The Muslim faith, the Islamic geopolitical movement and Sharia Law form a serious challenge to our national traditions of religious freedom, the first amendment and our cultural notions of freedom and equality. How the United States deals with this challenge will greatly impact our established ideas and laws concerning freedom of religion and our constitutional republic. The United Kingdom government has sanctioned the implementation of Sharia law, giving Sharia judges full arbitration powers, enforceable by the British judicial system.

The prospect of this occurring in the US  is very real and deserves our awareness Come hear speaker Kenneth Happel address these important issues. Mr. Happel has been a public speaker at civics organizations, science and industry conventions, symposia, and government review boards. He has a unique world view of business and defense intelligence and specializes in sharing techniques to discover "what is so" about current issues.

Obama's TSA Now Storming Public Places 8,000 Times a Year

The American Thinker | By Tara Servatius | June 20, 2011

Obama's TSA Now Storming Public Places 8,000 Times a YearAmericans must to decide if, in the name of homeland security, they are willing to allow TSA operatives to storm public places in their communities with no warning, pat them down, and search their bags. And they better decide quickly.

Bus travelers were shocked when jackbooted TSA officers in black SWAT-style uniforms descended unannounced upon the Tampa Greyhound bus station in April with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies and federal bureaucrats in tow.

A news report by ABC Action News in Tampa showed passengers being...

Restoring Courage - Jerusalem 2011

"We have gone to the capitals of our states and to the capitals of our government.  We have talked to all the power brokers.  The only power broker, the only seat of government that can and will solve this problem with or without us is God.  It is time to return inside the walls that surround Jerusalem and stand with people of all faiths, all around the world," Glenn said in his initial announcement.

"In August, whether I'm there with seven people or 10 people or there alone, I will stand.  I ask you to join me.  I also ask you to take this message globally, to take this to every corner of the earth.  If you have family living overseas, this is not an America solution.  This is a people of faith solution.  This is a people all over the world solution.  I ask you to help get this word out."

AGENDA 21 - SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT MEETING

WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT

 UN AGENDA 21

aka Local Agenda 21 & "sustainable development"

WILL SHOCK YOU!!!

Do you have a nagging feeling something is wrong, but you don't know exactly what?  Who controls the US?   Who writes our laws?       Is it our elected officials or a higher organization like the UN?  Do you know where our money comes from and how debt affects us?

Join us Saturday, July 23rd - 6pm                                              PJ Ryan's  231 Bridge St., Phoenixville - private downstairs meeting room

There will be a discussion about UN Agenda 21 Sustainable Development, Property Rights & our Money.  This meeting may help fill in some of the blanks that the media leaves out.

Agenda 21 is a plan that calls for international control & regulation of virtually every aspect of human activity that might impact the environment, which is essentially EVERYTHING YOU DO - eat, drink, cook, drive, play, work, and LIVE.

Maurice Strong, UN Secretary General  - 1992  Rio de Janeiro United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) said "...Current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class involving high meat consumption and large amounts of frozen and convenience foods, use of fossil fuels, appliances, home and workplace air-conditioning, and suburban housing are NOT sustainable.  So, what does he mean by NOT Sustainable? http://sovereignty.net/p/sd/strong.html

Translation:  YOU will NO longer be allowed to have them.

J. Gary Lawrence, 1998 UK, UNEP Conference said ..."Participating in a UN advocated planning process would very likely bring out many... who would actively work to defeat any elected official... undertaking Local Agenda 21/Sustainable Development.  So, we call our process something else such as "comprehensive planning," 'growth management' or 'smart growth.'" http://www.unedforum.org/publications/millennium/mill%20paper2.pdf

Translation:  They will lie to you & deceive you so YOU won't know what they are really doing. This meeting is free & open to the public.                                Please come, listen and bring a friend.

Does The New 'White House Rural Council' = UN's Agenda 21?

The Blaze | by Mike Opelka | Posted on June 21, 2011 at 2:34pm

UNOn June 9, 2011, President Obama signed his 86th Executive Order, and almost nobody noticed.

President Obama's E.O. 13575 is designed to begin taking control over almost all aspects of the lives of 16% of the American people. Why didn't we notice it?  Weinergate.  In the middle of the Anthony Weiner scandal, as the press and most of the American people were distracted, President Obama created something called "The White House Rural Council" (WHRC).

Section One of 13575 states the following:

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Illegal immigrants would qualify for the less expensive in-state tuition rates at Pennsylvania universities if they meet residency requirements included in proposed legislation introduced Monday.

The DREAM Act would offer an affordable education to college-bound teens who are here illegally through no fault of their own, its primary sponsor, state Rep. Tony Payton Jr., said at a news conference in Philadelphia.

