If you know the good work of the Heritage Foundation for our cause, you know it is really exciting to have Mr. Knepper as our guest speaker.

    The July 8^th meeting of the Valley Forge Patriots will be held at a new location, the Phoenixville Country Club (PCC). The PCC is located on Country Club Road approximately 2 miles south of Route 23. The room we will be using can comfortably seat over 100 people, so don't hesitate to bring friends. As at previous venues, table food service of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and beer, wine and soda will be available throughout the meeting. Food and drinks are offered at PCC member prices --- cash and credit cards accepted. There is plenty of free parking.  Dress code,   please no hats.  This meeting will be free but we would appreciate donations.

     Along with the usual agenda items, our featured speaker will be Leo Knepper of the Heritage Foundation. Leo is the PA State Director for Heritage Action and he will be speaking on "How to be an effective lobbyist/activist" His talk will cover, Heritage Action, Effective Communication and Preparing for Legislator contact. Just as a pebble can start an avalanche, we will not rest until millions of righteous people arise to stop those who would destroy Israel and bring America to her knees. Our voices must be heard. Next step: take it to the floor of the People's House. Take it to the Well!    
 As you know, Israel is receiving tremendous pressure directly from President Obama and his administration to accept the 1967 armistice lines as her new borders. Implementation of these borders would mean that parts of Israel would become Arab-Palestinian, regardless of a UN Hamas/Fatah mandate. 
   
 The reality is: Obama's G8 resolution and a UN mandate are one and the same - to place Israel in a most vulnerable, threatened position by September, forcing her to accept the word of terrorists. If the President were to pursue his desired course of action to fruition, the United States would be destined to collapse from within. She would never recover from the debt incurred from abandoning her position as defender of freedom in this world. 
   
 What we can do?
  
 Everyone agrees that we must do something -- but what? There are those who say that we must make demands directly to the President through the White House, and those who argue that we must demand that Congress end appropriations to Fatah/Hamas.  Unfortunately, none of the suggested strategies has been effective in stopping Obama's advance.  He has let us know that he is not going to listen.  In order to be victorious, we need a change in tactics - an effective strategy that can produce real change. 
   
 Proven Strategy 
   
 There is one strategy proven to work, and it requires a simple action from all concerned. Everyone has to make one phone call per day, every day, to achieve what Americans were able to accomplish in 2007.  
  
 In 2007, there was a push by the President to pass the "Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act." Many Americans hated the bill, so they "melted the phone lines" day after day, until Congress got the message, and the bill was not passed. The initiative was abandoned. 
  
 Now it's our time to turn up the heat - while implementing the same strategy is crucial, our challenge is far greater. The severity of the threat that that our nation faces from Obama's foreign policy towards Israel is unprecedented. It calls for nothing less than a Congressional State-of-Emergency Referendum.  
  
 Tapping into the power that Congress can exercise from the Well of the House will produce the desired result.  We must take our message to the Well, the "American People's Soap Box," so that our Representatives can make our case directly to the citizens of this great nation. 
   
 We urge every single member of our coalition to first call Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, 202-225-5021 or 305-668-2285, and request: "As an informed citizen, I ask Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, a high-ranking member of the House of Representatives, to read the following statement daily from the Well of the House until she receives a reply:

2. Obama's class warfare... against Obama's stimulus program.

Even for Barack Obama, this is simultaneously: shameless; and clueless.

"I've said to Republican leaders, 'You go talk to your constituents and ask them, "Are you willing to compromise your kids' safety so some corporate-jet owner can get a tax break?" ' "

Just in case any viewer missed his class-clashing message, Obama referred to corporate-jet owners at least three more times before he took his second question.

It's shameless because President Obama has only one rhetorical trick, and that's to demonize everybody who disagrees with whatever faux-Hegelian position he's ended up taking on any given day. It's particularly clueless because what the President apparently doesn't know is that the latest iteration of the tax break in question was put into place as part of Barack Obama's own 2009 "stimulus."

3. Obama 'Gingerly' Weighs In On NLRB Attack On Boeing Jobs

Ever since his union appointees at the National Labor Relations Board launched an attack on the Boeing Company and its creating thousands of jobs in South Carolina, the 'independent' union agency has found itself the subject of much derision and President Obama has been challenged to 'step up' and tell the NLRB to back off.

On Wednesday, according to the Hill, Obama finally "weighed in" on the NLRB fracas...gingerly.

