Quote:

"America's glory is not dominion, but liberty. Her march is the march of the mind. She has a spear and a shield: but the motto upon her shield is Freedom, Independence, Peace. This has been her declaration: this has been, as far as her necessary intercourse with the rest of mankind would permit, her practice."

Nancy Pelosi Pushing Government to Institute Hitler Youth

nazipelosi2

In 1920, Adolf Hitler formed the Youth League of the National Socialist Workers' Party.  In 1922, a new youth organization emerged that eventually became known as Hitler Youth.  It targeted boys ages 14-18.  Eventually a second group was formed for boys ages 10-14 and a girls' organization that covered ages 10-18.  The goal of the Youth organizations was to indoctrinate the next generation of leaders to help insure the success for the Nazi Party.

From 1922 to 1945, the Hitler Youth saw thousands of teenaged kids turning in their parents, siblings, aunts and uncles, grandparents, cousins and friends, the government for speaking out against Hitler and his Nazi rule.  Thousands of people were imprisoned, beaten and even executed.  They turned in their neighbors and school mates who were Jewish.

Thomas Jefferson: "Whensoever the general government assumes undelegated powers....a nullification of the act is the rightful remedy."

But what IS nullification? How does it happen and work? Since September 2010, the Tenth Amendment Center has been hosting a national tour to educate and activate people on this topic. People are learning the constitutional basis, when it's been used in history, and how it is happening around the country and how YOU can stop DC right in your own state.

Hello All,

It's now official ! Sam Rohrer is running for US Senate from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania .

Sam Rohrer U.S. Senate Announcement
Sam Rohrer U.S. Senate Announcement

I was inspired listening to Sam's Senate announcement this afternoon which took place at the Camp Hill Radisson. I am proud to say that I was an active campaigner for Sam in his PA Governor's race in 2010. I am equally enthused about Sam's decision to run for the Senate.

We absolutely need men and women, who exemplify Sam Rohrer's character, principles, commitment, abilities, and faith. Now is the time to actively engage with this fine man and representative and help him win the PA Senate seat that is currently held by a super liberal, Progressive, Democrat whose actions and voting record has been supporting the Marxist agenda of the Obama administration and is destroying the America that is that " Shining City on the Hill".

As I listened to Sam's speech today, I jotted down some notes. Here they are, with some of my thoughts added, for your perusal:

Sam spoke of standing for principles and standing on character, integrity, and truth. He spoke of our founders' foresight and the need for adherence to the Constitution. He talked about his passion to serve the people of Pennsylvania and all of the people of the USA and the need to reject political expediency and the need for all public officials to lead with courage and conviction and to honor their Constitutional Oath of office.

FYI, The current Congressional oath of office was enacted in 1884:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."

How many elected officials speak these words but never actually live up to them? Sam Rohrer is one man who does commit and live up to this oath.

Sam committed to vote against everything "big government" like ObamaCare and everything that looks like it. He pointed to his 18 year history, in the PA General Assembly, of not voting for tax increases as evidence of what he will bring to Washington and he will fight all forms of political bribery including earmarks.

He spoke of his commitment to life and said that all human life is precious from the point of conception on. He pledged to continue to fight for and uphold Pennsylvanians' and Americans' rights to keep and bear arms as it states in the second Amendment of the US Constitution. Sam also again committed to continue to fight for what the proper constitutional responsibility is for the Federal Government and use the 10th Amendment to enforce our Constitutional right that "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Sam presented that he will support our true friends in the world like the nation of Israel . He stated that our leaders need to be men and women of conviction and they must support the repeal of the onerous and repressive laws that are destroying this nation. He also pledged himself to the restoration of a sound economy.

Sam also spoke of the need to understand that we need God's help and we must have the humility to ask for that help. Our rights come from God - not from government. Sam said today that he believes America today is at a crossroads and that the threats against our liberties are at our door and they are real. The forces of evil are acting to undermine our rights, our liberties, and our constitution. These evil forces are not only coming from other countries and other "citizens of the world" they are absolutely coming from our Government in the White House, our State, County, and local Governments. There is a movement afoot in this country to tear apart our American framework and you are seeing some of this in the Democrat, Socialist-run big cities with these "occupy" forces. These operations are well-funded and organized throughout America and the rest of the world.

We need people like Sam Rohrer who, as he said today, have the courage to embrace conviction rather than convenience. Courage to do those things that will not push off our responsibilities to our next generations but deal with the hard work today.

Sam presented that he chooses freedom over government control and he will, with our active assistance, fight for our freedoms and liberties in the Senate.

As a closing note, fellow patriot, Phil Duffy of the West Chester Tea Party and the Chester County Liberty Alliance, was asked by Sam to handle part of the answer to a final question from the audience today. An audience member asked basically if Sam and his family were ready for the dirty political activities that will come, as always, from the Democrats. First of all, Sam is ready for the fight and Phil added a response with the thought with which I shall leave you today: We need boots on the ground and will need to work around the media (because they will not help a quality, moral, conservative like Sam Rohrer.)

As I stated earlier, I am dedicated to actively campaigning for Sam and I ask all of you to do the same and start now. I know there are other Republicans who have already announced for this PA Senate seat but, in my considered opinion, there is no one in the field who has the level of character, principles, commitment, and is as Constitutionally-grounded as Sam Rohrer.

 ABC News The Blotter

Exclusive: CIA Spies Caught, Fear Execution in Middle East

In a significant failure for the United States in the Mideast, more than a dozen spies working for the CIA in Iran and Lebanon have been caught and the U.S. government fears they will be or have been executed, according to four current and former U.S. officials with connections to the intelligence community.

The spies were paid informants recruited by the CIA for two distinct espionage rings targeting Iran and the Beirut-based Hezbollah organization, considered by the U.S. to be a terror group backed by Iran.

"Espionage is a risky business," a U.S. official briefed on the developments told ABC News, confirming the loss of the unspecified number of spies over the last six months.

"Many risks lead to wins, but some result in occasional setbacks," the official said.

Robert Baer, a former senior CIA officer who worked against Hezbollah while stationed in Beirut in the 1980's, said Hezbollah typically executes individuals suspected of or caught spying.

Pick a fight with a liberal on:

PEAK OIL.
"Peak oil"-the idea that we've reached the peak of oil production and that it's about to run out-is an S & M fantasy scenario designed by liberals to justify their fetish for higher taxation, greater government control, more regulation, and the mass switchover to expensive, pointless energy sources that don't work, such as wind and solar power. As Dennis Miller says: "Relax. We'll replace oil when we need to. American ingenuity will kick in and the next great fortune will be made. It's not pretty but it is historically accurate. We need to run out of oil first. That's why I drive an SUV-so we run out of it more quickly. I consider myself to be at the vanguard of the environmental movement and I think individuals who insist on driving hybrids are just prolonging our dilemma and I think that's just selfish..."

