Glenn Beck Unveils 'Anonymous for Good'
The Blaze | by Tiffany Gabbay | Posted on January 24, 2012 at 8:26pm
Many of you may be familiar with the hacking-collective "Anonymous" and the group's use of a computer synthesized voice often featured in its various initiatives.
Playing on the group's theme, Glenn Beck launched a video ad of his own entitled, "Anonymous for Good." He previewed the video on Tuesday evening's episode of The Glenn Beck Program.
"This is a message from goodness," the computerized voice begins, adding that we the people "have been silent" and "complacent" for too long while evil has ravaged the country and world at large.

Hi group,
Just a plain text email this time, too much material to include the fancy logos.
1. Communicate with our State Committee members re: endorsement 2. Facebook training tonight 3. Modern-day examples of Declaration of Independence "Injuries and Usurpations"
4. Pipeline petition
1) Why try to create a wave in the ocean when we can ride one that's already there?
On Jan 28, the PA GOP State Committee members will convene to discuss whether to endorse in the US Senate race before the primary. There has been much buzz going on in the state; should we have our State Committee members endorse before the primary or should we let an open primary decide who the GOP supports? In my opinion, I'm concerned that there may be an expectation by PA GOP leadership for the State Committee folks to vote for a certain candidate. But what if that candidate is not who the majority of the people want? What criteria are used to pick the endorsement? How much weight does Tom Corbett's endorsement of Steve Welch carry? Trickle-down economics, okay. But trickle-down politics, NO. Would it not seem ridiculous if the NFC picked the Giants to be the NFC Champions before the season even started, regardless of the fact that the Eagles might be the only team good enough to win the Super Bowl? Let the candidates fight it out, let the people get to know their message and talents, and let a primary show who has the people's support.
I suggest we email our Montgomery County State Committee people, and politely and respectfully request they vote for no endorsement before the primary. Many already agree. A few of these folks are friends of our group/ the movement. This is about improving our chances to beat Casey, so whether you agree with me or not, let these elected folks know how to represent you.
For more background, check the "Brusfires" section of our website - letters I've written to the State Committee members: http://centralmontcoptpp.us2.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=3b8bfad4a4209846229b1542e&id=e5819cb350&e=9586516cef

State Committee Endorsement Record; Advice from State Committeewoman
Attached is a list of state committee members who were polled at the 2011 September State Committee Meeting.
Members where asked: Are you in favor of State Committee endorsing candidates before the primary?
The response choices are across the top of the spread sheet: Strongly Agree/ Agree/No Opinion/ Disagree/Strongly Disagree.
It was only one man working by himself to gather information, so there isn't a lot of information. Also entered is the voting record from 2011 and 2010 votes in favor of endorsing. There might be some mistakes as the data was gathered by hand during the endorsement vote...as in missing information. State Committee keeps an official record which they always promise to make available but never do.
Note there was a significant change in members between the 2010 vote and 2011.
Please note that 2010 has more than one vote as there was a vote to endorse each candidate position in this order: Senate, Governor and Lt. Gov. (yes/no actually means yes/yes/no) I think you can figure out the rest.
The purpose of the list is to narrow down who is for and against the endorsement process. Your efforts to contact members of state committee and encouraging others to do so is appreciated. It is a lobbying process...please be polite and respectful when you share your concerns.
(Maybe they have never heard of the pros and cons of the endorsement process. State committee meetings are run so tightly, members are not given the opportunity to debate the endorsement process.OVER and over again, the PA GOP leadership tells committeemen it is their job to endorse candidates. It is rare for a committee person to hear from their constituents. The most influence comes from their constituents who elected them.
Destroying the theory that it is the job as a committee person to endorse candidates is the fact that only three states endorse candidates before the primary: Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey.

The Kitchen Table Patriots has issued the following press release today:
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Anastasia Przbylski Co-Chair, The Kitchen Table Patriots Phone: +1 (215) 534-1851 EMail:TheKitchenTablePatriots@GMail.com Web:http://www.TheKitchenTablePatriots.org Social:https://www.facebook.com/KitchenTablePatriots Monday, January 23, 2012 The Kitchen Table Patriots Call on The Pennsylvania State Republican Committee to Support an Open Primary for US Senate. Doylestown, PA: As the field of solid Republican Pennsylvania Senatorial candidates takes shape, it is imperative that the people speak regarding their personal choices in seeing the one they feel best qualified among the group advance forward as the viable contender. Given that the Pennsylvania State GOP has in the past picked the candidate they believed best represented the interests of the party, now is the time among grassroots organizations throughout Pennsylvania to call for NO endorsement by the GOP power brokers. We have a wide range of Senatorial Candidates who are seeking the opportunity to run against Senator Bob Casey in the Fall. The Kitchen Table Patriots and FreedomWorks are joining a coalition of grassroots groups and calling on other groups throughout Pennsylvania to join with them in this initiative, protesting any move by the State GOP to endorse, proceed, and use their political muscle to move their preferential pick forward. It is crucial that the people decide through listening to each candidate's message, and formulating their own ideas and beliefs on who can take the State forward and effectively deal with the manifesting problems that temper the Obama Administration. Lois Kaneshiki of the Blair County Republican Women and the Pennsylvania Precinct Project put it this way, "It is important that the Republican electorate understand how their Primary election has been hijacked before they even cast their vote. Only the Republican rank and file can return the party to republican voters." Anastasia Przybylski, FreedomWorks PA state Coordinator and Co-Chair of The Kitchen Table Patriots said "I lost faith in the Pennsylvania State Committee when they endorsed Senator Arlen Spector over Pat Toomey in 2004. It was then that I realized the party was out of touch with fiscal conservatives like myself." We are calling for support among other grassroots organizations to take this message to the State GOP especially since this practice has gone out of favor and is out of touch with 21th century multimedia and internet powered elections and a far more informed and engaged electorate. Hey All, Please spread the word on this panel discussion and consider attending. As per earlier emails, implementing an exchange in PA is de-facto acceptance of ObamaCare. Other states have refused to implement the exchanges in keeping with the spirit of total resistance. Nick Pandelides is leading the fight for our side and is on the panel. There will be more coming out shortly on next steps that individuals and groups can do lobby Harrisburg and exert public pressure to have Pennsylvania's collaboration with ObamaCare ended. THE ISSUE: The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act mandates that small businesses and individuals must purchase health insurance and obtain government insurance subsidies through state-based federally regulated health insurance exchanges beginning in 2014. States which do not design and administer federally compliant exchanges will default to a federal system. A recent PA Insurance Department announcement that a state-based exchange will be created in PA has generated controversy. Supporters say an exchange designed and administered in PA will serve Pennsylvanians better than one controlled by the federal government. Opponents say it is inconsistent for the Commonwealth to institute provisions of the PPACA while engaged in the constitutional challenge against the law. Our experts will present both sides and answer questions to help YOU decide.
The Lehigh Valley COALITION for Health Care Reform is a non-profit, non-partisan grassroots coalition of concerned citizens and health care professionals committed to educating the public about the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) and other measures and policies impacting America's health.