4. Strategic Petroleum Reserve to be Renamed "The Hope and Change Re-Election PAC"

You heard it here first.

The International Energy Agency, a body whose membership parallels the G-20 and which is dominated by members of the EU, announced that it may consider releasing more oil from "its stockpile" (1.6 billion barrels, nearly half of that in the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve) at the end of the current 30-day, 2 million barrels per day period.

5. Say No to Baucus Trade Deal

While Obama has spent the past two years pandering to leftist dictators in Latin America, he has also impeded ratification of free trade agreements with our allies. Along with Democrat leaders in Congress, Obama has refused to approve the 5-year-old trade pacts with Columbia, Panama, and South Korea unless Republicans agree to renew a trade subsidy program known as Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA). Yesterday, Senator Max Baucus (D-MT) announced that he had secured a novel compromise with House Ways and Means Chairman Dave Camp (R-Mich.) and the president. Drum roll.... He will agree to fast track the trade agreements if ...Republicans agree to renew the TAA program! Wow, who needed two years' worth of negotiations?

6. Democrat Congressmen in Love with Hamas Love Boat

The western organizations that agitate for Hamas are preparing for the next Flotilla circus, in which they plan to breach Israel's blockade of Hamasistan (aka Gaza). This 15-ship fleet includes a vessel that will carry 36 American leftists. The ship is appropriately named The Audacity of Hope, as a tribute to the most pro-Palestinian leader of the free world. No, they are not bringing hope and change to the region; they are bringing deadly chemicals to throw on the Israeli soldiers who will inevitably board the ship. Now, six Democrats are asking the State Department to protect the American leftists while they offer aid and comfort to our enemies.

We demand... the greatest possible consideration of small business in the purchases of national, state, and municipal governments. In order to make possible to every capable and industrious [citizen] the attainment of higher education and thus the achievement of a post of leadership, the government must provide an all-around enlargement of our entire system of public education... We demand the education at government expense of gifted children of poor parents... The government must undertake the improvement of public health-by protecting mother and child, by prohibiting child labor... by the greatest possible support for all clubs concerned with the physical education of youth. We combat the... materialistic spirit within and without us, and are convinced that a permanent recovery of our people can only proceed from within on the foundation of the common good before the individual good.

Yep, it was the Nazi Party, Munich, February 1920. 

Pick a fight with a liberal on:

"SUSTAINABILITY."
Mmm. It sounds so nice, doesn't it? Sustain-the word Sting chants (we can imagine) during his interminable tantric yoga sessions. Sustenance-stuff that tastes good and keeps you going. Sustainability-making sure that never again does the world suffer the mass slaughter of the buffalo or an overfishing disaster... Don't be fooled. The real reason you hear "sustainability" bandied about so much these days is because of a Marxist power grab which began at the 1992 Rio Earth Summit when chief organizer and One World Government advocate Maurice Strong inserted the word into key documents. Since the nit has spread like a virus through government and grass roots activist organizations. What "sustainability" really means is giving eco-Nazis over whom you have no democratic control carte blanche to dictate how you use your land, when and how you can travel, and even when you take a shower.  

Fellow patriots,

Hopefully the attorneys for Abercrombie and Fitch are smart enough not to buckle to this act of intimidation, and the court where this case is tried is not so ignorant and politically correct that it is fooled by Hani Khan's false logic.

The point here is that hijabs and other forms of "Islamic" head gear are not required by Islam.  If this headgear is not required by Islam then a prohibition from wearing the headgear is not religious repression. 

A quick look at photos from the non-extremist-controlled Islamic world demonstrates that this headgear is entirely optional, and is more of a political statement here in the West than a religious one.  Some examples:

Indonesia 

Using the logic of Hani Khan's case, we should soon expect to see fashion models demanding to wear hijabs as they strut the latest Italian fashions, hair product models demanding to wear hijabs, and Playboy bunnies demanding to wear burqas on the job.  In other words, Abercrombie and Fitch sell fashion and a "look."  Islamic headgear violates the fashion and the look, and it is ridiculous to expect the company to destroy its image for the sake of the whims of an employee who could EASILY wear clothes appropriate for the store or seek a job elsewhere.  For the court to decide otherwise would create a legal environment that would eventually require Christian bookstores to employ Satanists if the Satanists so desired.  So the question Khan's case raises is: WHO IS CREATING A HOSTILE WORK ENVIRONMENT FOR WHOM?

