The anniversary of 9/11 is coming up.  We must never forget what happened and who was responsible.  The threat is still with us of more destruction to come.  Those radical islamist tell us so all the time.  We all seem to dismiss it.  We must press our Congress to look into all those who may be amongst us now training and getting ready to launch another attack.  We must never allow a mosque to built any where near that sacred ground.  Please be at the rally on 9/11 as the Mayor has given approval for the mosque to be built.

Stand Against Ground Zero Mosque, and Durban III, Stand for America

NEW YORK, July 6: The human rights organization American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) will be hosting its second annual 9/11 Freedom Rally on September 11 at 3pm at Park Place and West Broadway.

Free citizens are coming from all over the U.S. to attend the rally. "It is crucial to stand for freedom on this tenth anniversary of the heinous 9/11 jihad attacks," said AFDI Executive Director Pamela Geller. "We must show the jihadists we are unbowed in the defense of freedom."

AFDI and its Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) program are encouraging all Americans to stand against the Islamic supremacist mega-mosque at Ground Zero and the anti-Semitic Durban III conference that will be held in New York City at the same time, and for American values on the tenth anniversary of the worst attack ever on American soil.

The confirmed list of speakers includes 9/11 family members Alexander and Maureen Santora, who lost their firefighter son Christopher; Sally Regenhard, whose son Christian was killed on 9/11; Nelly Braginsky, who lost her son Alexander; and others.

Other speakers include former U. S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton (video message); the courageous ex-Muslim human rights activist Wafa Sultan; war hero and North Carolina Congressional candidate Ilario Pantano; former prosecutor and bestselling author Andrew C. McCarthy; popular radio host Joyce Kaufman; Darla Dawald, National Director of the Patriot Action Network; James Lafferty of the Virginia Anti-Sharia Taskforce (VAST); Coptic Christian activist Joseph Nassralla; Iraqi ex-Muslim Paul Gaynos.

Hosting the rally are Pamela Geller, publisher of the acclaimed AtlasShrugs.com blog, executive director of AFDI and SIOA, and author of Stop the Islamization of America: A Practical Guide to the Resistance (WND Books); and AFDI/SIOA associate director Robert Spencer, the bestselling author and director of Jihad Watch.

Building the Ground Zero mosque is not an issue of religious freedom, but of resisting an effort to insult the victims of 9/11 and to establish a beachhead for political Islam and Islamic supremacism in New York. Cordoba Initiative board member imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is an open proponent of Sharia, Islamic law, a system that denies the freedom of speech, the freedom of conscience, and the equality of rights of all people before the law. There is no one else in local media who matches Dom when it comes to standing up for Israel, patriotism and integrity. Dom has taken on guests and callers on 1210 AM WPHT Radio who distort the facts about Israel, and he goes out of his way to speak truthfully about the Arab war against the Jews because it is the right thing to do.

Rabbi Kazan has been a fervent champion of Israel and has inspired generations of local Jews to have a place in their heart for the Jewish State.  They said we had to pass it to know what's in it, but over a year later, people STILL don't fully understand how the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) - aka "ObamaCare" - will affect them and their health.

 That's why a coalition of citizens and health care professionals will present "Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About ObamaCare But Didn't Know Who to Ask" on the campus of DeSales University in Center Valley, PA from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2011 - which, ironically, happens to be Constitution Day.  DeSalesUniversity is located in the Lehigh Valley of PA, within easy driving distance of the major population centers of central, northeast, and southeast PA.

Policy professionals, physicians, business and legislative leaders, and representatives from groups most affected by the PPACA will share their insights and expertise through presentations, breakout sessions, exhibits, and panel discussions.

They'll explain how ObamaCare affects personal liberty and the Constitution, families and seniors, taxpayers, Medicare and the deficit, insurance premiums and the uninsured, businesses, employees and the economy, doctors, patients, and access to care, American innovation in medicine, and more. 

Also included will be detailed updates on state and national efforts to defund, repeal, replace, and nullify ObamaCare from some of the legislative leaders spearheading those efforts.

Participants will leave the three hour event far more informed about what's in the PPACA than most of the legislators who voted for it, and will be energized to get involved in the fight to save America's health care.  Participants, both live and online, will be empowered by their new understanding of how the PPACA will not accomplish any of the things its name implies, and will be able to effectively communicate that new understanding to others, providing important education about why this ill-conceived piece of legislation needs to be defeated by any means possible.

Already, according to Rasmussen's most recent poll, 54% of Americans want to see ObamaCare repealed, while only 39% oppose repeal - but the people who passed it clearly have not heard the voices of the American people yet.  The more Americans know about the PPACA, the more they dislike it, and this conference will help to provide the tools citizen advocates and health care professionals need to effectively participate in the process to defund, repeal, and replace ObamaCare.