But what IS nullification? How does it happen and work? Since September 2010, the Tenth Amendment Center has been hosting a national tour to educate and activate people on this topic. The Case Against Obamacare: Health Care Policy Series for the 112th Congress
A Health Care Policy Series for the 112th Congress
Building on decades of Heritage research, The Case Against Obamacare: A Health Care Policy Series for the 112th Congress examines 15 key provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Each report:
- Cites specific sections of the 2,700-page health care law
- Provides detailed analysis of specific Obamacare provisions
- Identifies key principles for a better way to reform health care
The unmistakable conclusion of this series is that Obamacare must be fully repealed. Congress cannot build sound market-based health care reform on the flawed foundation of this health care law. Until it can be repealed, Congress must employ its full powers authorized by the Constitution to:

Lou Flanagan, House Bill 934: Voter ID
"My state Rep. Warren Kampf responded to my question about where the Voter ID bill stands in Harrisburg. His response appears at end of this emaiI. It seems clear that unless we apply pressure to the state senate government committee, this bill will go nowhere. My questions for them are: Where do you stand on the bill? What are you doing to move it out of committee? If you oppose it, tell me why. Who on the committee is against it, and why? Louis: Thank you for the email regarding Voter ID (House Bill 934). The House passed Voted ID on June 23rd. I voted for this bill if you will remember. It is now the responsibility of the Senate to take action to continue to move HB 934 forward. I would advise you to contact the Senators who comprise the Senate State Government Committee, those in Senate leadership positions and your local Senator to let them know of your desire to move this forward. Also you may ask for an accounting of why this has been held up and not considered. Please let me know if I can help with other state-related matters. Voter Cheating
You know, comrades," says Stalin, "that I think in regard to this: I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how; but what is extraordinarily important is this - who will count the votes, and how. (Boris Bazhanov's Memoirs of Stalin's Former Secretary,1992, only available in Russian. Russia's Vladimir Putin is accused of voter fraud and failure to solve problems with health care availability, immigration control, and unsustainable pensions. Sound familiar? Absolutely. Will he lie? Absolutely. But unlike Obama's ACORN, he will probably admit it.
Background
There are several lines of independent evidence for cheating in the 2012 election:
a) 12/30/11, Voter ID: PA House Bill 934
Eric Holder has ordered his staff not to meddle with cases of voter fraud that involve minorities (J. Christian Adams has written widely about such cases), Salina Zito (Pittsburgh Tribune-Review) predicted that PA in November '12 will go according to the Philadelphia suburbs, ACORN has both a record for voter scams and operates new sites in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, our State Attorney General is stepping aside, and there is little public information about Mayor Nutter's views on this matter. Meanwhile, there is an early February deadline from our Governor as Republicans in the PA legislature attempt to define a list of acceptable IDs and Democrats cry that minorities and old people can't handle this demand. I smell more fraud from a bunch- ACORN - already known nationally for fraud and Corbett's February deadline invites some deliberate lapse by the D's...And intrusion by Eric Holder would stall our ID program until after ACORN has done their job for BO ...
b) Jeffrey Kuhner, Washington Times: BO & Voter ID
"...South Carolina's legislation provides for free ID cards to be given to anyone who needs it. Not one person - white, black or brown - is discriminated against or discouraged from casting a vote at the ballot box. Moreover, the Supreme Court already has ruled on the issue - upholding state voter ID laws. In the 2008 Crawford v. Marion County Election Board decision, the high court held that an Indiana law mandating photo identification at the voting booth was indeed constitutional. If it is good enough for the Supreme Court and the overwhelming majority of the states, then it should be for Mr. Holder as well. "It isn't. And the reason is simple: The administration is trying to whip up minority frenzy, propagating the myth of widespread ballot suppression..."
c) Daryl Metcalf, Morning Call: Electoral Integrity (June 18, 2011)
Metcalf is a Republican from Butler County (north of Pittsburgh) "Pennsylvania has a long and ongoing history of documented voter fraud - pre-dating even the frequently forged signature of Mickey Mouse to at least the election of 1918. "Of course, no statewide analysis of voter fraud would be complete without briefly documenting the deeply rooted influence of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.
d) Christopher Freind, PA Water Cooler: No ID, No Vote,... Comprende? (June 21, 2011)
"I am not wealthy, but have recently acquired twenty two domiciles throughout Philadelphia. My real estate prowess has afforded me a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our citizens. "I can vote twenty-two times. "You see, I have staked out prime locations, from a cardboard box under the Walt Whitman Bridge to a culvert on Cobbs Creek Parkway to a burnt out shell at 7th and Diamond. Yes, technically, habitating at these locations makes me 'homeless,' but I much prefer the term 'voter-enfranchised.' When you have such a love of democracy, how can anyone have a problem with people who want to vote multiple times, especially the homeless? (Although, in fairness, dead people should only be able to vote once). http://pawatercooler.com/v3/?tag=philadelphia-voter-fraud
e) 11/7/2011, PA ACORN Lives
"Pennsylvania. ACORN PA has become Pennsylvania Communities Organizing for Change (PCOC) and Pennsylvania Neighborhoods for Social Justice (PNSJ).Both were incorporated on January 8, 2010. On July 26, 2010, PCOC filed for another name - Action United - and the organizations now operate under this name. Current board members and staff of these organizations with former ACORN affiliations include: * Lucille Prater Holliday, chair (ACORN member and Democratic state house candidate) * Pat Worrell, co-chair (Chester County, PA ACORN chairman) * Rosa Chacon, secretary/treasurer (ACORN leader in Harrisburg, PA, profiled in ACORN's 2005 annual report) * Fabrico Rodriguez, board member (executive director of Philadelphia Jobs with Justice) * Craig Robbins, executive director (ACORN regional director in Philadelphia, PA) * Maryellen Deckard, southwest regional director (head organizer for ACORN PA) * Jennifer England, communications director (Pittsburg ACORN spokesperson) Action United is located at 846 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19130 and 5907 Penn Avenue, Pittsburg(h), PA 15206. The Action United website is www.actionunited.org. http://www.judicialwatch.org/files/documents/2011/acornspecialreport08222011.pdf There is even a Secretary of State project in which leftist groups attempt to bias state elections so that "liberal" Secretaries of State are elected. http://truethevote.org/news/does-your-vote-really-count; http://truethevote.org/news/what-is-the-secretary-of-state-project. There must be some benefit to Republicans if they ignore voter fraud. For example, my acquaintance publishes lists of Republicans who take contributions from unions and refusing to vote against union interests. And conservative Lowman Henry has spoken about the legislative impasse, particularly in the State Senate, produced by about twenty-five who get their money from organized labor. Thus, Nicole Marrone's conclusion is still valid as is Christopher Freind's: "The city of Philadelphia is known for many things: The Liberty Bell, cheesesteaks, water ice, and Santa Claus-booing Eagles fans. But if research that I conducted in 2006 is still accurate today, Philadelphia should also be known for all-inclusive voting - that is, voting regardless of whether one has a pulse or is otherwise eligible to cast a vote..." http://pjmedia.com/blog/small-sample-of-philly-voter-rolls-reveals-hundreds-of-ineligible-names-pjm-exclusive/ There is a bright light on our horizon even though Salena Zito asserted that Pennsylvania electoral votes will depend on turn out in the Philadelphia suburbs: "Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter didn't mince words after four kids were shot and three killed in Philadelphia Tuesday night. "The first way to stop this kind of stuff is for young people to be home when they're supposed to be home, and for adults not to act like idiots and assholes out in the streets of our city shooting at kids in a car," Nutter told FOX 29... A spokesperson for the mayor told the Philadelphia Inquirer that Nutter stood by his statement. "He said what he said. He was clear about it, and he meant it. He said what everybody else was thinking," said spokesman Mark McDonald..." http://dailycaller.com/2012/01/12/philly-mayor-dont-act-like-idiots-and-assholes/ What are Mayor Mike's reactions to fraud? Does he value "value" above "deals"? Meanwhile, many Pennsylvanians look to Harrisburg to pass a "Voter ID" law that requires each of us to carry a card with our photo and address on it. Our Governor also says that he needs the law in place by the first week of February if it is to be used this coming November. On the other hand, I recall my son's friends in college fattening their wallets by selling bogus photo ID to students who wanted to buy liquor. I'm sure ACORN knows how to do such things. The ID cards will make cheating a bit more difficult and more expensive for organizers and possibly, but not necessarily, less frequent. And the rest of us will pay the bills for cheaters...