Obviously, Khan's lawsuit is just another act of intimidation and lawfare designed to make another Western institution capitulate by foce to Islam in a very public way.  This is politics, not religion.  It's all about submitting to Islam, either through conversion or dhimmitude.  Please spread the word to everyone you know!

Muslim woman sues Abercrombie & Fitch over hijab

SAN FRANCISCO - A former stockroom worker for Abercrombie & Fitch Co. sued the clothing retailer in federal court Monday, saying she was illegally fired after refusing to remove her Muslim headscarf while on the job.

Hani Khan said a manager at the company's Hollister Co. store at the Hillsdale Mall in San Mateo hired her while she was wearing her hijab. The manager said it was OK to wear it as long as it was in company colors, Khan said.

Four months later, the 20-year-old says a district manager and human resources manager asked if she could remove the hijab while working, and she was suspended and then fired for refusing to do so.

It's the latest employment discrimination charge against the company's so-called "look policy," which critics say means images of mostly white, young, athletic-looking people. The New Albany, Ohio-based company has said it does not tolerate discrimination.

Still, Abercrombie has been the target of numerous discrimination lawsuits, including a federal class action brought by black, Hispanic and Asian employees and job applicants that was settled for $40 million in 2004. The company admitted no wrongdoing, though it was forced to implement new programs and policies to increase diversity.

In that speech the president adopted a new policy: Israeli-Palestinian negotiations should be based on the "1967 lines" with agreed land swaps. This position had previously been that of the Palestinian side, and Obama's adherence to it undermined Israel's negotiating position. It means, for example, that the Western Wall of the ancient Temple, Judaism's holiest place but conquered by Jordan in 1948, is to be regarded as legitimately part of Palestine, such that Israel must trade some of its own pre-1967 territory to keep it.

But the president did not propose any actions: no conference, no new envoy, no invitations to Washington, nothing. He did not even dispatch Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to tour the area, in the traditional substitution of motion for progress. There was, as Rob Satloff of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy has explained, "a policy without a strategy. It is no surprise, therefore, that others have begun to fill the vacuum-a development that is almost always unwelcome."

Get Well, Hugo

Reports say that Venezuelan strongman Hugo Chavez may be seriously ill. In Dictatorspeak, seriously ill means seriously dead. And seriously dead, means there's a revolution coming up shortly. But whether Hugo Chavez is dead, sick or just vacationing in Cuba for his health-- there's no reason for him to feel down.

Even if Hugo Chavez is dead, his brother Adan Chavez has vowed to use force to stay in power. And that is the true socialist way. If you can't win an election or keep your strongman seated upright on his throne without stuffing him full of hay, then bring out the army and show the rabble who's really in charge. Nothing proves you're a man of the people like ruling through armed force.

And with so many brothers already in power, the Chavez clan can look forward to a long career of wealth redistribution. With his father and brother running one state, another brother running a town, and more scattered around cabinets, banks and other high offices, there's enough Chavez's to go around. Lose a Chavez and swap in another one. It works in Cuba, why not in Venezuela?

Last week, President Shimon Peres warned that written peace agreement on Jerusalem will cause a "world war." Now, leading Kadima Knesset Member and former IDF Chief of Staff Shaul Mofaz says conflict is the fate of a United Nations declaration recognizing the Palestinian Authority as a country.

In a speech at the Bedouin city of Hura in the northern Negev President Peres said that there is a de facto peace in Jerusalem, where "the entire prayers rise up together, and the government doesn't intervene. People are living and working peacefully... but if they try to put it into writing, a world war will break out."

The prospect of war being an inevitable result of diplomatic moves was underscored by Mofaz, who said that a United Nations declaration of the Palestinian Authority as an independent country based on its own unilateral definition of its borders also would cause a conflict.

Will U.S. Suspend Aid to Egypt's Military?

Stunning numbers want Congress to probe Obama's eligibility

Analyst says 'birthers' can't be marginalized, as 28% of Democrats agree

Half of Americans would like to see Congress investigate Barack Obama's eligibility for the presidency and nearly that many believe the definition of the constitutional term "natural born citizen" means both parents must be U.S. citizens, according to a new scientific poll.

"There's no marginalizing those who want this matter investigated by Congress," said Fritz Wenzel of Wenzel Strategies, who conducted the WND/Wenzel Poll telephone survey June 16-19. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.85 points.

