Limbaugh's Premiere Network pulled the show from PHT to move it to the new WKDN programming format.

Limbaugh will be on 106.9 with ~ 30kW which on VHF low-band FM is a very good power grant over Philadelphia piedmont terrain.  PHT with its alleged 50kW had only marginal signal here in NE Chester Co, for example, the result of their antenna pattern that excluded the west for some reason.  106.9 will not suffer that problem, so total EIB audience will probably increase - not to mention no more program delay or preemption for Philadelphia baseball programming.

Allen West Makes Claim about Democrats in Communist Party 4/10/12
At a town hall meeting in Jensen Beach, located in the district in which Congressman Allen West will be running for re-election in a new seat (FL-18), West states that, when asked how many members of the Democratic Party are card-carrying Marxist Socialists, that he believes that they are 78-81 members (in Congress) of the Democratic Party who belong to the Communist Party.

An extremely important movie is coming this summer - Dinesh D'Souza - Obama & 2016

Dinesh D'Souza is author of many New York Times best sellers.  The movie is from Gerald R. Molen, producer of Academy Award Winning Schindler's List.

It explains in plain language who Barack Obama really is, what he stands for, and the dangers of him being reelected for another four years.

Watch this short informative video preview of this movie which came out only yesterday and share it with others.  It has already been seen by over 18,000 people.  Within a very short time it will have been seen by millions!  After you see the preview, listen to what Dinesh has to say about Obama.  Please take the time to hear this and pass it on.

George W. Bush to speak in Pennsylvania on GOP presidential primary day

Former President George W. Bush will deliver a speech in Pennsylvania on the day of the state's GOP presidential primary. Bush is the only prominent politician in his family that has not made an endorsement in the 2012 presidential race.

Bush will give the keynote address at the Plumstead Christian School's annual "Founders Forum" on the Calvary Church's campus in Souderton, according to the school's official website.

His father, former President George H. W. Bush is the most recent member of the Bush family to endorse former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney for president.

Bush reportedly asked Romney if his son had endorsed him for president yet.

"I haven't met with President George W. Bush," Romney said. "We speak from time to time."

Barbara Bush, his wife, replied, "We'll talk about that."

The Meaning and History of the Constitution

and all Americans.

Weeks One & Two Now Available - Sign Up TODAY!

Dr. Larry P. Arnn
Dr. Larry P. Arnn

Over the years, many friends of Hillsdale, those who never attended college here, have said to me: "Dr. Arnn, I wish I could take Hillsdale's Constitution course!"

In response to these requests, this past year, for the first time ever, Hillsdale College offered the "Introduction to the Constitution" lecture series at no charge. Frankly, I wasn't sure what sort of a response a course like this would have.

That's why I was excited to see that YOU and almost 200,000 other people from all over the United States registered for "Introduction to the Constitution."

Thank you very much for registering and participating. I hope you learned a lot from the series.

I was thrilled, not only by the response, but at what it indicates: Americans are willing and eager learn about the Constitution and to defend the principles of liberty that made America so prosperous!

And this re-awakening of national interest in the Constitution comes not a minute too soon.

Now, for the first time ever, Hillsdale College is offering a no-cost 10-week online Constitution course based on the class Hillsdale College students must complete for graduation:

"Constitution 101: The Meaning and History of the Constitution"

This course on the U.S. Constitution is available online at no charge to anyone who wants to understand and defend the timeless principles of liberty upon which our nation was founded!

I am proud to be teaching part of our NEW "Constitution 101" course and hope YOU will be one of my students again!

Hillsdale College"Constitution 101" begins on February 20, 2012, and concludes the week of April 30. It will cover such topics as the Declaration of Independence and its connection to the Constitution, how the Constitution is structured to protect individual liberty and ensure good government, the crisis of constitutional government faced by Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War, and modern challenges to the Constitution during the "Progressive" era.

It is my honor to teach the first class, "The American Mind," and the final class, "The Recovery of the Constitution." All of the classes will be taught by Hillsdale College professors - the top teachers in their field and the same ones who instruct our students here on Hillsdale's campus.

Classes listed in Blue have been posted on YouTube and can be viewed by clicking on the link for each class below.

Hillsdale College

The U.S. Constitution

A Reader

Featuring 113 primary source documents, The U.S. Constitution: A Reader was developed for teaching the core course on the U.S. Constitution at Hillsdale College.

Divided into eleven sections with introductions by members of Hillsdale's Politics Department faculty, readings cover the principles of the American founding, the framing and structure of the Constitution, the secession crisis and the Civil War, the Progressive rejection of the Constitution, and the building of the administrative state based on Progressive principles.

Editorial Note: Just received a couple of copies of the reader.   Not just a short course pamphlet this; with the heft of 'Atlas Shrugged', it is well worth getting whether or not you choose to take the course.

About Hillsdale College

Hillsdale College is a private, coeducational, residential, liberal arts college with approximately 1,400 students. Founded in 1844, the College remains, in the words of its Articles of Association, "grateful to God for the inestimable blessings resulting from the presence of civil and religious liberty and intelligent piety" in our nation, and dedicated to "the diffusion of sound learning" that is "essential to the perpetuity of these blessings."

Hillsdale College is distinguished by its rigorous core curriculum, by its principled rejection of federal and state taxpayer funding, and by the pledge of its Board of Trustees to resists any attempts by the government to regulate its internal affairs.

Hillsdale College promotes the principles of liberty nationwide through its national speech digest, Imprimis, which has a monthly circulation of over 2 million, and through several outreach programs. In 2008, Hillsdale launched its Allan P. Kirby, Jr. Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship in Washington, D.C. The College will also launch the Hillsdale Graduate School of Statesmanship in fall 2012.

The bad news is last month some well intentioned political activist announced a cut-off date for signing up co-sponsors for Rep. Rose Marie Swanger's American Law's for American Courts (HB 2029) in an effort to inject some urgency into the effort.

What it resulted in was an interruption of the campaign to encourage those Representatives not yet signed on as co-sponsors to join with those Legislators who have already recognized the death by smothering threat to our Constitution.

The good news is there is no cut-off date for adding co-sponsors and we are once again asking your readers to contact their representatives and ask they join the battle.

There are only three Representatives from Bucks who are co-sponsors, Representatives Clymer, Petri and Quinn and we thank them for showing their colors.

But that leaves seven more Representatives who appear to be still standing on the sidelines as the battle for our existence as a free people is joined.

Lame rhetoric? I'm afraid not. If you do not understand the threat we face from 'peaceful' opportunists like CAIR, visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bucksafa11info/messages or contact me at bucksafa11@yahoo.com to schedule an Open the Koran presentation for you and your friends.

If you're ready to help, visit www.actforamerica.org and sign on as a chapter leader. It's free and the people there are friendly and helpful. Your help is needed. Every township, every neighborhood needs an Act! for America chapter leader.

But before you do anything, if your Pennsylvania Representative has not yet ssigned on as co-sponsor, urge her/him to do so and ask what is it that prevents him/her from doing so.

Help Pennsylvania be counted among those States that have shown the courage to face off with the enemies who have plainly stated their aim is to destroy our Nation. Our laws have worked just fine since colonial times. What is needed are politicians who respect them. And you know whose job it is to remind them of that.

Thanks,

John Ryan

We're going to Washington, D.C. to stand with Israel

From July 16 through July 18, 2012, Christians United for Israel will be holding its 7th Annual Washington Summit. We're going back to stand with Israel in our nation's capital. This year - more than ever - we need you to join us!