The event will be free to the public on site in a venue which will seat 500, and a live streaming video, and a professionally produced program will promote information about our coalition's sponsoring groups, as well as providing important information about the PPACA.

On Fox News, Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham had the best discussion on Sarah Palin I have seen. And Ann said something I have said. I, however, have not said it as well as Ann said it on Fox.

To paraphrase Ann, a lot of us fell in love with Sarah Palin because of her enemies and a lot of us have fallen out of love with Sarah Palin because of her fans.

For the past year, Palin fans have become an online fixture with more venom and insanity than the most rabid Ron Paul fan. They have not evangelized on behalf of Sarah Palin trying to lead people to Sarah Palin, they have freaked a lot of us out.

I am at the point of fearing that should Palin not get in the race we're going to have a Hale Bopp moment with many of her most ardent supporters. These people have become too emotionally invested in one person to discuss that person rationally or even to address serious policy concerns.

For the longest time I wanted Sarah Palin to run.

At some point, I decided Sarah Palin could not defeat Barack Obama, but I'd rather go down fighting on Team Sarah than side with any of the guys who will just take us down the "big government conservative" path of creeping socialism.

Finally, I decided Sarah Palin was not going to run and I moved on. Ultimately, 2012 really is about beating Barack Obama, not what Sarah Palin will or will not do.

Unfortunately, as I found out and as others are starting to find out, moving on from Sarah Palin is like leaving Scientology.

Proposed Questions for the GOP Debate: Time for Specifics

Although a debate stage with eight candidates is inherently conducive to a circus atmosphere, the debate moderators need to focus on questions which elicit substantive answers to specific policy questions from the candidates. Moreover, the liberal moderators from Politico and NBC should remember that they are overseeing a Republican debate. As such, their questions should stem from conservative premises, and should provoke thoughtful responses from the candidates - responses that will demonstrate their visions of conservative governance to a conservative electorate.

Another bonus proposal would be for the Reagan Library to screen the audience more carefully to prevent outbursts of cheers and jeers, thereby engendering a more serious atmosphere than the previous debate (yes, we're looking at you, Ron Paul supporters).

Mitt Romney beclowns the Netroots on job growth.

I don't normally devote the front page of RedState to Twitter nonsense from the Online Left - aside from everything else, the netroots are horrifically bad at Twitter, which makes it not quite sporting - but I'll make an exception in this case.

The short version: the campaign of Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney put out a chart today as part of his jobs plan that happened to show historical data on our five most recent recessions. It was done up as a bar graph, with red and blue bars: the red bars showed jobs lost in the recession, while the blue bars showed the jobs added in the 24 months following. I'm quoting, by the way: the legend was clearly printed on the chart. Here, look for yourself.

Job Creation vs. Career Politician: The Romney Path to Victory

I have written that I thought the better attack for Mitt Romney would be to go after Rick Perry for being a career politician rather than try to discredit, as the Democrats are, Texas's job creation record under Perry.

The reason for this is two fold. First, it would differentiate Romney's attack from the Democrats and because the "career politician" argument is right for the zeitgeist in this election season. People intuitively give the chief executive of a state credit for job creation in the state in a way similar to giving credit to a CEO for a company's growth. Yes, yes yes, we know that it is a citizen and business effort in the state in the same way it is an employee effort in a company. But the Governor and CEO steer the ship of state and commerce and they get the credit.

Post Labor Day Political Analysis: The Arrogance of "the One" has Caused Him to become Undone

As Perry solidified his lead for the GOP nomination, the opposite has happened to "the One," who, in short, has become obviously and glaringly undone - in a way that has been so dramatic that even the main stream media cannot ignore it, downplay it or talk around it.

Basically, if there is a credible pollster, Obama has hit that pollster's all time low, including Gallup, Quinnipiac, CNN, and the NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

Meanwhile, Gov. Rick Perry leads the GOP field by double digits in the following polls: NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, Gallup, Quinnipiac and CNN.

The fact that the mainstream media (MSM) has begun reporting that "the One" is in real trouble, is directly related to the fact that Governor Perry began to focus their blindingly bias ways on the fact that there is an alternative the MSM could not paint as a idiot or a nutcase (although they tried).

Even Maureen Dowd, in this Sunday's NYT, mockingly wrote: "The One is dancing on the edge of one term."

Today's edition of the online CNN website contains a news report that, when you stop to give it a bit of thought should leave you furious.