"Even among Democrats, more than one in four - 28 percent - said they now want an inquiry, as do 43 percent of independents and 77 percent of Republicans. Interestingly, men are much more skeptical than are women about the question of eligibility - only 42 percent of men said they think Obama proved his eligibility by releasing...

"Here are a few things the framers did not know about: World War II. DNA. Sexting. Airplanes. The atom. Television. Medicare. Collateralized debt obligations. The germ theory of disease. Miniskirts. The internal combustion engine. Computers. Antibiotics. Lady Gaga."

TIME managing editor Richard Stengel opens his deeply flawed 5,000-word article on the Constitution with this self-evident chronological platitude. Reading through his piece, it soon appears there are a few things he doesn't know.

Let's begin with the basics. Citizens of all political persuasions who uphold the Constitution are not pining to turn back the clock on technological advances and social progress and return to the late 18th century to live in a world where men wore powdered wigs and doctors "still used leeches." Constitutionalists aren't hapless characters in a political remake of Woody Allen's latest movie Midnight in Paris.

In arguing for the enduring relevance of the Constitution, they're upholding the republican framework of limited constitutional government that it sets in place. The Framers may be dead and gone, but their timeless principles endure.

These principles, although first articulated centuries ago, are not tied to the material conditions of a bygone age. They rest on that most solid and enduring of all foundations: human nature. Madison's rhetorical question in Federalist 51 rings true as ever: "But what is government itself, but the greatest of all reflections on human nature?" The miniskirt, sexting, and collateralized debt obligations haven't put much of a dent on good ol' human nature. Until men become angels, let's stick to the Constitution's healthy distrust of concentration of power and unfettered mob rule.

Times change. Issues flare up and drop off the radar. Science continues to deliver wonders. The Constitution is meant to create a framework for a free people to confront the political questions of their times. The Constitution itself contains no policy prescriptions. Its words and principles, anchored in the Declaration of Independence, categorically rule out certain laws-e.g., bills of attainder- and create a system of checks and balance between different levels of government. But within the confines of these restrictions and delineations, it leaves the people free to deliberate via their elected representatives on the questions and problems of the day.

Having established this basic point, let's take a swing at some of the many low-hanging rotten fruits in Stengel's constitutional musings.

 "The Constitution works so well precisely because it is so opaque, so general, so open to various interpretations. Originalists contend that the Constitution has a clear, fixed meaning. But the framers argued vehemently about its meaning."
 
For all their heated disagreements over issues such as the chartering of a national bank, the Framers agreed on the fundamental principles undergirding the Constitution. Most importantly, they agreed that there must be limits to the powers of government to avoid tyranny. Stengel's "constitutionalism" recognizes no theoretical limits to the scope of government. The debate that the Constitution should foster concerns its proper limits-not whether there are any limits.

This is one of the most shameless lies peddled by the liberal intelligentsia. The Constitution does not classify people according to race. While the Constitution does compromise with slave-holding interests, free blacks in the North and the South were counted on par with whites for purposes of apportionment and black citizens were voting in five of the original 13 states at the time of the Founding. As for enslaved blacks, it was the Southern states that wanted to count them as full persons, thereby inflating pro-slavery representation in the House. The three-fifths compromise was aimed at preventing Southern states from magnifying their own political power.
 
"If the Constitution was intended to limit the federal government, it sure doesn't say so. Article I, Section 8, the longest section of the longest article of the Constitution, is a drumroll of congressional power."

This is absurd. From the wording of the legislative vesting clause-"All legislative powers herein granted"-to the specific restrictions placed on Congress in Article I, Section 9 and in the Bill of Rights, including the unambiguously constraining language of the Tenth Amendment, the Constitution creates a government of limited enumerated powers.

The Framers didn't know the first thing about "Poker Face" or the double helix, but they at least had the excuse of living two centuries before Lady Gaga and Watson and Crick. Stengel is the managing editor of the country's largest news magazine and, hold your breath, the former president and chief executive officer of the National Constitution Center. He has no excuse for knowing so little about the Constitution.

The Alarm is Sounding Across
 the Nation About Agenda 21.
 

I need your help to spread the message because time is running out for American freedom and independence.

Here is the threat

Agenda 21 is a threat coming from the United Nations that is invading every city and town in the nation. It leads to control over private property, energy use, water use; it means government will control how hot your shower may be, how much air conditioning or heat you may use, controls on owning and using your car, controls on food production, controls on population growth, and so much more.