"They grew up Americans, they show civic pride, they have American values," said Payton, a Democratic lawmaker from the city. "We should not be punishing kids for a choice that their parents made."

About a dozen states already offer tuition benefits to undocumented college students, many of whom were brought to America as children. Supporters say such legislation leads to a more educated work force and costs the states almost nothing.

But state Rep. Daryl Metcalfe, founder of a national group of lawmakers critical of illegal immigration, blasted the proposed Pennsylvania bill and predicted it would fail to pass the Legislature.

"All Pennsylvania parents and college students should be outraged that Rep. Payton has introduced legislation to make it more affordable for illegal aliens to attend college," Metcalfe, R-Butler, said in a statement Monday.

The federal DREAM Act, which contains similar provisions, has repeatedly failed in Congress. Critics say it would encourage foreigners to sneak into the U.S. and amounts to amnesty.

About 850 illegal immigrants graduate from high school in Pennsylvania each year, according to the Pennsylvania Immigration and Citizenship Coalition.

If they are admitted to college and meet certain residency criteria - and if their parents have paid state income taxes for the past three years - the state DREAM Act would allow them to pay resident tuition at 14 state-owned universities, four state-related universities and community colleges.

In-state tuition for the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education is $5,804 annually, compared with $8,706 to $14,510 for out-of-state residents. A system spokeswoman declined comment.

Cesar Marroquin, 20, is among those who would qualify. He has been living in Pennsylvania for a decade and graduated two years ago from Springfield Township High School near Philadelphia.

Now attending Montgomery County Community College, Marroquin pays about $900 a class - the tuition rate for foreign students - instead of the $300 paid by his in-state peers. Because his immigration status makes him ineligible for financial aid, Marroquin can afford only a small courseload.

Marroquin said at the news conference that his parents, who brought him to this country from Peru when he was 9, "work hard and pay taxes every single year." But the high tuition makes him feel like pursuing an education is impossible, he said.

"All I'm asking for is the opportunity to contribute to the country that has given me so much," Marroquin said. "An affordable education is the first step toward fulfilling my dream of giving back to my country, the United States."

DREAM Act supporters say the bill's direct cost is negligible, in part because of the small number of students who would qualify. They also note that many illegal immigrants could not afford college without the benefit, so their in-state tuition payments would represent new revenue.

DREAM stands for Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors.

RedState Morning Briefing

For June 22, 2011

1. Jon Huntsman Admitted He Was Representing Barack Obama

One of the big excuses and counters to my argument that Jon Huntsman was disloyal to the President of the United States was that he wasn't representing the President, but the United States.

And the people who make this argument usually say something like, "Well, he may have been disloyal to Obama, but he wasn't loyal to the country and that's who he represented."

Except Jon Huntsman, in his own words, saw it differently. In a letter to Barack Obama dated August 16, 2009, in additional to calling Obama a "remarkable leader", Huntsman wrote that he appreciated the President's confidence in Huntsman's "ability to represent you in China."

So Jon Huntsman admitted he was representing Barack Obama to the Chinese, not the United States in generally. And he publicly began consideration of a Presidential campaign against the man he admitted he represented before ceasing that representation. The Newsweek article where he admitted he was considering it happened at the beginning of this year. Huntsman didn't leave China until May 1st.

Republicans should not honor disloyalty to the President at this level, regardless of who that President may be.

2. Senate Plans to Abdicate its Confirmation Duties

In recent years, the job of United States Senator has evidently been added to the list of 'jobs that Americans won't do.' Harry Reid's Senate has categorically shirked its core constitutional responsibility by refusing to pass a budget for over two years. Concurrently, the Senate has been preoccupied with feckless, unconstitutional legislation that fails to deal with any of the paramount public policy problems facing the nation.

Today, Chuck Schumer, with the help of Mitch McConnell and Lamar Alexander, plans to vitiate one of the Senate's few remaining constitutional duties; advising and consenting to presidential appointees. The Presidential Appointment Efficiency and Streamlining Act (S.679), which was never reported out of a committee, would eliminate the confirmation requirement for 200 presidential appointees. This bill would completely abrogate the safeguards against tyranny that were established in the "Appointments Clause" of the constitution. [The Heritage Foundation has a useful primer on the bill.]

The bill has seven Republican co-sponsors: Lamar Alexander, Scott Brown, Susan Collins, Mike Johanns, Jon Kyl, Richard Lugar, and Mitch McConnell.

3. Jen Rubin Continues Her Tragic Self-Beclowning

It figures that when the Washington Post hired a token conservative, they apparently hired someone completely ignorant of the conservative blogosphere. Apparently, they also hired someone who is completely ignorant of even recent Republican political history. Behold her latest offering in her quixotic campaign against the SBA List pledge:

4. Labor Refighting the American Civil War

As a boy growing up just outside of Richmond, VA, I used to know a few very sad and sorry human beings. I pity these people, because they lived their lives believing in a myth that had died a well-deserved death over a century before. Yet, in their minds and hearts, these people still kept musing "If only Stonewall Jackson had handled himself better on the first day of Gettysburg."

