'Suited, Booted, and Armed': Unbelievable Audio From the New Black Panthers on Bloody, Anti-Capitalist 'Race War' Against White Devils

Unbelievable Audio From the New Black Panthers: Suited, Booted, and Armed

The New Black Panthers had a group phone call Friday to discuss the April 9 rally for Trayvon Martin.

(Related: Malik Zulu Shabazz: New Black Panthers Planning April 9 'Day of Action')

Hosted primarily by Michelle Williams and Chawn Kweli, the New Black Panther's chief of staff in Tampa and a national spokesman, respectively, the call was filled with violent, hate-filled speech outlining the party's future plans. Words like "war, cracker, and blood" seemed to be the biggest "buzz words" in the conversation.

Faith Rev. Wright Unleashed: 'White Supremacy' Drives 'World Policy,' Allah & Yahweh Are the 'Same'...and Clarence Thomas Is Worshipping 'Some Other God'

  • Rev. Jeremiah Wright delivered three fiery sermons about faith, race and politics at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Charleston, West Virginia
  • Wright said Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas worships "some other God" outside of "Allah and Yahweh" (who are the "same" he says)
  • Obama's former pastor called Thomas Jefferson "a pedophile"
  • He sees "white supremacy" driving "world policy"
  • Wright condemned the U.S. military, saying, "fighting for peace is like raping for virginity"

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright became a household name during the 2008 presidential campaign. The fiery preacher, who was President Barack Obama's pastor for two decades, has since retired from his position at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, Illinois. However, he's still an active figure in geopolitical and faith movements, as his bizarre commentaries often offend detractors and inspire intense debate.

Last week, Wright spoke at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Charleston, West Virginia, as part of a week-long revival event. His controversial words took aim at Thomas Jefferson, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, the media and plenty of other targets.

Why Isn't the Attack of a 78 Year Old White Man by Black Youths a Hate Crime?

images (94)The shooting of Trayvon Martin has been a racial rallying cry across the nation. Most blacks are accusing George Zimmerman of purposely shooting Trayvon because he was black. To date, there is conflicting evidence so I'm not passing judgment on the case, just those who immediately jumped on the race issue before they knew all of the facts.

I've seen this happen too many times. Whenever a white or Hispanic person commits a crime against a black person, it's instantly labeled a hate crime and the black community goes on a warpath.

But what happens when a black person commits a crime against a white person? You rarely ever hear any suggest it was a hate crime. Such is the case of a 78 year old man in East Toledo, Ohio.

According to multiple news reports, Dallas Watts, is a thin frail looking 78 year old white man. He was walking home from a nearby Gas Express Mart last Saturday afternoon when he was confronted by six black juveniles ranging in age from 11 to 17. Watts recalled one of the youth telling the others to "take him down", to which he replied,

George W. Bush to speak in Pennsylvania on GOP presidential primary day

Former President George W. Bush will deliver a speech in Pennsylvania on the day of the state's GOP presidential primary. Bush is the only prominent politician in his family that has not made an endorsement in the 2012 presidential race.

Bush will give the keynote address at the Plumstead Christian School's annual "Founders Forum" on the Calvary Church's campus in Souderton, according to the school's official website.

His father, former President George H. W. Bush is the most recent member of the Bush family to endorse former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney for president.

Bush reportedly asked Romney if his son had endorsed him for president yet.

"I haven't met with President George W. Bush," Romney said. "We speak from time to time."

Barbara Bush, his wife, replied, "We'll talk about that."

Dr. Larry P. Arnn
Dr. Larry P. Arnn

Over the years, many friends of Hillsdale, those who never attended college here, have said to me: "Dr. Arnn, I wish I could take Hillsdale's Constitution course!"

In response to these requests, this past year, for the first time ever, Hillsdale College offered the "Introduction to the Constitution" lecture series at no charge. Frankly, I wasn't sure what sort of a response a course like this would have.

That's why I was excited to see that YOU and almost 200,000 other people from all over the United States registered for "Introduction to the Constitution."

Thank you very much for registering and participating. I hope you learned a lot from the series.

I was thrilled, not only by the response, but at what it indicates: Americans are willing and eager learn about the Constitution and to defend the principles of liberty that made America so prosperous!

And this re-awakening of national interest in the Constitution comes not a minute too soon.

Now, for the first time ever, Hillsdale College is offering a no-cost 10-week online Constitution course based on the class Hillsdale College students must complete for graduation:

"Constitution 101: The Meaning and History of the Constitution"

This course on the U.S. Constitution is available online at no charge to anyone who wants to understand and defend the timeless principles of liberty upon which our nation was founded!

I am proud to be teaching part of our NEW "Constitution 101" course and hope YOU will be one of my students again!

Hillsdale College"Constitution 101" begins on February 20, 2012, and concludes the week of April 30. It will cover such topics as the Declaration of Independence and its connection to the Constitution, how the Constitution is structured to protect individual liberty and ensure good government, the crisis of constitutional government faced by Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War, and modern challenges to the Constitution during the "Progressive" era.

It is my honor to teach the first class, "The American Mind," and the final class, "The Recovery of the Constitution." All of the classes will be taught by Hillsdale College professors - the top teachers in their field and the same ones who instruct our students here on Hillsdale's campus.

Classes listed in Blue have been posted on YouTube and can be viewed by clicking on the link for each class below.

Hillsdale College

The U.S. Constitution

A Reader

Featuring 113 primary source documents, The U.S. Constitution: A Reader was developed for teaching the core course on the U.S. Constitution at Hillsdale College.

Divided into eleven sections with introductions by members of Hillsdale's Politics Department faculty, readings cover the principles of the American founding, the framing and structure of the Constitution, the secession crisis and the Civil War, the Progressive rejection of the Constitution, and the building of the administrative state based on Progressive principles.

Editorial Note: Just received a couple of copies of the reader.   Not just a short course pamphlet this; with the heft of 'Atlas Shrugged', it is well worth getting whether or not you choose to take the course.

About Hillsdale College

Hillsdale College is a private, coeducational, residential, liberal arts college with approximately 1,400 students. Founded in 1844, the College remains, in the words of its Articles of Association, "grateful to God for the inestimable blessings resulting from the presence of civil and religious liberty and intelligent piety" in our nation, and dedicated to "the diffusion of sound learning" that is "essential to the perpetuity of these blessings."

Hillsdale College is distinguished by its rigorous core curriculum, by its principled rejection of federal and state taxpayer funding, and by the pledge of its Board of Trustees to resists any attempts by the government to regulate its internal affairs.

Hillsdale College promotes the principles of liberty nationwide through its national speech digest, Imprimis, which has a monthly circulation of over 2 million, and through several outreach programs. In 2008, Hillsdale launched its Allan P. Kirby, Jr. Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship in Washington, D.C. The College will also launch the Hillsdale Graduate School of Statesmanship in fall 2012.

The bad news is last month some well intentioned political activist announced a cut-off date for signing up co-sponsors for Rep. Rose Marie Swanger's American Law's for American Courts (HB 2029) in an effort to inject some urgency into the effort.

What it resulted in was an interruption of the campaign to encourage those Representatives not yet signed on as co-sponsors to join with those Legislators who have already recognized the death by smothering threat to our Constitution.

The good news is there is no cut-off date for adding co-sponsors and we are once again asking your readers to contact their representatives and ask they join the battle.

There are only three Representatives from Bucks who are co-sponsors, Representatives Clymer, Petri and Quinn and we thank them for showing their colors.

But that leaves seven more Representatives who appear to be still standing on the sidelines as the battle for our existence as a free people is joined.