In the coming months, critical decisions are going to be made about Iran, Israel and the world. Finally, Washington is beginning to focus on the issue of a nuclear Iran. Many of our leaders want to confront this looming threat. But others want to keep kicking the can down the road. The debate is far from over.

  • We know that when thousands of CUFI activists arrive in DC and on Capitol Hill, we can change the conversation.
  • We can remind our leaders that a nuclear Iran is not only a threat to Israel, but to the US as well. And we can demonstrate to our elected officials that their constituents care enough about this issue to show up at their DC offices.
  • We know that we can create a sense of immediacy that's otherwise lacking.
  • We know that the more of us who show up and speak out -- the louder our voice and the greater our impact.

We stand at a critical juncture in history. Don't be silent! Don't miss your chance to make a difference! Don't pass up your opportunity to defend America and bless Israel!

Our leaders need to remember that we are watching them and we need to remember that God is watching us.

The time to speak out for Israel is now!
Please register today for CUFI's 2012 DC Summit.

John Stossel - May 2, 2012

The Union League of Philadelphia
Luncheon: 12:00 - 1:30PM

John Stossel

John Stossel's new book, "No, They Can't: Why Government Fails-but Individuals Succeed," argues: "There ought not to be a law." Stossel explains how politicians promise to solve problems by passing laws, but the laws invariably make our problems worse.

After years of obeying our parents, we are programmed to think that anytime there is a problem, whether it's companies going bankrupt or schools keeping kids stupid, government action is the way to solve it. Using his decades of reporting, Stossel tackles how those intuitive, knee-jerk reactions lead us astray.

Central planning sounds right. It feels good. But it has nothing to do with the realities of economics and science. There is nothing that government can do that we cannot do better as free individuals - and as groups of individuals, working together voluntarily, not at the point of a gun or under threat of a fine. Without big government, our possibilities are limitless.

This event is co-sponsored by The Union League of Philadelphia

Sam Rohrer for US Senate from Pennsylvania

Former Pennsylvania State Representative Sam Rohrer is running for the US Senate.

America needs men and women in Congress, who exemplify Sam Rohrer's character, principles, commitment to our Constitution, abilities, and faith. In the Republican Primary on April 24, 2012 the voters of Pennsylvania have a special opportunity to elect a freedom-fighting American for the US Senate. That man is Sam Rohrer.

Your vote for Sam can help him win the PA Senate seat that is currently held by a Progressive Democrat whose actions and voting record are in lock-step with the failing Obama administration and Congressional Democrats.

Sam Rohrer is a common-sense, constitutionally-grounded, public servant who believes that America is absolutely the greatest nation in history. Sam believes in the ability of Americans to take responsibility for themselves and their families without the Government's intrusion into every aspect of our lives. He is a strong advocate of the rights detailed in the U.S. Constitution such as the freedom of speech and the freedom of religion. Sam also strongly supports that "... the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." He believes that the intent of the 2nd Amendment is clear. Sam believes that this amendment guarantees a natural and individual right - not granted by the government nor to be compromised by the government. He believes that this right is necessary for free citizens to protect themselves, their families, and their property against all who may seek to inflict personal damage or harm.

During his terms as a leader in the Pennsylvania General Assembly and as a strongly fiscal conservative, he never voted for a tax increase. He believes that good jobs and a strong economy occur when government at all levels is limited and government does not compete with the private sector. He believes free enterprise and individual freedom are the greatest components of a strong economy and good jobs. He believes the current recession plaguing the American economy is primarily the result of failed and constitutionally unauthorized Congressional laws, Presidential policies and Executive orders. He believes that our economy can be turned around but only when Congress and the President commit themselves to less federal involvement, not more.

Mr. Rohrer believes that the 10th Amendment is one of the most important and most violated of the Bill of Rights. This amendment guarantees the proper relationship between the individual sovereign states and the federal government. It is the amendment that, when followed, ensures a limited federal governmentthat is authorized to perform core functions such as ensuring a sound currency and maintaining a strong military.

Sam is committed to vote against everything "big government" like ObamaCare. He has a business background and also served for 18 years in the PA General Assembly. He will not vote for tax increases and will bring to the Senate his commitment to continue to fight against all forms of political bribery including earmarks.

There are other candidates running for the PA Senate seat as Republicans but, two of them, were recently Democrats. The Republican-endorsed candidate, while one of these recent Democrats, voted for Barrack Obama in the 2010 Primary and voted for super liberal Democrat Joe Sestak against conservative Republican Senator Pat Toomey in the last PA Senate race. There is no one in this PA Senate race who has the level of character, principles, commitment, and is as Constitutionally-grounded as Sam Rohrer.

Join me in voting for Sam Rohrer for US Senate in the Republican Primary Election on Tuesday, April 24, 2012.

Patriots,

SAM ROHRER NEEDS YOUR HELP IN SPREADING THE WORD ABOUT HIS CANDIDACY FOR U.S. SENATE in the Republican Primary on April 24.

PLEASE PRINT the FAITH & FREEDOM LETTER attached addressed to Pastors and GIVE TO YOUR PASTOR (and other pastors in your area) THIS WEEK.   Let him know of Sam's Christian character and integrity in office.  Ask if there is any avenue by which he and/or you could let the church folks know of Sam (email, flyers in lobby, post a flyer on a bulletin board, church bulletin?).

I also gave our pastor the handout on the Life, Marriage, and Educaton policies Sam supported.  How about printing out enough copies of this handout for your Sunday School group and/or handing them out to your friends at your child's private school or in Bible study, Awanas, or prayer groups?

Know any homeschoolers?  The Michael Farris letter is specifically directed to homeschoolers, but also reminds us of Sam's  record as a Constitutionalist and the importance of this race and our involvement.

Please forward the message below with the attached flyers to all pro-life, people of faith and traditional values, Christian school parents, and homeschoolers you know.    Thank you for supporting this courageous champion of liberty,  Jaime

During his time in office, there was no greater champion of morality, the protection of life and the family, religious liberty, school choice, and homeschooling than SAM ROHRER.....Please read the attached letters of endorsement and information sheets and pass them on.  Also, watch the video clips in the links below to hear of Sam's stand on life, freedom, and faith in his own words.

Check out Sam's great website at www.rohrerforsenate.org for more information.  To support Sam's election effort, follow the links on his website to donate or volunteer your time (making calls from home, passing out literature, putting up signs, and/or passing out info at the polls).  Please spread the word to all your friends and family.

Resources on 2nd & 10th Amendments for Rohrer outreach to Gun and Fish & Game clubs, gunshops, Constitutionalists

To: Patriots for Sam!

     Please pass this on.....

With this great endorsement from Gunowners Of America (see attachment), gun owners and outdoorsmen, with their natural bent toward constitutional rights, are almost a given for Sam  IF THEY HEAR ABOUT HIM - - MANY STILL HAVE NOT.  NOW IS THE TIME to find out through friends or local gun shops when the local gun and F&G clubs have their monthly meetings.

Schedule now a visit to clubs who still have one meeting before April 24th; or convince a friend who is a member to speak for Sam at the club if you can't be there; or ask the president if he would mention Sam and pass the flyers around - they are usually very willing.  The attached letter of endorsement from Gunowners Of America is very convincing, focusing on 2nd amendment and 10th amendment.  Also, I would give him your contact info for any of his members that want to volunteer for Sam.