Today, I still live in the South. In Huntsville, AL, I no longer see people wearing faded-old t-shirts with portraits of Robert E. Lee. However, I picked up the Wall Street Journal and lo and behold, I felt transported back in time to when failed human beings still blamed their circumstances on a war that tore apart America over 100 years ago. Today, I read the words of Chicago Labor Lawyer, Thomas Geoghegan, and imagined him grousing over his bagel. "If only Bobby Lee's courier hadn't dropped that battle plan at Sharpsburg. Then we wouldn't be losing all our high-paying union jobs to that G-D- Johnny Reb!"

A Two State Solution for Turkey?

Posted: 20 Jun 2011 08:02 PM PDT

Imagine a European Union member nation which represses an ethnic minority that makes up a fifth of its population. Now imagine the EU being forced to take sides in a domestic civil war within its own union in which ethnic cleansing is the order of the day. That is the fate awaiting the EU if it admits Turkey as it is.

Turkish intolerance of ethnic minorities resulted in the Armenian genocide. And in the ongoing repression of its Kurdish population. Turkish prisons are full of Kurdish political prisoners, some who have done nothing more than use the Kurdish language in the wrong place or sing a Kurdish song. Kurds have fought back against Turkish state repression with a political and militant struggle. And despite what Turkish authorities are telling their European counterparts, that struggle is not over.

The same elections that gave the Erdogan regime another term, also racked up political victory for Turkey's Kurds. Meanwhile chaos in Iraq and Syria may be setting the stage for Kurdish independence in both those countries. Iraq's Kurds already enjoy partial autonomy. Should Syria's Kurds achieve full or partial autonomy, then Turkey will be left to stand alone in its isolated policy of denying Kurdish rights.

Infiltrating the highest levels of the US government has never been easier. Where is the much maligned Marine Joe McCarthywho, for alleged faults did expose treason when we need him?

There were Soviet Communist agents at the highest levels in the Roosevelt and Truman Administrations - Harry Dexter White- weren't there? Whom should we rely on? The NYTimes which exposed Soviet Famine Genocide against Ukrainians?   Like Edgar Allen Poe's Purloined Letter, the crime is in plain sight.

From American Thinker: The Muslim Brotherhood and Weiner by Eileen F. Toplansky  19 June 2011:

"Couple this with the Clinton family playing a key role in promoting Fethullah Gulen who has worked assiduously to overthrow Turkey's secular government.  Gulen, who currently resides in Pennsylvania, has told his followers that in order for "worldwide Islamic domination to succeed, every method and path is acceptable, including lying to people."

Fethullah Gulen of Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania  Only an Islamaphobic bigot could think this Turkish National  is a threat to the United States.

" In March of this year, the FBI was investigating the more than 120 charter schools in the United States that are linked to Gulen's movement.  These schools, funded with millions of taxpayer dollars, promote Gulen's worldview that is both anti-Israel and anti-America.  In fact, in 2010 it was reported that Bill Gates had given almost 11 million dollars to the Cosmos Foundation, which is a Gulen enterprise.

Moreover, one needs to question why Huma Abedin, a member of a family of devout Muslims, would ever marry a Jewish Congressman -- in a ceremony officiated by Bill Clinton.  Sharia law clearly forbids Muslims from marrying non-believers, so what does this portend?

Furthermore, when Huma Abedin accompanied Hillary Clinton to the Dar El-Hekma women's college in Saudi Arabia, where Huma's mother is co-founder and vice dean, it was reported that "Hillary explained that Huma holds an important and sensitive position in her office."  Where was the scrutiny?

Why are so many at the highest levels of American government ignoring the methodology of Islamists like Gulen, who has declared that the best way to seize power is to lie in wait "with the patience of a spider" in order to "wait for people to get caught in the web"?  Is Clinton so naďve?

Thus, Huma Abedin's position with Clinton in the State Department, as well as her marriage to Representative Weiner, has given her enormous exposure "to state secrets and access to the inner workings of Congress."

This would be unsettling enough if it were not also for Obama's latest appointee.  The 44th president has just appointed Azizah al-Hibri to the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom.  Al-Hibri believes that sharia law is superior to American law.  Yet, al-Hibri is only one of the pro-sharia adherents that Obama has placed in influential positions since he became president.  Dalia Mogahed was one of the earliest appointees and as Nonie Darwish has written, "[t]he empowerment of Radical Islam under the Obama administration" is extremely disturbing.