Lame rhetoric? I'm afraid not. If you do not understand the threat we face from 'peaceful' opportunists like CAIR, visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bucksafa11info/messages or contact me at bucksafa11@yahoo.com to schedule an Open the Koran presentation for you and your friends.

If you're ready to help, visit www.actforamerica.org and sign on as a chapter leader. It's free and the people there are friendly and helpful. Your help is needed. Every township, every neighborhood needs an Act! for America chapter leader.

But before you do anything, if your Pennsylvania Representative has not yet ssigned on as co-sponsor, urge her/him to do so and ask what is it that prevents him/her from doing so.

Help Pennsylvania be counted among those States that have shown the courage to face off with the enemies who have plainly stated their aim is to destroy our Nation. Our laws have worked just fine since colonial times. What is needed are politicians who respect them. And you know whose job it is to remind them of that.

Thanks,

John Ryan

We're going to Washington, D.C. to stand with Israel

From July 16 through July 18, 2012, Christians United for Israel will be holding its 7th Annual Washington Summit. We're going back to stand with Israel in our nation's capital. This year - more than ever - we need you to join us!

In the coming months, critical decisions are going to be made about Iran, Israel and the world. Finally, Washington is beginning to focus on the issue of a nuclear Iran. Many of our leaders want to confront this looming threat. But others want to keep kicking the can down the road. The debate is far from over.

  • We know that when thousands of CUFI activists arrive in DC and on Capitol Hill, we can change the conversation.
  • We can remind our leaders that a nuclear Iran is not only a threat to Israel, but to the US as well. And we can demonstrate to our elected officials that their constituents care enough about this issue to show up at their DC offices.
  • We know that we can create a sense of immediacy that's otherwise lacking.
  • We know that the more of us who show up and speak out -- the louder our voice and the greater our impact.

We stand at a critical juncture in history. Don't be silent! Don't miss your chance to make a difference! Don't pass up your opportunity to defend America and bless Israel!

Our leaders need to remember that we are watching them and we need to remember that God is watching us.

The time to speak out for Israel is now!
Please register today for CUFI's 2012 DC Summit.

John Stossel - May 2, 2012

The Union League of Philadelphia
Luncheon: 12:00 - 1:30PM

John Stossel

John Stossel's new book, "No, They Can't: Why Government Fails-but Individuals Succeed," argues: "There ought not to be a law." Stossel explains how politicians promise to solve problems by passing laws, but the laws invariably make our problems worse.

After years of obeying our parents, we are programmed to think that anytime there is a problem, whether it's companies going bankrupt or schools keeping kids stupid, government action is the way to solve it. Using his decades of reporting, Stossel tackles how those intuitive, knee-jerk reactions lead us astray.

Central planning sounds right. It feels good. But it has nothing to do with the realities of economics and science. There is nothing that government can do that we cannot do better as free individuals - and as groups of individuals, working together voluntarily, not at the point of a gun or under threat of a fine. Without big government, our possibilities are limitless.

What:  Town Hall with Sam Rohrer, sponsored by Citizens for Constitutional Government

When:  Tuesday, April 10, 7pm

Where:  Quakertown Library, 401 W. Mill St, Quakertown

Patriots,

SAM ROHRER NEEDS YOUR HELP IN SPREADING THE WORD ABOUT HIS CANDIDACY FOR U.S. SENATE in the Republican Primary on April 24.

PLEASE PRINT the FAITH & FREEDOM LETTER attached addressed to Pastors and GIVE TO YOUR PASTOR (and other pastors in your area) THIS WEEK.   Let him know of Sam's Christian character and integrity in office.  Ask if there is any avenue by which he and/or you could let the church folks know of Sam (email, flyers in lobby, post a flyer on a bulletin board, church bulletin?).

I also gave our pastor the handout on the Life, Marriage, and Educaton policies Sam supported.  How about printing out enough copies of this handout for your Sunday School group and/or handing them out to your friends at your child's private school or in Bible study, Awanas, or prayer groups?

Know any homeschoolers?  The Michael Farris letter is specifically directed to homeschoolers, but also reminds us of Sam's  record as a Constitutionalist and the importance of this race and our involvement.

Please forward the message below with the attached flyers to all pro-life, people of faith and traditional values, Christian school parents, and homeschoolers you know.    Thank you for supporting this courageous champion of liberty,  Jaime

During his time in office, there was no greater champion of morality, the protection of life and the family, religious liberty, school choice, and homeschooling than SAM ROHRER.....Please read the attached letters of endorsement and information sheets and pass them on.  Also, watch the video clips in the links below to hear of Sam's stand on life, freedom, and faith in his own words.

Check out Sam's great website at www.rohrerforsenate.org for more information.  To support Sam's election effort, follow the links on his website to donate or volunteer your time (making calls from home, passing out literature, putting up signs, and/or passing out info at the polls).  Please spread the word to all your friends and family.

Yes, Senator Demint has asked that Sam's supporters flood his Senate Conservatives Fund with calls and emails to endorse Sam.

ONLY WE can prove that the grassroots can be relied on to carry Sam to victory over Casey!!  ONLY an outpouring of patriots' support can give Senator Demint the verification he needs to silence the skeptics and throw the political clout and financial resources of his Senate Conservatives Fund behind Sam.

This is the EASIEST thing Sam has asked his supporters to do - All you have to  do is click on the links below and say  "Please endorse Sam Rohrer for U.S. Senate."  WE MUST NOT FAIL SAM NOW THIS CLOSE TO VICTORY!!   Jaime

Team, please use the link above to go to Senate Conservatives Fund on Facebook. Let Jim Demint know you support Sam and that he should too.  HE WANTS US TO DO THIS.

Hit him here too: https://www.facebook.com/jimdemint?ref=ts&__adt=3

So far there are five entries on Sam's behalf. That won't do it. Please. This is an easy one. Let's go to work on it!

Resources on 2nd & 10th Amendments for Rohrer outreach to Gun and Fish & Game clubs, gunshops, Constitutionalists

To: Patriots for Sam!

     Please pass this on.....

With this great endorsement from Gunowners Of America (see attachment), gun owners and outdoorsmen, with their natural bent toward constitutional rights, are almost a given for Sam  IF THEY HEAR ABOUT HIM - - MANY STILL HAVE NOT.  NOW IS THE TIME to find out through friends or local gun shops when the local gun and F&G clubs have their monthly meetings.

Schedule now a visit to clubs who still have one meeting before April 24th; or convince a friend who is a member to speak for Sam at the club if you can't be there; or ask the president if he would mention Sam and pass the flyers around - they are usually very willing.  The attached letter of endorsement from Gunowners Of America is very convincing, focusing on 2nd amendment and 10th amendment.  Also, I would give him your contact info for any of his members that want to volunteer for Sam.

Following are a couple of good video clips from Sam's 2010 speeches to forward to people who care about these issues.   Ask the Gun/Fish & Game club officers if you can forward informational emails on SAM to their email network, then send the GOA letter, along with these video links.  Watch these yourself: Sam's GREAT responses will convince any gunowner that  he fundamentally understands and believes in the Second Amendment and the clips are short.

And don't forget the gun shops in your area:  drop off a Sam flyer to post there (Legislative checklist flyer is good too)

Also, we want to encourage anyone to whom we give info to go to his website, www.rohrerforsenate.org where they can find links to sign up to get email updates from the campaign, to volunteer (we NEED poll workers), and to donate.  Jaime

The unmistakable conclusion of this series is that Obamacare must be fully repealed. Congress cannot build sound market-based health care reform on the flawed foundation of this health care law. Until it can be repealed, Congress must employ its full powers authorized by the Constitution to:

LARRY KANE RADIO INTERVIEW:  Please listen to the audio at this link.

