Quote:
"Let it simply be asked where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths, which are the instruments of investigation in Courts of Justice? And let us with caution indulge the supposition, that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect that National morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle."

Did Obama Assassinate Clinton Delegates?3/18/2012 10:11:00 PM PolitiJim
I'm going to take you on a little journey that - even I'm not sure I believe. But it is newsworthy, in my opinion. One of my key True The Vote heroes was asked to be on the blogtalkradio station Red Right & Blue this past Saturday. And a Hollywood Producer was also on who claimed:
- She heard out of Bill Clinton's own mouth that they KNEW Obama was not eligible, and,
- Bill Clinton shut up after his long time friend was murdered as he was about to go public.
- She was told by Democrat Operatives, that George Soros met with both Obama and Hillary to see if either would be willing to destroy the US economy.
This whole scenario is weird to me. If you are still so clueless that you think Sheriff Joe Arapio's findings from his 6 month investigation aren't important (or worse, wrong), then YOU are part of the problem. (And that includes Limbaugh, Levin, Malkin, Hannity and Erick Erickson at RedState who took an OATH to uphold the Constitution). I'll be honest. If I hadn't downloaded the long form birth certificate myself into Photoshop the day it was released to see it for myself, I would still just be trying to grasp this. But I did and interviewed Bob Cooley who WITNESSED Obama's Chicago machine's corruption (stealing votes, fixing cases and getting payoff's) - I wouldn't be this open to these new allegations.

Government Obama Caught on Hot Mic: Tells Russian Prez He'll Have More 'Flexibility' 'After My Election'
ABC's Jake Tapper has a stunning report out of Seoul, South Korea this morning. According to him, President Obama was caught on a hot mic telling outgoing Russian President Dmitri Medvedev that if given "space," he'll have more flexibility "after my election."
Here's how Tapper puts it:
At the tail end of his 90 minute meeting with Russian President Dmitri Medvedev Monday, President Obama said that he would have "more flexibility" to deal with controversial issues such as missile defense, but incoming Russian President Vladimir Putin needs to give him "space." Read more:
March 26, 2012 President Obama on our missile defense: "After my election I have more flexibility" In 2009 ACT! for America's grassroots efforts helped restore full funding for our missile defense system in the House Armed Services Committee, funding that had been cut by President Obama. Prior to that, we opposed President Obama's decision to capitulate to Russia and modify our missile defense systems in Europe intended to protect our interests from Iran. Today, ABC News has released a SHOCKING exchange (see below, highlights added) that reveals how far President Obama is willing to go to compromise our future missile defense system-and thus our national security-in order to appease Russia. You can see the video by clicking on the image above, then scrolling down to the video screen at the bottom of the page. Ladies and gentlemen, this goes far beyond disturbing. This is downright scary. There is already a "behind the scenes" fight in Washington over an Obama administration proposal to provide secret information about our missile defense system to Russia. Now, President Obama's intentions have been made perfectly clear. He knows he can't capitulate to Russia and compromise our missile defenses before the election-but he is ready and willing to do so if he gets re-elected.
Mar 26, 2012 6:17am President Obama Asks Medvedev for 'Space' on Missile Defense - 'After My Election I Have More Flexibility' http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/03/president-obama-asks-medvedev-for-space-on-missile-defense-after-my-election-i-have-more-flexibility/ SEOUL, South Korea - At the tail end of his 90 minute meeting with Russian President Dmitri Medvedev Monday, President Obama said that he would have "more flexibility" to deal with controversial issues such as missile defense, but incoming Russian President Vladimir Putin needs to give him "space." The exchange was picked up by microphones as reporters were let into the room for remarks by the two leaders. The exchange: President Obama: On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved but it's important for him to give me space. President Medvedev: Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you... President Obama: This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility. President Medvedev: I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir. When asked to explain what President Obama meant, deputy national security adviser for strategic communications Ben Rhodes told ABC News that there is room for the U.S. and Russia to reach an accommodation, but "there is a lot of rhetoric around this issue - there always is - in both countries. A senior administration official tells ABC News: "this is a political year in which the Russians just had an election, we're about to have a presidential and congressional elections - this is not the kind of year in which we're going to resolve incredibly complicated issue like this. So there's an advantage to pulling back and letting the technical experts work on this as the president has been saying." -Jake Tapper |

Mr. Denton's talk will reveal the inner workings of The Times newspaper in London and, most of all, the mind of Editor Geoffrey Dawson during the age of appeasement, from Hitler's reviving of Conscription in Germany in March 1935 to Lord Halifax being sent as Ambassador to Washington in December 1940. Mr. Denton will also discuss how Dawson used The Times to manipulate public opinion and influence government policies to promote an accord with Hitler and Nazism.
In the first of its kind, Mr. Denton, flying in from Europe, will be launching his book, Appeasing Times, through the Temple University Students for Intellectual Freedom platform.
The talk will take place in Mitten Hall 250.
The event is free of charge and open to the public.

The Kitchen Table Patriots are joining with a confederation of other Pennsylvania Tea Party, libertarian, conservative, Constitutional, Patriot, and 9-12, organizations to have a consensus on a single candidate that reflects the passion, principles, values and commitment of the grassroots as well as has the acumen and gravitas to beat Senator Bob Casey in November. All the groups would then commit to supporting this one candidate in the primary.
To that end, we asked you vote for one of the candidates to voice your opinion. Here are the results of that polling:
Candidate | Votes | Steve Welch | 13 | Dave Christian | 21 | Marc Scaringi | 38 | Tom Smith | 90 | Sam Rohrer | 315 |
There will be a press release from the coalition soon that will include the results from all of the groups within the coalition.
We would like to thank everyone who participated in this effort. |
Yours in Liberty, The Kitchen Table Patriots

Dear Fellow Patriot,
We have a choice in this years Pennsylvania Senatorial election that will have far reaching consequences for Pennsylvania.
Roger Howard is challenging Dominic Pileggi in the 9th district. Dominic has never been challenged and with the lack of any reformative legislation coming from Harrisburg along with the redistricting fiasco, he is very vulnerable. Can you imagine replacing the third most powerful Republican in Harrisburg?
Right now what stands in our way is the ability to get the message out. We are ordering yard signs and if we had an extra $1000.00 we could double what we are ordering.
Can you make a small donation of $10, $25 or $50. It would make a big difference. Please go to the web site now