Following are a couple of good video clips from Sam's 2010 speeches to forward to people who care about these issues.   Ask the Gun/Fish & Game club officers if you can forward informational emails on SAM to their email network, then send the GOA letter, along with these video links.  Watch these yourself: Sam's GREAT responses will convince any gunowner that  he fundamentally understands and believes in the Second Amendment and the clips are short.

And don't forget the gun shops in your area:  drop off a Sam flyer to post there (Legislative checklist flyer is good too)

Voter ID bill is necessary

Linda A. Kerns practices law in Philadelphia and is cochair of the Southeastern Pennsylvania chapter of the Republican National Lawyers Association.

Last week, the Philadelphia Bar Association sent a legislative action alert e-mail urging members to immediately call their legislators to oppose the voter ID bill that was being considered in the state Senate. The e-mail included a convenient "quickly generate a letter now" button. With the click of a mouse, a form letter full of Democratic talking points against voter ID and sprinkled with references to Philadelphia as the birthplace of democracy was spewed out.

The Heritage Foundation The Case Against Obamacare: Health Care Policy Series for the 112th Congress

A Health Care Policy Series for the 112th Congress

Building on decades of Heritage research, The Case Against Obamacare: A Health Care Policy Series for the 112th Congress examines 15 key provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Each report:

  • Cites specific sections of the 2,700-page health care law
  • Provides detailed analysis of specific Obamacare provisions
  • Identifies key principles for a better way to reform health care

The unmistakable conclusion of this series is that Obamacare must be fully repealed. Congress cannot build sound market-based health care reform on the flawed foundation of this health care law. Until it can be repealed, Congress must employ its full powers authorized by the Constitution to:

Patriot Action Network

Patriot Action Network

We are the Tea Party

On Thursday, our staff finalized the most explosive resource that Grassfire has ever published. It's called 69 Obama Lies. It's a Fantastic Resource for this election year!

I believe 69 Obama Lies is the most thorough "vetting" of Obama's actual words in print. And I know it is going to outrage the Left because we actually hold Obama accountable for what he said!

69 Obama Lies

Dear Patriot,

About six weeks ago, our staff set out with the goal of putting the "truth detector" to what Obama has actually said. What we realized is Obama has lied so pervasively and thoroughly that even our staff had forgotten many of his most outrageous fibs! That's when we realized we had to create a written record of the Obama Lies.

When we finished, we had created a 122-page, 20,000-word dossier that documents a disturbing cross-section of fibs, falsehoods, and fabrications that our President has used to win votes while implementing his radical agenda. Go here to see a larger image of the cover and the full list of 69 Obama Lies we have documented:

http://www.grassfire.com/24098/offer.asp?Ref_ID=600013

+ + The Lies that got Obama elected...

69 Obama Lies is organized in six sections that cover everything from the lies Obama has told about himself (we call these "ObamaLies"), to his campaign lies, his lies about government and taxes, ObamaCare and domestic and foreign policy.

They are all here -- and footnoted so you will have complete documentation. We start with the ObamaLies -- his denial of Rev. Wright.... the "normalcy" of his church... the Bill Ayers lie... the ACORN lie... and Obama's "Brother's Keeper" lie which exposes his Marxist core.

Let's be clear -- it was these  "ObamaLies" along with his campaign lies that got Obama elected in the first place. Obama's ability to cloak his real beliefs and his real associations (with the willing help of the liberal media) kept his campaign moving forward.

But we don't stop there....

+ + Obama's "Big Government" Lies

69 Obama Lies also tracks the BIG LIE that Obama sold to the American people just after Inauguration Day -- that massive deficit spending would "create and save" jobs and restore the economy.

It was all a LIE. We know that now. But it is vitally important to have the facts laid out in an orderly fashion. That's precisely what 69 Obama Lies does. We expose the full range of Obama's Big Government lies...

The "Create Or Save Jobs" Lie...

The Stimulus Law is Working" Lie...

The "I'll Cut The Deficit" Lie...

The "Government Motors" Lie...

The "Cash for Clunkers" Lie...

The "Rich Pay Less In Taxes" Lie...

+ + Border Lies, ObamaCare Lies... Energy Lies...

69 Obama Lies literally covers every aspect of Obama's presidency -- from his lies about border security and immigration to his lies about gas prices and green jobs.

We saved a whole section for Obama's signature legislative "achievement" -- ObamaCare. We've identified a Baker's Dozen of fibs Obama told just to get ObamaCare passed.

And please note that each of the 69 Obama Lies is like a mini research report -- clearly laying out the specific Obama lie and fully documenting our sources.

You get the actual words of Obama set against the truth -- the LIE next to the reality check. Go here to request your copies and see the complete list of 69 Lies:

http://www.grassfire.com/24098/offer.asp?Ref_ID=600013

+ + 69 Obama Lies Begins Shipping In Two Weeks!

If you can help Grassfire with a contribution of ANY AMOUNT (even a few dollars to cover printing and shipping), we'll send you TWO COPIES of "69 Obama Lies" -- one to keep and one to share with a friend.

We have asked the printer to rush the first printing of 69 Obama Lies so we can get this resource into our team members' hands as quickly as possible.

As a result, we expect to begin shipping 69 Obama Lies the week of April 23.

In order to be included in our first shipment, please let me
hear from you as soon as
possible. Go here to request your two copies:

http://www.grassfire.com/24098/offer.asp?Ref_ID=600013

I truly believe 69 Obama Lies is the most thorough and most important resource Grassfire has ever created. And I want to put it in the hands of every Grassfire team member.

Please take a moment to order your two copies of 69 Obama Lies today, and thanks for the stand you are taking.

Steve Elliott

Grassfire Nation

P.S. As I write, the manuscript is going to the printer and we expect to begin shipping 69 Obama Lies the week of April 23. The first print run of our last resource quickly sold out.  Please go here to see the complete list of 69 Obama Lies and to order your copies:

Patriots, this booklet will assist in setting the record straight with swing voters, moderates, and even Democrats! This is the best resource I have seen to prove the lies from Obama - out of his own mouth- versus the truth or facts. This is the resource of this 2012 Presidential election year.

Want Obama out? Then obtain multiple copies of this booklet and share with friends, neighbors, co-workers, church family, and your tea party. To win we must be equipped! This is the best weapon for your arsenal of resources to beat Obama!

Five Republicans battle in April primary to oppose Sen. Casey in fall

April 8, 2012 4:44 pm
1/7
U.S. Senator Bob Casey

WASHINGTON -- Everyone, it seems, wants Bob Casey's job.

Who wouldn't? The U.S. senator from Pennsylvania has one of Washington's most sought-after offices outside the White House.

His third-floor space in the Russell Senate Office Building was once occupied by the young Sen. John F. Kennedy. Four 8-by-10 shots on the wall show that Mr. Kennedy's desk was in the spot now reserved for office visitors who perch on a yellow couch to meet with Mr. Casey.

The office space, though, doesn't go with the job. Offices are assigned by seniority. Mr. Casey got the coveted spot when its prior occupant, Sen. Judd Gregg, R-N.H., took over Joe Biden's office when the Delaware senator became vice president.

That's something Steve Welch, Tom Smith, Sam Rohrer, Marc Scaringi, David Christian and Joe Vodvarka ought to know.

The five Republicans and one Democrat -- Mr. Vodvarka -- are on the ballot to unseat the one-term U.S. senator from Scranton. John Kensinger wants a shot, too. The Bedford County pharmacist is running as a write-in candidate after failing to collect enough signatures to appear on the Republican primary ballot.

