Americans work, ensuring the jobs crisis continued.
He railed against the heavy spending and big deficits of his predecessor, but blithely backed budgets that had triple the deficits ever seen in American history.
He promised a smart, sweeping overhaul of the U.S. health care system, but ended up giving us a Byzantine mess promoted to the public with myths: that offering subsidized care to tens of millions of people would save money; that people would keep their own doctors; that access to care wouldn't change; and that rationing would never happen.
He promised a more sophisticated approach to the economy than that of his predecessor, but had so little common sense that his health law actually gave businesses a big financial incentive to discontinue providing health insurance to their employees.
As I told you before, the International Olympic Committee-which still will not remember the murdered Munich Israeli athletes with a legitimate moment of silence and/or a memorial-announced a policy, earlier this year, dropping the requirement that women beach volleyball players wear a two-piece athletic bikini. The IOC specifically noted that dropping the bikini requirement was done to please, appease, and pander to Muslim countries, which would be offended by the display and wouldn't allow its women to participate in the two-piece suits. Now, the IOC has announced that women will probably have to cover up and wear long sleeves over their bikinis, using the excuse that it's "cold" in London. Don't believe it. This move is, yet again, to appease Muslims.
The embrace of the Muslim Brotherhood by President Obama, aided and abetted by the Republican establishment, is not new. It is the culmination of a gradual surrender whose silhouette was already evident nearly twenty years ago.

This article reports Hassan Shibly's erroneous complaint, Sam Kharoba's response, Hassan Shibly's two encounters with US Department of Homeland Security and Hassan Shibly's Jihad apologetics.
Florida Family Association sent out an email alert on July 16, 2012 that urged patriots to send emails to Florida Governor Rick Scott, FDLE Commissioner Gerald Bailey and staff to counter Hassan Shibly's (CAIR Florida Director) demand that the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and other officials stop allowing counter terrorist expert Sam Kharoba from training their officers.
Hassan Shiblyposted another lie about Sam Kharoba in his quest to cut off the valuable public safety service that the Counter Terrorism Operations Center (CTOC) provides all citizens by educating Florida Department of Law Enforcement and Florida Sheriff Officers. Hassan Shibly falsely claimed that Sam Kharoba was the subject of an EEOC complaint involving Muslim stereotyping and personal bias.
Sam Kharoba responded to Hassan Shibly's lie as follows:
According to the EEOC report, complainant ["was part of a class of trainees attending a seven-week training course at FLETC"] and ["From January 11, 2005 and February 25, 2005, complainant was subjected to a hostile work environment"]. I never taught a seven-week class at FLETC. I was never at FLETC for seven weeks. I also never taught student trainees at FLETC.
This class, as clearly stated in the EEOC ["complainant had been hired and was in the process of being trained as a Center Adjudication Officer at the agency's Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC)"] was part of an agency's curriculum and was taught by agency instructors and not by guest instructors such as myself. I was never employed by FLETC or any Governmental Agency. I1 in the EEOC report was a fulltime instructor at FLETC!
Furthermore, I never instructed a class at FLETC by the title "Arab Names/Arab Culture". I never published any document or booklet by the title "Core Beliefs of Islam: The Mindset of Violence."