Last year, Obama appointed two devout Muslims to Homeland Security.  Obama's record concerning Islamic terror was alarming from the beginning of his term and it has only become more entrenched.  Congressman Keith Ellison aka Keith Hakim, who converted to Islam, is already in place in Congress.  His connections to CAIR are troubling.

Is the Weiner scandal really covering up a far more disturbing scenario whereby jihadists continue to infiltrate and influence American universities, military installations, homeland security, even local police forces, all while the press ignores the steady encroachment of these radicals who seek to overturn and destroy America?

The disgraceful indifference by the general press to Weiner's in-laws and their connections to the Muslim Brotherhood keeps eroding America's ability to rout those who wish to see her destroyed.

Fethullah Gulen has exhorted his followers to "move in the arteries of the system without anyone noticing [their] existence until [they] reach all the power centers...until the conditions are ripe..."  Can America continue to close its eyes to this deliberate hibernation strategy of our enemies? "

Obama's Islamization of America

Jun 21, 2011 06:13 am | Coach Collins

By Suzanne Eovaldi, staff writer

From replacing our American flags with mustard yellow drapes of possible Middle Eastern design, Barack Obama literally is using his bully pulpit to foster our country's Islamization.

Emails about the drapes containing possible Islamic symbols began to make the cyber rounds over a year ago, and now a new Email dramatically shows Obama speaking in front of these drapes while our other presidents flank themselves with our beloved flag of the red, white, and blue.  But things are getting worse as we learn he just used his executive privilege to grant 80,000 Muslim refugees entry into the United States in 2011. Using the canard of "humanitarian concerns or national interest"

According to Paul L. Williams Ph.D, Obama is setting the following immigration goals in his drive to open our nation to "his people": Africa 15,000;East Asia 19,000; Europe and Central Asia 2,000; Latin America Caribbean 5,500; Near East, South Asia ... If you haven't yet read the WorldNetDaily story on this, see below (highlights added).

This is the first phase of a broader effort we plan to implement over the next several weeks to put pressure on the appropriate officials in Tulsa.

So what does this have to do with a Minnesota sharia-compliant mortgage program?

View this six minute Dick Morris video to learn the details. (At about 4:20 Morris begins talking about ACT! for America.)

ACT! for America chapters and members in Minnesota, in a determined grassroots campaign, helped shut down this sharia-compliant mortgage program.

This is one more ACT! for America grassroots success we are proud to report! If we can do this in Minnesota, we can make our voice heard in Tulsa!

Golfing While the Constitution Burns
By Ben Johnson, The White House Watch

Text, Text, Text, TextWhen Barack Obama and John Boehner played golf this weekend, they played on the same team. How appropriate.

Barack Obama has violated the Constitution's war-making power - reserved by Article I, Section 8, to Congress - from the moment he sent American troops into harm's way without Congressional approval. He has been violating the War Powers Resolution since at least the 60th day of that campaign. And he has violated the most liberal reading of that act - the one Boehner has adopted as his own - since this weekend. Yet despite the letter Boehner authored last week, which the media presented as an "ultimatum," Obama has neither obtained Congressional authorization nor removed our troops. Boehner's letter weakly supplicated "I sincerely hope the Administration will faithfully comply with the War Powers Resolution," but at least it seemed to set this weekend as a definitive cut-off point.

The "deadline" has come and gone, and Obama has not answered the most burning questions of the mission's legality to anyone's satisfaction. Instead, the president has thumbed his nose at Congress in general, Boehner in particular, and the American people at large, and the Speaker-cum-caddy has made no meaningful response whatsoever....

Is Project Gunrunner Gun Control Chicago-Style?
By Doug Book, FloydReports.com

We owe John Dodson a great deal of gratitude. Here's why.

On March 30th, Barack Obama assured gun confiscation advocate Sarah Brady of his ongoing efforts to undermine the 2nd Amendment rights of the American people.

"I just want you to know that we are working on it," Obama told Brady during her visit at the White House. "We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar."

Of course, the meaning of "under the radar" to a skilled practitioner of "The Chicago Way" will translate into operations which are corrupt, underhanded, bereft of common decency and perhaps regard for human life. Most importantly, there will be an appearance of "noble intent" should the crimes be discovered....

Al-Qaida Becoming More Desperate

Monday, 20 Jun 2011

By Ronald Kessler

Successful strikes against al-Qaida have made the terrorist organization more desperate and more likely to take risks to kill Americans, FBI officials tell Newsmax.

"The decapitation of al-Qaida leadership and the killing of a senior al-Qaida commander in Pakistan earlier this month are making them more desperate," one FBI official says. "When they are desperate, they may be willing to change tactics. They might try something more risky."

As a result, "We believe they are going to start being more active, willing to take more risks with communications or plotting, with shorter timelines on their actions, as opposed to long extended conspiracies," the official adds.