The date of the article is September 6, 2011.  This is just 5 days before the 10th anniversary of the most horrific terrorist attacks ever carried out within the borders of our nation and, arguably the worst attacks ever carried out anywhere in the world.  The article reports on how the Governor of New Mexico is now considering changes in the procedures by which driver's licenses are issued.  

I would remind you that after our nation was attacked at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 our nation responded immediately and decisively.  Working in close cooperation with our allies we immediately built fleets of a wide variety of ships that had never existed before and fleets of aircraft that had never existed before.  New weapons systems were created and rushed into production.  Radar installations were created and even nuclear weapons were created and deployed.  All of this was accomplished in just 44 months.

Yet changes by the process by which driver's licenses are issued in New Mexico are still being contemplated?

"Currently, illegal immigrants from all over the country come to New Mexico to obtain a license without having the intention of staying here," said Demesia Padilla, the state's secretary of taxation and revenue.

Some scofflaws sell their residency information. One woman, Rosa Pardo-Marrufo, confessed to allowing her address to be used -- charging up to $700 for each application. She was arrested in 2009 and is serving 10 years in prison for fraud.

The terrorists who transformed four crowded airliners into macabre cruise missiles and used those improvised instruments of death to slaughter more than 3,000 innocent victims, destroy one of the most iconic complex of buildings, inflict grave damage to the Pentagon, the seat of leadership for our nation's 5 military services, and bring death and destruction to a bucolic field in rural Pennsylvania were all aliens who had successfully gamed the process by which visas are issued to aliens.  They also managed to create multiple false identities for themselves to conceal their true identities and to also conceal their movements around our country as they prepared to carry out those horrific attacks.

The 9/11 Commission determined that among the ways that the terrorists created false identities and variations of identities in furtherance of their deadly goals was to obtain drivers licenses.

Today our government spends billions of dollars each and every year in an effort to prevent would be terrorists from boarding airliners and bringing weapons onboard those airliners to repeat the tactic of using hijacked airliners as weapons of mass destruction.  Many of the expensive devices and tactics are of dubious value and the traveling public is becoming more and more frustrated with the increasingly intrusive nature of searches.  When we seek to board an airliner we are required to remove our shoes because it has been determined that shoes can contain explosives- consider the case of Richard Reid, the so-called "Shoe Bomber," a citizen of Great Britain who did not need to obtain a visa before traveling to the United States because Great Britain is one of 36 countries that now participate in the insane Visa Waiver Program.  Other British subjects had found a way to turn seemingly harmless liquids into binary bombs where mixing two chemicals onboard an airliner would yield an extremely potent explosive.

The intrusive searches are supposed to keep terrorists from concealing all sorts of weapons and explosives.

However, how about those determined terrorists who conceal something of equal or potentially greater significance- their true identities?

Our government has created a "No Fly" list in an effort to keep terrorists off of airliners.  Those lists are generally name-based which means that any terrorist who can conceal his (her) true identity can most likely circumvent this screening process.

Driver's licenses in false names are also essential for terrorists and criminals who seek to rent apartments, open bank accounts and conduct other such business transactions and create a patina of credibility.  Driver's licenses are also used as a way of screening those who seek to enter corporate and government office buildings.

While illegal aliens who are not engaged in other crimes apart from their violations of immigration don't create an immediate threat to the lives of our citizens and lawful immigrants, they are doing jobs that many of our citizens and lawful immigrants would very much want to have.  Large numbers of illegal aliens also make use of various businesses that enable them to conduct their day to day lives in our country while remaining under the radar.  These establishments are also of great value to the criminals and terrorists who are present in our country plying their respective "trades."

One of the first things a law enforcement officer does when he arrests a suspect is to photograph and fingerprint that person.  This is done in an effort to determine the true identity of that suspect.  Bed guys use multiple false identities- they use false identities as a means of creating camouflage much the same way that a chameleon uses changes in coloration to hide in plain sight.  When criminals and terrorists are able to create false identities for themselves they place the residents of the communities in which they live and operate at risk.

The most likely victim of the crimes and violence committed by transnational criminals are the members of the immigrant communities of the same ethnicity as the criminal.  This is true in the Latino communities as well as in the European, Russian, Asian, Caribbean and African communities.

A final point- we need to dispel the myth that those who want illegal aliens to get driver's licenses are "pro-immigrant." That statement is nonsense!  Immigrants are most at risk when illegal aliens are able to conceal their true identities!

  Washington, DC (August 31, 2011) - A coalition of diverse American Muslim leaders has announced support for a proposed bill in the Michigan State Assembly, HB 4679, that is intended to bar Michigan courts from enforcing any foreign law, if doing so violates any rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and/or the state of Michigan's constitution.