The End of the Peace Process

The "peace process" which created two terrorist states inside Israel may have begun in Oslo, but it ended in Cairo. Normalizing relations with the rest of the Middle East was one of the carrots that got the Jewish state hopping down the appeasement trial-- and that carrot is now officially off the table.

The days when Thomas Friedman and his Saudi buddies could talk about normalization have passed. The Arab Spring saw to that and with Egypt, Tunisia, Libya and an unknown number of others sliding into the Islamist camp, and out of reach of negotiations, there's a New Middle East that has even less in common with the old gentlemanly diplomacy model than the old one did. Some of the dimmer Israeli leaders may still believe that peace is possible with the Islamists of Turkey's AKP, but not even they think that peace is possible with the Brotherhood.

If Western diplomats could offer regional acceptance twenty years ago, today that has all the credibility of a Rolex sold out of a briefcase just off Central Park. The end of the Camp David Accords has killed the grandaddy of the appeasement through territorial surrender template and with Assad looking shaky, the refusal to give up the Golan Heights to Syria seems downright prescient even to peaceniks.

The Brotherhood's attitude toward Israel is indistinguishable from that of Iran, and with the Islamist way in ascendance, that attitude will be the dominant one throughout the region, turning back the clock on decades of diplomatic efforts. The Islamists will negotiate temporary truces and ceasefires, but not the peace and brotherhood accords so beloved by the US and the EU.

And even the remaining regimes that haven't fallen look like poor prospects for paying out peace dividends after even the most stable country in the region, Egypt, melted down into mob violence and religious fanaticism. If Egypt can turn into battling mobs who don't agree on anything except their hatred for religious and ethnic minorities, including a country full of them living next door, then no Muslim nation in the region is safe.

Without normalization on the table, all that's left is outside pressure. But for the first time in a long time the Arab Spring has given Western diplomats something to do in the region besides denounce Jews living in Jerusalem. And the usual Arab League chorus that the region's problems would be solved if only there were a Palestinian state sounds silly even to veteran diplomats who usually funnel this sort of nonsense right back to the White House.

Conflicting Priorities Imperil Effort to Gather Up Gaddafi's Discarded Arms

It should have been of the utmost importance to NATO to put a plan in place to either secure these depots, or more feasibly, to blow them to kingdom come. Their negligence is criminal. This is a horror story. Ted Belman

By Vivienne Walt, TIME

More than three weeks after Libya's rebels killed Muammar Gaddafi, arms experts say the task of finding and securing the mountain of weaponry abandoned by Gaddafi's forces in their final rout has been complicated by a lack of international funding and coordination, as well as conflicting priorities among Western and African governments about which weapons pose the biggest threat.

While U.S. and European officials have sounded the alarm about the threat posted to airliners by looted surface-to-air missiles, arms experts say other kinds of weaponry that may prove far more damaging are receiving much less attention. "I don't think anybody genuinely has any idea of full scale of the problem, because nobody has had a chance to...

For Israel policy, the absurd becomes routine

Into the Fray: A nation betrayed?

By MARTIN SHERMAN

The list of the Left's blunders is depressingly lengthy. It has been hopelessly wrong about... well, everything.

This is the first war in history that on the morrow the victors sued for peace and the vanquished called for unconditional surrender.
- Abba Eban on the Six Day War

The preceding citation, from arguably Israel's most consummate diplomat, encapsulates the glaring irrationality and the inverted logic that has become the accepted hallmark of the politics of the Arab-Israeli conflict, both at the level of theoretical analysis and of practical policy-making.

The abandonment of any coherent, reasonable criteria has not been confined to the attitude of the Arabs towards Israel, but sadly has become a characteristic of Israeli policy towards the Arabs - and of a host of domestic issues that impinge directly and indirectly on that policy.

The absurd becomes routine
Consider the situation, which...

Suspect accused of using Al Qaeda recipe to build bombs

Originally Published: Sunday, November 20 2011

Jose Pimentel, aka Muhammad Yusuf, appears in Manhattan Criminal Court on Sunday night. Pimentel is charged with terrorism. He was remanded back into custody and will next appear in court on November 25. At left is his lawyer, Joseph Zablocki.
Jefferson Siegel for New York Daily News

Jose Pimentel is charged with criminal possession of a weapon as a crime of terrorism, conspiracy and soliciting support for an act of terrorism. He is being held without bail.

A lone wolf with an anti-American grudge was charged Sunday with plotting to kill cops and soldiers with bombs he was building in his Manhattan apartment from an Al Qaeda recipe, officials said.

Jose Pimentel was within an hour of finishing a powerful pipe bomb when the NYPD busted him as he worked at a Harlem apartment of a police informant at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said Pimentel, 27, of Manhattanville, planned to test three bombs on mailboxes and was plotting to eventually use explosives on soldiers returning from Afghanistan and Iraq.

Almost 800 Attend ZOA Dinner - Media Superstar Glenn Beck, House Foreign Relations Chair Ros-Lehtinen, Cong. Michele Bachmann & PM Netanyahu Spoke

NEW YORK - Almost 800 people attended the Zionist Organization of America's (ZOA) 114th Louis B. Brandeis Award National Dinner on Sunday, November 20 at the New York City's elegant Grand Hyatt Hotel. Media superstar and seven-time NY Times best-selling author Glenn Beck, U.S.Congresswoman and House Foreign Relations Committee Chair, Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) were keynote speakers at the Dinner at which they were also honored. Mr. Beck was awarded the Dr. Miriam & Sheldon Adelson Defender of Israel Award.  U.S. Cong. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu also spoke.  Prominent philanthropists Dr. Miriam and Sheldon Adelson spoke and personally presented the Adelson Award to Beck.

U.S. Cong. Ann Marie Buerkle and Robert Turner from NY, Cong. Dan Burton from Indiana and Cong. Joe Walsh from Illinois also attended the Dinner; other prominent guests included Richard Stone, Chair of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations and Steve Emerson, terrorism expert.  Rep. Ros-Lehtinen was awarded the Dr. Irving and Cherna Moskowitz Award.  William K. Langfan and Mark Langfan, prominent lawyers and real estate entrepreneurs were honored with the Louis B. Brandeis Award. Jerome & Judy Taylor, distinguished philanthropists, received the Maccabee Award.

In his video address to the Dinner guests, Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke of the "remarkable and important ZOA." ZOA's "courage and integrity" which, he observed, under Mort Klein's leadership, had been "absolutely fearless" in fighting for the truth and working to advance the cause of Israel with the government, media and the American public. Mr. Netanyahu said, in these times of "seismic changes across the Middle East," the ZOA had been "unflinching" in its advocacy for which "I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart."  "I also want to congratulate Glenn Beck for winning the Adelson Defender of Israel Award.  If Dr. Miriam and Sheldon Adelson put their name on something, it must stand for a lot."  Netanyahu  said.  "Glenn...you stand for a lot.  You too have been fearless in defending Israel against the slanders that are hurled against [it].  You've done that with considerable personal cost, but you've never backed off, you've never flinched, you've never walked away.  And I want to tell you how deeply we appreciate this stand of courage and integrity."  Prime Minister Netanyahu also strongly praised Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, and Miriam and Sheldon Adelson s long-time and powerful supporters of Israel.