Hassan Shibly was detained twice by the Department of Homeland Security when entering the United States.
According to an MSNBC.comreport "Government records show that Hassan Shibly of Tampa, Fla., has been pulled aside at airports for secondary screening at least 20 times since 2004."
Hassan Shibly was detained by US Border Patrol in 2004 after traveling to a radical Islamic conference in Canada.
Hassan Shibly at the age of 17 or 18 was detained with several others at the Canadian border while returning from the "Reviving Islamic Spirit" conference in Toronto. Click here to read news report in The Washington Post.
According to court records"In December 2004, officials at the U.S. Bureau of Customs and Border Protection ("CBP") received intelligence that gave them reason to believe that persons with known terrorist ties would be attending certain Islamic conferences to be held during the year-end holiday season of 2004, including the Reviving the Islamic Spirit Conference at the Skydome in Toronto, Canada. Based on that intelligence, CBP instituted a special inspection operation pursuant to which all individuals who attended these conferences and sought entry into the United States were subject to the kind of screening procedure normally reserved for suspected terrorists. As a result of this policy, plaintiffs - five U.S. citizens and practicing Muslims with no criminal records and of whom the government had no individualized suspicion of being associated with terrorism - were, upon returning from the Skydome conference into the United States, detained by CBP officials for several hours, questioned, patted-down, fingerprinted, and photographed."
The conference featured a host of controversial speakers, including the virulent anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan and William Baker, an anti-Semite with neo-Nazi connections. Shibly sued the Department of Homeland Security for what he believed was racial profiling, but lost the initial case and the appeal after courts found his detainment was not overly intrusive.
The United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit ruled on November 26, 2007 that the district court ruled correctly in denying Shibly's claim against the United States. In summary the appellate court ruled "Appeal from a final judgment of the United States District Court for the Western District of New York (William M. Skretny, Judge), holding that the United States Bureau of Customs and Border Protection's searches and detention of plaintiffs at the U.S.-Canada border, upon plaintiffs' return from an Islamic conference in Toronto, did not violate the Administrative Procedure Act, the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, or plaintiffs' rights under the First and Fourth Amendments to the United States Constitution, and granting defendants' motion for summary judgment."
Homeland security officials said that 34 people were selected for the secondary questioning at Queenston Lewiston Bridge and four others at Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls. None were charged with a crime.
Hassan Shibly was detained at JFK Airport in 2010 after traveling to Mecca.
This was the welcome that Hassan Shibly, traveling with his wife and infant son, said they received in August 2010, when they returned to the United States from Jordan, after traveling to Mecca.
"Are you part of any Islamic tribe? Have you ever studied Islam full time? How many gods do you believe in?" "How many prophets do you believe in?" the agent at New York's JFK Airport asked, according to Shibly, 24, a Syrian-born Muslim American. Hassan Shibly apologetics for Jihadists.
Hassan Shibly granted legitimacy to Hizballah following the 2006 Israel-Lebanon War by characterizing it as a "resistance movement" that provides valued social services to the Lebanese people. "They're absolutely not a terrorist organization," Shibly said, and "any war against them is illegitimate."
In his Facebook page, Shibly defended a radical imam killed by the FBI after he opened fire on agents moving in to arrest him. In an October 2009 post, Shibly questioned the use of force against Imam Luqman Abdullah even though the criminal complaint against him made it clear Abdullah advocated violent jihad and urged followers never to surrender peacefully to authorities.
Shibly's online profile also features American-born Islamic cleric Khalid Yasin as an "Interest." Yasin is known for his controversial views, including a 2005 interview in which he says that Muslims cannot be friends with non-Muslims; that suicide bombings are understandable; and that the U.S. orchestrated 9/11 to wage a war against Islam. "There's no such thing as a Muslim having a non-Muslim friend," he said. "If you prefer the clothing of the kafirs [disbelievers] over the clothing of the Muslims, most of those names that's on most of those clothings is (sic) faggots, homosexuals and lesbians." Yasin goes further, encouraging children to take up the "honor" of throwing stones and confronting Israeli soldiers when there are no more men left to do it.