The policy of Agenda 21 comes in many names, such as Sustainable Development, Smart Growth, historic preservation, diversity, open space, heritage areas and comprehensive planning.

It all means locking away land, resources, higher prices, sacrifice and shortages and is based on the age old socialist scheme of redistribution of wealth.

Agenda 21 is being implemented in your community by a hoard of Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) with private political agendas. They surround your elected officials and pressure them to accept these policies.

The most prominent NGO is called the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI). More than 600 American cities are paying dues to ICLEI to set up Agenda 21 plans and policies that control your life. 

Through the enforcement of non-elected boards, councils and regional governments, Agenda 21 is the blueprint to turn your community into a little soviet. Our nation is being transformed into a centrally-controlled planned economy - the exact opposite of America's unique Republic.

But there is now a growing battle to stop Agenda 21.

And my organization, The American Policy Center (APC) is the recognized leader in this fight.  
 
Desperate Americans are looking to APC for help.

I am buried under calls and letters of people asking for help in their community. The invitations to speak to groups are overwhelming.

The number of people visiting the APC Internet web site has doubled in just the past two months as desperate people are learning about us and downloading our Sustainable Development special reports and articles.

And for the very first time I am getting phone calls from elected officials who want to talk to me about these policies they are being forced to put into place. They want to understand and learn how to fight back.

As a direct result of APC's efforts, we are winning some astounding fights.

Let me give you just a sample of what has happened across the nation in battle after battle in local communities to remove ICLEI and stop the spread of Sustainable Development - in just the past 6 months:

• In February, Carroll County, Maryland elected 5 new county commissioners. Their first act was to close the county's Sustainable Development Office and fire its manager. They then ended their contract with ICLEI and rejected the county's ICLEI-written comprehensive development plan - telling the planning commission to re-work it to protect property rights and assure the plan was in compliance with the U.S. Constitution. Carroll County Commissioner Richard Rothschild called me soon after his election and told me it was APC materials that he used to educate the other commissioners and lead the fight.
• Also in February, Amador County, California was the second community to reject its contract with ICLEI and begin to dismantle the Sustainable Development policies that had been put in place. The effort was led by the "Mother Lode Tea Party."
• In March, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania became the third community to reject its ICLEI contract and send them packing. The effort was again led by local activists Ruth Miller and Maggie Roddin, armed with APC materials. I had talked several times with these leaders before they led their successful effort.
• In April, Edmond, Oklahoma became the fourth community to reject ICLEI and its policies. The Edmond City Council was confronted by nearly 200 citizens demanding that the city end its contract with ICLEI.
• In May, Las Cruces, New Mexico became the fifth community to out ICLEI and I have been invited to be the keynote speaker at a conference there this summer, sponsored by the group that led the ICLEI fight.
• In June, Spartanburg, SC became city number 6 to oust ICLEI by a city council vote of six to zero.  
• Also in June, Albemarle County, Virginia Board of Supervisors voted 4-2 to reject its contract with ICLEI.
• Daily I receive notes and calls from leaders in communities across the nation who seek to be the next city to defeat ICLEI and Sustainable Development. Currently there are battles waging in Titusville, Florida;  Cleveland, Tennessee; Waterloo, Iowa; Wabash, Indiana; Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska, Elkhart County, Indiana; Santa Cruz, California; San Antonio, Texas, Chesterfield County, Virginia, and many more.     

APC has been involved in almost every one of these fights. If not directly, at the least activists are using APC materials and articles to educate the community and engage in the battle.
    
Truly, APC is having a major influence on this  fight to save America from this "wrenching transformation" called Agenda 21

But we face a huge uphill battle against international organizations with massive war chests. They are well organized and have powerful influence over elected officials. And they are starting to fight back against our success. APC is now targeted by them.  

I need to know this: Will you help me raise the funds necessary for APC to continue to fight this battle?

At a bare minimum, APC needs to raise an immediate $50,000 in the next few weeks.

You can help in two ways.

First, send APC a contribution for at least $25. I need to get APC materials into the hands of every single city councilman and county commissioner across the nation.

And I need to travel to as many communities as possible, speaking and conducting radio interviews. We need to alert more Americans to join us in this battle to stop Agenda 21.

I hope this email clarifies what we are trying to accomplish today with the anti-TSA groping bills. 

Texas activists and others around the country are teaming up to pass the nation's first anti-TSA groping bill in the State's legislature.