ZOA Board Member Harvey Friedman introduced Rep. Ros-Lehtinen, describing her as  a "national treasure to every Jew in the U.S." and describing her legislative efforts opposing U.S. funding of both Mahmoud Abbas' Palestinian Authority (PA) and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). Rep. Ros-Lehtinen came to the podium and was greeted with a standing ovation. In her address, Rep. Ros-Lehtinen commenced by saying that she was "proud to be associated for so many years with ZOA." She spoke of two Dinner attendees, residents of the Jewish community of Kedumim in Samaria, stating sarcastically that "they're an impediment to peace, because they live in the Judean & Samarian community of Kedumim." Turning to the Iranian threat, Rep. Ros-Lehtinen said that the Obama Administration's policy for stopping Iran had been completely ineffective - "all we've got is a further three years closer to Iran getting a nuclear bomb." She called for further U.S. action, including genuinely "crippling sanctions to help bring this regime down ... We passed the sanctions bill [H.R. 1905] targeting Iran's Central Bank." Speaking of the U.N. Reform, Transparency and Accountability Act [H.R. 2829], an earlier law which the Congress had passed that cuts funds to UN agencies that raise the states of the Palestinians, Rep. Ros-Lehtinen recounted how the Obama Administration had sought "flexibility" in its application, to which she had retorted with emphasis that "no flexibility" on the law would be allowed. She also referred to the views of the Obama Administration and Palestinian apologists before pausing and adding, "Did I repeat myself?"

Israeli scholar and director of the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies at Bar-Ilan University, Professor Efraim Inbar, presented the Louis B. Brandeis Award to William K. Langfan and Mark Langfan.  Inbar said, "Bar-Ilan University is the only Zionist university left in Israel," saying that Tel Aviv University and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, for example, were "not Zionist" in his opinion. "There are many Bolshevik post-Zionists at these universities, who pack their faculties with similar-minded lecturers. The Israeli universities are overflowing with post-Modernists who undermine not only Zionism but academic truth itself."

Inbar said that although he knows that there are also Zionist lecturers at the various Social Studies faculties, they are outnumbered. "An evil wind is emanating from these places," he said.

ZOA National Chairman of the Board, Dr. Michael Goldblatt delivered the presentation to Maccabee Award recipients Judy and Jerome Taylor, noting that they had been "long-time pro-Israel activists" who had worked side by side for years on behalf of Israel. He also noted that Judy Taylor's father had been involved in prosecuting Nazi war criminals at the Nuremberg war crime trials, so that working "to protect Jews was in her genes."

ZOA National President Morton Klein introduced U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota, observing that, while many speak of the importance of Israeli security, all too few speak of "the sacredness of the land of Israel. "If security was the entire issue for Israelis, they should move to Minnesota, it's safer there." That's why we're there. While noting that the ZOA does not endorse any political candidates, Klein described Rep. Bachman as "dynamic, principled and committed to her beliefs." Rep. Bachman opened by describing herself as a lover of Israel. "Although I'm not a Jew, I'm a Christian, we have something in common, the book of Genesis, which states that 'Those who bless Israel will be blessed and those that curse Israel will be cursed.' I stand with Israel."

She said her first foreign policy directive on Day 1 of her presidency would be moving the U.S. embassy to Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The Palestinians "must recognize Israel's right to exist and renounce violence" if they expect to become a serious partner for peace. and that, under current conditions, Israel should cede to the Palestinians "not one acre, not one square foot, not one inch." She chastised President Obama for failing to support Israel, saying, "President Obama stands with Occupy Wall Street, but he doesn't stand with Israel. When Israel looks at President Obama, they don't see a friend." The United States "must sell Israel the additional fighter jets, bunker buster bombs, refueling tankers, and other materials they need to defend themselves," she said. She also said the United States should continue its "comprehensive missile system" in the Middle East. Rep. Bachman also spoke of the existential threat posed by Iran to both Israel and the U.S., declaring that the "Pentagon should prepare a war plan as a last resort, should all else fail in preventing Iran from getting nuclear weapons." She said that, while "only a fool wishes for war," other steps, like but a naval blockade of Iranian ports, increased intelligence operations against Iran and "crushing economic sanctions" were adequate the gravity of the threat.  She called on President Barack Obama "to accelerate covert operations and cyber operations in Iran and order the CIA Director to take all means necessary to stop Iran from getting the Bomb before it is too late."  Asserting that Iranian President Ahmadinejad was "striving for a second Holocaust" Bachman said that "once again millions of Jews are at the precipice of losing their lives today".  Ahmadinejad, she said, "will seek to use nuclear weapons against the US as well - and the US will learn what it is to be Israel if it does not act quickly." She said that the US Secretary of Defense, Secretary of State and CIA director must all support this "freedom policy" and that those in the bureaucracy who fail to do so - "especially in the State Department" - should be replaced.

ZOA Vice-Chairman of the National Board Steve Goldberg introduced Morton Klein pointing out that "Without Mort, there would be no ZOA. Mort rescued it when it was moribund .. Your shoes are too big and cannot be filled ... all the ZOA's past leaders, including Louis Brandeis and Abba Hillel Silver pale in comparison to Mort Klein."

Mort Klein commenced his address by praising Christian Zionists for their heartfelt support of Israel, especially at a time Israel has few reliable friends. "We applaud Christian Zionists, thank G-d for you ... People forget that Israel is called the Promised Land for a reason - because it was promised to the Jewish people by G-d." He emphasized that, unlike several other Jewish organizations, the ZOA was active in bringing Jewish students , not just to Israel, but specifically also to Jewish communities in Judea-Samaria like Efrat, Gush Etzion, Maale Adumim, Hebron, Ariel, and so on.

Klein spoke of the ZOA Law and Justice Center, headed by Susan Tuchman, and its important breakthrough in having Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, which has applied to blacks and Hispanics, now applied to protecting Jewish students from discrimination, intimidation and harassment. He noted that the Office of Civil Rights would be investigating incidents involving Jewish students at Rutgers University.

In his remarks, Klein criticized Abe Foxman of the Anti-Defamation League and David Harris of the American Jewish Committee for their strong opposition to an Israeli bill on sovereign foreign countries providing millions of dollars to anti-Israel non-governmental organizations that operate in Israel under the guise of being human rights organizations.