Shibly opposed government detention of suspected terrorists. Hassan Shibly said during a Muslim Street Radio program that he strongly opposes the National Defense Authorization Act because the provisions in Title X, Subtitle D, entitled "Counter-Terrorism" allow detention of persons the government suspects of involvement in terrorism. Click here to see this interview on Youtube. The National Defense Authorization Act was signed into law by the president on December 31, 2011. The legislation passed the US Senate by an 86-13 vote on December 15, 2011 the US House of Representatives by a 283-136 on December 14, 2011.
Shibly's two sided representations regarding Tampa terrorist arrest illustrate CAIR's conflict with the truth. Hassan Shibly said that several mosques banned Tampa terrorist suspect Sami Osmakac because he "was no friend or supporter of the Muslim community." Then Shibly flipped to his real agenda by taking a jab at the FBI when he expressed "concern about a perception of entrapment" and said CAIR will monitor the case. "The weapons and explosives were provided by the government. Was he just a troubled individual, or did he pose a real threat?" said Shibly, who was briefed by FBI agents prior to Osmakac's arraignment. Applying First Principles to the Issues of Today
A Liberal Olympics
Fans of 1970s Saturday morning TV may remember the "Laff-A-Lympics," a cartoon spoof featuring goofy characters competing in strange events. With the actual Olympics starting this week, Americans will have the chance to witness many sporting events that we haven't paid much attention to since, well, 2008. But before the real games get underway, let's imagine what a "Liberal Olympics" might look like.
For starters, we'd need to give an advantage to countries that have been victimized by colonization. Recall the immortal words of President Lyndon Johnson: "You do not take a person who, for years, has been hobbled by chains and liberate him, bring him up to the starting line of a race and then say, 'you are free to compete with all the others,' and still justly believe that you have been completely fair."
It would be unfair, then, to expect Kenyans to compete as equals alongside their former colonial masters. In distance events, the former African colonies should enjoy a "head start," which would vary based on the length of the race being contested. It would range from just a thousand meters or so in the 10,000 meters to at least three miles in the marathon. This is, clearly, the only way these traditionally disadvantaged athletes can keep up.
Of course, this raises the problem that the United States was once a group of British colonies, and could technically be eligible for assistance when up against British athletes. Maybe Michael Phelps could lobby to be allowed to jump into the pool a few seconds before British swimmers?
Luckily, though, the days of American colonization were more than 200 years ago. So, using the logic of the Supreme Court in its Grutter v. Bollinger decision, the time for such assistance has passed. "We expect that 25 years from now, the use of racial preferences will no longer be necessary to further the interest approved today," Sandra Day O'Conner wrote in that 2003 decision.
Turning to track and field, it's blatantly prejudicial that while men compete in the decathlon (10 events) women vie in the heptathlon (eight events). Under the logic of Title IX, we should do away with the two events that men compete in and women do not. Likewise, women do not compete in baseball, so that sport should be dropped immediately.
Finally, there's the question of GDP. It's obviously unfair to expect poor Jamacian sprinters to go line up against richer American or Canadian runners who enjoy more expensive training techniques. Here at home, policymakers have solved this problem by creating the Earned Income Tax Credit "for certain people who work and have low to moderate wages."
To be fair to runners from poorer nations, we should do something similar and shave seconds off their times. If a sprinter from Jamaica crossed the finish line in, say 9.69 seconds, we'd mark it down as 9.5 seconds. Fairness abounds!
Enough silliness.
According to the ratings firm Nielsen, "4.7 billion viewers -- or 70 percent of the world's population -- tuned in to watch the [2008] Games." That was up from 3.9 billion in 2004 Athens Games and 3.6 billion in 2000. And there's a reason that the Olympics are so popular around the globe: It's because they're based entirely on merit. The best man (or woman) wins, regardless of creed, color or economic circumstance.
Yes, some countries tend to focus on particular events while others attempt to compete across-the-board. Thus Africans have come to dominate distance running, Asians dominate badminton and Americans vie for medals in most sports and consider ourselves unsuccessful if we don't bring back the largest number of medals. But this is a reminder of the value of competition.
As Matthew Spalding noted in his book We Still Hold These Truths, "The essence of liberty is the freedom to develop one's talents, pursue opportunity, and generally take responsibility for one's own life and well-being." That's exactly what occurs in hundreds of countries as athletes prepare for the Olympics, and it's what viewers see in the Olympic stadium when those athletes vie for medals.
In a world where it seems that every child gets a medal for simply competing, it's refreshing to see a true meritocracy. In the Olympics, only the very best are rewarded. That's why they matter, and that's why we watch.