Constitution 101: The Meaning and History of the Constitution
Available to you, your family, your friends, and all Americans.
Weeks One & Two Now Available - Sign Up TODAY!
 | Dr. Larry P. Arnn |
Over the years, many friends of Hillsdale, those who never attended college here, have said to me: "Dr. Arnn, I wish I could take Hillsdale's Constitution course!"
In response to these requests, this past year, for the first time ever, Hillsdale College offered the "Introduction to the Constitution" lecture series at no charge. Frankly, I wasn't sure what sort of a response a course like this would have.
That's why I was excited to see that YOU and almost 200,000 other people from all over the United States registered for "Introduction to the Constitution."
Thank you very much for registering and participating. I hope you learned a lot from the series.
I was thrilled, not only by the response, but at what it indicates: Americans are willing and eager learn about the Constitution and to defend the principles of liberty that made America so prosperous!
And this re-awakening of national interest in the Constitution comes not a minute too soon.
Now, for the first time ever, Hillsdale College is offering a no-cost 10-week online Constitution course based on the class Hillsdale College students must complete for graduation:
"Constitution 101: The Meaning and History of the Constitution"
This course on the U.S. Constitution is available online at no charge to anyone who wants to understand and defend the timeless principles of liberty upon which our nation was founded!
I am proud to be teaching part of our NEW "Constitution 101" course and hope YOU will be one of my students again!
"Constitution 101" begins on February 20, 2012, and concludes the week of April 30. It will cover such topics as the Declaration of Independence and its connection to the Constitution, how the Constitution is structured to protect individual liberty and ensure good government, the crisis of constitutional government faced by Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War, and modern challenges to the Constitution during the "Progressive" era.
It is my honor to teach the first class, "The American Mind," and the final class, "The Recovery of the Constitution." All of the classes will be taught by Hillsdale College professors - the top teachers in their field and the same ones who instruct our students here on Hillsdale's campus.
Classes listed in Blue have been posted on YouTube and can be viewed by clicking on the link for each class below.

The U.S. Constitution
A Reader
Divided into eleven sections with introductions by members of Hillsdale's Politics Department faculty, readings cover the principles of the American founding, the framing and structure of the Constitution, the secession crisis and the Civil War, the Progressive rejection of the Constitution, and the building of the administrative state based on Progressive principles.
Editorial Note: Just received a couple of copies of the reader. Not just a short course pamphlet this; with the heft of 'Atlas Shrugged', it is well worth getting whether or not you choose to take the course.
About Hillsdale College
Hillsdale College is a private, coeducational, residential, liberal arts college with approximately 1,400 students. Founded in 1844, the College remains, in the words of its Articles of Association, "grateful to God for the inestimable blessings resulting from the presence of civil and religious liberty and intelligent piety" in our nation, and dedicated to "the diffusion of sound learning" that is "essential to the perpetuity of these blessings."
Hillsdale College is distinguished by its rigorous core curriculum, by its principled rejection of federal and state taxpayer funding, and by the pledge of its Board of Trustees to resists any attempts by the government to regulate its internal affairs. Hillsdale College promotes the principles of liberty nationwide through its national speech digest, Imprimis, which has a monthly circulation of over 2 million, and through several outreach programs. In 2008, Hillsdale launched its Allan P. Kirby, Jr. Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship in Washington, D.C. The College will also launch the Hillsdale Graduate School of Statesmanship in fall 2012. |

The bad news is last month some well intentioned political activist announced a cut-off date for signing up co-sponsors for Rep. Rose Marie Swanger's American Law's for American Courts (HB 2029) in an effort to inject some urgency into the effort.
What it resulted in was an interruption of the campaign to encourage those Representatives not yet signed on as co-sponsors to join with those Legislators who have already recognized the death by smothering threat to our Constitution.
The good news is there is no cut-off date for adding co-sponsors and we are once again asking your readers to contact their representatives and ask they join the battle.
There are only three Representatives from Bucks who are co-sponsors, Representatives Clymer, Petri and Quinn and we thank them for showing their colors.
But that leaves seven more Representatives who appear to be still standing on the sidelines as the battle for our existence as a free people is joined.
Lame rhetoric? I'm afraid not. If you do not understand the threat we face from 'peaceful' opportunists like CAIR, visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bucksafa11info/messages or contact me at bucksafa11@yahoo.com to schedule an Open the Koran presentation for you and your friends.
If you're ready to help, visit www.actforamerica.org and sign on as a chapter leader. It's free and the people there are friendly and helpful. Your help is needed. Every township, every neighborhood needs an Act! for America chapter leader.
But before you do anything, if your Pennsylvania Representative has not yet ssigned on as co-sponsor, urge her/him to do so and ask what is it that prevents him/her from doing so.
Help Pennsylvania be counted among those States that have shown the courage to face off with the enemies who have plainly stated their aim is to destroy our Nation. Our laws have worked just fine since colonial times. What is needed are politicians who respect them. And you know whose job it is to remind them of that.
Thanks,
John Ryan

CAIR's Fight Against Pennsylvania Foreign Law Bill
by David J. Rusin FrontPage Magazine February 13, 2012
http://www.islamist-watch.org/9192/cair-fight-against-pennsylvania-foreign-law-bill
Resistance to a new bill aimed at limiting foreign law in Pennsylvania courts serves as a case study of how Islamists and their allies operate: peddling falsehoods about Shari'a, painting Muslims as victims, and denying that anyone seeks to institutionalize aspects of Islamic law - even as they vigorously promote that very agenda. With similar legislation being debated across the U.S., understanding their tactics is critical.
At issue in Pennsylvania is House Bill (HB) 2029, which stipulates that "a tribunal shall not consider a foreign legal code or system which does not grant ... the same fundamental liberties, rights and privileges" as guaranteed by the federal and state constitutions. Introduced in November, it follows the American Laws for American Courts (ALAC) model and makes no mention of Shari'a. A preliminary memo sent to legislators last June in the name of Rep. RoseMarie Swanger, HB 2029's chief sponsor, does highlight Islamic law, but she later said that it had been circulated accidentally. Regardless, concerns about Shari'a are warranted due to its many provisions that conflict with the standards of American jurisprudence. For example, it disadvantages women in terms of inheritance, divorce, child custody, and other areas of family law. Shari'a already has shaped numerous cases nationwide, including in Pennsylvania, where one state court decided how assets should be distributed according to Islam.
Pushback against HB 2029 has been led by the Philadelphia office of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-PA) and was punctuated by an interfaith press conference (video here) at CAIR-PA headquarters on December 14. The overall campaign reflects CAIR's usual recipe of distortion, victimology, and contradiction between words and deeds.
Attacks on bills like HB 2029 begin by sowing confusion about Shari'a. Because Islamic law encompasses virtually every facet of life - governing personal activities such as eating and worship, but also forming an oppressive social and legal structure - suit-and-tie Islamists work to emphasize its unthreatening pieces whenever possible. CAIR-PA executive director Moein Khawaja's suggestion that Shari'a should worry Pennsylvanians no more than halal gyros is a fine example of this technique.