Turning to the Arab war on Israel, Klein observed that "the Arab war against Israel has nothing to do with borders, land, settlements or a Palestinian state. It is simply old-fashioned Jew- hatred and anti-Semitism. The Arabs don't want a Jewish state within any borders. Please understand, Arabs don't want peace with the Jewish state, they never wanted peace with the Jewish state. And as much as we want peace, Israel will live and thrive without it as it has since 1948." Klein also noted that the world was silent on the fact that Hamas, with which Mahmoud Abbas' PA had signed earlier this year a unity government agreement and with whose leader, Khaled Meshaal, Abbas had met earlier in the week, calls in Article 7 of its Charter for the global murder of Jews - "This is a Nazi document, these are Nazi terrorists" and, to show that Fatah is similar, Klein held aloft the Fatah emblem, encompassing all of Israel under a Palestinian kfiyyeh, with a picture of arch-terrorist Yasser Arafat and a Kalashnikov rifle.

Klein continued,  "The PA has violated the three legs of the Oslo accords. The PA has not stopped terrorism, has not accepted Israel's right to exist, and refuses to stop anti-Israel incitement.  Why are U.S. officials and Israeli officials not speaking out against this in our serious manner. We should be telling the PA- no more money, no more support, no more concessions. People speak as though a Palestinian state was the solution. It isn't. Iran, Syria, North Korea - they're all states, but that hasn't made them lovely and peaceful. In fact, it gives them more power to advance their terrible agenda. American Jews are now understanding this for the first time since Oslo, a majority of American Jews oppose establishing a Palestinian state." In a blistering attack on the Palestinians and on U.S. policy, Klein listed unjust accusations hurled against Jews since the time of the Crucifixion, drawing parallels to the current situation of Israel and the Jews and summing up with a sentence that seemed to encapsulate the attitude of most of the evening's participants:  "The whole world is wrong, and the Jews are right."  Klein received a standing ovation.

Sheldon Adelson and Dr. Miriam Adelson, stalwart supporters of ZOA and recipients of its rarely bestowed Theodor Herzl Gold Medallion and Brandeis Award respectively, introduced keynote speaker Glenn Beck. Mr. Adelson said first of Mort Klein that "I used to think that my wife was the strongest Zionist until I met Mort. He's my Zionist mentor. He's the greatest and most passionate Zionist, not only in this country but in the world." In introducing Mr. Beck, Mr. Adelson described him as a "very special man .... We knew he was a giant even before we met him. I'd never known a Christian Zionist like Glenn Beck.  Glenn Beck tells the truth about the Arab war against Israel."  Adelson, also the publisher of Israel Hayom (now Israel's largest daily newspaper), added there is "no greater supporter of Israel in the media today" than Beck.  When Palestinians murdered five members of the Fogel family in last March's Itamar massacre, Beck dedicated an entire show on Fox News to the tragedy and "displayed the pictures that almost every other television network ignored" - Palestinians celebrating the event by handing out candles in the streets - Adelson said.

Glenn Beck came to the podium amid a standing ovation and commenced his address with the words, "Well, this isn't going to help my popularity with the media .. I am a proud Christian Zionist. I know what that means in today's world. But I put all my chips on the table. Is there a G-d? And if so, how shall I serve Him? The whole world is in the middle of a profound and dramatic change, but the change need not be bad. History is calling us now."  Beck talked about the danger facing Jews because today the world is "aiding and abetting" the ranting of many madmen who are out to destroy Israel and the Jewish people.  He pledged to announce on December 8 where he is headed - "there is a vacuum and I intend to stand in its place," he said - but gave no details as to what he was referring to.  Beck said, "Many times you cannot tell the difference any more between peace activists and the terrorists and fascists they claim to stand against."  Mr. Beck reflected on the eight years since he had first gone to Israel and the evolution of his understanding of the country, and how few genuine friends it has, joking, "This is what bad shape things are in, you've got me."

Speaking of the numerous individuals and groups working actively against Israel and the Jewish people, Mr. Beck said that "It's a badge of honor to be called an enemy of George Soros. Soros is not a friend of Israel and, let me say, neither is the Administration. But let me tell you we, the people of the United States are not the government, we are a country built on the individual, not on the government."

Mr. Beck cast his mind back to several predictions and warnings he has given over the past decade and how he had been looking for what he called the "Archduke Ferdinand moment," referring to the assassination of Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand which had triggered World War One. "I spoke of a coming caliphate. I was ridiculed. I even once put it up on a chat on my program, saying 'This is what is coming' ... It will get worse if we don't stand together now. We must stand with Israel ... Jerusalem must remain Israel's "united and undivided capital ... I don't come here as a Christian. I come here as a brother. Evil hates you. It has since the beginning of time. Evil thinks it can somehow force G-d to break his covenant and that it can destroy the Jewish people. Israel wasn't established because of the Holocaust. That's just the last time such an attempt was made. Israel was promised by G-d to the Jews." Mr. Beck pledged to continue his work to speak the truth and to arouse the conscience of his listeners and was given a tumultuous standing ovation.

This year, a record number of college students - well over 100 - attended the Dinner. James A. Tisch, former Chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations and NY Jewish Federation, and CEO of Loews Corp.; and Martin Gross, President of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy and Member of the Board of Trustees of Brandeis University, were Dinner Co-Chairmen. Rabbi Mark Wildes, director of the Manhattan Jewish Experience, delivered the invocation. ZOA Executive Director David Drimer and the entire ZOA staff worked hard on all aspects of the Dinner and Dr. Alan Mazurek, Chairman of the ZOA's National Advisory Council, was Master of Ceremonies, presiding over proceedings with his usual aplomb and elegant wit.

Honoring Liberators

Veterans and former prisoners of war. Photo: Richard Chaitt.

A vanishing breed who refuse to allow their memories to die.

It is not often that one gets to see and honor a true hero in person let alone dozens of them.   But that is exactly what an audience of 325, including 75 students from the Hebrew High schools of Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El, Adath Israel and Har Zion, experienced firsthand on Sunday at Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El in Wynnewood in a moving program to honor Concentration Camp Liberators, POWs, and veterans from the U.S. Military, IDF and Russian Army.  The program was the brainchild of Ed "The Sage" Snyder of TBH-BE, and co-sponsored with the Israel Advocacy Committee and Men's Club.   It was an incredible and moving program, that recognized the service and heroism of thirty men and women who have served defending liberty and freedom. But unfortunately, the liberators who are in the mid 80s-90s  are an all too-fast vanishing breed who will no longer be around to testify in person as to the atrocities they witnessed.

 Act! for America

November 22, 2011     Law affirms FBI cutting ties to unindicted co-conspirator organizations     With Thanksgiving just two days away, something new to be thankful for!

Kudos to Patrick Poole and Pajamas Media for the article below (highlights added).