Feinstein: National Security Leaks Coming from White House 'Ranks'

Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-CA), Chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, on Monday said the White House appears to be responsible for leaking classified national security information.
''I think the White House has to understand that some of this is coming from their ranks,'' Feinstein said at a World Affairs Council forum, according to the Associated Press (AP).

Barack Obama's Marxism-flash in Roanoke, VA. is still making headlines. Campaigning for the Senate in Boston last week, Harvard Hag Elizabeth Warren reminded us that not only did government build the roads, but also educated the semi-literate workers businesses have to hire.
Only someone who's spent their adult life in an academic Cloud Cuckoo land would think government did business a huge favor by cranking out public school graduates who need to take off their shoes to do higher math and think the Monroe Doctrine refers to an actress born Norma Jean.
Obama's you-didn't-build-that comments were the most telling moment in the campaign so far. The president is bitter and frustrated, due to his inability to run away from Romney in the polls. Hence his off-script spasm in Roanoke, where he sounded like the villain in an Ayn Rand novel:
"Look, you've been successful. Look, you didn't get there on your own....I'm always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart.... It must be because I worked harder than everybody else," said the man who's played 100 rounds of golf since taking office.
President Hunsacker continued: "If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help.... Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you've got a business - you didn't build that. Somebody else made it happen.... Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet." (If government had invented the Internet, it would operate with the same speed as the U.S. Postal Service.)
Obama's musings on the way the economy works come from a man who never invented anything, never built anything, never took a chance by sinking every cent he had into a start-up company, never had to beg for a loan based on a hunch, never had to put in 16-hour days, never had to meet a payroll or agonize over the effects of government regulation.
Obama's life has been devoted to making government, from which, he believes, all blessings flow. He was trained to be part of the ruling elite at Columbia University and Harvard Law School, and initiated at the University of Chicago Law School (where he had a teaching position), the Illinois State Senate and the U.S. Senate.
Only someone as arrogant and oblivious as our 44th president would believe this background qualifies him to lecture businessmen (large and small) on why their success is due to the collective. Then again, Marx wrote volumes about what was wrong with capitalism without every setting foot on a factory floor.
Most analyses of Obama's Roanoke remarks have focused on a defense of entrepreneurs.
What's missing is the obvious implications. If you didn't build it, we can take it from you. It's not theft; it's restitution. You didn't build the roads and bridges and Internet. You didn't educate your workers in government illiteracy factories (but you did get to finance the foregoing through your taxes). So you don't deserve a six-figure income.
Wealth is theft. Successful businesses are built on the backs of workers. Greed runs a world in need, to paraphrase Obama's pastor for 19 years.
So let's tax away their excess profits (essentially, everything). As the president said during the 2008 campaign, "When you spread the wealth around (from each according to his ability?) it's good for everybody." Since you didn't really earn it, we can regulate it to extinction, take it away from you (GM bondholders) and give it to the exploited/downtrodden (unions).
It's not enough for the top 10% of earners to pay 71% of all federal income taxes. Hence Obama's plan to soak those earning over $250,000 - including most small businessmen - even more after January 1, 2013.
Obama's prescription for socialist justice has been a roaring success in Russia, Mao's China, North Korea and Cuba. Obama would understand this if he bothered to read economics (other than Paul Krugman's New York Times fantasies) or if he read any history, besides "The People's History of the United States."
I went to school with Barack Obama - well, not literally. I went to school with privileged pinkos like him when I was a student at Boston University (1966-1972).