Yesterday, the Senate version, SB 29, passed the Texas Senate.  That bill was modified but passed largely in tact. It's not perfect but it's good from what I hear. 

The House version, HB 41, has been amended and is now an atrocious bill.  If HB 41 passed, it would actually reenforce the TSA's authority to (sexually) assault us at the state level.  

We are asking activists everywhere to call Speaker Joe Straus's office urging him to refer the Senate version, SB 29 to committee, IMMEDIATELY.  

The Texas Special Session ends tomorrow so we are on a very tight deadline.  

If he refers SB 29 to committee, then the legislators will choose one of the bills or combine parts from each bill for a final version.

 Pennsylvania Governor Signs NRA-Backed Castle Doctrine into Law

Fairfax, Va. - Governor Tom Corbett has signed Pennsylvania Castle Doctrine legislation into law. This common-sense measure permits law-abiding citizens to use force, including deadly force, against an attacker in their home and any place where they have a legal right to be. It also protects individuals from civil lawsuits by an attacker or attacker's family when force is used.

"Gov. Corbett and Pennsylvania lawmakers know that law-abiding citizens must have the right to protect themselves when criminals attack without fear of being second-guessed by an overzealous prosecutor," said Chris W. Cox, executive director, National Rifle Association's Institute for Legislative Action. "Crime victims don't have the luxury of time when confronted by a criminal and must be able to count on the law being on their side. This new law accomplishes that by removing any mandate of forcible retreat."

The NRA has led the nationwide movement to pass Castle Doctrine legislation, beginning with Florida in 2005. Pennsylvania is the 27th state to adopt this important measure with overwhelming bipartisan support. House Bill 40, sponsored by Rep. Scott Perry (R-92), passed by a 164 to 37 margin. Richard Alloway, II (R-33), sponsored the companion bill to HB 40, Senate Bill 273, which passed 43-4.

"I am very gratified that Governor Corbett has signed this legislation into law, correcting the grievous error made by the previous administration in denying these long-sought protections to our citizens," said Rep. Perry. "There are many people who have worked hard to get this legislation to this point, and I am grateful to my House and Senate colleagues and to the National Rifle Association for their support. The time has finally come to return common sense and good judgment to state government, and this legislation is a step in that direction. A criminal should never have an advantage over a citizen who abides by the rules of decent society, and today, we finally achieved the goal of returning the right of self-defense to the law-abiding."

"Law-abiding gun owners should not have to fear prosecution for acting to prevent a violent crime," said Sen. Alloway, who introduced Castle Doctrine legislation that was approved by the Senate in March. "I am thankful that the General Assembly has taken action to protect responsible gun owners who respond when facing a serious threat from a criminal. I would also like to thank the NRA for their strong leadership and hard work on this effort as it moved through the legislative process."

"On behalf of NRA members and all gun owners in Pennsylvania, I would like to thank Rep. Perry; Sen. Alloway; and Gov. Corbett for their leadership in helping make Castle Doctrine a reality for Pennsylvanians," concluded Cox. "This Castle Doctrine bill places the law on the side of law-abiding gun owners who unfortunately become victims of crime - exactly where the law should be."

Glenn Beck says his family was accosted while watching a movie in a New York City park Monday night. On his radio show and his website today, Beck described the incident and said an angry moviegoer kicked a glass of wine onto his wife Tania's back, and as she got up to walk away, a man shouted: "We hate conservatives here."

"We didn't leave. My staff this morning said: 'Why didn't you leave right away.' That was uncomfortable," Beck said, as he described the incident, which occurred while he and his family were watching a screening of Alfred Hitchcock's "The 39 Steps" in New York's Bryant Park. "I said because I have a right to watch a movie and enjoy a movie with my family in the park. I have a right."

Christie Signs Bill Reining in Employee Benefits

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has signed landmark employee benefits legislation requiring a half-million public workers to pay more for pension and health benefits.

Christie says the move is necessary to shore up the state's badly underfunded retirement systems. He predicts New Jersey's fix will be emulated nationally by other states facing similar shortfalls.

The Republican governor says the bill he signed Tuesday got through the Legislature because of bipartisan support.

Democrats who lead the Legislature supported it. But most rank-and-file lawmakers sided with public-sector unions in opposing it.

Blue State liberals are not like us; they just aren't

The Left is painting itself into a corner that is accelerating the destruction of its fortresses across the country. The red ink soaked Democrats who control Illinois New York California and Massachusetts are seemingly doing everything they can to drive their states into bankruptcy.