Recent polls show no clear frontrunner in the Republican contest, but indicate that Mr. Casey would beat any of them if the general election were held today.

Liberal super-PAC targets Reps. Lungren, Fitzpatrick

By Cameron Joseph - 04/04/12

A liberal super-PAC is gearing up to defeat Reps. Dan Lungren (R-Calif.) and Mike Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.), two vulnerable Republicans.

CREDO super-PAC will will set up offices and hire four full-time staffers in each district.

Lungren faces a tough race against Dr. Ami Bera, a physician, while Fitzpatrick is being challenged by attorney Kathy Boockvar. Both are top Democratic targets.

The group plans to raise and spend $3 million in total against 10 Republicans, and has already announced it will target GOP Reps. Steve King (Iowa), Joe Walsh (Ill.), Allen West (Fla.), Frank Guinta (N.H.) and Chip Cravaack (Minn.), all of whom they claim are beholden to the Tea Party and out of step with their districts.

RedState

RedState Morning Briefing

For April 12, 2012

1. Democrats Now Say They Never Said 'War Against Women'?

If you went to bed oblivious of the news last night, there was a mini-bruhaha over a comment Hilary Rosen, the former head of the RIAA and a DNC Advisor, made to Anderson Cooper on AC360 last night. I was on AC360 with both Hilary and Paul Begala.

Hillary said that Ann Romney, a mother of five sons who has had breast cancer and MS, had "actually never worked a day in her life." Ann Romney made her debut on twitter to take issue with the remark. The White House and Obama campaign were quick to distance themselves and say Hilary should offer an apology.

For what it's worth, in context Hilary was talking about the workforce and recession and I don't think she meant to insult stay at home moms or Mrs. Romney. On Twitter, Hilary explained she was taking issue with Mitt Romney using Ann Romney as his expert on women and Ann Romney did not work both a full time job and raise the five boys concurrently.

But more than that, I actually never even heard her make the remark originally because I was still dwelling on how Hilary had started her statement. Hilary said the Democrats had actually never used the phrase "War on Women," and that it was a Republican invention. I turned on twitter and saw all the outrage and literally said out loud, "How'd I miss that?"

Saying the Democrats had never coined the "war on women" terminology threw me for a loop.

2. Fables Of A Reality Based Community

Did you hear the one about the former radical Christian who turned into a gay-loving, atheist abortion doctor? Not if you aren't capable of stifling the natural biological gag reflex that prevents the human animal from swallowing turd-piles. You'd have to accomplish this remarkable feat for a long enough time to read Frank Bruni's latest contribution to journalistic integrity over at the New York Times.

Well imagine the coincidence! This former right-wing troglodyte of all backwardation took time out of his busy day snuffing inconvenient human lives at his abortuary to thank Frank Bruni and to ask his forgiveness. The poor guy couldn't help it. He grew up in the South...

3. The Buffett Rule Obfuscates the Real Debt Crisis

Over the past few weeks, Obama has exhibited the intensity of a Navy SEAL in his execution of class warfare. He is trying to convince everyone that those who earn 17% of Adjusted Gross Income, yet pay 36.7% of federal income taxes don't pay anything, while those who pay little or no taxes shoulder the entire tax burden. Obama will continue to toss out misinformation throughout the campaign about all these billionaires that supposedly pay little in taxes.

4. I Have No Sympathy for Gary Stein

Gary Stein is an active duty Marine who has taken to Facebook to complain about President Obama. He's apparently come to RedState too, including ending one post with "NoBama 2012."

As you can see by the comments he didn't get the reception here that he thought he'd get.

I'm a bit appalled by the conservatives who have decided to rally around this guy. Were he doing this to George W. Bush, a great many people on the right now supporting him would be calling for a court-martial. The irony, of course, is that many on the left now calling for him to be disciplined would have been perfectly okay with him going after Bush. They would have treated him as a celebrity.

Agree wholeheartedly that "liberalism" is the only political philosophy any sane person could possibly hold.

Fulminate at length against the lunatics who oppose "liberalism": the scroungers, the malcontents, the life-haters, the losers, the crypto-Communists, the eco-fascists. Say: "I'm with you all the way, buddy. The sooner Big Government butts out of our lives, the better we'll all be..."

Quietly enjoy the liberal's growing discomfort as he realizes your views are diametrically opposed to his own. Then say: "Oh. You're that kind of liberal. I thought you meant you were a liberal in its original, true, classic, libertarian sense. Before it got hijacked by the Left..."

Death to Churches: Christian Holidays in the Islamic World   Apr 11, 2012 11:17 am

While the mainstream media, government officials and so on try to portray these attacks as products of poverty, the fact is, wherever there are significant numbers of Muslims, churches are under siege.

Last Sunday, many Christians around the world celebrated Easter, taking for granted that they can congregate and worship in peace. Not so in the Islamic world, where top religious officials call for the destruction of churches, Christian holidays celebrated in church are increasingly a time of death and destruction, and a time of terror.

Iran's Strategy   Apr 10, 2012 02:56 pm

For centuries, the dilemma facing Iran (and before it, Persia) has been guaranteeing national survival and autonomy in the face of stronger regional powers like Ottoman Turkey and the Russian Empire. Though always weaker than these larger empires, Iran survived for three reasons: geography, resources and diplomacy. Iran's size and mountainous terrain made military forays into the country difficult and dangerous. Iran also was able to field sufficient force to deter attacks while permitting occasional assertions of power. At the same time, Tehran engaged in clever diplomatic efforts, playing threatening powers off against each other.

Moses was a Muslim who led Palestinian Muslims out of Egypt and liberated Palestine
Moses was a Muslim who led Palestinian Muslims out of Egypt and liberated Palestine

Moses was a Muslim who led Palestinian Muslims out of Egypt - this is no joke - they really believe it.

This conversation was a great help to me in understanding the Muslim Arab mindset and culture.  Facts are not really so important to them.  They can be made up or even changed as needed.  You don't need to take my word for it.  Go to YouTube and search for this: "Moses was a Muslim who led Palestinian Muslims out of Egypt."

This is the new replacement theology.  The idea is not only Holocaust denial of the sort heard from the leaders of the Islamic regime in Iran.  They now deny (or co-opt) all the foundational points of Jewish history.  Their strategy is to question or outright deny the most basic historical facts - like claiming that the Jews are not the direct descendants and surviving remnant of the children of Israel who were led out of Egypt by Moses and led into the land under Joshua.

The Arabs can believe whatever they like - as long as they know that they can't overrun us.  If they could they would.

The Red Lorelei of Gunter Grass
A few days after September 11 I saw a quote from Gunter Grass on a Manhattan lamppost. In those dark days, the lampposts and walls that weren't covered in missing persons posters were decorated with the hysterical pamphleteering of the left urging us to blame ourselves for the attacks. The quote has long since been lost to memory, buried under smoke and ash, a green parrot perched on an empty staircase and crowds thronging on foot across the bridge.

The quote itself, like the latest Grassian screed, does not matter. Grass, like Gandhi and King, was one of the favorite go-to guys for the left's sticky sheets of paper. When you want to write a suicide note, then you reach for a line from Sylvia Plath or Emily Dickinson, but when you want to write a national or civilizational suicide note, there's always Gunter Grass.