As a campus conservative, I fought against the bolshie brats who thought businessmen didn't build it, so restitution - to workers, welfare recipients and oppressed minorities - was the only moral course.
I took two political sciences courses from Howard Zinn (also my faculty advisor) author of "The People's History of the United States," revisionism's all-time bestseller, with over 1 million copies in print.
The FBI had a 423-page file on Ho Chi Zinn (as we called him in the '60s), who was a member of the U.S. Communist Party from the late 1940s to the mid-1950s.
Zinn was the leader of the campus cong during the era of protest. He made a pilgrimage to North Vietnam with Daniel Berrigan. Author Alice Walker, another doctrinaire leftist, recalls once hearing Zinn say, "I stand to the left of Mao." He supported race riots in Roxbury and elsewhere, while safely situated in Newton, an upper-class Boston suburb.
He favored SDS, the Black Panthers and the Progressive Labor Party, and defended North Korea, North Vietnam, Cuba, Maoist China, Sandinista Nicaragua and Iran. He never even acknowledged the Killing Fields, Castro's repression which caused 1.5 million to flee the tropical paradise or Mao's mass murder.
In 25 years of teaching at Boston University, he filled empty craniums with Marxist mulch, while rich alumni paid his salary.
Frank Marshall Davis (1905-1987) was a contemporary of Zinn (1922-2010), as well as a fellow Communist Party member. Davis may have joined the party as early as 1931. The FBI's file on him ran 601 pages.
Davis was both less and more successful than Zinn. The former was never a tenured professor, never wrote an influential tome, and never attracted celebrity followers like Matt Damon (whose character recommended "The People's History" to Robin Williams in the 1997 movie "Good Will Hunting").
But Davis was a formative influence on Barack Obama. The president's maternal grandfather, Stanley Armour Dunham, arranged for Davis to mentor the young Barack from 1971-79. In "Dreams From My Father," Obama identifies this seminal influence on his formative years only as "a poet named Frank." Even in the mid-1990s, Obama understood that the association would be a liability to an aspiring politician.
Like Zinn in the 1960s, Davis wanted fair play for Fidel.
I know where Obamaism began - with '60s whack-jobs like Zinn and Barack's buddy Bill Ayers. And I know where it leads. In 1998, I spent a week in Havana.
You can read about the repression (100,000 who've spent time in labor camps, 16,000 political executions). You can read the economic stats - average salary, $18 U.S. per month, lowest per capita caloric consumption in the hemisphere, sugar harvests approaching the 1933-level, fewer than 9% of homes with a telephone, 93% of Cubans working for the state. (Obama must be envious.)
But you have to spend time there to really understand how Castro has destroyed the lives of generations of Cubans. When I was in Havana, food rations included six eggs and two pounds of fish - per person, per month.
Doctors bicycled to and from work. I spoke to a neurosurgeon who was fired from the hospital she founded for refusing to treat more medical tourists at the expense of ordinary Cubans. The doorman at my hotel was a civil engineer who could earn more in tips in a day than working at his profession for a month. That's the genius of collectivism - turning engineers into doormen.
Men and women in their twenties would come up to me on the street and quietly ask if I was an American. When I said yes, they pleaded with me to help get them out of Cuba.
In the course of my stay, I interviewed Gustavo Arcos Bergnes, who fought with Fidel in the Sierra Madre and served as Castro's first ambassador to Belgium, until he discovered that El Maximo Leader intended to turn the island into a gulag. Arcos was eventually imprisoned for three years for "counterrevolutionary" activities and later became active in the Cuban Committee for Human Rights.
When I met the old man, he was living in a one-room apartment with Michael Jackson - the pet parrot he'd taught to moonwalk.
"But you were one of Castro's closest confidants, didn't you know he was a communist?" I asked. "Are you kidding? In the Sierra Madre, he wore a crucifix around his neck," the dissident replied.
In 2008, Obama was going to bring us all together, heal our racial wounds, give us an economy that really worked and get the world to love us. He was the harbinger of hope and change.
After 3 ½ years of trillion-dollar deficits, the highest sustained unemployment since the Great Depression, the GM-takeover, nationalized health care, spreading the wealth around, and class-warfare rhetoric, we won't be able to say we didn't know this time around.