From July 16 through July 18, 2012, Christians United for Israel will be holding its 7th Annual Washington Summit. We're going back to stand with Israel in our nation's capital. This year - more than ever - we need you to join us!
In the coming months, critical decisions are going to be made about Iran, Israel and the world. Finally, Washington is beginning to focus on the issue of a nuclear Iran. Many of our leaders want to confront this looming threat. But others want to keep kicking the can down the road. The debate is far from over.
- We know that when thousands of CUFI activists arrive in DC and on Capitol Hill, we can change the conversation.
- We can remind our leaders that a nuclear Iran is not only a threat to Israel, but to the US as well. And we can demonstrate to our elected officials that their constituents care enough about this issue to show up at their DC offices.
- We know that we can create a sense of immediacy that's otherwise lacking.
- We know that the more of us who show up and speak out -- the louder our voice and the greater our impact.
We stand at a critical juncture in history. Don't be silent! Don't miss your chance to make a difference! Don't pass up your opportunity to defend America and bless Israel!
Our leaders need to remember that we are watching them and we need to remember that God is watching us.
The time to speak out for Israel is now! Please register today for CUFI's 2012 DC Summit.

John Stossel - May 2, 2012
The Union League of Philadelphia
Luncheon: 12:00 - 1:30PM

After years of obeying our parents, we are programmed to think that anytime there is a problem, whether it's companies going bankrupt or schools keeping kids stupid, government action is the way to solve it. Using his decades of reporting, Stossel tackles how those intuitive, knee-jerk reactions lead us astray.
Central planning sounds right. It feels good. But it has nothing to do with the realities of economics and science. There is nothing that government can do that we cannot do better as free individuals - and as groups of individuals, working together voluntarily, not at the point of a gun or under threat of a fine. Without big government, our possibilities are limitless.

- Identifies key principles for a better way to reform health care
The unmistakable conclusion of this series is that Obamacare must be fully repealed. Congress cannot build sound market-based health care reform on the flawed foundation of this health care law. Until it can be repealed, Congress must employ its full powers authorized by the Constitution to:

RedState Morning Briefing
For March 27, 2012
1. Obama in South Korea is no Reagan in Reykjavik
One the arguments Mitt Romney's opponents have against him was defined by Romney's own campaign's "etch-a-sketch" comment. No one seems to know what Mitt Romney really stands for and the etch-a-sketch comment gave a visual image, created by Romney's own campaign, to drive home the lack of trust in Mitt Romney.
With an open microphone, Barack Obama has now done the same to himself. One of the arguments Barack Obama's opponents make is that after this next election, Obama will not have to worry about public support for his actions. Without having to worry about losing an election, the President who has already gone to war against religious groups, dragged his feet on oil drilling expansion, and sought to destroy private health care for American citizens will be even more emboldened to bring his European style socialist vision for America to reality.
Speaking before a live mic to Russian President Dmitri Medvedev, President Obama explained to him that he and the Russians could find common ground, but Vladimir Putin would have to give President Obama "space" until after the election. Medvedev questions what President Obama meant about "space." President Obama responded, "This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility."
Just as Romney's words reinforce people's fears that he will say or do anything to get elected, President Obama's words reinforce people's fears that should he win re-election, he will say and do whatever the hell he wants since the voters won't be able to toss him out of office.
2. Handicapping Health Care Supreme Court oral arguments on the Affordable Care Act began Monday. We can expect a decision either in June or October. I predict June. What will it be? I'll go out on a limb and predict Unconstitutional by 5-4. My confidence level is under 60%. I would not be surprised at Unconstitutional, 6-3, but the odds are less than 1%. Constitutional at 6-3 has odds, in my opinion, at 30%. The Court faces five main arguments. 3. FROM RICK SANTORUM: RomneyCare Inspires ObamaCare, But Not America Two years ago, President Obama signed into law ObamaCare, his signature piece of legislation. As a direct result of that law's unpopularity, Congressional Democrats suffered devastating defeats in the midterm election of 2010, losing more than sixty seats in the House. It would be an understatement to say the President's healthcare overhaul law is merely "unpopular." According to several recent polls, Americans still overwhelmingly oppose ObamaCare by a two-to-one margin. Americans understand that not only is this the wrong solution to our healthcare needs and challenges, it is also an affront to freedom that makes our families' health and country's fiscal health more fragile. The 2012 election should be an opportunity for Americans to elect a President committed to ObamaCare's repeal and replacement with sound free-market competition. But that is where this 2012 election has an unusual aspect. The original architect of the Democrats' unpopular healthcare law is himself also running for president on the GOP ticket. Mitt Romney, one of the candidates in the race for the GOP nomination, authored and championed his own version of ObamaCare less than six years ago.

LIBERAL MYTH NO. 1: The Jews stole the land from the Palestinians. REFUTATION: No, they didn't. After the Romans cleared out and decimated the mighty cities built by Jews like King Herod, Palestine was an arid, sparsely populated backwater that was eventually claimed (for land bridge reasons) by the Ottoman Empire, then by the British Empire. Jews have lived in the region continuously for well over 2,000 years. The British found themselves overseeing an indigenous population made up of Jews and Arabs-and sometimes Arab Jews. All were referred to as "Palestinians." Ownership of the land was a patch work. Much of the land was owned by absentee landlords who lived in places like Egypt, and farmed by local Arab Palestinians. This may have made many Palestinians believe it was "their land," but sorry, that just wasn't the case. As the Zionist movement gained traction in the early 1900s, Jews around the world contributed to a fund to buy up tranches of land, and much of the land for the future Jewish state envisioned by the early Zionists was acquired this way. Once again, the poor Arabs living on and farming the land may not have been happy to give up the land they lived on, but it was not "stolen from them," because they didn't own it to begin with.