Like many Americans, members of the American Islamic Leadership Coalition (AILC) have been observing the efforts of a growing number of state legislatures, which are seeking to address the incompatibility of various shari'ah court systems around the world with the principles and foundations of our Constitutional republic and its laws. As American Muslims, we believe that the law should treat people of all faiths equally, while protecting Muslims and non-Muslims alike from extremist attempts to use the legal instrument of shari'ah (also known as Islamic jurisprudence, or fiqh) to incubate, within the West, a highly politicized and dangerous understanding of Islam that is generally known as "Islamism," or "radical Islam."

We see no evidence that statutes like HB 4769 will adversely impact the free exercise of our personal pietistic observance of Islam, which is not in conflict with the U.S. or Michigan constitutions. We recognize that not only Muslims, but also Jews, Christians and all people of faith need the government to protect their right to peaceful assembly, mediation and arbitration free of coercion, but also within the bounds of American constitutional principles. Therefore, we stand together as a diverse coalition in support of any legislation that serves to protect and integrate our communities into the fabric of this great nation, by strengthening our accountability to the laws of the land, and the constitutions of the various states in which we live.

As American Muslims we are conscious of the fact that Muslim Brotherhood legacy groups and other Islamists and their surrogates in the U.S. are trying their best to portray any opposition to manifestations of shari'ah law as "racism" and "discrimination against Muslims." However, as a coalition of traditional, liberal and secular Muslim Americans, we denounce this fear-mongering and playing of the race card, which only serves to mask the Islamists' highly politicized agenda. According to AILC member C. Holland Taylor, "the Islamist agenda threatens not only the well-being of the United States and its inhabitants, but also undermines and distorts the highest principles of Islam itself."

"Michigan House Bill 4769 seeks to ensure that American Muslims can live in freedom and safety, in accordance with our constitutional principles, and not be enveloped by the tentacles of medieval, man-made laws that have been falsely accorded divine status," said the AILC.

"To equate Bill 4769 to racism is not only dishonest, but is a poor and clumsy attempt at making ordinary Muslim Americans feel alien in their own homeland, while creating a rift between Muslims and the rest of our country," said AILC member Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser.

Michigan House Bill 4769 states:

  The AILC statement reinforces the American Muslim community's commitment to the First Amendment's Establishment Clause and the separation between religion and state. Unfortunately, Islamist groups would like to compromise this separation and provide cover to medieval, misogynistic and homophobic laws that no Muslim is obligated to demand as public law.

"Shari'ah law, wherever it has been applied in the public domain, be it in Iran, Saudi Arabia or Pakistan, has resulted in untold misery and oppression of Muslims, in particular Muslim women, by Islamists and dictators who invoke shari'ah law to justify their rule," said AILC member Manda Ervin. "Many of us fled the Muslim world to escape shari'ah law and to practice Islam in our personal lives, by moving to the USA and other western countries. We do not wish these laws to follow us here," she concluded.

The Michigan state senators are not alone in expressing concern about foreign laws creeping into North America under the guise of religious freedom. Many Muslim academics, religious scholars and human rights activists have voiced their concern.

The contrast between what has occurred in Britain and in Canada provides a roadmap for how the U.S. may address these legal issues. In Britain, shari'ah arbitration courts have been allowed to assume virtually unchecked control of legal arrangements in many Muslim communities. This is creating a ghettoized, medieval and separatist state within Britain. In Canada, however, local Muslims led strong opposition to the Islamists' shari'ah agenda and were successful in preventing its implementation, thereby sparing our Northern neighbor the fate of so many Muslims in the United Kingdom, where women are commonly subjected to forced marriage and the denial of basic human rights.

"We Muslims in Canada defeated an attempt by Islamists to sneak shari'ah law into Ontario," said AILC member Tarek Fatah, who has been on the front lines of this struggle for many years. "We recognized the damage shari'ah had inflicted on Muslims in the UK, and its oppressive nature in Muslim-majority countries, and decided to oppose it. We urge American Muslims not to succumb to the Islamists' propaganda, and to back the Michigan Bill, which will protect Muslims and non-Muslims alike from the impact of foreign laws that violate the U.S. or Michigan constitutions."

Did 9/11 Change the World?

In each century since our nation's founding, foreign enemies have tested the strength of the American republic, our national security, and our political principles. September 11, 2001 was not the first devastating attack on U.S. territory: in 1814, the British burned Washington, D.C., and, in 1941, the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. A look back at these two events reminds us that 9/11 is not as exceptional as it may seem.