At the Minnesota Supreme Court on July 17, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) argued that Gopher State people aren't smart enough to be allowed to vote in November on whether to approve a voter photo ID constitutional amendment.
The group, which has sued to halt anti-vote-fraud measures in several other states, didn't actually say Minnesotans lack the brainpower to contend with tighter voter ID standards. The ACLU argued instead that the amendment language is too vague and the ballot wording too simple.
The contention is that Minnesotans, like hapless minorities who the ACLU says are incapable of obtaining IDs, apparently are too clueless to be trusted with deciding this issue.

President Obama produced political tremors last week when he said in Roanoke that individual success comes from government so we need to give back by paying higher taxes. Combined with his executive order allowing states to opt out of requiring work for welfare, it's a 10 on the Richter scale.
Contrary to Obama's spinners, he wasn't taken out of context. If it was a gaffe, he got stuck on stupid by repeating, "look, if you've been successful, you didn't get there on your own. You didn't get there on your own." His only "gaffe" was revealing his inner socialist.
The day before Obama's "you didn't build it" speech, he instructed Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius to allow the states to exempt welfare recipients from work requirements under the bipartisan 1996 welfare reform act, "Temporary Assistance for Needy Families" (TANF), signed into law by then-President Bill Clinton. The exemption is clearly a violation of TANF and other federal statutes. Obama's order is one more of his several infringements of congressional authority.

Bipartisan Welfare Reform One of the greatest bipartisan policy successes of recent decades was the 1996 welfare reform of the old Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) program, enacted into law by the then Republican Congress and signed by President Bill Clinton. The 1996 AFDC reforms returned the share of federal spending on the program to each state in the form of a "block grant" to be used in a new welfare program redesigned by the state based on mandatory work for the able bodied. Federal funding for AFDC previously was based on a matching formula, with the federal government giving more to each state the more it spent on the program, effectively paying the states to spend more on welfare. The key to the 1996 reforms was that the new block grants to each state were finite, not matching, so the federal funding did not vary with the amount the state spent. If a state's new program cost more, the state had to pay the extra costs itself. If the program cost less, the state could keep the savings.
The Great Dissent Part V: Why the Entire Obamacare System Must Be Struck Down in Court

The capstone to the Great Dissent was the explanation of why the entire 2,700-page Affordable Care Act (ACA) must be struck down along with the unconstitutional Individual Mandate and the unconstitutional Medicaid Expansion.
When part of a law is found unconstitutional and invalidated by a court, severability doctrine is the set of rules under which a court determines how much of the law must fall alongside the invalid provision. While most large statutes include a severability clause that declares Congress' wish that if part of the law is invalidated, the remaining provisions should survive, Congress declined to insert such a clause in Obamacare. That does not automatically mean that the law is nonseverable, but it does mean that courts have a much more difficult task determining how much of the law to save.
Following my overall analysis of the Obamacare decision, we decided to take up the call of the four dissenting justices, that this case should be a historic teaching opportunity to impress upon the American people the structure and nature of the Constitution and how its limits on government power are to ensure the liberty and happiness of the American people by keeping government out of their lives.

In recent months, a series of national security leaks resulted in glowing news articles about Barack Obama. No doubt the Obama campaign was thrilled, but the exposure of such sensitive information set off alarm bells in Washington intelligence circles and even resulted in a rare moment of bi-partisan agreement.
Senator John McCain (R-AZ), the ranking Republican on the Armed Services Committee, told CBS, "This is the most highly classified information and it's now been leaked ... and that's not acceptable."
Senator John Kerry (D-MA), chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, said, "A number of those leaks, and others in the last months ... are frankly all against national-security interests. I think they're dangerous, damaging, and whoever is doing that is not acting in the interest of the United States of America."
In response to pressure, Attorney General Eric Holder appointed two federal prosecutors to investigate the allegations and "to prosecute criminal violations discovered as a result of their investigations." After closed-door hearings last week, the chairman of the House Armed Services Committee told reporters that he was "pretty secure" that the Pentagon was not responsible for the leaks. So who is?
Yesterday Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, pointed her finger at the Obama White House. In remarks to the World Affairs Council, Sen. Feinstein said, "I think the White House has to understand that some of this is coming from their ranks." Feinstein was, of course, quick to absolve President Obama of responsibility.
But in one of its columns on Obama's weekly "kill list" meetings to determine the targets for future drone attacks, the New York Times noted that David Axelrod attended these sensitive meetings. Why was the president's "closest political adviser" sitting in on such meetings, and was it pure coincidence that the secret information in those meetings became public? If you believe that, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