If you are a Smith supporter, are you concerned that Tom Smith is cancelling appearances and interviews across the state?  He has cancelled out of two debates; now Larry Kane reveals that Smith cancelled his interview at the last minute and is doing so across the state.  Is this not because Tom has trouble articulating clear positions on the weighty issues a Senator must deal with?  If he struggles now debating Republicans, how will he possibly be able to best Senator Casey?  How will he instill confidence in the voters that he will understand and know how to stand on the issues if he were to go to Washington?

Please be sure your support is going to a candidate that can beat Casey....who is battle-tested and proven...who has the knowledge and wisdom and strength of experience to better a veteran like Casey....who would go to Washington aware of the dangers and pitfalls of political pressure.....who is thoroughly grounded in an understanding of the Constitution and an ability to identify how legislation does or does not measure up to the Constitution...who has proven his ability to identify and attack the root problems in government.

Sam Rohrer does not cancel interviews but welcomes the opportunity to answer the tough questions.  Please listen to Kane's comments on Smith and his interview with Sam in the audio at the link below.

RedState Morning Briefing

For April 10, 2012

1. A Self-Inflicted Hubris Shot to the Head

Mike Wallace is dead.

Growing up, I'd spend the summer away from Dubai at my grandparents' home in Louisiana. Sunday nights were back to back Murder She Wrote and 60 Minutes.

Many conservatives would accuse Mike Wallace and 60 Minutes of a liberal view point and shading stories to match their world view. Growing up, 60 Minutes was, to me, journalism done right. They asked questions and got answers and highlighted problems and, though sometimes falling short of the goal, tried not to put themselves in the story.

I'd like to think that if Mike Wallace were able in his latter days, he'd be kicking the asses of most of the journalists who have dared weigh in on the Trayvon Martin killing for destroying the integrity of a tragic story in the name of agenda journalism.

Just about every single network and journalist who has touched on the Trayvon Martin matter should be deeply and terribly ashamed of themselves. I am disgusted by just how badly the media has botched the handling of a very real tragedy.

2. Right-To-Work Is Right For Ohio (and Elsewhere)

As today's government-union bosses push higher taxes, establish dues schemes to fund their bloated salaries and union-bought politicians, the evidence has become pretty clear: Government unions have become political, parasitic entities injuring taxpayers and the communities they control (see Central Falls and Providence, RI; Detroit, MI; and the once-great State of California for examples).

In the private sector, however, where taxpayers' pockets are not in endless supply, the parasitic model of today's unions, far too often, allows unions drain companies and ends up killing their hosts.

3. Jason Altmire (D, PA-04): pro-life? Pro-choice? Try 'pro-keeping his seat.'

You have to wonder whether the Online Left finds equivocators like Rep. Jason Altmire (D, PA-04) as insulting as we do (not that progressives have the courage to call their own hypocrites out, of course). Let me set the background: in 2010 Altmire did his level best to look like a mighty pro-life champion, largely because he was running for re-election in a R+6 district (which he ended up winning with only 51% of the vote). Back then it was all about how Altmire absolutely hated taxpayer funding of abortion, and how he'd never support such a thing, and the rest of the spiel that then-Speaker Pelosi graciously allowed him to repeat in order to keep his seat.

But that was 2010. Since then the seats have been redrawn, and now Altmire is facing Murtha crony/replacement Mark Critz in a race for the redrawn PA-12 district that has been called 'spirited' (read: 'vicious'). So, now that the pandering has to be to Democratic primary voters, how is Altmire pandering?

Pick a fight with a liberal on:

JUDGMENT.
Liberals love accusing people of being "judgmental." And that's, like, what, supposed to be a BAD thing? If we don't teach our kids to make judgments-and fast-how are we ever going to stop them being fleeced or mugged every time they exit the front door? And how are we ever going to survive in business if we can't suss the difference between trustworthy clients and bad debtors? Our whole life is spent learning how to form judgments-between good and bad, right and wrong, nice and nasty. This is the basis of wisdom. But then a liberal would never understand that, wisdom being an entirely alien concept.

One Hundred Broken Mirrors   Apr 09, 2012 04:00 am

Old wars never really go away. Thirty years after Falklands, Argentina and the UK are still facing off over the islands. Bananas are going for a pound each and there's an egg shortage among the native population.  Thirty-one years after Israel destroyed Saddam's nuclear reactor a few miles outside of Baghdad to the universal condemnation of the whole world, it seems likely to launch such an attack. Once again Israeli F-16's are likely to head into the jaws of a regional power and come out victorious and condemned.

'Anti-Fascists' in Proxy War for Islam   Apr 08, 2012 02:10 pm

EuropeNews.DK
On Saturday, March 31st 2012, street fighting broke out in the otherwise docile city of Aarhus, the second largest city in Denmark. A demonstration organized by DDL/EDL for human rights and against Islamization was assaulted by the combined forces of self-styled 'anti-fascists' and Muslims seeking to teach the demonstrators 'tolerance'. The Danish police was out in force and largely managed to protect the demonstration from the attackers.

One Hundred Broken Mirrors
Old wars never really go away. Thirty years after Falklands, Argentina and the UK are still facing off over the islands. Bananas are going for a pound each and there's an egg shortage among the native population.

Thirty-one years after Israel destroyed Saddam's nuclear reactor a few miles outside of Baghdad to the universal condemnation of the whole world, it seems likely to launch such an attack. Once again Israeli F-16's are likely to head into the jaws of a regional power and come out victorious and condemned.

There is good reason why old wars don't go away. War hatreds are convenient distractions for poor economies, whether in Buenos Aires or Tehran. If a bomb falls on Israel, few in Iran will be asking how much money the Revolutionary Guard pocketed from developing the massive program. And in the middle of economic turmoil, denouncing the Brits for stealing islands on which hardly anyone wants to live, but the people living on them, is a fine distraction from a closer look at how Kirchner is using legislation to consolidate economic power.

Thirty-nine years after the last major war between Israel and Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood will unveil a constitution based on the Al-Azhar document, a lovely piece of work which emphasizes the importance of democracy and freedom-- and the subservience of both to Islamic law. Western observers still working up their enthusiasm for the Arab Spring are noting the former and not the latter.

Virtually everyone has ignored one the final clauses of the Al-Azhar document and its commitment to the "Palestinian" cause. For the Muslim Brotherhood, the Palestinian cause is Hamas, which is to say themselves. A commitment to Hamas is a commitment to an arm of the Brotherhood. A war against Israel is inevitable, but not until the Brotherhood sucks as much aid out of the Great Satan as it can, under the pretense of serving as a moderating influence on Hamas.

For all the beards and Koran thumping, the Brotherhood is likeliest to begin hostilities when a poor economy causes a dip in its popularity. The Egyptian phase of the Arab Spring wasn't fired by idealism, except in some corridors of Twitter and even then most of the idealists ended up running for public office. The economy was bad, the price of bread was high and corruption was everywhere. And none of those factors are going away. The Brotherhood is an economic cartel just like the economic cartels in the military and the ruling party that it promised to get rid of. And the Salafis are waiting in the wings to succeed them as the incorruptible moral guardians of the nation.

Pastor Youcef Sees His Son on His Son's Birthday

Today is Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani's son's birthday. While he didn't get the present he really wanted, his father's freedom, he did receive a very special gift. Pastor Youcef's son was able to visit his father in prison.

This was not only a birthday present for his son, but serves as an early birthday present for Pastor Youcef, who will celebrate his 35th birthday and the two-and a half year mark of his imprisonment next week. Over the course of Pastor Youcef's illegal imprisonment in Iran, he has only been permitted to see his children a handful of times.