While the Obama administration is training Islamists in Egypt and cozying up to leaders of organizations like ISNA (Islamic Society of North America), Congress has passed legislation that includes language prohibiting the FBI from formal outreach to such groups.

We helped get legislation passed in Arizona and Tennessee that prevents courts from applying sharia law. Congress passes the legislation discussed below. Polls show ¾ of Americans oppose sharia law in our court system. It seems that more and more Americans are understanding the threat-except the Obama administration.

Help us prepare our strategy for state legislative action in 2012 by adding your name to the pledge of support to protect your state from sharia law. Over 36,000 people have done so thus far!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

PJM Exclusive: New Law Cuts Ties Between FBI and Terror-Tied Groups

Obama signs bill codifying and expanding existing, but frequently ignored, ban on engaging groups like CAIR.

by
Patrick Poole

November 22, 2011

When Barack Obama signed the continuing resolution this past weekend averting another potential government shutdown, it's doubtful that he was aware that tucked into the bill, which funds several federal agencies through the fiscal year and extends the continuing resolution for the rest of the government until December 16, is a provision that may dramatically impact what Islamic groups and leaders the FBI and other law enforcement agencies can continue to work with.

Under Division B, Title II of the bill, under the Federal Bureau of Investigation-Salaries and Expenses section, is the following provision:

Liaison partnerships- The conferees support the FBI's policy prohibiting any formal non-investigative cooperation with unindicted co-conspirators in terrorism cases. The conferees expect the FBI to insist on full compliance with this policy by FBI field offices and to report to the Committees on Appropriations regarding any violation of the policy.

The most obvious group that this will impact is the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which was named unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation case - the largest terrorism-finance trial in American history. During the trial, FBI Dallas Agent Lara Burns testified that CAIR was a front for the terrorist group Hamas.

COUNTDOWN TO VICTORY: 350 DAYS TO THE 2012 ELECTIONS

2012 Update

Three polls released in the past 24 hours suggest that Newt Gingrich is now the GOP front-runner. That makes five polls in 12 days finding Newt leading the pack.

A lot of people in Washington took notice today when Gingrich announced his foreign policy team, which is led by two of the most respected foreign policy experts on the right -- former CIA Director James Woolsey and Reagan National Security Advisor Robert McFarlane. These additions show that Gingrich is building a serious campaign structure.

Tonight the GOP candidates will meet for their 11th debate, co-hosted by CNN, the Heritage Foundation and the American Enterprise Institute. Tune in at 8:00 PM ET to watch the candidates debate foreign policy at Constitutional Hall in Washington, D.C.

Democrats And Voter Fraud

As we get closer to the 2012 elections, concerns about voter fraud are once again coming to the fore. National Democrats recently staged a series of high profile events designed to cast voter ID laws as racist throwbacks to the Jim Crow era.

Today's Daily Caller features an interview with former Rep. Artur Davis, a black Democrat from Alabama, that turns the Democrats' spin upside down. Davis backs the laws, saying they are needed to "protect African-Americans from corrupt political bosses -- many of them African-Americans themselves -- who run Democratic Party machines in the South."

Davis' experience is not unique. While most of the states passing new voter ID laws elected Republican governors and legislatures in 2010, one state stands out like a sore thumb -- liberal Rhode Island, where the issue was pushed by minority legislators. In signing the law, liberal governor Lincoln Chafee said, "Notably, I spoke with representatives of our state's minority communities, and I found their concerns about voter fraud and their support for this bill particularly compelling."

Meanwhile, the fallout continues from Minnesota's marred 2008 election that sent Al Franken to the U.S. Senate. According to Jeff Davis of Minnesota Majority, 113 people have been convicted of illegally voting in that election and 200 more cases are pending. "It's mind-boggling to me that as a tiny non-profit corporation, we netted more than double the number of convictions in one year than the U.S. Department of Justice was able to find in five," said Davis.

Voter fraud is real. It is an insult and an injury to our republic that it happens. There should be bi-partisan agreement to stop it. Unfortunately, the left's outrageous attacks against voter ID laws are more evidence of how deeply divided our nation has become. From Eric Holder's refusal to prosecute the New Black Panthers to the media's blindness to ACORN's corruption, Democrats and their liberal allies refuse to deal with it because voter fraud often benefits them!

There is a solution: Every conservative must work even harder to make sure we win in a landslide. The left can't cheat if the results are not close.

"This Conscience Thing"

There she goes again. In a recent "lifestyle" profile in the Washington Post, House Democrat Leader Nancy Pelosi picked a fight with the Catholic Church. Last month during a debate on legislation to strengthen conscience clause protections for pro-life hospitals and medical professionals, Pelosi accused Republicans of voting to let women "die on the floor."

Asked if her comments were over the top, Pelosi stood by them. She added, "I'm a devout Catholic and I honor my faith and love it ... but they have this conscience thing." Yes, Nancy, they do have a "conscience thing," thank God. If only more of our politicians had the same.

Speaking of Consciences...

The Corzine/MF Global scandal is getting worse. Forensic accountants at Deloitte and Ernst & Young have reportedly discovered that as much as $1.2 billion of investors' money could be missing.

By the way, the other thing missing in this whole scandal is Jon Corzine. Where is he? The former Democrat governor and senator was always eager to get his face on TV. Even after losing office, he was a frequent guest on cable news shows. Now he's nowhere to be seen.

But maybe there is a silver lining here. Joe Biden once claimed that the administration got a lot of economic advice from Corzine because he was the "smartest guy" Biden knew.

Happy Baracksgiving!

I know it's not polite to bring up politics at the dinner table, but there is too much at stake in 2012. #OccupyFail: A Profile in Bad Choices

Posted: 22 Nov 2011 10:32 AM PST

(Steven Hayward)

Today's Washington Post Style page offers up this beyond-satire account of  Dylan Bozlee of Hilo, Hawaii, who, the Post explains:

Dylan Bozlee . . . or Bozo?

dropped out of college at the University of Hawaii to join Occupy, and says he'd rather travel across America than get a job. "Do I want to work? Only if I wanted a home, wife, kids and a dog. If not, I think you're ruining your life," he said. Before the march, Bozlee was a member of the Class Warfare camp at Zuccotti Park in New York, where he says he joined other anarchists in teaching passersby about the concept of warfare of the lower classes against the upper class.

Really, you couldn't make this up if you tried, though I'm open to a Power Line contest for the best "ending" of this story: does Bozlee end up a homeless schizophrenic?  An Obama administration appointee?  A surf shop stock clerk back in Hilo?

Funny, too, that the Post seems uninterested in finding out what Bozlee was majoring in back at the University of Hawaii, or how he made his way to the east coast.  (Suggestions on his likely major welcome, too.)  After all, despite the fact that there is an interstate highway in Hawaii (which has always puzzled me), I doubt he hitchhiked.  I am sure traveling across America is more fun than getting a job if you have rich parents.  Either way, I am sure his parents are proud.  Er, except that they named him "Dylan."