RedState Morning Briefing
For January 25, 2012
1. The State of the Union
There need not be 7000 words, the length of the President's speech, to break it down for you.
John F. Kennedy said, "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country."
Barack Obama's State of the Union is all about letting you know that government is going to do everything for you and when it can't keep its promises, it will take from the successful and give to you.
1000 days without the Democrats passing a budget, the President never really even brought it up last night. Then there's healthcare. The President spent two sentences - a mere 44 words - talking about his greatest legacy, now headed before the Supreme Court, 5 justices from which sat in front of him last night. The first reference didn't come until 39 minutes into his speech. I thought he was proud of it.
The first half of his speech was about centralized power in Washington and the second half was about devolving power to the states and deregulation - trying to be all things to all people. But his actual proposals were one size fits all federal fiat with sops to unionization and swing states. He must be really worried about North Carolina given how many shout outs that state got.
President Obama, in his State of the Union address, was light on the details of his laundry list, but at essence embraced the title of Food Stamp President that Newt Gingrich has given him. He wants a public and business community dependent on Washington. He wants a devalued high school diploma and an over valued college degree priced out of reach of the average person except through government run programs and subsidies.
The happy class warrior is off to ensure fairness not at the starting line, but by punishing those who cross the finish line first or with more. But "teachers matter", he got Osama Bin Laden, and kids won't be able to drop out of school anymore - they'll just clog the system.
So there is that.
2. We're Fighting Over Two Guys and Neither Side Thinks the Other Can Win I am a firm believer that primaries make stronger candidates. But at some point you just have to stand back, take a sip of bourbon, and sigh "Damn" under your breath as you behold the carnage being wrought within the Republican Party. The fight has gotten so bitter and acrimonious with only three states chosen because neither side thinks the other side can win. Gingrich supporters understand that the secularists in the media - not the Democrats, but the media to the extent it can be separated from the Obama Machine - will spend six months creeping out independent suburban voters about Mormons, holy underwear, Kolob, postmortem baptism, and views on black people and then, as the coup de grace, Barack Obama will fire up millions of dollars of ads on Bain Capital raiding pension funds forcing the government to cover the debt so Mitt Romney could make millions whether he won or lost a deal. Romney supporters understand Newt Gingrich will open his mouth. Mitt Romney will find it very hard to beat Barack Obama because of what Barack Obama will do to him. Newt Gingrich will find it very hard to beat Barack Obama because of what Newt Gingrich will do to himself. That's the simple truth. Both men will have amazingly difficult times beating Barack Obama. It is possible, but probability never favors picking off an incumbent just for starters. About the only real difference between the Gingrich and Romney camps is that the Gingrich camp intuitively understands this and is happy to go down with a fighter. The Romney camp is still deluded into thinking a milquetoast moderate from Massachusetts who can't win Iowa twice in a primary is somehow electable. 3. Conservatives, Gingrich, and Grace With Speaker Gingrich having won South Carolina, and now polling ahead of Gov. Romney in Florida and nationally, there is one question that keeps popping up. What is it about Newt Gingrich that conservatives voters find appealing? Rush Limbaugh has at least part of the answer.