Obamacare Comes before the Supreme Court
Rare is the occasion when the nine justices of the U.S. Supreme Court gather to hear three days of arguments, and rarer still is when it is for a case like Obamacare -- one that cuts to the core of the Constitution and whose outcome could fundamentally alter the role of the federal government and its power over the people. But today the Court will do just that when it open its doors and begins weighing the arguments on the constitutionality of President Barack Obama's seminal health care law.
Were the American people to vote on the issue, they would fall decidedly against Obamacare, as recent polls have shown. But for the Court, the decision is not as cut and dried as an up or down vote, but one that involves the interplay of a series of issues raised by those who are challenging Obamacare -- more than half the States of the Union and a collection of interested organizations and private parties -- and those brought by the Obama Administration, which is defending the law. And they come to the Supreme Court after conflicting appellate court rulings which have left undecided the question of whether Obamacare is permissible under the Constitution.

Many of you may not be aware....but in Jerusalem, on the Mount of Olives, there is a cemetery encompassing a huge portion of the Mount....dating back, at the bottom of the Mount, to thousands of years ago......and there are perhaps (my estimate, as inaccurate as it is) 75,000 - 100,000 or more buried there.....During the years 1948 - 1967 the Jordanians destroyed thousands of graves, built a road through the cemetery and used the gravestones for roads, latrines, warehouses, and other structures.......NOW, in 2012, there have been innumerable desecrations and destruction of gravestones throughout the Mount of Olives, and ZOA and others are working on the installation of security cameras throughout and the establishment of a full time Police presence on the Mount of Olives cemetery grounds.....AND IN THE VIDEO BELOW we see Libyans destroying a Military cemetery from World War II, the gravestones of men and women who defended THEIR land, and ONLY BECAUSE those buried there are "Infidels"....and just check them attempting to destroy the Cross overlooking the cemetery....and these are the folks our Government recently supported ......We have, sorry to say, a Weak and Uncertain Foreign Policy at every turn of events...in Daniel Pipes' words..."an Amateurish, Inconsistent Policy with No Core Ideas to deal with the Arab Spring" ("Winter" - my description) ....and watching this desecration of an Allied cemetery in Libya just makes one sick..............Howard

Lather, Rinse, and Repeat
By Mark Steyn |March 21, 2012
The killer of French schoolchildren and soldiers turns out to be a man called Mohammed Merah. The story can now proceed according to time-honored tradition:
Stage One: The strange compulsion to assure us that the killer is a "right wing conservative extremist," in the words of NRO commenter ExpatAsia, echoed by Chrisman and Galt's Bain. Up north, this view was shared by Canada's most prominent establishment Jew and the Liberal Party attack poodle Warren Kinsella (whom NR readers may recall from my free-speech cover story, which mentioned the groveling apology he was forced to make to "the Chinese community" after an unfortunately sinophobic cat joke). The insistence that the killer was emblematic of an epidemic of right-wing hate sweeping the planet is, regrettably, no longer operative. Instead, the killer isn't representative of anything at all.
So on to Stage Two: Okay, he may be called Mohammed but he's a "lone wolf." Sure, he says he was trained by al-Qaeda, but what does he know? Don't worry, folks, he's just a lone wolf like Major Hasan and Faisal Shahzad and all the other card-carrying members of the Amalgamated Union of Lone Wolves. All jihad is local.