Not only does this mean that Pastor Youcef is still alive, but it is a precious reminder of what we are fighting for - freedom for a loving father, a devoted husband, a caring pastor, and a devout follower of Christ.

The information from our sources in Iran that Pastor Youcef is still alive should also put to rest any lingering rumors of his execution.

Pro-Shariah Group Launches Disinformation Campaign

http://news.investors.com/Article.aspx?id=606641&ibdbot=1&p=2

The Islamic Circle of North America has launched a $3 million campaign to convince Americans that Shariah, the legal code of Islam, is no threat. ICNA is not exactly the best salesman.

The New York-based group, which was founded in 1968 by leaders of the Pakistani branch of the radical Muslim Brotherhood, is promoting Shariah law in a "25-city education tour" that features billboards, radio and TV ads, town hall forums and campus interfaith events.

"The plan is to clear up common misconceptions about Shariah and the Islamic faith," ICNA says. It's responding to legislative efforts to ban judges from recognizing Shariah law in Kansas, Texas, South Carolina, Georgia, Oklahoma, Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee, Arizona and South Dakota.

"Muslim-Americans are asking for the same fundamental rights to observe Shariah" as other faiths enjoy observing their tenets, ICNA asserts.

Of course, Shariah involves far more than just worship. It commands a separate political system. Unlike other religions, it seeks to substitute the U.S. Constitution with its own commandments, which discriminate against women and non-Muslims, restrict free speech, and prescribe cruel and unusual punishment, among other things.

Through groups such as ICNA, as well as the hundreds of mosques it controls, the Muslim Brotherhood teaches Muslim-Americans that Shariah is the law of the land. This is in direct contravention of the so-called supremacy clause, which states: "This Constitution shall be the supreme law of the land; and the judges in every state shall be bound thereby."

Shariah has already crept into U.S. court cases, mostly involving family law. Some heavily Muslim areas of the U.S. have become "no-go zones," where domestic abuse cases, even honor killings, are covered up.

But then, ICNA knows all this. That's why it's trying to disarm the public through a massive propaganda campaign in the U.S.

The ICNA official behind the campaign, Sabeel Ahmed, has privately told Muslims: "We should use every opportunity presented or created to sensitize non-Muslim peers and school staff with Islam and establish an environment in which everywhere a non-Muslims (sic) turn, they notice Islam portrayed in a positive way and get influenced by it and eventually accept Islam with Allah's guidance, insha Allah."

It's plain that ICNA has an agenda other than protecting religious freedom. But it goes beyond conversion of non-Muslims. Here's what ICNA is really hiding:

* The secret archives of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood, seized by FBI agents in 2004, list ICNA among "our organizations."

* The document, found in the basement of a terror suspect in Annandale, Va., and translated from Arabic, says "their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within, and sabotaging its miserable house, so that it is eliminated and Allah's religion is made victorious over all other religions."

* The same Brotherhood charter calls for the creation one day of a "Central Islamic Court" in America, according to the best-seller "Muslim Mafia."

* ICNA recently merged with a sister group - the Muslim American Society - which the Justice Department says is the U.S. branch of the Muslim Brotherhood.

* ICNA's "Great Leaders of the last 100 Years" features the late Pakistani Brotherhood leader Maulana Abul Ala Maududi, who has said: "Islam wishes to do away with all states and governments anywhere."

* It also lionizes the late Egyptian Brotherhood leader Sayyid Qutb, who stated: "Wherever an Islamic community exists, it has a God-given right to step forward and take control of the political authority so that it may establish the divine system (Shariah) on earth."

* ICNA has featured in its magazine, "The Message," the writings of the Muslim Brotherhood's spiritual leader, Sheik Yusuf al-Qaradawi, who has stated the following: "What we seek is that legislations and codes be within the limits of the flawless texts and the overall objectives of the Shariah and the Islamic message." Qaradawi, banned from U.S. entry since 1999, has also declared: "We will conquer America."

Those running ICNA's ads and plastering highways (including New York's Lincoln Tunnel) with billboards should know what they're dealing with - a subversive group running a disinformation campaign.

Dealing With Muslims

Two Black Americans were elected to congress this cycle, and both are Republican.   Col. West is from southern  Florida .   He won in a walk.

This new Congressman was an extremely popular commander in  Iraq .  He was forced to retire because during an intense combat action a few of his men were captured.   At the same time his men captured one of the guys who were with the Iraqis who captured his men.

Knowing that time was crucial and his interrogators were not getting anywhere with the prisoner, Col. West took matters into his own hands.  He burst into the room and demanded thru an interpreter that the prisoner tell him where his men were being taken.  The prisoner refused so Col. West took out his pistol and placed it into the prisoner's crotch and fired.   Then the  Col. Told the prisoner that the next shot would not miss.  So the prisoner said he would show where the American service members were being taken.  The Americans were rescued.  Someone filed a report on incorrect handling of prisoners.  Col. West was forced to retire.  Col. West was just elected in November 2010 to Congress from  Florida .   During the elections he was part of a panel on how to handle or how to relate to Muslims.   You will see his answer here explaining in just over a minute the truth about Islam.  Please watch and if you agree, please forward it to your friends; if you disagree, you're a dolt.  Hit the delete button.

Taxmageddon, the $500 Billion Tax Increase Coming in January

April 4, 2012

Taxed Enough Already? Just wait until Obamacare kicks in In this week's Heritage in Focus Podcast, Heritage Foundation tax expert Curtis Dubay discusses his new report on "Taxmageddon," the enormous tax increase coming at the end of 2012 unless lawmakers act.

"Taxmageddon is a $494 billion tax increase that strikes at the beginning of 2013," Dubay writes in his report. "Under current law, tax policies in seven different categories will expire, and five of the 18 new tax hikes from Obamacare will begin."

He continues:

A tax increase the size of Taxmageddon for just one year is simply unprecedented. Usually tax and budget policies are evaluated on estimates over 10 years. A 10-year tax increase of Taxmageddon's magnitude would be off the charts. By comparison, all the tax increases in Obamacare-itself an enormous tax increase-raise $502 billion over 10 years, which is almost as much as Taxmageddon will increase taxes just in 2013.

Orlando's Rep. Adams fears Obama power grab

April 7, 2012|By Mark K. Matthews, Washington Bureau

WASHINGTON - A White House order updating federal emergency powers has raised alarm among some conservative commentators, and U.S. Rep. Sandy Adams, that President Barack Obama is attempting to grab unconstitutional powers.

A columnist with The Washington Times declared the mid-March order - an update of a 60-year-old document outlining the president's authority in a national emergency - "stunning in its audacity and a flagrant violation of the Constitution." The conservative Drudge Report website linked to it with the headline, "Martial Law?"

And Adams, R-Orlando, said it "leaves the door open for the president to give himself control over American resources during both times of peace, and national crisis."

So Adams filed a nonbinding resolution specifying what Obama cannot do with the order - including institute a draft, confiscate personal property and "force civilians to engage in labor against their will or without compensation."

Man Obtains Attorney General Eric Holder's Ballot Just by Asking for It, No ID Required

In a shocking new video, James O'Keefe's Project Veritas demonstrates to the Attorney General of the United States, Eric Holder, just why he should be concerned about lack of voter ID laws - by walking into Holder's voting precinct and showing the world that anyone can obtain Eric Holder's ballot. Literally.

The video shows a young man entering a Washington, DC polling place at 3401 Nebraska Avenue, NW, on primary day of this year - April 3, 2012 - and giving Holder's name and address. The poll worker promptly offers the young man Holder's ballot to vote.

Holder has maintained that voter fraud is not a major problem in the United States, and that voter ID would not curb voter fraud in any case.