As a writer, Gunter Grass is a blacksmith, hammering together graceless and shapeless lumps that aren't good for much except hitting people over the head. Take his latest masterpiece which has for a brief shining moment gotten people outside Germany and Sweden to mention his name in conversation. You don't have to know German to recognize that, "Es ist das behauptete Recht auf den Erstschlag der das von einem Maulhelden unterjochte" is not exactly Die Lorelei. In a fitting irony the author of the Tin Drum has a tin ear.

Like Die Lorelei's protagonist, Gunter Grass writes about being filled with unnameable emotions, but instead of seeing water nymphs combing their hair while ship captains ram their boats into the rocks, Grass is attempting to impress audiences with his bold struggle against Jewish accusations of bigotry to forewarn us about the threat of the Jewish state.

Netanyahu does not look much like a Rhine Maiden, but there is something about the Jewish state that drives European leftists to crash their ships against the rocks more reliably than any water nymph. No sooner does Israel buy a German submarine, than Gunter Grass leaves off staring at the Rhine Maidens to write a screed denouncing the Jews and their submarines.

Grass is a worse poet than Hitler was a painter and in an asymmetrical competition, the Fuhrer would have to edge out Gunter. But as writers they are both equally bad. "Was Gesagt Werden Muss" is a sort of compressed Mein Kampf, chronicling Gunter Grass' own Kampf in a more concise form. It reeks of the same stylistic inadequacies, the stench of self-righteousness mingled with self-pity. Like Hitler's postcard paintings, it is exactly the sort of tacky art that a Nazi would make.

Buffett Rule 101

ObaaammmmaaaaPresident Obama traveled to Florida yesterday to distract the nation from its real problems by laying out his case for the Buffett Rule, a plan to drastically raise taxes on successful Americans and small businesses. The core of his argument is that the rich aren't paying their fair share. It makes for great populist rhetoric, especially when families are hurting and angry under today's high unemployment, but the result is terrible policy. Worse, it's a distraction from the big issues facing the nation, like the deficit, the economy, jobs, gas prices, health care, and on and on, none of which are addressed by the President's proposals, and none of which he wants to talk about.

Will the President's tax hike at least tackle the country's fiscal problems? No, it won't.

Obama's two Kenyan birth certificates managed and covered up with our tax money

Apr 11, 2012 06:13 am | Coach Collins

 By George Spelvin, staff writer

A blockbuster youtube.com video I have viewed  (which has since been erased by persons unknown) presents evidence of two Kenyan birth certificates for  Barack Hussein Obama. It also suggests at least $35 million of U.S. taxpayer dollars in stimulus funding (American Recovery & Reinvestment Act) in 2008 and 2009 were sent to Kenya in the guise of AIDS vaccine dollars in spite of the fact that Merck & Co. the maker of the drug being funded had halted clinical trials of MRK-Ad5  before the payments were made.

"To Pay Back My Homeys" is a red caption the video producer draped over documents showing The Kenyatta National Hospital, which was formerly King George VI Hospital, and 4 other Sub Saharan African hospitals received taxpayer dollars to "help train local scientists, technicians, and counselors at these facilities."  What's more, the video shows a picture of Obama's Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius ... American Minute April 10

By Bill Federer, staff writer

Millions of people in 118 countries are helped by The Salvation Army, founded by William Booth, who was born APRIL 10, 1829.
William and Catherine Booth began by ministering to the poor, drunk and outcast on the dirty and dangerous streets of London's east side.
They fought to end sex-trafficking and teenage prostitution in England.
Catherine Booth said:
"I felt as though I must go and walk the streets and besiege the dens where these hellish iniquities are going on. To keep quiet seemed like being a traitor to humanity."
In 30 years, the number of the Salvation Army rescue homes grew from one in Whitechapel to 117 homes around the world.
With the help of Josephine Butler, the Salvation Army worked to pass England's Criminal Law Amendment Act in 1885, raising the age of consent, which before was only 13 years of age.

Gallup tries but can't get its happy face to stick to Obama's reelection chances

Apr 10, 2012 02:24 pm | Coach Collins

By Kevin "Coach" Collins

At 46% approval, Gallup's new numbers show Barack Obama is still under the 50% he needs for reelection.  With the exception of Harry Truman no president has been reelected with a sub 50% approval rating. The rest of Gallup's message holds more bad news for Obama.

He hasn't averaged 50% approval for a full month since last May when we killed bin Laden.  His previous full month of 50% approval was February 2010.

Gallup reports the much talked about BIG lead Obama has with women really isn't very big at all. In 2008 Obama won women 56/43. Al Gore and John Kerry both won women (with 54% and 51% respectively) and both lost anyway.

Today Gallup says Obama's approval with women is at 49%; off 7 points since 2008.

In 2008 Obama won 18 - 29 year olds 66/31; they now approve of Obama at just a 54% ... Continue Reading:Gallup tries but can't get its happy face to stick to Obama's reelection chances

Here are some real 'Reagan Rules' for Obama

By James Pethokoukis

April 11, 2012

Apparently President Obama is joking that he's willing to change the name of the Buffett Rule to the Reagan Rule if that's what it takes to get it through Congress. But there are already so many Reagan rules - and Obama is following none of them. Here are few Reagan Rules the president would be wise to follow:

1. Blame government, not business.

Reagan: "The people have not created this disaster in our economy; the federal government has. It has overspent, overestimated, and over regulated. It has failed to deliver services within the revenues it should be allowed to raise from taxes ... At the same time, the federal government has cynically told us that high taxes on business will in some way "solve" the problem and allow the average taxpayer to pay less. Well, business is not a taxpayer, it is a tax collector. Business has to pass its tax burden on to the customer as part of the cost of doing business. You and I pay the taxes imposed on business every time we go to the store. Only people pay taxes and it is political demagoguery or economic illiteracy to try and tell us otherwise."

COUNTDOWN TO VICTORY: 209 DAYS TO THE 2012 ELECTIONS

Obama's Misleading Tirade On Taxes

Barack Obama's speech yesterday on the Buffett rule was typical of his more recent campaign speeches -- misleading, devoid of policy and little more than an anti-GOP tirade. Gone was the inspirational rhetoric about hope and change. Obama knows he can't play those cards again. So it's slash and burn, and he's back to blaming Bush. Buckle up -- it's going to be a rough ride!

There's so much to expose, but I will limit myself to just one aspect of the president's remarks. Here's how Obama grossly distorted the Bush tax cuts:

"If we would just convert these investments that we're making throughout government in education, research and healthcare ... into tax cuts, especially for the wealthy, then somehow the economy is going to grow stronger. That's the theory.

"Here is the news. We tried this for eight years before I took office. We tried it. It is not like we did not try it. At the beginning of the last decade, the wealthiest Americans got two huge tax cuts, in 2001 and 2003. ... We were told the same thing we're being told now -- this is going to lead to faster job growth, it's going to lead to greater prosperity for everybody. Guess what? It didn't."

Here are the facts that Obama hopes American voters don't learn.