FIGHTING ISLAMOPHOBIA - WHILE JEWS DIE GrassTopsUSA Exclusive Commentary By Don Feder 03/26/2012 Fighting Islamophobia has become a cause célèbre among both the Jewish establishment and the Jewish farther-left. In the meantime, Jews are being murdered, tortured, attacked, plotted against and vilified in the name of Islam. In the course of his killing spree in the French city of Toulouse last week, Mohammed Merah caught an 8-year-old Jewish girl by the hair, looked into her eyes, and put a bullet in her brain. Merah videotaped the atrocity for the amusement of other jihadists. He also murdered a rabbi and his two young sons. French President Nicholas Sarkozy (who occasionally shows a glimmering of intelligence on the deconstruction of the French nation by immigration) insisted: "The Muslim faith has nothing to do with the insane acts of this man." "Muslims like Jews; Jews like Muslims," French Grand Rabbi Gilles Bernheim babbled. "I love you; you love me; we're a happy family - even if I'm the descendant of apes and swine and you're a holy warrior." And Mohammed Moussaoui, president of CFCM, the largest French Muslim umbrella group, assured all and sundry that Merah's actions were "the very negation of Islam" which "must not cause us to succumb to the panic of stigmatizing Muslims, which feeds Islamophobia." The bodies of four Jews weren't even cold and Moussaoui was fretting about Muslims being stigmatized. The Simon Wiesenthal Center put out a March 22 press release publicizing a poll demonstrating that "a third of Europeans show significant levels of anti-Semitism," including the belief that Jews are a "money-hungry-power-seeking minority" -as if a killer drags an 8-year-old by her hair and shoots her in the head because he thinks Jews are greedy. On March 14 in New York City, Rabbi Marc Schneier and Imam Shamsi Ali put on their "Combating Islamophobia" dog-and-pony show at the Upper West Side Jewish Community Center, moderated by none other than Chelsea Clinton. Displaying classic symptoms of Jewish guilt, the audience was lectured on (one-way) tolerance. Rabbi Schneier and his Imam Tonto were last heard from protesting Rep. Peter King's very useful hearings on extremism among U.S. Muslims. Hear no evil, see no evil. Combating is not enough; we must also challenge. Further left, Jews Against Islamophobia is hosting a March 29th symposium, "Challenging Islamophobia" at the Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew on Manhattan's tony West End Avenue. "This will be an opportunity to learn about the issues they (the Muslim community) are addressing - such as police surveillance, detention, infringements on civil and human rights," the group's website discloses. Jews Against is trying to get New York Police Chief Ray Kelly fired for monitoring extremist groups, thus infringing their civil and human rights. Anti-Islamophobia fever is running high. Around the time of Rosh Hashanah in 2010, Rabbi David Saperstein, who runs Reform Judaism's Religious Action Center, urged American Jewry to "speak more directly to the anti-Muslim bigotry in America today," manifested by overwhelming public opposition to building a mosque - excuse me, "community center" - not far from the place where 3,000 Americans were murdered by individuals who were "the very negation of Islam" - except for the jihad thing. At the same time, the Anti-Defamation League (which rarely misses a chance to defame conservative Christians) announced that it had organized an Interfaith Coalition on Mosques to respond to anti-Muslim blah, blah, blah, generated by attempts to build said temples of tolerance and understanding. The ADL does not deign to notice the fact that 80% of U.S. mosques contain extremist literature, according to the Mapping Sharia Project. And last August, the ADL's inimitable Abraham Foxman did a commentary for the Jewish Telegraphic Agency titled "Shout Down the Sharia Myth Makers," wherein he revealed that "concerns about creping Sharia" (Muslim law) are the "stuff of pure paranoid fantasy" and "pander to bigotry and fear." For facilitating the spread of Islam in this country, which is just swell for the Jewish people, Foxman is rewarded with $624,000 annually. Sadly, the fine work of Foxman, Schneier, Saperstein and their colleagues is continually undermined by the deeds and words of Muslims. All over the world, the most horrific crimes are committed in the name of the Religion of Peace.
* In 2006, Parisian Jew Ilan Halimi was kidnapped and tortured to death by a Muslim gang - stabbed multiple times, burned with acid, and had cigarettes put out on his face. Finally, he was set on fire and dumped on railroad tracks. There were burns over 80% of his body. His screams could be heard for weeks throughout the Muslim tenement where he was held. No one called the police, but many joined in the fun. * It takes a special kind of hatred to repeatedly stab an infant through the heart. Last year, in the Jewish community of Itamar, North of Jerusalem, Palestinians invaded the home of Ruth and Udi Fogel. The parents were killed. Then the practitioners of peace went to work on the kids. Yoav (age 11), Elad (age 4) and three-month old Hadas were stabbed through the heart and had their throats slit. Word of the atrocities was greeted with jubilation on the Palestinian street; where candy was distributed to children to celebrate this great victory over the Jewish people. * In 2008, when terrorists of the Pakistani Lashkar-e-Taiba attacked the Indian city of Mumbai, they specifically targeted its Chabad House, run by Hasidic Jews. The terrorists were told by their handlers that, when it came to the body count, the lives Jews were worth "50 times those of non-Jews." Among the victims were Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg and his pregnant wife Rivka, who were sexually assaulted and genitally mutilated. An Indian doctor who examined the bodies said he was "traumatized" by the brutality of the torture - thus demonstrating, if further proof was necessary, how much Muslims like Jews. * Mirroring a pattern throughout Europe, the Jewish community of Malmo, Sweden has declined from 2,000 to 700 in the past 20 years. The exodus is paralleled by the growth of Malmo's Muslims, now 60,000 out of a population of 280,000. With .0025% of the city's population, Jews account for 45% of its hate crimes. Malmo Rabbi Shneur Kesselman told an interviewer in 2010: "In the past five years I've been here, I think you can count on your hand how many incidents (anti-Jewish hate crimes) there have been from the extreme right. In my personal experience, it's 99% Muslim." Guess who won't be speaking at the next Jews Against Islamophobia conference?
|
Where do terrorists get such outlandish notions about Islam (that their faith requires them to kill Jews?) - from some of the leading religious authorities and personalities in the Muslim world. As the Imam of Mecca's Grand Mosque, Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais probably knows a thing or two about Islam. Al-Sudais has called for the annihilation of the Jewish people. According to the Grand Imam, Jews are the "scum of the earth," and the descendants of "monkeys and pigs," a motif found in the Koran. Muhammad Hussein Yacoub, a prominent Salafi scholar, says: "We (Muslims) must believe that our fighting with the Jews is eternal, and it will not end until the final battle ... until not a single Jew remains on the face of the earth." The website of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood reads like Der Sturmer in Arabic. Laced with Holocaust denial and conspiracy theories, much space is devoted to an assessment of "the covetous and exploitive nature of the Jewish character." "One day we will kill all Jews," is a favorite chant at the group's rallies. Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the Egyptian Brotherhood's chief theologian, says Allah used Hitler to punish the Jews "for their corruption" and "Allah willing, the next time will be at the hands of believers." This is the gang whose rise to power was abetted by Barack Obama. Former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Muhammed believes "the Jews rule the world by proxy. They invented socialism, communism, human rights and democracy so that persecuting them would appear to be wrong so they may enjoy equal rights with others." Former Turkish Prime Minister Necmettin Erbakan agrees, claiming the Jews decided to change Christianity by founding Protestantism, control China's and India's industrial development (also known as the Sino-Indo-Judeo-Protestant Conspiracy Theory) and "started 19 Crusades," including World War I. When it comes to Jews, there is no charge too bizarre or farfetched not to be eagerly embraced by the Muslim street - including the modern equivalent of well-poisonings and the blood libel. A decade ago, "The Protocols of The Elders of Zion" was dramatized on Egyptian television. If an Arab leader falls out of favor with his subjects, rumors immediately begin circulating that he's a crypto-Jew or has Jewish blood. This even includes rabid anti-Semites like Moammar Khadafy and Bashar al-Assad, who supports both Hamas and Hezbollah. The worst insult in the Arab world is to call someone a "Yahood" (Jew) - a favorite term of abuse for U.S. soldiers serving in Iraq. How can anyone without ideological blinders fail to see it? Islam is the greatest threat to Jewish survival. Who wants to wipe Israel off the map - The Unitarian Universalist Republic of Iran? Whose rise to power in Egypt has driven anti-Semitic rhetoric to new heights - the International Ladies' Garment Workers Union? Immigrants of which faith community have fueled the greatest explosion of European anti-Semitism since Kristallnacht - the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? And still the liberal Jewish establishment and Jewish activists further left bleat about Islamophobia. Makes sense. For them, evidence is irrelevant, reality doesn't exist and the Woolly Mammoth in the living room goes unnoticed. What they call Islamophobia is actually a healthy survival instinct.

"It doesn't matter if you're black or white," Michael Jackson sang, even as he embarked on a journey to crudely transform himself from one to the other through plastic surgery. Around the same time a biracial man who had grown up in a white family was protesting on behalf of a vehemently racist black professor. That man, who would later make it to the Senate and then the White House, chose to identify as black. In the Chicago Tribune, Obama's hometown paper, its columnist, Leonard Pitts Jr, insists that George Zimmerman is white because race is a construct and whiteness is not color, but privilege, making it completely indistinguishable from class. To indict Zimmerman, who is Hispanic and part of a multi-racial family structure, as a white racist, Pitts is forced to argue that race isn't race. Anyone who is of the "oppressed of the earth" is really black and anyone who is privileged is white. This news comes a little too late to spare Michael Jackson millions of dollars in plastic surgery, which he didn't need because he had actually turned "white" once he became successful. It also makes it impossible to have a black president, since the very path that leads to the White House lifts one out of the status of blackness and into whiteness. Barack Obama has as much claim to being a black president, as Clinton did, less since Clinton was at least born into poverty, while Obama was the grandson of a bank president. The Pittsian notion of race opens up all sorts of possibilities. The white homeless veteran on the curb is actually black. The CEO of BET is actually white. But then why bother using race as a metaphor for class at all except in the service of exploiting racial hatred and stereotypes? Why not just revert to the old left's class warfare without any Jacksonian confusion about color theory? Coding privilege as white and oppression as black is outdated but political useful, it rewards the base of a particular party, while fostering conflict and confusing identity. In a prosperous country, using the civil rights movement as the keystone moment bypasses any questions about socialism and power, and cuts straight to the burden of guilt.