Project Veritas has already shown how dead people can vote in New Hampshire, prompting the state senate to pass a voter ID law; they've shown celebrities like Tim Tebow and Tom Brady registering to vote in Minnesota, prompting the state legislature to put voter ID on the ballot as a constitutional amendment. Washington DC voting law is a federal jurisdictional area. Will the federal government take up the challenge?

Then he supposedly taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago. Those are powerful law schools. COUNTDOWN TO VICTORY: 211 DAYS TO THE 2012 ELECTIONS

Fewer Workers = Lower Unemployment?

The nation's unemployment rate fell to 8.2% based on data released Friday by the Department of Labor. According to the report, only 120,000 new jobs were created in March. Most economists were predicting more than 200,000 new jobs amid signs of an economic recovery.

But there was bad news buried in the report -- 164,000 Americans dropped out of the labor force last month. These folks are so discouraged that they quit looking for work. As a result, they no longer count when the bureaucrats tally the official unemployment rate.

If everyone got so discouraged that they stopped looking for a job, the unemployment rate would go to zero. It is hard to celebrate a lower unemployment rate that is the direct result of fewer people actually working. Yet this is the reality of Obama's economic "recovery."

Many Americans are frustrated that the government continues to report an improving unemployment rate when the number of workers is declining. Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) wants to change that. He has introduced legislation that would require the government to include discouraged workers in its official unemployment statistic.

That figure already exists. It's known as the U-5 rate, which currently stands at 9.6%. But it is overshadowed by the official unemployment figure known as U-3. Hunter's legislation would make the U-5 rate America's official unemployment rate.

As Rep. Hunter recently explained, "We need to be realistic and focus our attention on the figure that provides the most accurate representation of national unemployment -- not the figure that under-represents the challenge we face."

Of course, the biggest challenge confronting the economy is sitting in the Oval Office today. And in 211 days, the American people will have a chance to end this nightmare by sending Barack Obama to the unemployment line!

Convinced Now, Mr. Holder?

Despite the overwhelming popularity of voter ID laws, the Obama Administration is working non-stop to strike them down. Attorney General Eric Holder has ordered the Justice Department to block implementation of voter ID laws in South Carolina and Texas, despite a 6-to-3 ruling by the Supreme Court upholding such laws.

In the past, Holder has argued that voter ID laws are unnecessary and burdensome to minority groups. Holder insists that ballot access is more important than ballot security. Now James O'Keefe -- the man who exposed ACORN and NPR -- has struck again to show how voter fraud is a growing problem.

In recent weeks, O'Keefe has exposed how easy it is to cast ballots for dead people and to commit voter registration fraud. But Attorney General Eric Holder was unfazed by the facts.

So O'Keefe upped the ante and went after Holder's own ballot. His undercover agents went into a District of Columbia polling location and were offered Eric Holder's ballot. They did not take it so as to avoid violating any laws themselves. But they proved it could be easily done because the poll worker didn't ask for ID and said none was necessary.

Seeing how easy it was to compromise his own ballot, I would hope the Attorney General of the United States would change his mind and respect the common sense views of most Americans. But Holder, like the man he works for, is a committed left-wing ideologue. And when reality conflicts with his ideology, it is reality that must give way.

Obama's Attack Backfires

Did Obama's ham-handed attack on the Supreme Court backfire? A new Rasmussen poll suggests it may have. According to the poll, 41% of likely voters rate the Supreme Court's performance as good or excellent -- up 13 points from mid-March. Moreover, that represents the court's highest rating in two-and-a-half years.

It's impossible to know for sure, but I suspect these improved ratings reflect the public's concern with Obama's attack on the court, which even liberals denounced, as well as ObamaCare's unpopularity. Given all the speculation in the media that the court would, based on the oral arguments, strike down this unpopular law, it stands to reason that the public would be more supportive of the court.

Obama's unprecedented and unpresidential attack on the Supreme Court is the subject of my weekly Human Events column, which you can read here. And regardless of why the court's rating is up, it is encouraging to see that Obama's attack did not sway public opinion against the court.

He's Back

Reverend Jeremiah Wright is back in the headlines again, making news for what he does best -- making racist statements and condemning America. Consider a few of these "gems" from some recent sermons he delivered:

"Let me tell you one thing they taught us in the United States Marine Corps...fighting for peace is like raping for virginity. Those are oxymorons, but that's what we do in the name of regime change."

"The god of racists is not the God of righteousness. The god of the greedy is not the God of grace. The god of Wall Street is not the God of Main Street. Those are two different gods and I ain't talking about Allah and Yahweh. Those are the same names for the same God."

"I'm not talking about black and white...some of ya'll think I'm talking about white folk. There's a whole lot of folk who look like you who are worshipping some other God -- somebody shout Clarence Thomas. Hallelujah!"

"The ignorance and arrogance of white supremacy have the movers and shapers of world policy living in a different world from people of color all together. And the sooner you realize that the better off you're gonna be."

Jeremiah Wright has not changed. He is the same man today that he was three years ago. And he is the same man today that he was when Barack Obama sat in his church for 20 years. What views attracted Obama to Wright's church? And how do those views impact Obama's policies today?

Wright's damning of America helps to explain why Obama is so quick to apologize for America. Wright's confusion about Allah and Yahweh may explain why so many Americans are confused about Obama's faith. Wright's gospel of socialism explains Obama's class warfare. There is a lot about Jeremiah Wright that explains Barack Obama. And the sooner we realize that and vote Obama out of office, the better off America will be.

Easter Bombing In Nigeria

In Nigeria, 36 people were killed when a massive car bomb ripped through a market place. The devastation could have been far worse. CNSNews.com reports that just moments before the blast, security guards had prevented the vehicle "from approaching the All Nations Christian Assembly Church building while the service was underway."

Predictably, the media reacted with a collective yawn. After all, it wouldn't be a major Christian holiday without some atrocity carried out by adherents of the "religion of peace." (A Christmas Day bombing of a Catholic church in Nigeria killed at least 44 people.) That is the disturbing reality of radical Islam and the sorry state of journalism in the Western media. Islamic violence against Christians and Jews is expected, if not tolerated as un-newsworthy.

News from The Hill:

Issa knocks video of GSA employees singing for Obama
By Justin Sink

House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) released a second video from the General Services Administration's (GSA) controversial and ritzy Las Vegas conference Monday in which employees of the federal agency joke that their environmentally friendly initiatives were intended to earn President Obama good press.

The clip is the latest in a string of embarrassing moments for the agency, under fire for the event that cost more than $800,000 and led to the resignation of a number of top GSA officials.

Issa said the video was further evidence of out-of-control government spending - and a lack of oversight by the Obama Administration.

"It takes a lot of work to spend $3,000 a person and at a time when unemployment was nearly 10 percent, Americans were suffering and GSA was enjoying the good times and doing so with high-ranking political employees," he said. "This administration knew about this 11 months ago and they didn't act until the press got wind of it. This is typically what has been happening in this administration. They are only transparent when they are discovered."