The Obama campaign has spent tens of millions of dollars on negative ads in recent weeks trying desperately to turn Mitt Romney's business experience into a liability. Despite the barrage of negative, and largely false ads, the two candidates are virtually tied in the polls.
Today the respected Gallup poll released the results of a new survey that suggest Obama's campaign has wasted millions of dollars. According to the poll, 63% of Americans felt that Romney's business background would help make good choices on the economy. Just 29% said it would lead him to make bad decisions.
Moreover, 61% believe the government is trying to do too many things that should be left to the private sector. According to Gallup, that is a record number of Americans saying government is too big!
And unless a Republican Congress and a Republican president are elected, government will only get bigger and take an even bigger bite out of your paycheck!
The Threat To Your Health Care
Barack Obama and his Democrat allies repeatedly promised that nothing in Obamacare would cause any American to lose their health insurance if they liked their current policies. But the Wall Street Journal reports today that survey of 560 companies found that nearly 10% of businesses plan to drop their health insurance coverage if Obamacare takes effect as scheduled in 2014. And as many as one third might do so depending on the impact of additional government regulations and tax increases.
These are not insignificant numbers. Well over 100 million people receive health insurance through their employer. But Obamacare actually provides perverse incentives for businesses to drop insurance coverage of their workers and dump people into Obamacare, creating a huge new burden for taxpayers.
Quite frankly I think Obama knew this would happen. He ultimately wants all health insurance to come through the government, not the private sector.
Obama Gets Big Endorsement
Barack Obama got a big endorsement last week, but I doubt you will see an ad bragging about it. In fact, it couldn't have come at a worse time. Just as he is trying to defend his collectivist, anti-business "you didn't build that" gaffe, he gets a big wet kiss from Hugo Chavez!
That's right -- the guy in Latin America who is leading the socialist charge to nationalize major industries said last weekend that his pro-capitalism, free enterprise opponent in Venezuela's presidential election was like Mitt Romney, and Obama "deep down is a good guy."
Now why would a committed socialist like Hugo Chavez say Obama is really a good guy? I guess Chavez heard something from Obama he liked. I'm guessing it was Obama's socialist, anti-free market rhetoric, as well as his big government policies!
The Tragedy Of Abortion
There is news today that a 24 year-old woman died last week after getting a botched, second trimester abortion at a Chicago Planned Parenthood clinic. We are hearing about this because the young lady had friends and family who loved her, and her life was precious and valuable.
Sadly, every abortion always results in a death -- the aborted child. In addition, every abortion results in the exploitation of a woman deceived by our culture and by the profiteers in the abortion industry.
America was founded on the belief that we are all endowed by our Creator with the inalienable right to life. But the left has confused liberty with licentiousness, and every day in America, thousands of innocent lives are sacrificed on the altar of choice. We are better than this. I will continue to work for the day when every child is welcomed into this world and protected under the law.