Obama, if wind works so well why are Scots facing "heat or eat?" and paying over $7.00 for gas?
Mar 26, 2012 06:13 am | Coach Collins
By Kevin "Coach" Collins
Scotland, one of Barack Obama's models for his bogus wind power scam has literally seen the wind go out of her socialist politically correct sails.
Scotland is the poster boy for the failure of wind power as a genuine source of energy. All of the high and mighty talk about wind as a viable alternative source of energy is now gone, not in the strong productive winds of the drawing board, but with the gentle breezes that are Scotland's reality.
The Scottish government's ill-advised but politically correct "wind; not fossil fuel" scheme has so devastated the average Scottish household's economy that many have been confronted with the choice of "heat or eat."
Scotland's falling for the global warming hoax is killing people. The problem is so well understood it has a name: "fuel poverty."
The cost comparison between relying on wind power versus using plentiful and efficient natural gas is ... Continue Reading:Obama, if wind works so well why are Scots facing "heat or eat?" and paying over $7.00 for gas?

American Minute March 25

"Old Hickory!" During the Revolution, young Andrew Jackson refused to polish the boots of a British officer and was slashed on the arm with a sword and jailed. His mother died of prison fever while caring for captured American soldiers. Jackson carried a bullet in his body from a duel defending his wife's honor. In the last battle of the War of 1812, General Andrew Jackson defeated 10,000 British troops, suffering only 71 casualties as compared to the British's 2,000. On January 30, 1835, President Andrew Jackson survived an assassination attempt when Richard Lawrence fired two pistols at him at point blank range. Davy Crockett, who was with the President, disarmed the assailant. On MARCH 25, 1835, Andrew Jackson wrote in a letter: "I was brought up a rigid Presbyterian, to which I have always adhered. Our excellent Constitution guarantees to every one freedom of religion, ... Continue Reading:American Minute March 25

Cowardly congress won't investigate Manchurian Candidate Obama

by George Spelvin, staff writer
No hearings into Barack Hussein Obama's eligibility to hold the office of President of the United States will be held nor or any even scheduled, a spokeswoman for House Majority Leader Eric Cantor said on Wednesday, March 21, at 1:04 p.m. "NO," she answered in curt reply to the question, "Do You Have Any Hearings Scheduled?" even though Obama does not pass an E-verify check and the Arpaio investigation by seasoned law enforcement and legal personnel turned up very credible evidence of "fraud and forgery" in birth certificate and selective service documents on file for the sitting president!
Democrat attorney Larry Klayman, founder of Judicial Watch and Freedom Watch USA, filed a lawsuit in Broward Country Florida on behalf of Democrat Michael Voeltz, on March 20, citing suspicions that Obama might not have been born in the U.S. and the fact that his father never was a U.S. citizen." Fox News - March 22, 2012

Megyn Kelly: Former Lt Governor Betsy McCaughey "went on the Glenn Beck show to warn about some healthcare provisions in the stimulus bill. Months later she went through the massive first draft of what would become the health care overhaul law and sent an even louder message of warning about what it would mean to every American. Before long she was coming under serious attack. I remember being on America's Newsroom with Bill Hemmer when we had you on. You were sounding some of these alarm bells well before the town halls, well before the American public really got tuned in to what was in the then bill and started raising concerns about it."
Look for email correspondence this week as Betsy McCaughey gives you a breakdown of the daily arguments from the Supreme Court. With the Constitution on our side, FREEDOM WILL PREVAIL.