While Red States such as Alabama Georgia and Arizona have busied themselves passing firm anti-illegal alien laws, America's Bluest States are busy committing social and financial suicide and taking their dwindling number of American patriots with them.

To make it harder for the police to protect their citizens from criminal illegal aliens all four of these Blue states have withdrawn from participation in the federal "Secure Communities" program which helps local law enforcers identify and  deport illegal alien felons in their custody.

Rather than drill, Obama plays games with the Strategic Petroleum Reserve

"President Barack Obama has chosen a curious moment to release 30 million barrels of oil from the nation's Strategic Petroleum Reserve. The president initially justified the release as protection against disruptions in supply caused by the conflict in Libya. Later, the administration changed the explanation, saying Obama hopes to stabilize gasoline prices going into the summer vacation driving season. Libya is an important source of oil. But the fighting there has not had a major impact on supplies. And oil prices have fallen back in recent weeks from their yearly highs. ... As we've said when previous presidents considered using the reserve to influence short-term prices, that's not what the stockpile is there for. The reserve is designed to shield the American economy from dramatic disruptions in the oil supply. Such a major cutoff hasn't happened. Using the reserve to manipulate market prices is a futile enterprise. ... The president's decision to release oil reserves, coming at a time when his approval rating is sinking, opens him to criticism that his re-election campaign is driving his economic and energy decisions. He can claim credit for future declines in gasoline prices that may have occurred naturally. If the priority of the administration is now to keep gasoline cheap, it should also drop its opposition to increased domestic oil production, which would have a larger impact on long-term oil prices than would tapping into the reserve. Likewise, that goal should also inform its current considerations of sharply higher fuel economy standards for the automotive fleet. ... Thank you immensely for your phone calls over the last few days supporting state's rights and travelers dignity in Texas.  If you have not yet heard, Texas State Senate Bill 29, the anti-grope bill failed today in a House vote to suspend the rules. 

Let me be very clear on what happened - the bill was killed by the Texas leadership.  

Lieutenant Governor Dewhurst launched a partisan attack on an issue that was nonpartisan to intentionally dissuade Democratic support.  (A divide and conquer tactic at its best.)  This original bill had bipartisan cosponsors and passed the House unamously. Once Dewhurst got involved, he launched political attacks to intentionally weaken support.  (Democrats pulled away from it out of fear they would be seen attacking their administration.)  

Speaker Joe Straus, officially deserves the most credit for destroying the original bill.  Last Friday when members came prepared to vote for the bill's passage, Straus claimed there was no quorum (enough members in the chamber to conduct business) so he gaveled in canceling the vote.  The roll call proved there was a quorum and that he is a treacherous liar. (Please remember Joe Straus's name and always vote against him.)  

Finally, Governor Perry did not help matters.  He delayed calling the bill to special session to prevent its passage or run-the-clock to kill time in the session.

Representative David Simpson, on the other hand, is a tried and true friend of liberty.  He was the bill's original sponsor in the House, drafted a strong bill and fought tenaciously for its passage. 

After the Texas State Senate adjourned yesterday, activists were divided on supporting the final version of SB 29.  Any changes to its language would have killed it since the Senate wouldn't be there to receive it.  The bill in its final form was troubling because it nearly reenforced (not just watered-down) the TSA's authority to grope people randomly.   

Despite the legislative outcome, I remind you that efforts were purely led by grassroots activists.  Not one single media outlet covered the issue on a national scale.  And not one single major national organization like the ACLU or Bill of Rights Committee provided resources of any kind. 

Texas residents and local tea party activists mobilized their Representatives into subordination.  With little resources, they put the national spotlight on the Texas legislature and leadership on the defensive.  They also strengthened a political coalition locally and inspired activists nationwide to encourage officials to adopt similar bills.

I suggest expanding the state's rights movement across the nation. Encourage your local and state representatives to introduce the language of the original bill.  And contact your local Tenth Amendment Center for help. (Not resources, just guidance.)

One of the Bryant Park moviegoers who harassed Glenn and his family wrote a tender defense of her actions, portraying herself in angelic light and denying anything out of the ordinary happened. Apparently this idiot didn't think anyone would ever read her Twitter history, which reveals a very angry person plotting to try and get Glenn to leave. She and her friends tried to delete their accounts - but they weren't quite fast enough. #FAIL