  • What Obama calls "investments" is really big government spending. He wants more money for more bottomless pits like the failed solar boondoggle Solyndra because he thinks government knows how to allocate research money better than the free market. This is a fundamental difference between the socialist left and the free enterprise right.
  • Conservatives believe that when people are allowed to keep more of their own money, they will spend it more efficiently than big government. That's called the free market. Consumer spending creates jobs and prosperity. Liberals believe government is the fount from which all blessings flow.
  • All taxpayers benefitted from the across-the-board Bush tax cuts -- not just the wealthy. In fact, Bush cut the bottom tax rate from 15% to 10%. He doubled the per child tax credit from $500 to $1,000. Many liberals want to repeal these tax cuts, which would result in a huge tax increase on low-income families.
  • Believe it or not, the 2007 deficit was $160 billion. That's a lot of money, but it is a pittance compared to what has happened since. Last year the deficit was $1,300 billion. Obama has added more to the national debt in three years than Bush did in eight. Yet the unemployment rate was lower when Bush left office in January 2009 than it is today after three years of Obama's "investments."
  • Obama is waging class warfare. He supports higher taxes while chanting "fairness." But already the top one percent of earners pays approximately 40% of all income taxes. The top 10% pays approximately 70% of all income taxes. And yet Obama insists the rich somehow are not paying "their fair share."
  • Obama can say all he wants about fairness, but only 4% of likely voters think the top tax rate should be 40% or more, which is what Obama wants and what will likely happen if he is reelected in 209 days.

Obama Can Be Defeated

The left-wing media have been running story after story about Obama's alleged inevitability and the weakness of the Republican Party. Frequently they support their assertions with polling data showing Obama's numbers up significantly over the presumed GOP nominee Mitt Romney. Don't believe it!

While much of the media's spin is designed to promote Obama and the left's worldview, I believe much of it is also aimed at conservatives. Not that the liberal media is trying to convert you, so much as it wants to demoralize you and discourage you from voting.

For example, take the latest ABC News/Washington Post, which found Obama leading Romney by 8 points -- 51%-to-43%. That's depressing, isn't it? If the election is going to be such a blowout, why bother? That's exactly what the liberal media would love for you to think.

When it comes to polling, there are some important caveats to keep in mind. First, they are only snapshots in time. The election isn't tomorrow -- it's 209 days from now and a lot can happen to change the political landscape. Second, most Americans aren't fully tuned in yet and they usually don't tune in until after Labor Day. So Obama is benefitting somewhat from better name recognition. Third, polling samples -- or who is polled -- make a big difference.

"Adults" -- some of whom may not even be registered to vote -- poll more liberally than registered voters. And registered voters poll more liberally than likely voters. ABC News/Washington Post polled just over 1,100 adults. Moreover, the sample heavily favored Democrats. As our friends at The Weekly Standard noted, Democrats had a seven point advantage at the polls in the 2008 elections. In this poll, Democrats were oversampled by 11 points!

For comparison, the two most recent polls of likely voters -- Bloomberg and Rasmussen -- have the race tied at 47% and 45% each.

Obama can be, must be and, with your help, will be defeated.

ObamaCare Still Unpopular

Here's another reason why Obama should be worried about his reelection prospects: ObamaCare remains deeply unpopular. Consider these findings from a recent poll conducted for Investor's Business Daily:

  • Only 22% of Americans support ObamaCare and want the Supreme Court to uphold the law.
  • 30% want the individual mandate declared unconstitutional.
  • 37% want the entire law struck down.
  • Even among Democrats, 38% want the mandate struck down and 12% want the entire law overturned. That's 50% of Obama's own party that wants part or all of ObamaCare tossed.

Up, Up And Away!

The national average for a gallon of gasoline is up to $3.92 a gallon, and many folks across the country are paying far more. Around our office, prices are easily 30 cents a gallon higher.

Since Obama took office, the price of gas has taken off. In fact, if you can believe it, gas prices have gone up more under Obama than they did under Jimmy Carter! As of Monday, gas prices had increased 103.79% under Obama, compared to 103.77% under Carter.

How can that be? Last month Obama went to Cushing, Oklahoma, to tout his support for the oil industry. He even said, "We are drilling all over the place." The fact is new oil wells and leases have decreased on federal lands during Obama's time in office.

As I have written before, the oil markets are forward looking. They see an administration that is anti-energy and that has aggressively restricted drilling and new leases. As a result, the markets are predicting less supply will be available in the future. And less supply means higher prices.

The solution to your pain at the pump now is the same as it was in 1980. We must fire Barack Obama just as we fired Jimmy Carter!

Astronauts Condemn NASA's Environmental Extremism

The left's war on fossil fuels stems from its belief that global warming is caused by your car. One NASA scientist in particular, Dr. James Hansen, has been leading the global warming jihad for years and is a favorite progressive voice of the liberal elites.

But dozens of former NASA officials have had enough. They recently sent a letter to Administrator Charles Bolden blasting NASA's "unbridled advocacy" and "extreme position" on climate change. And they demanded he rein in the global warming alarmism.

According to the Washington Examiner, the letter was signed by "seven Apollo astronauts, a deputy associate administrator, several scientists, and even the deputy director of the space shuttle program."

Fighting the last war

Ann Coulter

In a fast-changing world, a common mistake is to keep fighting the last war.

For example, why would Republicans support sending more troops to Afghanistan, when that war was long over, or helping topple Moammar Gadhafi, who had become an ally in the war on terrorism? Some Republicans seem to support all military deployments just out of habit.

For years after the 9/11 terrorist attack on America, Democrats hysterically bemoaned any military action, especially in Iraq. They claimed to have many precious objections, but the truth was, they thought we deserved the attack - or at best, both sides were at fault.

So when it came to Obama's pointlessly sending more troops to Afghanistan or foolishly intervening in Libya, some Republicans' first instinct was to demand muscular American military action, forgetting that we are the party that cares about American national security and does not fling troops around the globe just to look tough, as the Democrats do.

Congress Should Not Authorize States to Expand Collection of Taxes on Internet and Mail Order Sales

By David Addington

Abstract: The U.S. Supreme Court's landmark 1992 decision in Quill Corporation v. North Dakota protects out-of-state businesses in the Internet era from overreaching by revenue-hungry states. The Court's decision prevents a state from forcing an out-of-state business to serve as the state's sales tax collector if the business has no physical presence in the state and simply takes sales orders by Internet, catalog, or telephone. Congress has under consideration legislation (S. 1832) to overturn the Quill Corporation decision. To support a strong national economy and encourage fiscal responsibility among the states, Congress should reject the legislation.

Congress has under consideration legislation (S. 1832 of the 112th Congress) to allow states to require out-of-state businesses that have no connection to the state, other than taking orders over the Internet, by mail, or by telephone from in-state customers and sending the ordered goods by common carrier or U.S. mail, to become sales tax collection agents for the states. Enactment of such legislation would increase the amount of tax dollars millions of Americans pay, encourage states to increase the size and scope of their governments, favor some states over others in granting federal authority, and discourage free-market competition in interstate commerce. Accordingly, Congress should not enact the legislation.

Red Tape Rising: Obama-Era Regulation at the Three-Year Mark

The regulatory burden on Americans continued to increase throughout 2011, with 32 new major regulations that increase regulatory burdens imposed at a cost of almost $10 billion annually. This regulatory excess is evident in lackluster job creation and anemic economic growth.

Charles Murray is the longtime American Enterprise Institute fellow and author of several important and controversial books, perhaps none more so than this year's Coming Apart: The State of White America, 1960-2010. Murray sat down to discuss his new book for the current installment of Uncommon Knowledge with Peter Robinson. Through our arrangement with the Hoover Institution, we are pleased to present this installment of the program in its entirety. Please check it out.

How Should Republicans Respond to the Buffett Ploy?

Posted: 11 Apr 2012 09:54 AM PDT

(John Hinderaker)

It appears that President Obama will make the "Buffett Rule" a centerpiece of his re-election campaign. This is about the dumbest issue since Quemoy and Matsu, two islands that were never heard of before or since, briefly dominated the 1960 presidential campaign. As Obama admits, the Buffett plan is purely symbolic, advocated for the sake of "fairness" even though it will raise hardly any revenue.