Ex-CIA officer charged over classified leaks
 (Jason Reed Reuters, / March 3, 2005) |
Jeremy Pelofsky Reuters
January 23, 2012
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A former Central Intelligence Agency officer has been arrested and charged with illegally disclosing classified information to journalists, including the identity of a covert officer and details about the capture of terrorism suspect Abu Zubaydah, the U.S. Justice Department said on Monday.
John Kiriakou, 47, worked for the CIA from 1990 to 2004 as an intelligence officer and then was a senior staff member on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee from 2009 until May 2011. He wrote the book "The Reluctant Spy: My Secret Life in the CIA's War on Terror."
He was accused of revealing to one journalist in 2008 the identity of the covert CIA officer who was involved in the agency's program to secretly capture terrorism suspects, bring them to U.S.-run detention facilities and interrogate them.

January 24, 2012 CAIR's false attacks on ALAC legislation CAIR (the Council on American-Islamic Relations) is at it again. This past Sunday, CAIR put out the release below, claiming that American Laws for American Courts (ALAC) legislation, recently introduced in Virginia, is "unconstitutional." Let's examine their release closely.
- First, CAIR claims ALAC is "anti-Muslim." If so, why is it that ALAC legislation has won the endorsement of the American Islamic Leadership Coalition (AILC), a coalition of reformist Muslim leaders?
In a release put out August 31, 2011, the AILC stated, referring to HB 4769, the ALAC bill introduced in Michigan: "We see no evidence that statutes like HB 4769 will adversely impact the free exercise of our personal pietistic observance of Islam..." The AILC knows that Muslims who reject sharia law will be protected under this legislation. For CAIR to argue ALAC is anti-Muslim is disingenuous and lacking any factual support. - Second, CAIR claims ALAC is "racist." Again, consider the words of the AILC in its support of ALAC: "To equate Bill 4769 to racism is not only dishonest, but is a poor and clumsy attempt at making ordinary Muslim Americans feel alien in their own homeland, while creating a rift between Muslims and the rest of our country."
- Third, CAIR repeats the canard that ALAC will prevent Muslims from executing wills. Nonsense. If this were true we're sure the AILC would not have endorsed it. What ALAC does is prevent state courts from applying foreign law if doing so infringes on the constitutional rights of a party in the case. A good example would be a Muslim woman denied equal protection under the law, as is commonly the case under sharia law.
- Fourth, CAIR uses the scare tactic that Catholics and people of other faiths would be banned from applying religious traditions. Again, utter nonsense. The linchpin of ALAC is its protection of those whose constitutional rights would be violated if foreign law were applied. And for CAIR to say with a straight face that the Catholic canon is the "equivalent" of sharia law is ludicrous.
- Lastly, CAIR calls ALAC "suddenly controversial." Hardly. Nearly two years ago ACT! for America helped get ALAC passed in Tennessee with strong bipartisan support, and nearly a year ago we helped it get passed in Arizona-again with bipartisan support.
|
We all need to remember that CAIR has been affirmed by our Justice Department as the American front organization for the terrorist group Hamas and that it was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism financing trial in American history. We also need to remember that its communications director, Ibrahim Hooper, stated in 1993 that he would like to see the government of the U.S. be Islamic sometime in the future. And in 1998 CAIR's co-founder proclaimed that the Qur'an should be the highest authority in America. So while CAIR peddles falsehoods, canards and scare tactics about ALAC, we should all understand its REAL agenda-the imposition of sharia law in America.

Virginia anti-Sharia law unconstitutional The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) says a new law that has been proposed in the State of Virginia is anti-Muslim and unconstitutional. Titled Morris' HB631, the new bill was introduced by Virginia General Assembly Delegate Rick L. Morris (R-House District 64) on January 11. "Unfortunately, a state delegate in Virginia, has introduced a piece of legislation that is copied from an extreme anti-Muslim (and) racist who has made a template for such laws nationwide and they have been introduced in more than 20 states and now Virginia and Pennsylvania being the latest," CAIR's National Communications Director, Ibrahim Hooper, has told Press TV's U.S. Desk. The anti-Sharia proposed law would ban courts from applying religious traditions to proceedings, such as the execution of a will among Muslims. Not only the religious Muslim code, the new bill would also prohibit the application of the Catholic equivalent, canon law, and other religious guidelines. The suddenly controversial bill is scheduled to be heard by a Virginia legislature House subcommittee next Monday.

What's the opposite of FREEDOM? Submission -- in other words, ISLAM
Fellow patriots,
Well, a bunch of "Occupiers" in San Francisco recently took over an abandoned hotel in San Francisco and began hurling bricks and Bibles at the police officers. In New York City, a bunch of them entered a Brooklyn church and urinated on a cross. In West Park, a bunch of them entered a Presbyterian Church and stole a bronze lid from a $12,500 baptismal font.
These actions raise several questions:
· "The 99 percent"? They're not even the one percent, because only truly hateful radicals could be capable of this kind of grotesque vandalism.
· How many Mosques were attacked? None? Well I guess this means that the Occupy movement doesn't suffer from Islamophobia. So what is it called when people commit acts of violence against Christians and symbols of Christianity?
· Where's the outrage from the Obama Administration? In comparison, let's recall what the Obama Administration did when one man burned one Koran:
Now, I have to admit that Obama, Clinton, and Petraeus have a point: Muslims have a hair-trigger way of going crazy-violent at the mere rumor of a Koran being disrespected, and this could destabilize the situation in Afghanistan. But think of the implication: Freedom of Speech is going to be held hostage throughout the United States out of fear of Islamic terrorism. Muslims from halfway around the world are robbing us of our freedom to think and speak freely. Meanwhile, Christians can be abused with impunity without fear.
The net effect? Islam is free to grow throughout the United States because the Obama Administration has signaled that it will throw American freedoms under a bus in a heartbeat in order to avoid the anger of an ideological enemy. Meanwhile, Christians become demoralized because they recognize that their leaders no longer protect them and the symbols of faith they hold dear.
Whether the hypocrisy of the Obama Administration is intentional or simply the result of being outmaneuvered by an enemy, the result is stunning. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