The Foundation

"An elective despotism was not the government we fought for; but one in which the powers of government should be so divided and balanced among the several bodies of magistracy as that no one could transcend their legal limits without being effectually checked and restrained by the others." --James Madison

Political Futures

"In 1996 Congress passed the Defense of Marriage Act by huge bipartisan votes -- 342 to 67 in the House and 85 to 14 in the Senate. President Bill Clinton signed the measure into law. Now, the Obama administration says DOMA, which permits states to refuse to recognize gay marriages from other states and also creates a federal definition of marriage as the union of one man and one woman, is unconstitutional. ... 'I'm confident that the Supreme Court will not take what would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress,' Obama said Monday about the arguments over Obamacare before the nation's highest court. The danger presented in the health care case, the president continued, is that 'an unelected group of people would somehow overturn a duly constituted and passed law.' ... If the president was so concerned about a court overturning a duly constituted law passed by a democratically elected Congress, why was he urging a small group of unelected judges to strike down DOMA, a measure that won passage by a far greater margin than Obamacare? The answer is, of course, that the administration is making a political argument for its positions, not a legal one. ... [T]he timing of the arguments over Obamacare and DOMA has revealed the flexibility of the administration's arguments over constitutionality. And the flap over Obama's remarks is just a preview of what is coming when the court issues its decision on Obamacare this June." --columnist Byron York

Post your opinion: What do you think of Obama's selective reasoning?

Government

"America's constitutional structure is built on checks and balances. The idea behind these checks and balances is simple: We want interest counteracting interest, ego counteracting ego. We don't want any one person to gain too much power -- or any one faction or any one way of thought. Gridlock, for lack of a better word, is good. President Barack Obama, however, has a different idea. He believes that America must be fundamentally transformed. That fundamental transformation cannot be effectuated without a fundamental transformation of the system of American government. The most important part of that transformation is the elevation of the presidency from a coequal branch of government to a pre-eminent branch of government. The president shouldn't be seen as just a player in the larger government struggle for power and policymaking; he should be seen as a larger-than-life figure, an almost godlike personage, the sort of fellow who can enact policy single-handedly. No wonder, then, that President Obama declared war on the Supreme Court. ... Getting things done is not so important as getting the right things done. And nobody has a monopoly on what the 'right thing' is -- no person and certainly no one branch of government." --columnist Ben Shapiro

Re: The Left

"One of the highly developed talents of President Barack Obama is the ability to say things that are demonstrably false, and make them sound not only plausible but inspiring. ... Now there are different kinds of liars. If we must have lying Presidents of the United States, I prefer that they be like Richard Nixon. You could just look at him and tell that he was lying. But Obama is much smoother. On this and on many other issues, you would have to know what the facts are to know that he is lying. He is obviously counting on the fact that, in this era of dumbed-down education, many people have no clue as to what the facts are. He is also counting on something else -- namely, that the pro-Obama media will not expose his lies. One of the many ways of lying smoothly is to simply redefine words. Barack Obama is a master at that as well. ... It would be hard to become nostalgic about Richard Nixon, who was forced to resign in disgrace. But at least you could tell when he was lying. Obama's lies are just as big but not as visible, and the media that exposed Nixon is covering for Obama." --economist Thomas Sowell

Essential Liberty

"[T]here are many activities we engage in that either cause harm to others or have the potential for doing so, but we don't ban all of these activities. One of the least-understood functions of private property rights is that of determining who may harm whom in what ways. In a free society, it is presumed that the air in a person's house, restaurant, hotel, car or place of business is his property. That means that if you own a restaurant and don't want your air polluted by tobacco smoke, it is your right. Most would deem it tyranny if a bunch of smokers had the political power to get the city council to pass an ordinance forcing you to permit smoking. You'd probably deem it more respectful of liberty if those who wanted to smoke sought a restaurant owner who permitted smoking. The identical argument can be made about a restaurant owner who permits smoking in a city where nonsmokers have the political power. The issue is not whether smoking harms others. The issue is the rights associated with property ownership. The emerging tragedy is our increased willingness to use the coercive powers of government, in the name of health or some other ruse, to forcibly impose our preferences upon others. In the whole scheme of things, the tobacco issue itself is trivial. Far more important is its template for massive government disrespect for private property." --economist Walter E. Williams

Insight

"To the free man, the country is the collection of individuals who compose it, not something over and above them. He is proud of a common heritage and loyal to common traditions. But he regards government as a means, an instrumentality, neither a grantor of favors and gifts, nor a master or god to be blindly worshipped and served." --economist Milton Friedman (1912-2006)

Faith & Family

"There's a real war on women.... And it's been going on for decades. Our friend Steven Mosher first discovered this war on women in China three decades ago. Steven was a Stanford University Ph.D. student doing graduate research in rural China. ... What he discovered was that Chinese women got no choice. If they had a second child -- an 'illegal' child -- these women could be rounded up, thrown in the back of a two-ton truck, and carted off to the local infirmary. There, they could even be held down and forcibly aborted. ... With such brutal policies in effect limiting Chinese couples to only one child, the rural Chinese felt further pressure to make sure that child was a boy. That's because sons are the only social 'safety net' for hundreds of millions of Chinese. ... President Obama would have us believe that there is some kind of war on women, just in time for his re-election effort. But he is the one who made sure that China's monstrous population effort would be fully supported by the UN Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA). Two days after assuming power, President Obama revoked the Reagan-era Mexico City policy of the previous administration. He forces us to fund international Planned Barrenhood. That means that the world-wide war on baby girls will go forward, with U.S. taxpayers footing part of the bill." --columnists Ken Blackwell & Bob Morrison

The Gipper

"There is a hunger in this country today -- a hunger for spiritual guidance. People yearn once again to be proud of their country and proud of themselves, and to have confidence in themselves. And there's every reason why they should be proud. Some may have failed America, but America has never failed us, and there is so much to be proud of in this land." --Ronald Reagan

"In regard to Mark Alexander's essay, 'Jesus was a Commie'?, Jesus preached that we should reject those who offend the word of God. As Alexander noted, given that atheism is a fundamental tenant of socialism, and the fact that millions of innocent men, women and children have been murdered in socialist purges, one may conclude with certainty that 'Jesus was not a Commie.' Further, the statist redistribution of wealth does not constitute charity. It is not charitable to give away that which is not yours and claim generosity." --Marie

"Jesus advocated personal responsibility, as in Matthew 25:14-30, the parable of the talents. Each was responsible for what he did and his attitude about it. The lazy one, who felt that Jesus was a hard man, found out his laziness did not pay off. Socialism is the refuge of the lazy one!" --Roger

Culture

"A man's life is forever changed by an event that can't be undone. Regardless of how his actions are labeled, [George Zimmerman] can't alter the fact that he fatally shot a 17-year-old. Even if he did so in self-defense, this was a defining event for Mr. Zimmerman, whose life has now been threatened by the New Black Panther Party and others, forcing him, along with his family, into hiding. If this case reminds us of anything, it is that the due-process clause of our Constitution serves a real and important purpose -- to require the prudent and thoughtful application of the law in every situation, no matter how 'obvious' a crime may appear. If due process should have been afforded to young Trayvon, it is no less warranted for Mr. Zimmerman in the aftermath of the shooting. This is what it means to be a nation of laws, and not men. In our age of instant (though often not accurate) communication and knee-jerk, emotional responses, it is unsurprising that the Revs. Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and others would ignore the right to due process for some and once again use a very real human tragedy to advance a political agenda, demonizing the people with whom they disagree." --columnist Marybeth Hicks

The Last Word

"For good measure, as radio talk show host Dennis Prager pointed out, for the first time in its history, the New York Times identified someone, in this case [George] Zimmerman, as 'a white Hispanic.' After all, it wouldn't be front page news if a Hispanic had shot a black or vice versa, or, as is more typical, a black had killed a white. Only by emphasizing that Zimmerman's father was white, while ignoring the fact that his mother was Peruvian, could the Times turn this unfortunate incident into the only kind of hate crime they really care about, one in which a white man can be portrayed as evil incarnate. ... Just in terms of public relations, wouldn't it have been a good idea for Obama to have spoken a few well-chosen words after the 13-year-old white kid, Allen Coon, in Kansas City, was recently doused in gasoline and set on fire while the two black teenagers hollered, 'You get what you deserve, white boy!'? ... In a related matter, people seem to be in a big rush to try, convict and execute, Sgt. Robert Bales for murdering 17 Afghans, while in the meantime, Major Hasan, who massacred 14 Americans at Fort Hood in 2009, continues to await trial nearly three years after his bloody rampage, committed in the name of Allah. In this country, it would appear, a hate crime is simply one for which a white heterosexual is responsible, never one in which he or she is the victim." --columnist Burt Prelutsky