So far, Republicans have reacted as you would expect. They have taken the principled position that the Buffett Rule is a bad idea because it would destroy jobs. That is true, of course, but it may not be not good politics to counter a purely symbolic proposal with a practical answer. And, while debating the Buffett Rule may offer an opportunity to educate the public on the realities of federal taxation-i.e., the fact that high-income Americans pay vastly more than their fair share of federal taxes-it would be more advantageous to have that same debate over the Democrats' other proposals for broader-based tax increases.

From His Primer for Obama

Posted: 11 Apr 2012 08:31 AM PDT

(Scott Johnson)

If you overlooked Richard Epstein's primer for Obama, or didn't make it all the way to the end, you missed this:

[Obama's] insistence that his program will open up opportunities for all Americans across the board is a bit of idle self-promotion in the face of the deadly combination of high unemployment rates and shrinking labor-market participation that his policies have wrought. His plea to restore the dignity of the middle class is code for his nonstop program of strengthening the hand of labor unions whose regressive and exclusionary policies undermine job opportunities for the very individuals Obama purports to hold closest to his heart.

He compounds these errors by insisting that the enormous contributions of those at the top of the income scale are futile exercises in "trickle down" economics, without bothering to note the literally thousands of good jobs created by the new technologies and businesses introduced by the billionaire entrepreneurs whom he castigates at every turn. His final insult is to denounce those who pay the bulk of the nation's tax revenues as free riders on those who take much from it. Right now, the top one percent that garners roughly 20 percent of the income pays about 40 percent of the taxes. But in our current political culture, it receives only a small fraction of the particularized goods that constitute the bulk of the entitlement budget.

Yet Obama, without argument, always treats the current social distribution of burdens as the legitimate baseline. Every new increase of burdens on the rich is legitimate. Any effort to undo them is not. But it is not possible to cut the taxes on those who at present pay no taxes nor to cut benefits on those who at present receive no benefits.

This is a great primer for Obama, but there is a problem with the concept. You can't teach somebody who doesn't want to learn, or who thinks he knows it all, or who has something else entirely in mind.

Another Reason to Abolish the Dept. of Homeland Security

When you hear the words "Department of Homeland Security," you probably think of those lovely postal workers uniformed officers who whisk you quickly and smoothly through airport security.  But you'd be wrong.  Turns out DHS also sees itself as a civil rights agency with a mandate to save the planet from environmental catastrophe.

In February DHS published a nine-page "Environmental Justice Strategy," which leads off with this explanation:

A basketball for the ages

One of President Obama's most prominent and least attractive qualities is his vanity. It almost disposes of the speculation that Obama is a Muslim. The man can't be a Muslim; he worships himself.

In the title of the November 2010 Weekly Standard cover story, Jonathan Last called Obama "The American Narcissus" and, as Last demonstrated, Obama has earned the title. The evidence compiled by Last was voluminous, if not overwhelming.

The Foundation

"The aim of every political constitution is, or ought to be, first to obtain for rulers men who possess most wisdom to discern, and most virtue to pursue, the common good of the society; and in the next place, to take the most effectual precautions for keeping them virtuous whilst they continue to hold their public trust." --James Madison

Editorial Exegesis

Rick Santorum exits the race

"Rick Santorum dropped out of the Republican Presidential race Tuesday, having enhanced his political reputation and forced Mitt Romney to become a better candidate. Not bad for someone who few beyond his own family gave much of a chance of getting past Iowa, much less to April. Mr. Santorum outlasted everyone who was thought to be Mr. Romney's main competition to become the chief conservative alternative. He did so in large part with a forthright appeal to religious conservatives that was both a strength and weakness. ... Mr. Santorum nonetheless deserves credit for making Mr. Romney lift his performance and improve his platform. Mr. Santorum's overarching theme of restoring American freedom had more resonance than Mr. Romney's recitation of his resume, and the likely GOP nominee has since picked up some of Mr. Santorum's words if not the music. The Pennsylvanian was also by far the most effective Republican critic of RomneyCare. When he stood on stage in a debate and took apart the Massachusetts health law as a prototype for ObamaCare, Mr. Romney realized he couldn't coast to the nomination. That's when the former Massachusetts Governor came out with his own tax cut and tax reform plan to appeal to economic conservatives. ... Among the major candidates, Mr. Santorum ran the least negative campaign, and by leaving now he will let Mr. Romney focus his attention and monetary resources on Mr. Obama. Mr. Santorum also departs before the April 24 Pennsylvania primary, where a defeat in his home state would have tarnished his 2012 achievement. There are no consolation prizes in Presidential politics, but if Mr. Romney does win in November, Mr. Santorum's strong run will be part of the victory story." --The Wall Street Journal

"Santorum's withdrawal from the campaign was a paradox: He had done too well to stay in any longer. ... It is possible that no serious candidate for President ever did more with less -- less personality, less money, a more narrow message -- than Santorum. ... Here's where I think the campaign between Romney and Obama will be decided: Who has the ability to guide the nation through the next coming worldwide economic downturn. If Americans think that class warfare is the right approach, then Barack Obama will be re-elected. If, on the other hand, Americans believe that expanding opportunities to succeed is the best way forward, then Mitt Romney will be sworn in on January 20, 2013. In mid-April, it's too close to call." --columnist Rich Galen

"Romney needs to make the case that current policy ... is leading to a crash in which government will fail to keep its promises. He needs to argue that his 'opportunity society' means vibrant economic growth that can provide, in ways that can't be precisely predicted, opportunities in which young people can find work that draws on their special talents and interests. Obama's policies, in contrast, treat individuals as just one cog in a very large machine, designed by supposed experts who don't seem to know what they're doing. ... Romney, potentially strong with the affluent, needs to figure out how to get through to the young." --political analyst Michael Barone

"Sixty-one percent of debt issued by the Treasury is bought by the Federal Reserve -- which is to say the left hand of the U.S. Government is lending money to the right hand of the US Government. ... Nonetheless, in a land where every mewling babe in the American nursery is born with a debt burden of just under $200,000, the president brags that only his party is 'compassionate' to have no plan whatsoever even to attempt to do anything about this, no way, no how, not now, not ever." --columnist Mark Steyn

"I am instinctively skeptical whenever self-proclaimed environmentalists start pontificating. In part, this is because everyone has an incentive to exaggerate. The business community will always say that a new regulation imposes astronomically high costs, while environmentalists will claim minimal costs and say that thousands of premature deaths will be averted. Since exaggeration is omnipresent in Washington, that's not what really bothers me. My main problem with environmentalists is that they want to use so-called green issues to give government more power. And if you oppose them, you're an evil person." --Cato Institute's Daniel J. Mitchell

"Last week, President Obama warned that if the Supreme Court stops Congress from forcing Americans to buy government-approved health insurance, it will be imposing restrictions on federal power of a sort not seen since the early 1930s, the late 1920s, 1905 or 1789. ... The main point is that Republicans, who want the court to overturn the health insurance mandate, are trying to undo the New Deal. Obama made a similar claim regarding the House Budget Committee's recently unveiled fiscal plan, which he called 'thinly veiled social Darwinism,' 'an attempt to impose a radical vision on our country' and 'antithetical to our entire history.' In truth, however, neither the constitutional constraints nor the budgetary tinkering advocated by the Republicans would make the federal government any smaller than it is now. I wish they were half as radical as the president portrays them." --columnist Jacob Sullum

The Demo-gogues

The BIG Lies: "So these investments -- in things like education and research and health care -- they haven't been made as some grand scheme to redistribute wealth from one group to another. This is not some socialist dream." --Barack Obama (For the record, here's what he had to say in 2008: "I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody.")