'Occupiers' Throw Bibles, Allegedly Urinate on Cross
Todd Starns, Jan 23, 2012 http://radio.foxnews.com/toddstarnes/top-stories/occupiers-urinate-on-cross-throw-bibles.html
Members of the Occupy Wall Street movement urinated on a cross, desecrated a church and threw Bibles at police officers in separate incidents over the weekend.
Protesters in San Francisco occupied an abandoned hotel and began attacking police - hurling bricks and Bibles at officers.
"Once they gained access [to the hotel], some of them made it to the top of the roof and they began to throw Bibles down at the officers," San Francisco Police Dept. spokesman Carlos Manfredi told ABC News.
Several officers were injured in the attack.
In New York City, Occupy protesters allegedly urinated on a cross inside a Brooklyn church.
"An occupier peed inside the building and the pee came into contact with a cross," wrote Rabbi Chaim Gruber in a note to the New York Post.
The Occupy Wall Street movement has a history of participants urinating and defecating in public.
The group has also been accused of desecrating West Park Presbyterian Church. The pastor ordered 60 protesters to leave the sanctuary after someone stole a bronze lid from the $12,500 baptismal font.
"It was like pissing on the 99 percent," an angry Rev. Bob Brashear told the New York Post.
The pastor supports the Occupy movement - but is outraged over their behavior.
"Even in the 1980s when we had a lot of crack addicts etc. in the neighborhood, and even robbing people in the church, that particular religious symbol had never really been disturbed before," the pastor told CBS News. "I tried to make it clear that I don't believe in collective punishment but I do believe in collective accountability and responsibility."

Terrorists take lives of 3000, politicians take rights of 300 million
Jan 24, 2012 05:13 am | Coach Collins
by Doug Book, staff writer
In the decade which has followed the taking of 3000 American lives by Muslim terrorists, Washington politicians have done more damage to our Constitution and posed a greater threat to the rights and liberty of the American people than could have been conceived of or accomplished by all the Muslims in all the backward, barbaric, Islamic regimes of the world.
After 9/11 the American people were interested in two things-getting even and making certain it didn't happen again.
So on September 14th, members of congress issued a "Joint Resolution for the Use of Military Force," authorizing the President to "...use all necessary and appropriate force against those nations, organizations or persons HE DETERMINES planned, authorized, committed or aided the terrorist attacks..." (my caps) (1)
And beginning with George Bush and continuing through the 3 years of Barack Obama, the language of this Resolution has been employed to arm the President ... Continue Reading:Terrorists take lives of 3000, politicians take rights of 300 million

Paul's charade as a Republican comes to a crashing end and other thoughts on South Carolina Jan 23, 2012 01:13 pm | Coach Collins By Kevin "Coach" Collins We TEA partiers have always known we had to first scare the Democrats, then scare the Republicans and finally scare the media. We got the first one done in 2010, now Newt Gingrich is helping us scare the Republicans and the media. All three are worried "...the world as they know it is slipping away." Gingrich will turn Washington upside down make no mistake about it. His burning desire to become a historic figure will not allow him to do otherwise. There's Something About Mitt
So far Mitt Romney has lost two out of three primaries, twice to candidates that the establishment didn't even feel were worthy of their attention. In his biggest victory in New Hampshire he barely managed to take 40 percent of the vote. Like it or not Republicans voters are not particularly thrilled about Romney. But how ecstatic can anyone be about a candidate whose main draw is electability. Electability is an excellent strategic calculation, but it garners about as much enthusiasm as any other form of expediency. Most people who vote the big 'R' recognize the importance of getting Obama out at any cost, but they are not going to get very fired up about a man whose only credential is that of being able to win. Winning may be everything, but to win a battle you have to remember what it is that you are fighting for. If we are out to win, then what do we win with Romney? Hopefully we win four years of Obama not being in office. That's a pretty solid prize right there and people will turn out for it, but is it enough to win in order to win? And can we win by fielding a candidate who exists only to win? As the ugly parade of accusations winds its way down Main Street in a ticker tape parade of SuperPAC ads and smears, the ideas have mostly been lost in a clash of personalities. The overriding impression of the campaign is of a few angry men locked together in a room and trying to undermine each other when they aren't outright berating each other. Non-issues rule the day. Tax returns, college records, affairs and anything that avoids dealing with the economic meltdown. The hostages here are Republican voters who are once again told to choose between professional politicians who have spent so much time tearing down each other that all of them look bad in one way or another. If you believe the various supporters of one candidate or another, then their opponents are Communist supporters of big government who are mentally unstable and given to kicking guinea pigs around the house.
Romney was the establishment's choice for them. He still is. And he's still the candidate that voters are uncomfortable with because he appears to stand for nothing. The more he smiles and the better his hair looks, the more you wonder who is this man on stage. Does he have any purpose besides touring the country, ruffling the hair of nearby youngsters and commenting awkwardly on the economy?