Those who believe Obama can't be beaten relax, Dick Morris is wrong Obama's a lock

Apr 09, 2012 06:13 am | Coach Collins

By Kevin "Coach" Collins  Recently Dick Morris had the nerve to insist Barack Obama will lose in a landslide next November. As a service to those who feel better believing otherwise here is a deconstruction of his argument. Relax this will reassure you. Obama is a lock.  Morris is wrong because Obama will win the Catholic vote: BIG. There are only a handful of Catholics (mostly old and not able to get out of bed) who will side with the Catholic Bishops against Obama. Since Obama is fighting to change Catholic doctrine, they will crawl to the polls to show they support Obama not their Bishops -bank on it!  Morris is wrong because the price of gasoline isn't really a factor in voter's thinking. The polls showing Obama losing a tiny bit of support over the past month as the price of gas climbs are wrong. Anybody can see that - $6.00 gas won't be a problem ...       Five-Star General Omar Bradley died APRIL 8, 1981.
Born 1893, in a cabin near Clark, Missouri, he was a star player on his high school baseball team.
He worked for Wabash Railroad, until his Sunday School superintendent at Central Christian Church in Moberly, Missouri, recommended he apply to West Point.
President Eisenhower said, April 29, 1954:
"I thank General Bradley, my old comrade in arms, my classmate from West Point, my great associate in World War II."
Bradley commanded the 2nd Army Corps in North Africa, was Senior Commander of U.S. Ground Forces for the invasion of France, and in August 1944 led the 12th Army Group in France and Germany, consisting of a million men in four armies.
President Johnson stated, May 23, 1964:
"General Bradley, you were the field commander of more American fighting troops than any commander in any era."

Unfamiliar with his "Christian beliefs", Obama declares "Jesus had doubts"

Apr 08, 2012 02:13 pm | Coach Collins

By Kevin "Coach" Collins

Maybe somebody should call Father Jenkins at Notre Dame and ask him to teach his pal Barack a bit about the religious doctrines Obama professes to believe.

Last Wednesday at a White House Prayer Breakfast Barack Obama took his plan to redesign Christian doctrine up a notch. To the stunned amazement of onlookers Obama the Muslim trained and educated president challenged the divinity of Jesus Christ. Of course he thought he was clever with his sop to Islam and his "finger in the eye" pronouncement, but his remarks leave no doubt about his continuing hostility toward the biggest obstacle to Islam's world domination: Roman Catholicism.

Comparing himself to Jesus Christ, Obama told his audience, "For like us, Jesus knew doubt. Like us, Jesus knew fear. In the garden of Gethsemane, with attackers closing in around him, Jesus told His disciples, 'my soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. We all have ... Morning Bell: Hispanics and the 2012 Election

After last week's Republican primary elections in Wisconsin, Maryland, and Washington, D.C., the 2012 presidential primary season is reaching an inflection point, and eyes are turning toward America's final decision on Election Day in November. While pundits and pollsters speculate on the horse race and who will capture the hearts and minds of the American people, one segment of the electorate is garnering increased attention - Hispanic Americans.

It is, to be sure, a population that continues to grow in size, voice, and importance. In the 2008 election, Hispanics turned out in force - 9.7 million Hispanics voted, and those numbers are projected to grow to 11.8 million to 12.2 million in 2012, with particular importance in presidential battlegrounds such as Colorado and Nevada, according to a Wall Street Journal report.

Last May, President Barack Obama spoke to Hispanic voters in El Paso, Texas, and delivered a highly partisan speech on immigration reform where he chastised his political opponents and their views of border security. In July, the President reached out to the Hispanic community at a gathering organized by The National Council of La Raza, where he again attempted to use the issue of immigration as a wedge issue, casting conservatives as being anti-immigration for their opposition to illegal immigration.

The President's effort in appealing to Hispanics is not surprising given how that population has suffered under his economic policies. Clearly, he sees there is work to be done in order to firm up his base.

Heritage Action for America Action Alert

Call Now: Get them on the Record

Some prominent Representatives want to return to the days of earmarks - wasteful expenditures that were "gateway drugs" to higher spending. Things like bridges to nowhere and indoor rainforests. Earmarks are legislative bribery - convincing lawmakers to vote for a bill they otherwise would not have supported.

>> Call Now: Get your Representative on the record against earmarks.

For the past 16 months, there has been a self-imposed moratorium on earmarks. Unfortunately, some of those same lawmakers who first instituted the ban are joining tax-and-spend liberals in suggesting earmarks be reinstated.

We cannot let that happen. Take a stand and call your Representative today:

  • Tell them Congress did the right thing by banning earmarks
  • Ask them whether they support a return to earmarking
  • If they oppose earmarks, be sure to thank them. If they support earmarks, ask them to reconsider
  • Tell us how they respond, so together, we can hold them accountable

>> Use our call website to place the call and send us a call report.

Thanks in advance for getting your Representative on the record.

Sincerely,

Russ Vought
Political Director

More on FDR Versus Modern Liberalism

Posted: 09 Apr 2012 11:18 AM PDT

Oh what the heck: since I already introduced the theme below about how FDR differs fundamentally from today's liberal, let's look at some of FDR's statements on religion.

Democracy and Christianity, he said, were "two phases of the same civilization."  "We cannot read the history of our rise and development as a nation," he said, "without reckoning with the place the Bible has occupied in shaping the advances of the Republic." During World War II FDR wrote a preface for an edition of the New Testament that was distributed to American troops (think we'd have the moxie to equip our troops in Afghanistan with the New Testament?): "As Commander-in-Chief, I take pleasure in commending the reading of the Bible to all who serve in the armed forces of the United States."  On the eve of the 1940 election, FDR said in a radio address: "Freedom of speech is of no use to a man who has nothing to say and freedom of worship is of no use to a man who has lost his God."  On June 6, 1944, FDR led the nation in prayer for our armed forces on live radio, and in his final inaugural address in 1945 he said, "So we pray to Him for the vision to see our way clearly ... to achievement of His will."

Today's liberals would no doubt regard these statements and acts as grounds for impeachment.  At least they acted that way when President George W. Bush expressed similar sentiments.

Supreme Court's Approval Rating Jumps

Posted: 09 Apr 2012 08:32 AM PDT

(John Hinderaker)

It appears that President Obama's attacks on the Supreme Court were a swing and a miss, like so many of his recent efforts. Scott Rasmussen reports that the Court's approval rating leaped after the three days it spent hearing arguments on Obamacare:

Just before the highly publicized hearing on the constitutionality of President Obama's health care law, ratings for the U.S. Supreme Court had fallen to the lowest level ever measured by Rasmussen Reports. Now, following the hearings, approval of the court is way up.

Forty-one percent (41%) of Likely U.S. Voters now rate the Supreme Court's performance as good or excellent.... That's up 13 points from 28% in mid-March and is the court's highest ratings in two-and-a-half years.

No doubt the Democrats' left-wing base enjoyed seeing the president go after the Court. Like just about everything else he has done lately, Obama's attacks on the Court seem calculated to fire up his hard-core supporters, not appeal to swing voters. That wouldn't be the Democrats' strategy if their internal poll numbers were looking good.

Eric Holder Votes!