Meanwhile, Occupy DC is reaching its Altamont stage, with a sexual assault reported yesterday.

Climategate II

Posted: 22 Nov 2011 09:31 AM PST

(John Hinderaker)

Another batch of emails from the University of East Anglia-the same source as the original Climategate documents-has been leaked by FOIA.org. I haven't had time to look at them yet, but various others have been sorting through them, and some preliminary findings are posted here, here and elsewhere.

Early returns suggest that these materials may be dynamite. For example:

Thorne:

I also think the science is being manipulated to put a political spin on it which for all our sakes might not be too clever in the long run.

And:

Wigley:

Mike, The Figure you sent is very deceptive [...] there have been a number of dishonest presentations of model results by individual authors and by IPCC [...]

One more:

Wils:

[2007] What if climate change appears to be just mainly a multidecadal natural fluctuation? They'll kill us probably [...]

Much more to come, stay tuned.

STEVE HAYWARD adds: I have downloaded the file, and will see this afternoon what I can make of it (though I am attending the GOP foreign policy debate tonight).  Drat: there goes my quiet, relaxing Thanksgiving weekend.  It's deja vu all over again: reading through all the Climategate I emails is how I spent Thanksgiving two years ago.

UPDATE 2: Anthony Watts's invaluable site WattsUpWithThat has the best headline for this so far: "They're real and they're spectacular."  (With apologies to Seinfeld.)

OWS Following the Woodstock to Altamont Trajectory

Posted: 22 Nov 2011 05:44 AM PST

(Steven Hayward)

Numerous observers have pointed out how the media and liberals (sorry for the redundancy) lavished sympathy on Occupy Wall Street until it became untenable to continue, after which they began to airbrush their previous encomia.  They seem to forget that what begins as Woodstock somehow always ends up as Altamont.  It was inevitable that the "spirit of Woodstock" would make an appearance as the cycle of OWS unfolded.  (I used to joke that although 400,000 people attended Woodstock in 1969, 5 million baby boomers would later claim to have attended.)

More cowbell indeed.

"Touch of Woodstock at Occupy Wall Street" proclaimed the good folks as MSNBC.  David Crosby showed up to play a set!  (Which reminds me of Jay Leno's routine about one of the Woodstock reunions, where he quipped, "They flew in four helicopters of food.  That was just for David Crosby."  He also added that the aging boomers who attended had to resort to LSD suppositories.)

So let's revisit the original for a moment, and note the media propensity for glorifying whatever self-assertion reckless youth decides to throw up at the moment.  Back in 1969, Time magazine chirped that Woodstock

may well rank as one of the significant political and sociological events of the age. . . [T]he revolution it preaches, implicitly or explicitly, is essentially moral; it is the proclamation of a new set of values. . .  With a surprising ease and a cool sense of authority, the children of plenty have voiced an intention to live by a different ethical standard than their parents accepted.  The pleasure principle has been elevated over the Puritan ethic of work.  To do one's own thing is a greater duty than to be a useful citizen.  Personal freedom in the midst of squalor is more liberating than social conformity with the trappings of wealth.  Now that youth takes abundance for granted, it can afford to reject materialism.

And Leftist writer Andrew Kopkind wrote that Woodstock represented

a new culture of opposition.  It grows out of the disintegration of old forms, the vinyl and aerosol institutions that carry all the inane and destructive values of privatism, competition, commercialism, profitability and elitism. . .  For people who had never glimpsed the intense communitarian closeness of a militant struggle-People's Park or Paris in the month of May or Cuba-Woodstock must always be their model of how good we will all feel after the revolution. . . [P]olitical radicals have to see the cultural revolution as a sea in which they can swim.

A few months later the attempted sequel to Woodstock at California's Altamont Pass ended violently when the Hells Angels hired as stage security proved they were not yet ready to be part of the Age of Aquarius.  The Hells Angels beat a concertgoer to death just a few feet in front of Mick Jagger, who was in the middle of singing "Sympathy for the Devil."  In contrast to the encomiums to Woodstock, there was little media commentary suggesting that Altamont showed a dark side of the counterculture.

Or, you can just take Dennis Miller's word for it:

[Or not.  YouTube has taken down the video for the usual copyright reasons.  If I can find a Fox link, I'll repost it.]

Much of Israeli Defense Minister Barak's comments to Fareed Zakaria on CNN over the weekend had the formulaic quality of official public statements, but their urgency seemed to me a slight departure. The "time has come" to deal with Iran, he said, placing the military option to retard Iran's nuclear program in an ominous silence. "I don't think that that is a subject for public discussion," he said. "But I can tell you that the IAEA report has a sobering impact on many in the world, leaders as well as the publics, and people understand that the time has come."

What time has come? The Obama administration continues to hold out hope that additional sanctions against Iran will have the desired effect. Does anyone really think so? Perhaps if the desired effect is continued dithering, which may well be the case.

Here I think that Barak's description of the applicable timeline (omitted from the otherwise good AFP account of the interview) warrants attention:

BARAK: But I don't think that Israel is the only main issue on the table. It's Iran, its behavior, its intention, the prospect of a - a kind of a nuclear Iran and what - what should and could be done about it on time.

It's true that it wouldn't take three years, probably three quarters, before no one can do anything practically about it because the Iranians are gradually, deliberately entering into what I call a zone of immunity, by widening the - the redundancy of their plan, making it spread over many more sides, with many more -

ZAKARIA: But do you think -

(CROSSTALK)

BARAK: - elements and -

ZAKARIA: In three quarters, in three - in a year, they will reach a point of no return?

BARAK: Not in the sense of - not in the sense of having a nuclear device. People ask, when they will have - when they will (INAUDIBLE) -

(CROSSTALK)

ZAKARIA: But you're saying that, at that point, it become impossible to - to block it, because there are so many redundancies in the program?

BARAK: Yes. I cannot tell you for sure, nor can I predict whether it's two quarters or three quarters. But it's not two or three years.

Reading the New York Times story on the new sanctions announced against Iran, I am struck by how unimpressed even Times reporter Mark Landler is:

The Treasury Department named the Central Bank of Iran and the entire Iranian banking system as a "primary money laundering concern" - an unusual and symbolically important step, but one that is short of formal sanctions, which would probably be resisted by China and other Asian countries that import oil from Iran. The Obama administration is also worried that such a step could drive up oil prices while the economy is fragile.

Still, the administration sought to portray the measures as a major increase in pressure on Iran's leadership, which they called on to return to the bargaining table over its nuclear program.

As if to emphasize that these actions are more of the same ineffectual gestures to which we have become accustomed, Secretary Clinton ritually invoked the empty words:

"The message is clear," Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said in announcing the steps. "If Iran's intransigence continues, it will face increasing pressure and isolation."