Soon after the American Revolution, the Napoleonic wars in Europe prompted England and France to infringe upon American sovereignty on the high seas. France demanded bribes in its diplomacy and England impressed American citizens, forcing them to serve in the British Navy. In response to these violations of American independence, the United States sought to assert its sovereignty and secure the hard-won blessings of liberty for American citizens. But years of inadequate defense spending had left the United States ill-prepared to fight the War of 1812.

The few American victories in the War were directly attributable to the few earlier congressional appropriations for forts, frigates, regular troops, and officer training. These military preparations were far less than what Presidents Washington, Adams, and Jefferson had requested, because Congress was confident that diplomacy was sufficient to maintain peace. As a result, President James Madison was unable to defend the young capital. In the summer of 1814, British troops landed in Maryland and within eleven days captured Washington, D.C. They burned the Houses of Congress, the White House, and the Library of Congress (which housed Jefferson's collection of books). Though Great Britain and America soon negotiated a peace, the ultimate cost of the war was more expensive than increased defense preparations would have been.

Over a century later, Japan's growing military and increasingly aggressive policies in East Asia during the 1930s went largely unchecked. Confusion and discord at home in America led to timidity abroad. A growing isolationism on the one hand, and a deferring, altruistic foreign policy on the other, left American interests unprotected.

Even as World War II consumed the world, many Americans (having forgotten the lessons of their early foreign policy) pretended that the U.S. would remain unaffected. The attack on Pearl Harbor shattered such notions and required a bloody and costly war to defeat America's enemies and reassert America's sovereign independence.

September 11, 2001 did not change the world such that new principles are required to combat foreign enemies. We are still a people who exercise self-government at home and independence abroad. America has faced unrelenting enemies before: the British in the nineteenth century and the Japanese in the twentieth century. Combating the radical Islamic terrorists responsible for 9/11 has its own set of unique challenges. But the grand strategy required to address these challenges is still that of America's founding fathers.

In the twenty-first century, foreign powers continue to threaten our independence. America does not need to withdraw from world affairs to prevent attacks. Indeed, experience has shown that ignoring threats aboard makes us less safe at home. In the midst of America's fight to protect its independence from foreign powers, James Madison wrote, "it is a principle incorporated into the settled policy of America, that peace is better than war, war is better than tribute." It is America's commitment to its independence and readiness for war that continues to secure the blessings of liberty.

The Dalai Lama will be attending a forum with Tariq Ramadam, a prominent spokesperson for the "Religion of Peace," that will propose a resolution saying no religion's scriptures can be 'violated.'

This sounds like the OIC injunction against free speech in the UN.  In other words, if I say I object to your religion killing or subjugating me because I am not a Muslim and I am a woman, then I have violated your religion.  Then I really deserve to be killed or subjugated.

Neat.  (For you, not for me.)

The only way around this, it seems to me, is to insist that Islam is not like other religions because of the political content of its scriptures, and the actively aggressive expression of those scriptures.  This can be done calmly and logically.  

The inevitable accusations of Islamophobia can be stared down as manipulative denials of an obvious truth:  Islam is empirically frightening and what are Muslims going to do about it?  It is up to them to remove the scriptures and behaviors that are frightening - and enraging - the whole world.

Thirty-nine years ago. Yassir Arafat sent five Palestinian Terrorists into an Olympic Village dedicated to peace and international cooperation. Their successful mission was to shock the world by kidnapping and killing the Israeli Olympic team. This was the first terrorist tragedy played out live and worldwide on TV. We all remember the picture of the Ski-masked terrorist on the balcony.

Eleven innocents died that day. And the terrorist's won. Sure Golda Meir sent out a hit squad and killed most of the murderers behind the attack. But it was followed up by a world-wide effort to legitimize the terrorist Arafat which directly lead to the Oslo Accords and the second intifada. They say that those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it. That is an apt description of the most of the governments of the western world, they have returned to appeasing terrorists as if nothing ever happened.  Below is an account and a video of that horrible September day to help ensure that we don't forget:

Recognizing Palestine is OK. Its the riders I object to.

Last night I attended a panel discussion dealing with current issues in the conflict sponsored by AACI and HADAR. Avishay Braverman was one of the panelists. A former president of the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, he is currently a member of the Knesset for the Labor Party. Between 2009 and 2011 he served as Minister of Minorities. I had never heard him speak before but knew he had challenged Barak for the leadership of the Labor Party last time around. I had never heard him speak before.

He has a big booming voice and harangues the audience, at least this one. Very bombastic and condescending.