(John Hinderaker)

The latest from Project Veritas is being headlined by Drudge. A young man walks into a polling place in Washington, D.C.-the precinct where Eric Holder lives-identifies himself as Holder and asks for a ballot. No identification? No problem! "Eric Holder"-that is, anyone in the world who shows up and identifies himself as Holder-can cast a ballot in the Democratic primary. The video is intercut with footage of Holder denying that voter fraud is a problem:

FDR Versus Today's Liberals

Posted: 09 Apr 2012 08:08 AM PDT

(Steven Hayward)

One of my favorite themes is to trace the immense distance today's liberals have traveled from the liberalism of Franklin Roosevelt.  Liberals used to hate it when Ronald Reagan quoted this remark FDR made in a speech to Congress in 1935:

"The lessons of history, confirmed by the evidence immediately before me, show conclusively that continued dependence upon relief induces a spiritual and moral disintegration fundamentally destructive to the national fiber.  To dole out relief in this way is to administer a narcotic, a subtle destroyer of the human spirit...  It is in violation of the traditions of America."

That's only the first of many I could offer from FDR that display a positively conservative outlook on religion, bureaucracy, business enterprise, and other subjects.  (There's a short catalogue of them in the FDR chapter of a certain new book mentioned here a couple of times before.)  So I'm wondering how liberals will react to Robert Samuelson's column today, "Would Roosevelt Recognize Today's Social Security?", which shines a deserved spotlight on a new book, Sylvester Schieber's The Predictable Surprise: The Unraveling of the U.S. Retirement System, published just last month.

Here's the key item in Samuelson's column:

Discovering that the original draft wasn't a contributory pension, Roosevelt ordered it rewritten and complained to Frances Perkins, his labor secretary: "This is the same old dole under another name.   It is  almost dishonest to build up an accumulated deficit for the Congress . . . to meet."

The Church against Obamacare, cont'd

Posted: 09 Apr 2012 05:27 AM PDT

(Scott Johnson)

I wrote about Archbishop Timothy Dolan's eloquent opposition to the Obamacare "preventive care" regulation in "Left comes for the Archbishop." Yesterday morning Archbishop Dolan appeared on Face the Nation for an Easter interview with Bob Schieffer (video below, CBS report here). I can't remember the last time I watched the show, but this short segment is a keeper. What a magnificent spokesman for the Church on this defining issue. He hit all the right notes in response to the predictable questions.

Gramm and McMillin: The Real Causes of Income Inequality

Any analysis of taxes paid in high tax-and-spend countries shows that the U.S. has the most progressive income tax system in the world.

By PHIL GRAMM   AND STEVE MCMILLIN

In the stagnant days of the Carter administration, when inflation was approaching 13.5% and interest rates were peaking at 21.5%, income was more evenly distributed than in any period in 20th-century America. Since the days of that equality in misery, the measured income of the top 1% of income tax filers has risen over three and a half times as fast as the income of the population as a whole.

This growth in income inequality is largely the result of three dynamics:

ACRU Urges Supreme Court to Adopt 'Coercion Test'

In an amicus brief submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court, the American Civil Rights Union argues for a new constitutional standard protecting religious freedom.

The case, Mount Soledad Memorial Association v. Steve Trunk, et al, involves the cross at the Mt. Soledad veterans memorial in San Diego, which the ACLU and other groups want torn down. The Court may decide to hear the case later this year.

The ACRU's argument - the 'Coercion Test' - is that public religious expression does not violate the Constitution's prohibition against establishment of religion unless it involves coercion. ACRU General Counsel Peter Ferrara, author of the brief, which asks the Court to accept a Writ of Certiorari to hear the case, explains:

Obama's Bullying Pulpit

This column by ACRU Senior Fellow Robert Knight was published April 6, 2012 on The Washington Times website.

I don't know which was more embarrassing: Barack Obama trying to bully the Supreme Court - again - or The Washington Post trying to clean up after him.

Warning the court not to rule against Obamacare, Mr. Obama said it would be an "unprecedented, extraordinary step" of judicial activism. He chided conservatives for long complaining about judicial activism, "that an unelected group of people would somehow overturn a duly constituted and passed law."

Because this hasn't ever happened at the Supreme Court, according to the man who lectured about constitutional law at the University of Chicago, court watchers must have been smoking something since 1803, when Chief Justice John Marshall established judicial review in Marbury v. Madison.

Why the Supreme Court Will Strike Down All of Obamacare

This column by ACRU General Counsel and Senior Fellow for the Carleson Center for Public Policy (CCPP) Peter Ferrara was published April 5, 2012 on Forbes.com.

Barack Obama made a national laughingstock out of himself with his recent comments on the Obamacare law now before the Supreme Court. Obama said on Monday, "I'm confident that the Supreme Court will not take what would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress." (emphasis added).

President Obama is not stupid. But he thinks you are. He knows the Obamacare health care takeover was not passed by a strong majority. But he figures you're so dumb he can rewrite recent history in plain sight. The law passed a House with a huge Democrat majority at the time by only 219-212. It did not get a single Republican vote, but the opposition was bipartisan.

The law also barely squeaked past a Senate filibuster despite an overwhelming 60 Senate Democrats, and even then humiliating buyoffs were necessary. Public opposition was so strong that the ultraliberal Democrat controlled Massachusetts, the only state to go for George McGovern in 1972, elected a Republican in a special election for Sen. Ted Kennedy's seat, to terminate the Democrats' filibuster-proof majority. That required final passage of the law improperly in violation of Congressional rules as a reconciliation measure, which is only to be used to clean up the budget and so cannot be filibustered.

Glenn BeckTonight on GBTV: Everything you've missed in the last week will blow your mind - Glenn goes over the highlights and shows off the new American Dream Labs. Don't miss it tonight at 5pm only on GBTV!

Real News: The constitutionality of the new health care law remains in limbo while America awaits a ruling from the SCOTUS. In the meantime, the Obama administration has diverted $500 million to the IRS to implement the legislation. Why would the administration implement a law that may be repealed? Live at 6pm ET (or on demand).

Glenn at the Oval Office
Glenn caused quite the stir this weekend when pictures surfaced of him at the Oval Office. You can see the pictures for yourself of what is not the actual Oval Office, but a historic area in phase 1 of Glenn's American Dream labs.

We Told You So: Van Jones is back
Van Jones was run out of the White House after his name turned up on a 9/11 truther petition (not to be confused with the communist stuff - that didn't seem to bother this administration) the media dismissed him as a low level staffer. Last week Jones hit all the major shows promoting his new book & his new movement. Like Glenn predicted, he's trying to grab the MLK mantle.

Help us set a Record for Restoring Love
On July 28th, Glenn's going to attempt to bring people from all over America and the world to Dallas, TX for a night of inspiration, faith, and love. New Black Panthers call for riots, murder
It is never hard to find a controversy around the New Black Panthers, and this week is no exception. After pushing for riots and the murder of white people in a conference call, shocking even by their standards, the New Black Panthers completely lose it and call for 'blood' in the streets. Listen to the call and Glenn's reaction.

Here they come: Occupy Chicago tries to kick start new Occupy movement - STORY.

An Invasion is Underway
The U.S. is under attack. The enemy moves freely amongst us and even advises the very government bodies established to protect us from just such a threat. They've already smuggled in at least one weapon of mass effect and are working to set up missile bases within striking distance of the homeland. They are here, now, and their goal is singular and quite specific: The downfall of the United States of America. A shocking new documentary, Rumors of War III: Target U.S. provides irrefutable evidence of the attack underway being perpetrated by the likes of the Muslim Brotherhood and Hezbollah. And, the scariest part? It's happening right before our eyes.