Oh, no, not that! I'm sure the mullahs are quaking in their boots.

I don't think the prospect of a nuclear Iran is one that we can live with. It seems to me a prospect even less palatable than the prospect of higher oil prices.

One message is clearer to me than the one Clinton recited. It's the ancient judgment that Churchill invoked against the Western democracies in 1938: "Thou art weighed in the balance and found wanting."

A Turkey Of An Op-Ed

Posted: 21 Nov 2011 06:47 PM PST

(John Hinderaker)

We don't spend a lot of time deconstructing liberal op-ed columns, for a number of reasons. Mostly, life is too short. But every now and then there is enough entertainment value to warrant sharing a liberal turkey with our readers. Like this one in the New York Times, by Justin Smith. Smith's column is in "The Stone," "a forum for contemporary philosophers on issues both timely and timeless." Titled "Cruel and Unusual: A President's 'Pardon' as Dark Parody," the op-ed attacks the Thanksgiving custom of the president "pardoning" a turkey. Seriously:

In just a few days, we will once again endure the annual spectacle of the president of the United States pardoning a turkey that would otherwise have been fated for the Thanksgiving table. This event is typically covered in the media as a light-hearted bit of fluff - and fluff is what it might well be, if there were not actual humans on death row awaiting similar intervention.

Yes, but...most of us are actually able to tell the difference between turkeys and people.

I am not saying that this slaughter of birds for food is wrong - not here anyway - but only that the parallel the presidential ritual invites us to notice is revealing.

We look forward to the column where Mr. Smith explains why eating turkeys is wrong. Not sure how much he knows about turkeys, but most of us would say that being eaten is their highest and best use.

It also involves an implicit validation of the parallel practice for human beings, in which the occasional death-row inmate is pardoned, or given a stay by the hidden reasoning of an increasingly capricious Supreme Court, even as the majority of condemned prisoners are not so lucky. In this respect, the Thanksgiving pardon is an acknowledgment of the arbitrariness of the system of capital punishment.

We non-philosophers might note that the "parallel process for human beings" isn't quite as arbitrary as the president's selection of a turkey, involving, as it does, years of appeals in various courts and sometimes-as Mr. Smith notes-serious consideration of a real pardon, not a fake one, by a chief executive.

The rest of the column is a conventional denunciation of capital punishment. Still, there are some interesting moments:

[W]e may acknowledge that some people almost certainly do deserve to die. But for better or for worse, there simply is no person or body that can be entrusted with the grave responsibility of killing them.

This is a point with which I have some sympathy. Similarly, someone has to decide how to spend the money that is raised from our citizenry in taxes, but "there simply is no person or body that can be entrusted with [that] grave responsibility." This is, some would say, the central problem of our democracy. Still, capital punishment is rare to the point of being almost non-existent, while wasteful spending is ubiquitous. I, for one, have a lot more confidence in the people who make decisions on capital punishment-trial judges, juries, appellate judges and governors-than the people who make decisions on taxes and spending-Congressmen, Senators and presidents. Maybe we should start a new custom: each year, the president "pardons" one taxpayer, who is excused from his income taxes for that year.

Debating America

Tonight, the contenders for the GOP presidential nomination gather in Washington D.C. at the CNN/Heritage/AEI debate on U.S. foreign policy. Here's an exclusive preview.

Currently, there is little logic to America's international priorities and actions abroad. U.S. troops are leaving Iraq, entering Uganda, and toppling foreign leaders while "leading from behind." Looming budget cuts risk current operations and preclude much needed military modernization. Fundamentally, there is no consensus about America's proper role in the world. What America needs-especially from her presidential candidates-is a prudent approach to foreign policy that applies America's founding principles to today's international relations.

Despite bitter disagreements over particular foreign policies, the Founders agreed on the broad guiding principles of American grand strategy: Maintaining independence abroad so that America cannot be coerced by other powers; securing national interests such as commercial navigation and advantageous treaties; and promoting the cause of liberty which informed America's understanding of justice abroad. A better understanding of these principles will enable America to meet the challenges of today.

1. Maintaining Independence

The Founders understood that safeguarding American independence required military preparedness. As Alexander Hamilton noted: "A nation, despicable by its weakness, forfeits even the privilege of being neutral." In times of peace and prosperity alike, America needed a military strong enough to inspire respect abroad. Thanks to Washington's leadership, the U.S. has had a standing army and navy since his administration. Despite intense congressional debates, severe miscalculations about foreign risks, and a few explicitly anti-war and isolationist Congressmen, military spending for the common defense was the clear priority at the federal level. From 1792 to 1860, defense spending averaged 48.1% of the federal budget, and never fell below 23%-even in the most peaceful times.

Today, maintaining U.S. independence requires a strong national defense and vigilance against hostile regimes, such as an increasingly belligerent Iran. We must also not subject our foreign policy decisions to unworkable and counterproductive international institutions, such as the UN's Human Rights Council or the International Criminal Court. Finally, fiscal responsibility at home prevents the limitless welfare state from subverting the government's ability to provide for the common defense.

2. Securing National Interests

Commerce has always been a key component of America's national interest. The United States government uses diplomacy to promote commerce and military force to protect Americans engaged in commerce abroad.  Such enterprising activity relies on the freedom of the seas (the right for neutral ships to engage in maritime commerce and navigation unmolested by warring parties). When American merchants or traders were attacked, the young United States defended its principles and people against France (1798), Tripoli (1801), England (1812), and Algiers (1815).

Today, America's interests still rely on free trade and freedom of the seas. Therefore, we should be wary of commitments, such as the Law of the Seas treaty that interfere with the operations of the U.S. Navy on the high seas and harm our economic interest.

3. Promoting the Cause of Liberty

America's ingenuity for commerce not only made the nation prosperous but also expanded the reach of American ideas and interests to the far corners of the world. When other nations began adopting the American form of government to secure their own peoples' liberty, as the Founders had hoped, the United States supported them: America was the first nation to recognize the new Latin American republics in the early 1800s; U.S. diplomats worked with U.S. citizens to support the Greeks revolting against the Ottoman Empire in 1821; the U.S. Navy rescued refugees of Hungary's failed 1848 revolution against the Austrian Empire.

Today, America's national interest, properly understood, still involves the fate of freedom everywhere. This does not mean that America has a duty to establish democracies around the world. The Founders' principled, prudent support for liberty abroad offers a useful model for thinking about how America should support liberty today. For instance, "standing for liberty" means clarifying that those countries, like Taiwan or Israel, that embrace the same political principles as America are friends.

Instead of pursuing reactionary policies devoid of strategic thinking, the United States must better prioritize the use of American blood and treasure. The American President must reassert a truer constitutional understanding of our national security and see the big-picture view of America's role in the world. In tonight's debate, then, we'll be watching for candidates who not only understand the specific challenges of today but also can articulate a grand strategy grounded in America's enduring principles.