House to vote on President Obama's war powers

Congress will vote on engagement in Libya, where U.S. forces have been assisting rebels (pictured).

House Republican leaders have drafted a pair of Libya resolutions - one of which is designed to end U.S. hostilities - that may be voted on this week.

These War Powers Act resolutions are a response to President Obama's determination that he need not seek congressional consent for a Libya mission that is more than three months old.

One resolution would affirmatively authorize the use of force while the other would demand an end to U.S. engagement in Libya, with exceptions for non-combat activities.

Increasingly, rank and file Republicans and Democrats are voicing opposition not just to the mission itself but also Obama's insistence that U.S. activities - including strikes inside Libya - do not require congressional consent.

 Pajamas Media

By Barry Rubin

[Name withheld] is one of the kindest and most generous people I've ever known. [Name withheld] is well-educated and is an open-minded liberal. [Name withheld] is not Jewish but is friendly to Israel. Yesterday there was a column in the Washington Post claiming-on ridiculously distorted arguments-that Glenn Beck is an antisemite. For two years I've been listening to Beck on television and radio as part of a research project on understanding the new conservative debate (with special reference to the Middle East and Israel) and explaining it to Israelis. I know, then, that while Glenn Beck sometimes makes silly mistakes on details he often has a better grasp of Middle East issues than the mainstream media. The charge against him is not only profoundly false but based on such a distortion of everything he has said and done for many years that one can only assume that the Washington Post author was consciously lying.

Israeli officials were up in arms Tuesday after Apple cleared for release into the iPhone App Store an application that encourages violent uprising against Israel, and advocates violence against "settlers," generally defined by Arab anti-Israel groups as all residents of Israel.

Called "The Third Intifada," the Arabic-language app features articles and stories by radical Arab members of Fatah and Hamas, as well as members of the Palestinian Authority. They discuss strategies to use in fighting IDF soldiers, and glorify acts of violence that have already taken place.

The app also features photos and images of Arab youths throwing stones and bombs at Israelis, and a collection of "intifada music" popular in the PA. In addition, it has a social media component, designed to allow activists to organize "flash mobs" on the go, gathering quickly at specific times and places to attack Israelis.

Senate unanimously approves Panetta as new Defense chief

By John T. Bennett - 06/21/11
The Senate on Tuesday unanimously approved Leon Panetta's nomination to become the next defense secretary.

Panetta, the current CIA chief, is expected to be sworn in by July 1. He immediately will inherit a military fighting two wars and readying for a round of White House-ordered budget cuts.

Panetta will replace outgoing Defense Secretary Robert Gates, who has had what President Obama, lawmakers, and defense experts agree has been one of the most impressive tenures in history at the Pentagon.

Stop the Fraud - No More Voting Without ID by Chris Freind

Bill would end Pennsylvania's Banana Republic election system

6/21/2011
Text Size: A | A | A
I am not wealthy, but have recently acquired 22 domiciles throughout Philadelphia. My real estate prowess has afforded me a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our citizens.

I can vote 22 times.

You see, I have staked out prime locations, from a cardboard box under the Walt Whitman Bridge to a culvert on Cobbs Creek Parkway to a burnt-out shell at 7th and Diamond. Yes, technically, habitating at these locations makes me "homeless," but I much prefer the term "voter-enfranchised." When you have such a love of democracy, how can anyone have a problem with people who want to vote multiple times, especially the homeless? (Although, in fairness, dead people should only be able to vote once).

Incredible as it seems, folks in Pennsylvania don't have to show any voter identification whatsoever at the polls, with the exception of the first time, in which a non-photo ID, such as a utility bill, is all that is needed. And even that's a stretch since some politicians ignore the law and permit people, who have never produced identification to vote. So in Philadelphia, among other places, voters whose "address" is a park bench or condemned house are regularly pulling the lever.

Pictures of America's Fiscal Nightmare

There's urgency in Washington to fix a problem that's been a long time coming: America's fast track to fiscal implosion. In The Heritage Foundation's just-released, expanded 2011 Budget Chart Book, you can see just how bad the country's spending problem is and how America racked up so much debt.

The New York Times's Jonathan Mahler On Arizona: Immigration Policy As Fantasy Baseball For Liberals

By Steve Sailer

The New York Times' long-running campaign of hate directed at the voters of Arizona continued Friday with From Jackie Robinson to Dead Silence [June 17, 2011]. The Times' new sports columnist Jonathan Mahler demands that Major League Baseball yank its July 12th All-Star Game out of Phoenix in order to demonize Arizonans for daring to pass SB 1070.

When read carefully, Mahler's essay offer amusing insights into the role Hispanics are being drafted to play in the ethnic obsessions of America's media elites. You could call it: Fantasy Baseball for Liberals.