"I have never been somebody who believes government can or should try to solve every problem." --Barack Obama

"I'm a firm believer that whether you're a Democrat or a Republican, that you're a patriot, you care about this country, you love this country. And so I'm not somebody who, when we're in a political contest, suggests somehow that one side or the other has a monopoly on love of country. ... [M]y vision ... the Democratic vision is one that says that free market is the key to economic growth; that we don't need to build government just for the sake of expanding its reach." --Barack Obama

Envy-based politics: "You know, some of the people who, I guess, believe that the way to get this economy going is reduce taxes on the wealthiest people make that argument, but there's no class warfare involved. It's a question simply of fairness. And the bottom line is most wealthy people I talk to say yes, I shouldn't pay a lower rate than somebody who's my secretary. Some ... say I don't want to pay any taxes. But they're a small group, they have disproportionate influence, obviously, with the Super PACs." --Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY)

Pitiful attack: "[W]hat's really bothersome to me ... is that it almost seems like my Republican colleagues in Congress and Mitt Romney are rooting for economic failure. I mean, they've been hyper-focused on one job, Barack Obama's, for really the last two years. And we all need to be pulling together to focus on moving the economy forward for the middle class and for working families." --DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL)

Global warmism: "It's your money or your life. We are either going to dedicate ourselves to a cleaner, more livable planet and accept the initial investment necessary or we're going to pay a heavier price in terms of loss of human life, damage and costs associated with it." --Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) arguing that we should all drive hybrid cars to save the planet in response to the recent tornadoes around Dallas, TX. (Interesting that he used the language of a stick-up to advocate leftist climate policies...)

Dezinformatsia

Race bait: "[L]let's don't forget that race will be a factor in this presidential campaign. Yes, the country can feel good about [the fact] we elected a person of color, which I did not expect to see in my lifetime, but race will be a factor in this." --Dan Rather, who works for some backwater cable channel

"Historically, after a surge in black power there is a retort, a reassertion of white power. ... Now in the wake of the rise of Obama, we see the power structure responding by continuing to implement voter ID laws tailored to functionally disenfranchise poor blacks. We see an increase in violent crimes that target blacks but not specific blacks, any black person will do. ... The anxiety about Obama's success has led to many reactions, most of them not physical but still emotionally violent." --Time magazine contributor Touré

Say what? "[Republicans are] happy to have [Obama] involved in using his labor to build the White House, but for him to win an election and live in the White House? That's just not acceptable." --MSNBC's Martin Bashir

Fairly imbalanced: "Should an MSNBC anchor be moderating a White House event and talking about celebrating what the administration has accomplished?" --CNN's Howard Kurtz

Sympathy: "President Obama [was] elected to repair the economy, get us out of two wars ... repair equality divides in this country and also heal a racial divide. Is it just too much to ask from one president?" --MSNBC's Thomas Roberts

More race bait: "Everything [Obama] does is subject to a different lens and seen through a microscope that really tends to pick him apart. I think it's indivisible from the broader issue of his race, of his being a black man with a certain kind of authority. These are impolite things we don't want to talk about. We think that they're being extraordinary ratcheted up. But I don't see any other way to explain it but a remarkable resistance to the integrity of this man that has no other explanation." --Georgetown University professor Michael Eric Dyson

Racial healing: "Time to get booted up and suited up for this race war we're in, the things that are about to happen to these crackers, these honkeys. ... We gotta go do it, we have to cross the Red Sea, not some sea in the Middle East part of the world, we're talking about some blood -- go through some blood, some battles. There are those who wish they could stand in this hour to see the destruction of the devil's world, not some dude under the ground with a pitchfork, I'm talking about blond-haired, blue-eyed sometimes brown-eyed Caucasian." --threat from the "New" Black Panthers

Power grab: "As High Commissioner for Human Rights, I call for an immediate investigation [into the shooting involving Trayvon Martin]. Justice must be done for the victim. It's not just this individual case. It calls into question the delivery of justice in all situations like this." --UN Human Rights chief Navi Pillay (For the record, the UN Commission on Human Rights includes such paragons of virtue as China, Cuba, Libya and Saudia Arabia.)

Glenn BeckTonight on GBTV: Earlier this week Glenn revealed phase 1 of "The American Dream Labs" - the centerpiece of which is "The Oval," a full scale replica of The Oval Office. Tonight at 5pm ET, Glenn will deliver the speech that the President should be giving to the American people.

Real News: While the mainstream media focuses on the semi-official kick off of the general election, Real News from The Blaze will look into the latest disturbing election news from Egypt. Could the Muslim Brotherhood be the least of our problems? All that and much more tonight at 6pm ET (or on demand).

Shoe Train: Glenn shows his devotion to Romney - devotion that could only be swayed by a candidate as strong as Shoe. Who is Shoe?

Glenn on throwing support behind Romney: 'At least he's not a Commy'
That slogan pretty much sums up how most non-Romney supporters feel now that they are pretty much forced to support him in the general election. Getting amped up to stand behind Romney has proven to be a challenge. Sure, he is a very good family man, strong morals, etc etc -- but it's kinda hard to overlook the fact that he passed the precursor to Obamacare. Which is probably why they came up with the worst campaign slogan ever.

TOMORROW - Information you can't afford to miss: Glenn reveals the truth about one of the most hateful and dangerous men in America tomorrow on GBTV at 5pm ET! Start your two week FREE TRIAL today!

Where is George Zimmerman?
News broke this afternoon that charges would soon be filed against George Zimmerman in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin -- that unleashed a firestorm on Twitter of people gleefully predicting his murder in prison. You can see the violent rhetoric via Twitchy. Glenn talked about Zimmerman's whereabouts on radio today.

No They Can't! Why Government Fails But Individuals Succeed
Glenn interviewed prominent libertarian John Stossel on radio today to talk about his book No They Can't! Why Government Fails But Individuals Succeed and the fight in general against big government. Intuitively Americans know that big gov isn't good - so why do we always lose the argument?

What's the ONE sport Glenn is actually good at? No seriously - he's good at it. WATCH

One of Glenn's fav comedians joins digital movement
Glenn has led the charge into the great digital unknown. Others are seeing the success and beginning to follow. One of Glenn's favorite comedians, Jim Gaffigan, has broken the traditional content model and taken his latest (and hilarious) special digital. Find out more HERE.

The White House is still pushing the Buffett b.s.
Despite being blatantly false, the White House is still telling the American people that the wealthy are paying a lower tax rate than the middle class. Many - including Stu have already thoroughly dismantled this claim, reducing it to a bloody pulp. But that's not stopping the Obama camp from scraping it up off the floor and trying again. It takes another beating HERE.

Spring planting season is here! Markdown is offering a great deal from Bloom Master, providing you with the most gorgeous hanging flower baskets you've ever experienced. This spring, share the joy of beautiful flowers with friends, family and loved ones. Get all of the details at Markdown.

The U.S. is under attack: The enemy moves freely amongst us and even advises the very government bodies to protect us from such a threat. A shocking new documentary coming soon to GBTV provides irrefutable evidence of the attack underway. The information you will see in this film has to be shared with as many Americans as possible to wake them up. WATCH THE TRAILER.