Won't you join us?

Facing bankruptcy, Detroit's Neros fiddle and open an "Afro-centric" school

Nov 22, 2011 05:13 am | Coach Collins

By Kevin "Coach" Collins

Earlier this month the news came that Detroit is headed toward almost certain bankruptcy and has failed to pay some of its debts for up to 18 months. With no new sources of revenue on the horizon the Motor City will soon be recognized as the failed experiment in total liberal governance it has been for quite some time.

By next spring Detroit will have to fire cops and fire fighters (not layoff which implies they might be eventually rehired). Nevertheless, none of this seems to matter to the liberal anti American crowd that runs the city. They are addicted to the state and federal aid money they use to pay for their vote buying schemes; and will not accept the realities of the damage their support of Barack Obama has  to all of us.

In a stunning new development the Detroit school system has announced it will open a new addition ... Continue Reading:Facing bankruptcy, Detroit's Neros fiddle and open an "Afro-centric" school

Obama's broadband program will cut holes in the fence around "massa" Democrat's plantation

Nov 21, 2011 01:13 pm | Coach Collins

 By Kevin "Coach" Collins

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis once said, "Sunlight is the best disinfectant."

As a "former law professor" Barack Obama might have heard of Brandeis' famous quote but it does not look like he understood it. Last week Obama has decided to spend more than 400 million of our tax dollars to follow the lead of the United Nations which has declared high speed internet access to be a "basic human right."   During its remarks on this new program, Obama's teleprompter talked up the usual Democrat class warfare divide and conquer stuff. But the "money' quote came from Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack. His remarks included the wonderfully prophetic assertion that this would help low-income Americans in a variety of "unimaginable areas."

It's hard to disagree, but I doubt that Vilsack sees the same future as those who understand the continuing rise of conservatism foresee.

Armed with the keys to "Massa Democrat's" ... Continue Reading:Obama's broadband program will cut holes in the fence around "massa" Democrat's plantation

The unconstitutional Debt Super Committee has announced its failure to reach a bi-partisan agreement on deficit reduction -- meaning that the automatic deficit reduction and tax increase plan is now moving closer to reality.

The failure of the Super Committee is causing what one analyst called a "bloodbath" in the stock market. And now last August's "Dirty Debt Deal" has put the Big Government tax increasers in the driver's seat.

Grassfire Nation has been sounding the alarm that the Debt Super Committee was at best a terrible idea and at worst unconstitutional. Now that the committee has failed and the automatic tax increasing "triggers" are looming, IT'S TIME TO DEMAND THAT CONGRESS ABANDON THIS ENTIRE DIRTY DEBT DEAL!

Grassfire Nation is preparing for an emergency petition delivery that will begin next Monday -- demanding that Congress abandon the entire structure of the Dirty Debt Deal's Super Committee.

Your petition is on file and will be included in this next delivery.

Now it is time to let Pennsylvania Senators and other leaders in Congress know exactly where you stand. That's why Grassfire is ready to deliver your faxes to Congress right now.

Our FaxFire system will deliver your message directly to your Senators, your Rep and other key leaders in Congress -- with your personalized message demanding that this Super Committee structure be abandoned:

http://www.grassfire.com/1166/offer.asp

Again... the unconstitutional "Super Committee" has failed -- but perhaps that was the Left's plan all along. Now, they can impose tax increases without another vote in Congress.

Go here to take action:

http://www.grassfire.com/1166/offer.asp

Grassfire Nation

P.S. Now that the Super Committee has failed, the automatic triggers mean that a major tax increase could be imposed without your Pennsylvania congressmen ever voting. This whole scheme is unconstitutional! Thanks for taking action.

Lena Taylor denies fraud allegation

Conservative group questions voter registrations at group home

A conservative group is accusing state Sen. Lena C. Taylor of being "an accessory" to possible voter fraud after some 20 individuals, including a felon on work-release, voted in the April election listing as their residence a Milwaukee group home operated by Taylor's mother on property owned by the senator.

But the Milwaukee Democrat dismissed the allegations, saying her mother, Lena J. Taylor, was simply providing homeless and other individuals with a place to stay and then encouraging them to vote. Many come and go and might use the address as the closest they have to a residence.

"She's done this, to be very candid, out of her own pocket," Taylor said. "I think what she does every day is admirable."

Media Trackers, a Mequon-based nonprofit that does political research targeting liberals, released records showing that 36 people were registered to vote using the address of Mama Delta's Lovehouse, a group home and homeless shelter run by Lena J. Taylor. The home is at 1018 N. 35th St., property that is owned by the senator and next door to her law office.

"Insanity on Steroids - How Our Leaders Refuse to Learn the Lessons of the 1986 Amnesty"

Hi Gang:

I have written an extensive article about the Immigration Amnesty of 1986 that was an integral part of the "Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) of 1986."  The article appears in the Fall Edition of the Social Contract.
My article is entitled:

"Insanity on Steroids - How Our Leaders Refuse to Learn the Lessons of the 1986 Amnesty"

In writing this article, I called upon my personal recollections of the massive amnesty program that was created by IRCA.  I had a front row seat to the fiasco that ensued because, as you may know, at the time that IRCA was enacted and the amnesty provisions were implemented, I was an INS (Immigration and Naturalization Service) special agent.

There are many reasons why a massive amnesty program for unknown millions of illegal aliens whose presence in our country represents a violation of our laws, but first and foremost is the dangers that such a program would expose our citizens and nation to.

Artur Davis: Party Bosses are cooking the ballot box and manufacturing absentee ballots on Election Day

Artur Davis unfiltered on Daily Call. A must see video

The former Congressman is not happy at the way his fellow Black Americans are taken advantage of by the fraudulent means of a corrupt few.  Davis essentially argues that the progressives, comfortable in their D.C. offices, look the other way in the name of racial politics and the illusion of racial progress.

This similar point was directly at issue in the Bush voter protection case in Noxubee County, Mississippi.   The point of the litigation was not to disrupt the electoral majority of Blacks; instead, it was to protect individual citizens and voters - Black and white - from the illegal exercise of power of those corrupted and willing to engage in intimidation and fraud to retain that power.

Courageous.

...former Democratic Rep. Artur Davis told The Daily Caller that anti-fraud measures are needed to protect African-Americans from corrupt political bosses - many of them African-Americans themselves - who run Democratic Party machines in the South.
On Nov. 14, progressive Democratic Reps. John Conyers, Steny Hoyer, Jerrold Nadler, Keith Ellison, Steve Cohen, Marcia Fudge and Emanuel Clearer, the chair of the Congressional Black Caucus - along with representatives from several advocacy groups - held a meeting to complain about what they say is the danger posed by laws that require voters to identify themselves.

Artur Davis is unimpressed.