As tens of thousands of Americans stage a "March for Life" against abortion in Washington, D.C., new Fox News Channel paid contributor Sally Kohn will be singing the praises of the abortion industry. Kohn, a lesbian feminist, is an alumnus of the Women's Media Center, which celebrates the 39th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court decision that struck down all laws against abortion. Kohn, the latest addition to the "Fox News Family," has argued that the Republican Party is trying to "kill women" by cutting funding for Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in the U.S. The Women's Media Center was founded in 2005 as a "progressive women's media organization" by writers/activists Jane "Hanoi Jane" Fonda, Robin Morgan and Gloria Steinen. The goal of the Women's Media Center in "making women visible and powerful in the media" has achieved a noticeable objective in the hiring of Sally Kohn by the Fox News Channel. But it's not the only feminist breakthrough with Fox. Jehmu Greene, who became a Fox News contributor in 2010, is a former president of the Women's Media Center. She is also a Democratic Party operative who was the national director of Project Vote, a group with close ties to the corrupt ACORN organization. Read more: |

January 24, 2012 IS SAUL ALINSKY HANGING IN THE WH? LAUSD and Teacher's Union Sued by Parents: Accountability at Last By Larry Sand CAPoliticalReview.com
For nearly 40 years, the Los Angeles Unified School District has broken the law-and nobody seemed to notice. Now a group of parents and students are taking the district to court. On November 1, a half-dozen anonymous families working with EdVoice, a reform advocacy group in Sacramento, filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court against the LAUSD, district superintendent John Deasy, and United Teachers Los Angeles. The lawsuit in essence accuses the district and the union of a gross dereliction of duty. According to the parents' complaint, the district and the union have violated the children's "fundamental right to basic educational equality and opportunity" by failing to comply with a section of the California Education Code known as the Stull Act. Under the 1971 law, a school district must include student achievement as part of a teacher's evaluation. Los Angeles Unified has never done so: the teachers union wouldn't allow it.

Liberal Lunacy By Alan Caruba CanadaFreePress.com

Tuesday, January 24, 2012 To: Friends & Supporters From: Gary L. Bauer COUNTDOWN TO VICTORY: 287 DAYS TO THE 2012 ELECTIONS Florida Debate Post Mortem Last night's GOP debate in Florida left many feeling flat. The audience was disengaged and appeared uninterested. Worse, the debate began with Gingrich and Romney sniping at one another, while Santorum and Paul were ignored for ten minutes. As it turns out, the audience was instructed by moderator Brian Williams not to applaud. Unfortunately, they complied. And the image transmitted to millions of living rooms across the country was one of a demoralized, bored and disinterested Republican Party. Newt Gingrich is reportedly warning that he will not participate in future debates unless members of the audience are allowed to express themselves. He said this morning, "The media doesn't control free speech. People ought to be allowed to applaud if they want to." I agree. My advice to the audience of future GOP debates: Don't let liberal big media elites boss you around! Santorum Schools Paul On Foreign Policy An hour into last night's debate, the subject was what, if anything, the candidates would do about Iran's nuclear weapons program. Ron Paul made it clear that he would do nothing and then, predictably, launched into a defense of the Iranian regime. As he has done in the past, Paul claimed U.S. sanctions imposed on Iran were "acts of war" committed by the United States and our allies against the Islamic Republic. So just to be clear, in Paul's mind we are the "bad guys" and the mullahs are victims of our aggression. This is normally the kind of nonsense one hears coming from the far left fringe, which may explain why left-wing, America-bashing, conspiracy theorist Oliver Stone is such a fan of Ron Paul and says he would vote for Paul over Obama. Once again, it was Rick Santorum who set the record straight. Here's an excerpt of his remarks:
"Well, let's look at the acts of war [by] Iran -- they are holding hostages, they are attacking our troops, their IEDs [improvised explosive devices] are killing our troops in Afghanistan, and killed them in Iraq, and maimed so many ... and people were trained and funded in Iran specifically to kill American troops. "You look at the ships that have been attacked by Iran, embassies were attacked by Iran. Iran has plotted to kill the Saudi ambassador here in this country. It is a long list of attacks -- of war-like behavior on the part of this regime. ...It would be reckless not to do something to stop them from getting this nuclear weapon."
Romney's Trouble With Conservatives Yesterday I wrote that there are questions about Mitt Romney's ability to energize the conservative base should he win the GOP nomination. Here's one reason why: Today we learned that several of Romney's top campaign advisors were key strategists for Charlie Crist. Yes, THAT Charlie Crist -- the Florida RINO. For those who may not recall, Charlie Crist is the former governor of Florida who gave Obama a big bear hug, backed the misnamed stimulus bill, supported cap and trade, ignored the Tea Party, vetoed pro-life legislation and ultimately abandoned the Republican Party in a failed effort to defeat conservative Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL). Obama Fails Again Remember when Obama flew to Europe to lobby for Chicago as a host city for the Olympic Games? He failed in his mission. Remember when he flew to Brazil to lobby for their oil from huge, newly-discovered reserves? Obama said, "We want to help with technology and support to develop these oil reserves safely, and, when you're ready to start selling, we want to be one of your best customers." Well guess what? We're not getting Brazil's oil either. China is. And this news came just as the Obama Administration was rejecting the Keystone XL pipeline, which would have brought us more oil from Canada. I know there is a debate among some on the right as to whether Obama is just incompetent or doing exactly what he intends to do. I don't know the answer, but the result is the same and America is losing as a result. I know this much too: America can't afford another four years of Barack Obama! Soros Sees Chaos George Soros, the billionaire godfather of the political Left, is predicting class warfare and chaos in the streets of America. During a recent interview with Newsweek, Soros warns of "a decade of more stagnation" and possibly "a collapse of the financial system." When asked about the potential for "riots on the streets of America," Newsweek reported that Soros "almost gleefully" responded, "Yes, yes, yes." Then Soros warns that the violence will be "an excuse for cracking down and using strong-arm tactics to maintain law and order, which ... could bring about a repressive political system." But what is the most likely source of the violence he is predicting? It's not the Tea Party. Remember how the unions behaved in Wisconsin last year during the battle over collective bargaining rights? Remember the New Black Panthers blocking the doorway to a polling station? Democrat pollsters have warned that nearly one-third of Occupy Wall Street protestors "would support violence to advance their agenda." Smearing Conservatives In 2006, George Soros launched his SOS Project aimed at electing left-wing activists as Secretaries of State. Soros and others on the left know that Secretaries of State are the key officials in determining election rules and combating voter fraud. Many of Soros' candidates won in 2006, but in 2010 he won only two of seven targeted contests. That year, Matt Schultz defeated Iowa's Democrat Secretary of State Mike Mauro. But Democrats are not taking that loss well. Just as they did with Sarah Palin, they have repeatedly harassed Schultz with frivolous complaints and threats of lawsuits. The left didn't stop there. On Friday an employee of a well-connected Democrat political consulting firm was arrested for trying to steal Schultz's identity in order to "falsely implicate Secretary Schultz in perceived illegal or unethical behavior while in office." You can only imagine what they had in mind! The man arrested wasn't just an over-zealous, low-level employee. He joined the Obama campaign in early 2007 and eventually became the Iowa Director of New Media for Team Obama. Read more here. This is Chicago-style politics at its worst. And it is just one example of the desperation and dirty tricks we can expect throughout this election year as Obama and the radical left do whatever they have to do to hold on to power.