He made a strong case for peace now but it was based on the assumption that all we have to do is give them what they want including a small family reunification (but no right of return he insisted). He wasn't interested in demanding that they recognize Israel as a Jewish state. "I don't need their recognition" he said as though it was all about...

The Region: Plenty to worry about but little to fear

Since much of what I write about regional politics seems pessimistic, I periodically remind people why I'm an optimist, at least when it comes to Israel.

Even today, Israel's security situation is as good as or better than it has been since any time since the establishment of the state. The two main threats have always been either a potential attack by most or all Arab armies or a high level of successful cross-border terrorism.

At present, though, by Israeli standards, these two threats are relatively low. The immediate problem is rocket, missile and mortar attacks from the Gaza Strip. The longer-term threat - that seems to be continually postponed - is an Iranian nuclear capability.

On the level of threats from states, the problem is relatively minimal. The Saudis and Gulf Arabs, whose economic support would be vital in any confrontation, don't want war with Israel. The same applies to...

Turkey's foreign policy is in shambles

The Arab uprisings completely shuffled Turkey's cards and showed the limitations of its neo-Ottoman ambitions.

Israel's decision not to abide by the Turkish ultimatum about the need to apologize for the May 2010 Mavi Marmara flotilla incident brought the promised "Plan B" punishment: Turkey has decided to expel Israel's ambassador to Ankara, downgrade its diplomatic ties to the lowest possible level, to hold on all military agreements and to halt trade between Turkey and Israel.

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said his government would now provide full support to the families of those killed to pursue prosecution of any Israeli military or government members responsible for the deaths.

Moreover, President Abdullah Gul strongly condemned the United Nations Palmer Report, because it considered Israel's naval blockade of Gaza "a legitimate security measure" and stated that Turkey could have done more to dissuade the Turkish flotilla...

NIF leader: disappearance of Jewish state no tragedy

Actually, it's completely expected, not surprising at all. It's like your spouse admitting to having an affair. You knew it all along but hearing from her own lips is ... stunning.

Last year, the US Embassy in Tel Aviv interviewed a number of people in connection with a law being considered by the Knesset to require transparency in non-governmental organization (NGO) funding.

It had become common knowledge that huge amounts of money from such sources as European governments and the New Israel Fund (NIF) in the US were flowing to 'Israeli' NGOs - primarily left-wing organizations - which were acting against the interests of the State of Israel. A particularly egregious example was the way a group of these NGOs provided almost all of the anti-IDF material in the UN's vicious blood libel, the Goldstone Report.

Radical Islamic Group: We Will 'Make As Much Noise As Possible' During 9/11 Moment of Silence

On the tenth anniversary of the September 11 attacks, a radical Islamic group hopes to "expose the crimes of the American government," while showcasing its opinion that the U.S. has lost its battle against terrorism.

 

The group, Muslims Against Crusades (MAC), plans to purposefully disrupt a commemorative 9/11 ceremony. Participants pledge to make as much noise as possible during a planned moment of silence that will be held outside the U.S. Embassy of London next weekend.

The Fall of Two Empires

 The Cold War between the economic empire of the West and the socialist tyrannies of the East made it seem as if the future would belong to the coalition with the best industrial machine and largest military. In he 21st century though the industrial machine has been traded off to China, and ICBM's and armies haven't managed to settle the brewing low tech conflicts of both empires with the Muslim world.

The scene above is Moscow at Eid al-Fitr, as Muslims protest the lack of additional mosques with street prayers. But it could just as easily be London, Paris, New York or dozens of other cities. While the two empires were stacking up ICBM's, the Muslim world was stacking up babies. The empires suffer from low birth rates, and are experiencing an invasion that they have no defense against. 

Islam is demographically set to dominate Russia and Europe, reversing five centuries of history, and seizing control of the heartland for which the old empires fought. West Berlin, East Berlin, it makes no difference when Turkey's birth rate is double that of Germany. To the east, in Moscow and to the west in London, the overall picture is the same.

 The wave of bad news continues.

 Last week we learned that for the first time since 1945 we had a zero job growth for a month. With nothing on the horizon that will turn our condition around anytime soon the collapse of a number of liberal run states is all but certain. These states are run by spending addicts who can only be cured with a strong dose of reality.   

  Far and away the biggest debtor state in the country is California. At $134.6 billon the "Golden State's" debt is as large as a dozen states combined. The deficit it will run this year is nearly double Illinois's $15 billion and practically three times New York State's   $ 9 billion. California is the "house made of straw" in the liberal's fantasy land.

But for many on the left, it's the only way they can think of to get the economy moving again, and they think some sort of new New Deal should be included in President Obama's much-touted jobs speech on Thursday. Their end goal? The continued rise of big government.