As a nation $15 trillion in debt, with historic unemployment three years after liberals supposedly "fixed" the economy with their $800 billion stimulus, voters are agreeing with conservatives that maybe government isn't as good at solving economic problems as liberals would like us to believe.
Blaming our country's every problem on conservatives is cowardly. But liberals prefer to scapegoat conservatives "because they lack the courage to look in the mirror and point the finger at the establishment they call home."
The Obama administration's policy of cutting back military spending is hurting America's military presence in Europe and around the world.
According to a recent report from The Heritage Foundation's Luke Coffey, the decision to downsize American bases in Europe abandons our commitment to transatlantic security and only emboldens our adversaries in the Euro-Atlantic region.
Instead of cutting defense spending and disregarding America's foreign defense strategies, the White House should put national security first. The administration needs to demonstrate that the United States is committed to NATO and Euro-Atlantic security, while remaining honest and open with our European allies before we cut troops. Instead of cutting bases, we should consider establishing new bases along the periphery of Europe, rewarding our key allies with closer defense cooperation.
Now, with the Supreme Court's ruling that Obamacare's Medicaid expansion mandate is unconstitutional, the law is on an even "faster pace to collapse," explains Heritage expert Nina Owcharenko.
States "should not buckle under this pressure" to expand their Medicaid programs, Owcharenko argues. Medicaid programs are already struggling in many states to cover costs and to provide quality services. Even with federal support, expanding programs will strain already tight state budgets.

Laffer popularized supply-side economics. He gained prominence while serving on President Reagan's Economic Policy Advisory Board. Solar-cell manufacturer Solyndra became a household name when it collapsed, taking $627 million in American taxpayer dollars with it. It's the poster company for the government picking winners and losers-or really, just losers-in the energy market. But there are 12 more "green energy" losers that have declared bankruptcy despite attempts to prop them up with taxpayer money-and the list is growing.
There's a reason why these companies could not rely solely on private financing and needed help from the government. They couldn't make it on their own; they couldn't even make it with extra taxpayer help.
These green government "investments" take from one (by taxing or borrowing) and give to another, but they merely move money around. They do not create jobs. They send labor and resources to areas of the economy where they are wasted. Proponents of special financing and tax credits for solar companies claim that these benefits will pay for themselves down the line-but when the companies receiving them are going bankrupt, that is highly unlikely.

Mountain Plaza, Inc. (Dandridge, Tennessee), designed and implemented "truck-stop electrification" technology.
Olsen's Crop Service and Olsens Mills Acquisition Co. (Berlin, Wisconsin), a private company producing ethanol.
Range Fuels (Soperton, Georgia), tried to develop a technology that converted biomass into ethanol without the use of enzymes.
Raser Technologies (Provo, Utah), geothermal power plants and technology licensing.
Solyndra (Fremont, California), manufacturer of cylindrical panels of thin-film solar cells.

Some lawmakers are looking for a solution. The aptly named No More Solyndras Act would prohibit any new loan guarantees from Title XVII of the Energy Policy Act of 2005.
Republicans and Democrats alike need to end their addiction to energy subsidies, or we're going to continue down the same failed path of wasteful spending...We don't need to fix the energy subsidy programs. We need to abolish them.
President Obama said in 2010 that "the true engine of economic growth will always be companies like Solyndra." He couldn't be more wrong. Companies that are innovating and creating real value for consumers are the engine of economic growth, and they're doing it without millions in taxpayer funding.
Why is it that in the previous decades, when life was tougher, weapons were widespread, and the ratio of mental disorders was presumably the same, mass shootings were unheard of? Some would say that those people had not yet been corrupted by moral relativism, desensitized by Hollywood's fantasy violence and glorification of crime, or addicted to gory point-and-shoot videogames. All valid points -- yet one major reason hardly gets any notice.
The set of rules for war are different from the set of rules for peace. Wars have always been brutal and soul-sapping; while killing was the norm, there have also been rules to spare innocent civilians. The inhuman murder of a random group of defenseless innocents for no other reason than murder itself was never a part of war -- let alone of peace. What has changed in our 2,000-year-old Western civilization that makes it possible?

Everyone in America who has followed this story is under the impression that when the mother was called by reporters, she said 'you've got the right person' giving the strong impression that she knew her son was a tragedy waiting to happen. Ever since one of the Chick-Fil-A owners was asked about his opinion on marriage, the popular fast food chain has been on the receiving end of many attacks coming from anti-Christian groups and individuals. The media has been quick to pile on the fast food giant, including Mediaite, who wasted valuable internet space arguing that gay people are somehow being oppressed by a company that makes chicken sandwiches.