The photo illustrating this NYT article is wonderfully pathetic:

"Enrique Morones, the former director of Hispanic marketing for the San Diego Padres, has threatened to protest at the All-Star Game on July 12 in Phoenix."

Stop the presses! An ethnoactivist, who makes his living Being Hispanic, has threatened to travel from San Diego to Phoenix to pose in front of TV cameras!

CONTRACT FROM PENNSYLVANIA SURVEY

Dear Pennsylvanians,

It is time for Pennsylvania Patriots to let their wishes be known regarding the type of state legislative laws that are important to them.  To that end, we have developed a Contract From Pennsylvania Survey that we plan to consolidate into a Contract From Pennsylvania.  When finalized, we will present the Contract From Pennsylvania to legislators and ask them to devote their time to those initiatives.  In order to develop the Contract, we need as many Pennsylvanians as possible to take the survey.

We need your help in two ways:

1.   PLEASE TAKE THIS SURVEY BY INDEPENDENCE DAY, JULY 4, 2011.   The top ten issues selected will be included in the Contract.  Click here to take the survey or use the following link:   http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/WEB22CHZ2NV33N/

2.   Please send this note and/or link to every Pennsylvanian in your address book.

From the 25 issues on the survey,  choose the top five issues you would like to see become law.  Some of the issues may be underway in the legislature and others may already have failed.  Regardless, if you believe they are top priorities, vote for them.    (Note that you may only submit one completed survey from each computer.)

Our purpose is to find out what is most important to "We The People" and let our legislators know what those issues are and how we want them to spend their time in office. Once the Contract is completed, we will send a copy to all who took the survey, which you can print and take to your own legislators.

Thank you for participating in this patriotic endeavor!

Like a Vampire, Obama and Socialists Suck the Blood Out of American Capitalism
It's not an accident or cyclical. It's done by design.

Same Old, Same Old...
Last week was another somewhat depressing chapter in a now long saga of living where I was born. I returned to the farm from leading a European military history tour, and experienced the following - mind you, after a number of thefts the month prior (barn, shop, etc.):

1) I left my chainsaw in the driveway to use the restroom inside the house. Someone driving buy saw it. He slammed on the brakes, stole it, and drove off. Neat, quick, easy. Mind you there was only a 5-minute hiatus in between my cutting. And the driver was a random passer-by. That suggests to me that a high number of rural Fresno County motorists can prove to be opportunistic thieves at any given moment. The saw was new; I liked it - an off-the-shelf $400 Echo that ran well. I assume it will be sold off at a rural intersection in these parts, or the nearby swap meet for about $60. I doubt the thief was a professional woodsman who needed a tool of the trade to survive.

Huntsman Joins The Hunt

Former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman officially kicked off his presidential campaign this morning at Liberty State Park in New Jersey, where Ronald Reagan launched his campaign in 1980. In his announcement speech, Huntsman warned that America in 2011 is facing decline, just like it was in 1980. With the Statue of Liberty in the background, Huntsman said:

"President Reagan launched the 1980 general election here in an earlier time of trouble and worry. He assured us we could 'make America great again,' and under his leadership we did. I stand in his shadow as well as the shadow of this magnificent monument to our liberty."

Huntsman pledged to run a civil campaign that would boil down to competence on the economy. In a shot at Obama, he said, "We need more than hope. We need answers." Huntsman pledged to make the "hard choices" necessary to prevent further decline.

While most candidates are devoting a lot of time and energy to Iowa, Huntsman is running a different campaign. He's largely ignoring the Hawkeye State, counting on strong performances in New Hampshire and Florida. In fact, the former Utah governor raised eyebrows when he located his national headquarters in Orlando, Florida. This strategy did not work particularly well for Rudy Giuliani.

Huntsman's campaign is already on shaky ground with some conservative activists. Huntsman made headlines for finishing second at the Republican Leadership Council's big straw poll last weekend. But it has since been reported that his supporters bussed in voters and stressed that they didn't even have to be Republicans. Most conservatives don't want Democrats picking their nominee, and they won't be happy with campaigns that rely on liberals to manipulate votes.

In addition, Politico reports that the Huntsman campaign is attempting to raise money from the homosexual community due to his support for so-called civil unions, a red flag for me. I can't find much evidence that social issues matter to him. For another perspective on Huntsman's background and record, click here.

So far, Huntsman has barely registered in the polls. At this point it is difficult to see how he becomes the GOP nominee. But some pundits speculate that he could play the role of spoiler. If Huntsman gains traction, it is expected that his support would likely come from Mitt Romney. By taking votes away from Romney, a more conservative candidate could possibly squeak past him in the early voting states.

With the official start of summer, the GOP race is just heating up. Stay tuned!

Another Union Bailout

The Associated Press reports that the National Labor Relations Board is likely to issue a new ruling that dramatically strengthens the hand of labor bosses seeking to unionize companies.