Case in point: Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA). On Sunday's Meet the Press, she unveiled her prescription for pulling the U.S. economy out of its slump, and it carries an incredibly high price tag. "I'm talking about a jobs program of a trillion dollars or more," she said. "We've got to put Americans to work. That's the only way to revitalize this economy."

Hoffa on Tea Party: 'Take These Son-of-a-Bitches Out'

Cranking up the anti-Tea Party rhetoric, Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa called on workers to "take these son-of-a-bitches out" as he warmed up a crowd Monday in Detroit ahead of President Obama's Labor Day speech.

The rhetoric coming from speakers at the event was already heated before Hoffa took the stage. Hoffa then declared there's a "war on workers" and vowed that organized labor would "remember in November" which lawmakers were opposing the president's agenda.

Perhaps we should call it the Obama Birth Certificate 2011 Scam. Barack Obama released a clumsily photo-shopped document on the Internet and had the audacity to claim it was a copy of his original birth certificate, and then he actually expected patriotic Americans to sit down, shut up and forget about his Obama Birth Certificate 2011 chicanery.

But it's not that simple Mr. Obama. The plot thickens. California attorney Orly Taitz recently traveled to Hawaii and asked the Hawaii Department of Health (DOH) to allow her to view Barack Obama's original birth certificate, and DOH said "no." They told Taitz that Obama's original birth certificate is sealed as a matter of "privacy." What? ... What privacy? If the photo-shopped document that Obama released on the Internet is indeed a true copy of his birth certificate, how, can DOH claim that releasing it would violate Barack Obama's right to "privacy?"

Marco Rubio's courageous speech

The culture of government has displaced the culture of personal responsibility.

Florida's young Republican Senator Marco Rubio gave an important speech at the Reagan Presidential Library in California that has set off the liberal talking head universe.

He had the temerity to suggest that the huge growth in government's role in American life over the last century "actually weakened us as a people."

The resulting onslaught from liberal blogs and cable hosts comes as no surprise because Rubio directly took on the idol at which liberals worship - Big Government.

But his analysis was courageous and profound.

Eighty percent of Americans are not happy with the direction of the country. And, new Gallup polling shows that only 17 percent are positively disposed toward the federal government.

Americans want answers.

Summer's over, school is in and the campaign begins. The end of the Obama era is approaching! I hope you are rested and ready for what is guaranteed to be a very rough ride. There was a lot of action this past week -- not all of it good. In fact, much of it was downright ugly. Let's jump in!


Big Labor Declares War -- On Republicans

Labor Day is usually a holiday when Americans gather with friends and family for a time of fun and relaxation. Whether it's at the beach (which is where our family was this past week) or at backyard barbecues, most Americans didn't spend Labor Day gearing up for "war." Unless, of course, you happen to be a left-wing labor activist.

At a rally yesterday in Detroit, Michigan, Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa, Jr. was the warm-up act for President Obama. Here's an excerpt of Hoffa's remarks:

"We got to keep an eye on the battle that we face: The war on workers. And you see it everywhere, it is the Tea Party. And you know, there is only one way to beat and win that war. The one thing about working people is we like a good fight. And you know what? They've got a war, they got a war with us and there's only going to be one winner. ... We're going to win that war. President Obama, this is your army. We are ready to march. Let's take these son of bitches [sic] out..."

Hoffa's language was disgusting and vile, and Obama smiled the whole time! The irony is that blue collar workers are in a war -- not with conservatives, but with the job-killing policies of Obama!

Obama has given us trillions of dollars in new debt, and all he has to show for it is a 9.1% unemployment rate. As I argue in my Human Events column this week, Obama's job-killing, growth-stifling agenda has made him a very anti-worker president.

Heading into the campaign season with this sorry record and sagging poll numbers (more on that below), the Obama campaign is clearly on a war footing. Addressing an AFL-CIO rally in Cincinnati, Ohio, Vice President Joe Biden warned the crowd that the "middle class is under attack," and "You are the only folks keeping the barbarians from the gates." Biden added, "This is the fight of your life."

During one of John McCain's visits to Cincinnati in the 2008 campaign, a talk show host warmed up the crowd by referring to Obama as "Hussein." McCain immediately apologized for the comments.

Some commentators are wondering why Obama did not condemn Hoffa's remarks or rein in Biden's rhetoric. Here's why: Obama wants the rhetoric turned up. He wants conservatives smeared. Hoffa flew to Detroit with Obama on Air Force One! He was likely using rhetoric he was encouraged to use.