Brief · March 26, 2012
The Foundation
"[W]hen all government, domestic and foreign, in little as in great things, shall be drawn to Washington as the center of all power, it will render powerless the checks provided of one government on another." --Thomas Jefferson
Essential Liberty
"On Monday, ObamaCare will get its first of several days before the Supreme Court. All nine justices (no recusals) will hear six hours of argument spread over three days. Here's what to expect: Monday, March 27, 10:00 a.m. -- The Court will hear 90 minutes of argument on whether a federal tax law bars any challenge to the mandate requiring all individuals to purchase or obtain health insurance. ... Tuesday, March 27, 10:00 a.m. -- The Court will hear two hours of argument on the main event: the constitutionality of the individual insurance mandate that requires all Americans to buy a health insurance policy or be subject to a penalty imposed by the IRS. ... Wednesday, March 28, 10:00 a.m. -- The Court will hear 90 minutes of argument on the issue of severability: can any part of the ObamaCare Act survive if the Court were to strike down the individual insurance mandate or any other part of the law? ... Wednesday, March 28, 1:00 p.m. -- The Court will hear a final hour of argument examining the constitutionality of ObamaCare's expansion of the federal Medicaid program. ... As always, the sessions will not be televised. However, the Court has promised to release the audio file of the oral arguments by 2:00 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, and by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. And no, I don't know how you can get a ticket to get in to hear the arguments other than by standing in line with everyone else for what will be the most important case decided by the Supreme Court since Brown v. Board of Education. It will be a momentous week for the interests of liberty, freedom, and the preservation of a constitutional republic." --Heritage Foundation Senior Fellow Hans A. von Spakovsky
What do you expect will be the final ruling on ObamaCare?
Government
"Whether or not the individual mandate in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) proves to be constitutionally valid, it is based on mistaken premises, faulty economic analysis, short-sighted politics, and seriously flawed health policy. ... The strongest constitutional law arguments against the PPACA's individual mandate begin with the essential point that it is unprecedented and not bound by any limiting principle. It seriously threatens the concept that enumerated powers under the Constitution set some limits on the scope of permissible federal authority. ... But the mandate is troubling for other reasons. Defining and implementing a mandate entails many additional rules regarding exactly what it requires, how to carry it out, and who pays for it. Once we presume government is ultimately responsible for guaranteeing every American has purchased the required health insurance, we also guarantee a permanent and ever-more-intrusive role for politicians and their favored interest groups in translating that goal into practice. ... Insurance mandates that conscript more individuals to pay for new, expanded coverage can act like a tax to help fund additional health spending. ... Not surprisingly, an individual mandate has the least support from those it is purported to help: people who currently do not enroll in public coverage or employer-sponsored insurance or purchase individual coverage. Trying to force people to buy insurance they cannot afford or coercing them into paying more for coverage than its perceived value remains politically difficult." --American Enterprise Institute's Thomas P. Miller
For the Record
"[T]he Institute for Justice, a libertarian public interest law firm, has focused on this fact: The individual mandate is incompatible with centuries of contract law. ... The brief, the primary authors of which are IJ's Elizabeth Price Foley and Steve Simpson, says Obamacare is the first time Congress has used its power to regulate commerce to produce a law 'from which there is no escape.' ... Throughout the life of this nation it has been understood that for a contract to be valid, the parties to it must mutually assent to its terms -- without duress. In addition to duress, contracts are voidable for reasons of fraud upon, or the mistake or incapacity of, a party to the contract. This underscores the centrality of the concept of meaningful consent in contract law. To be meaningful, consent must be informed and must not be coerced. Under Obamacare, the government will compel individuals to enter into contractual relations with insurance companies under threat of penalty. ... Furthermore, although the Constitution permits Congress to make laws 'necessary and proper' for executing its enumerated powers, such as the power to regulate interstate commerce, it cannot, IJ argues, be proper to exercise that regulatory power in ways that eviscerate 'the very essence of legally binding contracts.' ... IJ correctly says that if the court were to ratify Congress' disregard for settled contract law, Congress' 'power to compel contractual relations would have no logical stopping point.' Which is why this case is the last exit ramp on the road to unlimited government." --columnist George Will
The Gipper
"[I]t doesn't require expropriation or confiscation of private property or business to impose socialism on a people. ... The government can find some charge to bring against any concern it chooses to prosecute. Every businessman has his own tale of harassment. Somewhere a perversion has taken place. Our natural, inalienable rights are now considered to be a dispensation of government, and freedom has never been so fragile, so close to slipping from our grasp as it is at this moment." --Ronald Reagan
Political Futures
"[I]f Mitt wins the nomination, as seems very likely, I will enthusiastically support his candidacy. For my friends who have hesitation on that score, I'd just ask you to keep four things in mind: Justice Scalia just turned 78, Justice Kennedy will turn 78 later this year, Justice Breyer will be 76 in August, and Justice Ginsburg turned 81 about a week ago. We wish them all well, of course, but the brute fact is that whoever we elect as president in November is almost certainly going to choose at least one and maybe more new members of the Supreme Court -- in addition to hundreds of other life-tenured federal judges, all of whom will be making momentous decisions about our lives for decades to come. If you don't think it matters whether the guy making those calls is Mitt Romney or Barack Obama, I think you're smokin' something funky." --columnist Andrew McCarthy
Opinion in Brief
"We're constantly told that the way to fix the country is to dethrone the left and right and empower the middle. ... What if instead the solution is to disempower the national elites who think they've got the answers to everything? Federalism -- the process whereby you push most political questions to the lowest democratic level possible -- has been ripe on the right for years now. It even had a champion in Texas Gov. Rick Perry, and Ron Paul still carries that torch. The main advantage of federalism is more fundamental than the so-called 'laboratories of democracy' idea. Federalism is simply the best political system ever conceived of for maximizing human happiness. A one-size-fits-all policy imposed at the national level has the potential to make very large numbers of citizens unhappy, even if it was arrived at democratically. ... A left-right federalist compromise would make America a happier, freer, more prosperous and interesting country. It would also dethrone those in both parties who think they know what's best for more than 300 million Americans." --columnist Jonah Goldberg
Re: The Left
"Even though President Obama realizes that exploding gasoline prices are beginning to incinerate his reelection bid, his only remaining, but favorite, defense is demonizing 'Big Oil.' Too bad for him it is factually false. First, the oil and gas industry [is] one of the main 'drivers' of the U.S. economy, and is, perhaps the only, short-term solution to our economic recovery. A report from the World Economic Forum, in conjunction with IHS-CERA, shows the oil and gas industry drives U.S. job creation, with oil and natural gas production accounting for 9% of new U.S. jobs last year. ... In 2011, ExxonMobil paid $108.1 billion in total worldwide taxes, up from $89.2 billion in 2010, according to its filings, with the income tax portion being $30.5 billion. Exxon also pays taxes to foreign governments where it operates. As to ExxonMobil's United States share, they paid $12.3 billion for federal, state, sales, property, and excise taxes. Overall, that makes Exxon the biggest payer of U.S. corporate taxes. ... President Barack Obama may get 'burned' by this very open and fact-free 'Grand Deceit,' just as he did for his falsely blaming Republicans for the failure of the debt-ceiling negotiations." --columnist Jeffrey Klein
Reader Comments
"It is disturbing that Alexander's commentary on the power of women voters, 'Who Will Elect the Next President?,' received so few reader comments. Either your readers were confused by the subject line and thought the topic was the Electoral College, or too many conservatives really don't get the fact, as Alexander made plain, that the next election WILL be decided by women." --Politickler
"OK Alexander, you left out one factor in regard to how women vote, and as a woman who knows lots of other women, let me assure you that we also vote for men, and women when they are on the ballot, who look the part. Yes, the appearance of a candidate really matters to many of us, though it does not trump more cerebral characteristics." --California Lady Liberty
Editor's Reply: Well, truth be told, several of our in-house experts noted appearance as a factor, but as the author of this essay, I could not bring myself do suggest that "good looks" is a factor. But I thank you for mentioning it so I can post YOUR view without undue criticism.
"We vote Democrat too often because we make decisions that are driven by emotion more than reason and logic. I want an honest man with the guts to do what is right -- not just what is politically expedient. I am amazed how many of my well educated colleagues let emotions lead their political views, rather than overarching issues like Liberty and, as you often note, its Rule of Law foundation. The Democrats have thoroughly exploited this angle!" --Lone Star Lawyer
"Alexander wrote, 'During Women's History Month,' Obama proclaimed, 'we ... reaffirm our steadfast commitment to the rights, security and dignity of women...' Apparently Obama is not too troubled by the abysmal treatment of women in the Muslim dominated societies with whom he seems so intent on making nice." --Traveller
"The Ryan Plan is a good start, but needs to go much further and get rid of the Department of Education that doesn't educate, the Department of Energy that has never produced any energy, the Environmental Protection Agency that destroys the economy in frivolous illegal regulations, and the IRS with the implementation of a flat tax." --wjm
"Paul Ryan's plan, while commendable, does not go far enough. We need bold action now like what Senator Rand Paul is putting forward!" --Todd
"I am by no means putting down SEAL Team Six's success on deep sixing UBL but Joe Biden shouldn't forget the audacity of Operation Eagle Claw, The Son Tay Raid, or the Raid at Cabanatuan (resulting in the rescue of more than 500 Americans). These are but just three that come to mind from the last 67 years. I would also like to mention, though not as dangerous, that there was an equally audacious raid on December 16, 1773, when a ragtag group of Patriots stood up to an empire." --Rouhana
The Last Word
"I write about a lot of things on my blog and in my columns. But I also leave a lot of news uncovered -- because, simply, there isn't enough time in the day. This week, progressives and lib media activists elevated a tragic Florida shooting involving a 17-year-old boy into the cause celebre of the week. ... [F]or the past several days, zealous libs on Twitter have demanded that I 'say something.' Why? Because they've turned the horrible death of Trayvon Martin into a racial litmus test. And now, Barack Obama is all too willing to pour gas on the fire. 'President Obama weighed in Friday on the shooting of unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin, calling it a national tragedy -- and saying that the young man reminded him of his own children. "When I think about this boy, I think about my own kids," Obama said in Rose Garden remarks. ... "My main message is to the parents of Trayvon Martin. You know, if I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon," Obama said. "All of us as Americans are going to take this with the seriousness it deserves."' ... What do Trayvon's race and looks have to do with anything? The political opportunism undercuts the very 'seriousness' Obama purports to display. The Al Sharpton/New Black Panthers Party-led mob is forging ahead with its polarizing racial profiling narratives [including a $10,000 bounty for capturing the shooter] despite the fact that the alleged shooter is Hispanic and multiracial. ... No matter. The blame game bonanza is in full swing, with Barack Obama's tacit consent." --columnist Michelle Malkin