Under existing law, once a union gathers enough signatures to force a vote on unionization, an election must take place within 45 to 60 days. The new rule would reportedly speed up the election to just 10 or 20 days.

The reason for rushing the vote is obvious - Big Labor is hoping to catch businesses off-guard, leaving them with little or no time to educate employees about the downsides of unionization. This is just one more example of how the Obama Administration is using the power of big government to reward its political supporters, while creating more obstacles for businesses in an already uncertain economic environment.

No More Waivers

The Obama Administration is no longer issuing waivers for ObamaCare. But don't be quick to celebrate. I don't think it is a coincidence that the waiver program is being terminated now.

As we have reported, the administration has granted nearly 1,400 waivers, with many going to labor unions and other left-wing groups. Chic businesses in Nancy Pelosi's San Francisco-based congressional district got their share of special favors - I mean waivers - too.

Members of Congress and outside groups have been demanding to know on what basis these waivers were granted. Despite assurances that the process is completely transparent, the administration has yet to produce a set of objective standards or even basic information such as how many waivers were requested and how many were denied.

It was recently reported that the healthcare "reform" law contained no language whatsoever authorizing the administration to issue waivers. Moreover, conservative groups were starting to request waivers, and there was growing grassroots pressure to have governors request waivers for entire states.

But seeing as how the left got the bulk of the waivers, and given all the negative attention the program was creating, it seems someone in the Obama Administration decided that it was best to stop issuing the waivers now rather than defend the indefensible and unpopular waivers next year.

More Problems With ObamaCare

If the waivers weren't enough evidence of just how poorly written the mammoth law is, there is news today that a "glitch" may allow millions of people, including some with incomes up to $64,000, to qualify for Medicaid! That's right - $64,000 may make you eligible for a government program to help the poor.

Medicare's chief actuary, Richard Foster, said, "I don't generally comment on the pros or cons of policy, but that just doesn't make sense." Believe it or not, the Associated Press reports that "administration officials and senior Democratic lawmakers say it's not a loophole but the result of a well-meaning effort..." A well-meaning effort to socialize America and bankruptcy us even faster, perhaps!

The Solution For Judicial Activism

Do you remember the outrageous decision by Judge Fred Biery? He's the extremist who earlier this month threatened to send high school graduates to jail if they prayed or merely uttered the words "prayer" or "amen" during their graduation ceremony. Thankfully, his decision was overturned on appeal.

On the "Bauer & Rose Show" this weekend on Sirius/XM Radio, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich reminded the audience that there is a solution to judicial activists like Biery. Congress has the power to regulate the jurisdiction of the courts and it can even abolish them! That may sound radical, but, according to Gingrich, President Thomas Jefferson signed legislation eliminating half of the federal courts.

The point is simply this: Congress is not powerless to defend our cherished values. It requires only the courage to act.

Castle Doctrine Bill Passes Pennsylvania Senate

Today, House Bill 40, NRA-backed castle doctrine legislation, passed in the state Senate by a 45 to 5 vote.  This bill will now go to Governor Tom Corbett for his consideration.

Introduced by state Representative Scott Perry (R-92), HB 40 would permit law-abiding citizens to use force, including deadly force, against an attacker in their home and any place outside of their home where they have a legal right to be.  If enacted into law, it would also protect individuals from civil lawsuits by the attacker or the attacker's family when force is used.

The companion bill to HB 40, Senate Bill 273, was sponsored by Richard Alloway, II (R-33). Please thank both Representative Perry and Senator Alloway for sponsoring this important self-defense legislation. Contact information is listed below.

ObamaCare Update

6/21/2011

Dear Patriot,

Three new reports are predicting that tens of millions of
Americans will lose their employer-sponsored health insurance
(ESI) due to ObamaCare -- adding hundreds of billions and
perhaps trillions of dollars to ObamaCare's price tag
over the next ten years. The scenario goes like this:

Employers will abandon employer-based health insurance in
favor of paying the $2,000 ObamaCare penalty -- and save
thousands of dollars per employee in the process.

Meanwhile, employees get forced into the government's health
insurance welfare system that pays them thousands of
dollars in ObamaCare welfare dollars!

A report issued in May -- entitled "Labor Markets and Health
care Reform: New Results" -- paints a shocking picture of
the real impact of ObamaCare with an estimated 35 million
employees losing their ESI. The report shows clear economic
incentives for employers to drop healthcare coverage for
employees making up to $59,200.

Two additional studies -- by the National Center for Policy
Analysis and McKinsey -- project from 80 million to 117
million people will lose their ESI. The McKinsey study
surveyed over 1,300 employers and found that "30 percent
of employers will definitely or probably stop offering ESI
in the years after 2014." For those employers that had a
"high awareness" of the rules of ObamaCare, "this proportion
increases to more than 50 percent, and upward of 60 percent
will pursue some alternative to traditional ESI."