Today marks 1,000 days since the Senate last passed a budget.
One thousand days since liberals in the Senate last bothered to do their job and pass a budget for the federal government.
So while struggling families must sit down every day and produce a budget for their lives in this fragile economy, the Senate has decided it would be a better political move not to produce a budget.
To put things in perspective, the last time the Senate passed a budget, the iPad did not exist. Just last month, Apple's tablet computer was one of the most popular Christmas presents.
Writing on The Foundry, The Heritage Foundation's Mike Brownfield lists some starting statistics about what the failure to produce a budget really means:
|
The last time the Senate passed a budget was on April 29, 2009. Since that date, the federal government has spent $9.4 trillion, adding $4.1 trillion in debt. As of January 20, the outstanding public debt stands at $15,240,174,635,409.
|
| |
On top of that, interest payments on the debt are now more than $200 billion per year.
And by 2050, the national debt is set to hit 344 percent of gross domestic product.
Brownfield writes:
|
Despite all of these blatant red flags, the Senate has utterly failed to execute the most basic, fundamental function of governance at the worst possible time-when the country's fiscal house is in disarray, the U.S. credit rating is in continual jeopardy, entitlement spending is ballooning, defense spending is on the chopping block, and the economy is in shambles.
|
| |
One thousand days without a budget is embarrassing. The record level of spending and deficits are a direct result of the Senate's actions.
To help illustrate how extraordinary this failure has been, our new video highlights a few of impressive feats in history that have been accomplished in less time. With the middle class left holding the bag, what do you think? Is it time for the Senate to finally pass a budget?
Medicare patient Ann Lorenz has relied on the advice and recommendations of her neurologist, Dr. Jeffrey English, since she was first diagnosed with Parkinson's disease 13 years ago. With the dramatic changes coming to Medicare via Obamacare, Lorenz is worried her access to care will be limited. "One of the first things you ask a new doctor is if they accept Medicare," Lorenz, who lives in Atlanta, says in a new Impact of Obamacare video from The Heritage Foundation. "And we have always seemed to have doctors that accepted it, which has worked out very nicely because I have had to go over the last few years...to many doctors...because of age and the various things that happen to you when you get older." Mythbusting Isolationism
Ron Paul supporters have re-launched an old ad promoting the old idea of American isolationism. "We now are a nation known to start war," Paul is quoted as saying. "We feel compelled because of our insecurity that we have to go over and attack these countries to maintain our empire." The message here (and repeated elsewhere) is that Paul's isolationism (or non-interventionism, as some people prefer to say) is aligned with the Founding Fathers and "what is truly American and truly constitutional." This tired refrain is a gross misrepresentation of American history and dangerously misleading guidance to a nation that faces serious challenges at home and abroad. The myth that our Founders were isolationists who sought to withdraw from the world and focus solely on the home front is tempting, considering the international fatigue and anxiety about America's future. But labeling the Founders as isolationists is simply untrue, and perpetuating this myth about the Founders prevents America from facing today's security challenges. The Founders rejected modern approaches in American foreign policy-whether power politics, isolationism, or crusading internationalism. Instead, they designed a truly American foreign policy-fundamentally shaped by our principles but not ignorant of the place of necessity in international relations. The classic statement of this is Washington's Farewell Address, sometimes wrongly read as isolationist dogma. Yes, Washington rightly warns us against "the insidious wiles of foreign influence" and yes, Washington correctly states that in extending commercial relations we should have as little political connection with those nations as possible. But that's common sense not isolationism. Washington explains the objective: "to gain time for our country to settle and mature its recent institutions, and to progress, without interruption, to that degree of strength and consistency, which is necessary to give it, humanly speaking, command of its own fortunes." Washington distinguishes between the principle of sovereign independence and the specific policy prudence dictates we follow:
If we remain one people, under an efficient government, the period is not far off when we may defy injury from external annoyance; when we may take such an attitude as will cause the neutrality we may at any time resolve upon to be scrupulously respected; when belligerent nations, under the impossibility of making acquisitions upon us, will not lightly hazard the giving us provocation; when we may choose peace or war, as our interest guided by justice shall Counsel.
Rather than trap themselves in some absolute and permanent doctrine of non-intervention in the world, the Founders advocated a prudent and flexible policy aimed at achieving-and thereafter permanently maintaining-America's sovereign independence. Such a policy enables Americans to determine their own fate. Necessity dictates that the United States must be ready to fight wars and use force to protect the nation and the American people. Hence Washington often liked to use the old Roman maxim: "To be prepared for war is one of the most effectual means of promoting peace." The Founders made sure they were prepared and were not reluctant to use force. How else can we choose peace or war, as our interest guided by justice shall counsel? National security is a challenge for all nations, but particularly for democratic political systems dedicated to the limitation of power. Maintaining security sometimes requires the use of force in ways that are more secretive and less open than democracy prefers. Likewise, national security sometimes requires restrictions and sacrifices that would be inimical to personal liberty were it not for significant threats to the nation. Indeed, even though massive government spending and constitutional overreach are on the chopping block, the core and undisputed constitutional responsibility of the United States government to provide for the common defense is not up for negotiation. The solution to these dilemmas is not to deny the use of force or to make it so onerous as to be ineffective. America must be able and willing to defend its liberty. The solution, then, is a well-constructed constitution that focuses power on legitimate purposes and then divides that power so that it does not go unchecked. At a time when we should be seriously thinking about our strategy and commitments anew in an increasingly dangerous world-doing so in the context of unlimited government spending and uncontrolled debt that threatens to force us in to national bankruptcy and undermine our very sovereign independence-we should be wary of claims, however tempting in the moment, that the naïve ideology of isolationism has a place in the pantheon of America's principles.