Prepare yourself. This campaign is going to be brutal. With 9.1% unemployment, hope and change is out the window. They are going to smear and libel conservatives and try to drive the Republican nominee's negatives so high that Obama and his failed policies will look good by comparison. Slash and burn is all the Obama Team has left.

Rush Limbaugh has been warning that however bad you think it's gotten, it will get worse -- much, much worse. And we've got some examples of what's to come.


Stoking Racial Division

Of all the hot button issues in American politics, race remains the most explosive. The hope that the election of America's first black president would heal old wounds has faded along with hope and change. In fact, Obama's allies now appear to be intentionally encouraging racial hatred.

In the days leading up to Labor Day, members of the Congressional Black Caucus tried to smear the Tea Party movement as if it were a mass revival of the Ku Klux Klan. One member even suggested that some conservatives wouldn't be satisfied until blacks were dead.

Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL) recently blamed racism for high unemployment in the black community. She later said, "Let us all remember who the real enemy is. The real enemy is the Tea Party -- the Tea Party holds the Congress hostage. They have one goal in mind, and that's to make President Obama a one-term president."

Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. (D-IL) attempted to portray Texas Governor Rick Perry as a racist for expressing his support for the Tenth Amendment. Jackson issued a statement suggesting that the Tenth Amendment was a pro-slavery amendment. Consider this excerpt:

"Governor Rick Perry wants to be the champion of the Tenth Amendment and states' rights... He said he wants to 'work every day to try to make Washington, DC, as inconsequential in your life as I can.' ...He apparently believes, as Ronald Reagan did, that the federal government is not the solution. The federal government is the problem. Truer words or more faithful ideas could not have been attributed to Confederate President Jefferson Davis... After-all, it was the Tenth Amendment and states' rights that protected the institution of slavery. The words 'slave' or 'slavery' did not appear in the Constitution. The institution of slavery, the Tenth Amendment and states' rights are joined at the hip. ..."

Not to be outdone, Rep. Andre Carson (D-IN) said this: "Some of these folks in Congress right now would love to see us as second class citizens. Some of them in Congress right now with this Tea Party movement would love to see you and me... hanging on a tree." It is hard to think of a more evil, divisive tactic than the race baiting these left-wing Democrats have chosen to engage in.

To his credit, Rep. Allen West (R-FL) has threatened to resign from the Congressional Black Caucus if its leadership does not condemn this outrageous slander. West isn't holding his breath. The CBC isn't backing down. Why should they? The media have been largely silent.

Unfortunately, this appears to have been an orchestrated effort to try out new campaign themes, presumably with Obama's blessing since he has not condemned the remarks. This is an effort by the left to strengthen support for Obama with his base because his policies are costing him support among moderates and independents.

Responsible journalists should forcefully condemn this kind of vile, hateful rhetoric. And so too should President Obama. It is incredibly dangerous for members of the Congressional Black Caucus to use the language of lynchings when we already have flash mobs of urban minority youth engaged in hate crimes around the country.


Pollapalooza

There is a slew of new polling data out -- none of it good news for President Obama. Here's a quick rundown.

• The latest ABC/Washington Post poll finds Obama at a record low approval rating of just 43%, while 53% of Americans disapprove, a record high for ABC and the Post. Sixty-two percent disapprove of Obama's handling of the economy, and 77% say America is headed in the wrong direction.
  
  The poll also asked Americans whether they favored smaller government with fewer services or larger government with more services. By an 18-point margin (56%-to-36%), Americans said they preferred smaller government with fewer services. (Are you paying attention, Rep. Jackson?) But, according to the poll, 70% of Americans believe that Obama prefers the exact opposite -- bigger government. Clearly Obama is out of step with the American people and their desire for less government, lower taxes and more freedom.
• The latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll also finds President Obama scoring a record low approval rating, 44%, while just 37% approve of his handling of the economy. Moreover, just 40% said they would probably vote to reelect Obama, while 44% preferred to vote for the Republican candidate. Based on the survey's findings, Democrat strategist Peter Hart concluded, "Obama is no longer the favorite to win re-election."
• The latest Politico/George Washington University Battleground poll pegged Obama's approval rating at 45%. But on the economy, likely voters disapproved of Obama's performance by a 20-point margin (39%-to-59%).
• While the polls had bad news for Obama, they had good news for Rick Perry. The Politico and NBC News/Wall Street Journal polls found Perry leading the GOP primary field by 19 and 15 points respectively. In addition to these national polls, Scott Rasmussen reports that Perry is leading in Iowa with 29%. Michele Bachmann is second with 18%. Romney is third with 17%, followed by Ron Paul at 14%. No other candidate receives double-digit support.