Monday, March 26, 2012 To: Friends & Supporters From: Gary L. Bauer COUNTDOWN TO VICTORY: 225 DAYS TO THE 2012 ELECTIONS Boiling The Racial Pot Seventeen year-old Trayvon Martin and neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman had a confrontation on a dark street in Sanford, Florida, last month. There was a fight and Zimmerman, who is Hispanic, fatally shot Martin, who was black. Martin's parents received the news that every parent dreads when the phone rings late at night -- their son was dead. Zimmerman's friends and family say he was distraught and wept for days over the fact that he had taken a life in what he says was self-defense. Sadly, the political left, big media and an assortment of race baiters like Al Sharpton have rushed to judgment, attempting to exploit the pain of this tragic confrontation for their own ideological agendas. This unholy alliance didn't say a word about the 49 people who were shot -- 10 fatally -- in Chicago during one weekend this month. Virtually all of the victims were black, as were the shooters. Where was the outrage? In the Sanford shooting, the media immediately adopted the narrative that it was further evidence of the rampant racism in America, even though both men were racial minorities and Zimmerman comes from a biracial family and has numerous black friends. The New Black Panther Party saw its chance to add to the hate by calling on black men to volunteer to track Zimmerman down. It even offered a $10,000 reward for him -- dead or alive. Attorney General Eric Holder's Justice Department announced that it would investigate the Sanford Police Department. But it was silent on the Panther's call for vigilante justice. Predictably, Barack Obama jumped in too, even though he has no more information than anyone else. His comments followed to the letter the left-wing script -- pointing out that we had to get justice in the case because if he had a son, he would look like Trayvon Martin. And his point was what? Absent evidence that the shooting was racially motivated, the fact that Trayvon Martin was black is irrelevant. Sadly, President Obama, who millions of Americans had hoped would bring racial reconciliation, has a well-established pattern of stoking the fires of racial antagonism. Remember in July 2009 when Obama, with no facts to speak of, accused Cambridge, Massachusetts, police of acting "stupidly" when they arrested his friend Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates? Then he cited the "long history" of police mistreatment of minorities. The facts of that case ultimately supported the cops Obama called "stupid." When Arizona passed a law in 2010 to stop the influx of illegal immigrants into the state, Obama once again stoked fears. He said that under the law, if you are Hispanic and don't "have your papers and you took your kid out to get ice cream, you're going to be harassed." Once again facts didn't bear out the president's accusation. I couldn't help but notice that Obama's accusation that the Arizona police would harass Hispanics without sufficient evidence is exactly what Mr. Obama is doing to the Hispanic Mr. Zimmerman when he assumes the shooting was racially motivated. The legacy of racial discrimination haunts America. The overwhelming majority of Americans of all races want reconciliation. They also want good schools, safe streets, strong families and national healing. It is sad and infuriating that so many left-wing ideologues are willing to fan the flames of racial discord, incite vigilante justice and exploit racial division for political gain. Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman deserve justice delivered in a fair trial with an unbiased jury, something the left has made far more difficult. America deserves political leadership that tries to heal our national wounds instead of rubbing them raw. ObamaCare On Trial: Day One The United States Supreme Court kicked off day one of its marathon, three-day hearing into the constitutionality of ObamaCare by first debating whether they could even rule on the issue this year. The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, based in Richmond, Virginia, had declared that it could not rule on ObamaCare because of an obscure 1867 law prohibiting lawsuits against taxes until such time as the taxes are collected. But the first tax penalties under ObamaCare are not collected until 2015. As the New York Times notes, the Obama Administration is in a bit of a bind here. It wants a decision sooner rather than later. But it has had its own difficulty at times in trying to determine whether the individual mandate was a penalty or a tax. You may recall that President Obama once got into a heated exchange with ABC's George Stephanopoulos over the issue and vehemently denied that the mandate constituted a tax. Yet the administration is defending ObamaCare based on Congress' authority to levy taxes. Neither the administration nor the states suing to overturn ObamaCare want the high court to punt the case until 2015. No one wants to waste time implementing the law at the state or federal level only to have it declared null and void three years from now. And reports this afternoon suggest the justices were skeptical that the 1867 law would preclude a ruling this year. We will keep you posted. Hands Off My Health Care! Tomorrow thousands of Americans are coming to Washington, D.C., to demand respect for the Constitution and our freedoms, and to tell the politicians to keep their hands off our health care!