Morning Bell: State of Dysfunction
Mike Brownfield
January 24, 2012
Tonight, Americans who tune in to the State of the Union will watch the work of a rhetorical master with a flair for illusion. President Barack Obama will take to the floor of the Capitol in hopes of laying the groundwork for a political debate on his terms-one where he stands on emotional appeals, populism, and class warfare, not the shaky ground of his crumbling record. And looking right back at him will be the U.S. Senate, which has for the past 1,000 days failed to pass a budget-a total shirking of their fundamental duty to be diligent stewards of the taxpayers' dollars.
The President will thus rely on the power of his words. With flourish, he will tell the story of America through a progressive's eyes-one where "fairness" takes on a new meaning, where America's core values are brushed aside, and where the truth about a failed presidency is forgotten in the shadows of his country's collective memory. The President will speak from the high ground of his vaulted office. The question is whether the elevation conferred by his office will allow him to escape the soaring deficits, depths of unemployment, or miles of job-killing regulation that his Administration has wrought.
Before considering the President's record, first consider his message-that economic populism is the core of America's principles, that the federal government should be the guarantor of equal outcomes and that "fairness" of achievement should be decided by legions of bureaucrats in Washington. It is a theme that the President unveiled in a speech last month in Osawatomie, Kansas, and it's one he plans to return to tonight. This vision is at the root of the President's progressive ideal. It is not, however, the ideology on which our country was founded. The Heritage Foundation's Matthew Spalding, vice president of American Studies and director of the B. Kenneth Simon Center for Principles and Politics, explains:

Obama Sets Clear Intent Towards Dismantling Immigration Laws in the New Year
Over the course of 2011, the Obama Administration started down a path leading towards a wide-ranging administrative amnesty. You'll find the president has wasted no time in 2012, gaining momentum proposing and passing more "policy changes" that thwart US Immigration laws.
- Despite claiming resources are too limited to comprehensively enforce immigration laws, ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) announced the creation of a Detainee Hotline. This will be staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week with translation services available in several languages to accommodate those who "believe they may be U.S. citizens or victims of a crime."
- ICE, responsible for issuing detainers for illegal alien criminals to ensure they are present for criminal and deportation hearings, has altered policy to allow only making a detainer effective upon an alien's conviction of a crime for which the alien was arrested. This shift to a discretionary "post-conviction" detainer ignores the fact that being in the country illegally is a violation of federal law while simultaneously welcoming criminal aliens back onto the streets since many may post bond and abscond before ever being convicted or may ultimately be convicted of a lesser offense.
- U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) proposed a new rule that would help illegal aliens skirt the statutory 3 and 10-year bars to admission. The rule seeks to allow illegal alien relatives of U.S. citizens to stay in the U.S. while seeking waivers from the law, rather than doing so from outside the country. Congress passed the 3 and 10-year bars to inadmissibility in 1996 to discourage illegal immigration and marriage fraud.
- President Obama issued an executive order Thursday that will make it easier for aliens to obtain nonimmigrant visas by waiving screening safeguards, increasing the potential for terrorism and visa over-stays. In addition to relaxing the screening process for issuing visas, President Obama also proposed expanding the Visa Waiver Program.
- ICE attorneys in Denver and Baltimore have recommended that the agency "administratively close" 1,667 removal cases. The recommendation is a result of a six-week pilot review of all pending deportation cases in Denver and Baltimore immigration courts.
FAIR was there as an administrative watch-dog to let you know what steps the Obama Administration took towards amnesty in 2011. This year, you can continue to count on us to alert you to all the immigration "policy tweaks." We'll also work tirelessly to prevent these wheels being set in motion to create an administrative amnesty. But we need your help. Your tax-deductible donation of $25, $50, or $100 will go a long way in fighting the FAIR fight against an administration that is quickly chipping away our immigration laws, one small policy modification at a time.

What is Glenn's problem with Newt Gingrich?
With Newt performing so well in the debates, which has translated into a primary victory in South Carolina, many of Glenn's casual fans have wondered why he has been so thorough in his criticism of the former Speaker of the House. After all, if he can win debates in the primary then surely he can beat Obama in debates in the general election. After that, it's smooth sailing to the White House, right? Wrong. Glenn isn't looking for a progressive that will only be Obama-lite, he's looking for a true conservative to actually save the country. Get all the details on Gingrich's progressivism!
Is Newt Gingrich electable? Stu has the details in his latest blog.

Newt vs. Mitt over Fannie/Freddie
With the latest debate now in the books (what is this, like 1,000?) Glenn spent some time analyzing a heated exchange between Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich. Mitt attacked Newt for his connections to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, while Newt decided to go after Mitt for making money in the private sector. Clearly, one of these arguments adhered to conservative principles and one showed a man willing to pocket thousands from a corrupt, bloated, government organization. Wonder who won that exchange?
Santorum asking the tough questions
Glenn started off the radio show this morning by playing audio from the one man who impressed him in the debate last night - former Senator Rick Santorum. He gave good answers to tough questions and encouraged people to take a good hard look at Gingrich and Romney and ask if they are any different that Barack Obama (HINT: They aren't). LISTEN to Santorum make the case for an actual conservative, not Barack Obama - lite.