Responding to these studies, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI)
recently warned in a Washington Post op-ed that:

"ObamaCare poses two great dangers to our nation: lower
quality of care and runaway costs. It will stifle
innovation and lead to rationing. But the overwhelming
cost and the damage it will do to our nation's finances
at a pivotal moment in our history deserve greater scrutiny."

Johnson says that if tens of millions of workers lose their
ESI and are forced into the government system, the cost of
ObamaCare "would be more than nine times the original cost
estimate of $93 billion each year ($893 billion vs. $93
billion)."

This is the shocking truth of ObamaCare!

Tens of millions of Americans will lose their employer-based
insurance and be forced into a massive new government
welfare program that will bankrupt our nation!

Obamacare Glitch Gives Millions More Health Insurance

Tuesday, 21 Jun 2011

WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama's healthcare law would let several million middle-class people get nearly free insurance meant for the poor, a twist government number crunchers say they discovered only after the complex bill was signed.

The change would affect early retirees: A married couple could have an annual income of about $64,000 and still get Medicaid, said officials who make long-range cost estimates for the Health and Human Services department.

Up to 3 million people could qualify for Medicaid in 2014 as a result of the anomaly. That's because, in a major change from today, most of their Social Security benefits would no longer be counted as income for determining eligibility.

Why did Michele Bachmann Hire Pan-Arabist Ed Rollins to Run Campaign?

By Debbie Schlussel

Yesterday, I posted Michele Bachmann's solid, pro-Israel videos, but something was bothering me about her campaign, and I couldn't remember what it was.  Now, I do.  It's not something.  It's someone:  Ed Rollins, who has made a practice of traveling to Muslim-dominated Dearbornistan, Michigan to give Muslims advice on how to gain political power.

While I'm sure Bachmann's well-informed views on Israel are sincere and heartfelt, she cannot expect supporters and would-be supporters to ignore the inconsistency between those views and paying Ed Rollins on as her chief campaign strategist.  Not unless she wants to appear like a phony. I still like her, but she's gotta get rid of this guy.

Is it time to update the US constitution?

Fareed Zakaria really doesn't get the constitution

We all know how Americans revere the Constitution, so I was struck by the news that tiny, little Iceland is actually junking its own Constitution and starting anew using an unusual - some would say innovative - mechanism.

The nation decided it needed a new Constitution and it's soliciting ideas from all of Iceland's 320,000 citizens with the help of Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. This social media method has worked. Ideas have been flowing in. Many have asked for guaranteed, good health care. Others want campaign finance systems that make corporate donations illegal. And some just want the country to make shark finning illegal.

But Brent [LCOCV1  112.40    0.71  (+0.64%)   ], which is a better reflection of global oil prices, at about $111, is down just $15 from its high.

Four-dollar-per-gallon gas is cheap

Article from 2008: Libs love high gas prices!

The next time you have to take out a loan just to fill up your tank, remember this: Four-dollar-per-gallon gasoline is cheap.

There's no doubt that high fuel prices are hurting low-income consumers, and high energy costs are placing a tax on the economy that is slowing investment while sending billions of dollars overseas. It's unsurprising that presidential candidates and members of Congress issue new proposals practically every day to lower gas prices: Stop filling the Strategic Petroleum Reserve! Suspend the federal gas tax! Open ANWR to oil drilling!

The gas tax

Article from 2008

President-elect Barack Obama and the Democrats in Congress seem to have a clear vision of the auto industry they think the country needs. It must be financially self-sufficient. It also must be capable of producing highly fuel-efficient, next-generation vehicles that can help the nation cope with climate change and finite supplies of oil.

Yet for all the conditions attached to it, the multibillion-dollar aid package for Detroit's carmakers approved by the White House (with Mr. Obama's support) fails to address one crucial question: Who will buy all the fuel-efficient cars that Detroit carmakers are supposed to make?

Boeing's threat to American enterprise

Labor movement lawyer wants to protect you from southerners

Conservatives are in an uproar that the general counsel of the National Labor Relations Board has filed an unfair labor charge against Boeing. It seems the president of Boeing was unwise enough to blurt out that his company would move a production line to South Carolina as payback for past strikes by machinists in Seattle. It's a dead bang violation of the National Labor Relations Act, even if it comes as a surprise to Republicans and many other Americans.

Section 7 of the Wagner Act, passed in 1935, states that all workers can engage in concerted activities without reprisal. The president of Boeing said, in effect: You exercise those rights and we're moving. Companies have long done such things, of course, but CEOs aren't usually so gaffe-prone as to say so.

ICE halfway solution not the answer to secure communities problem

Let's see how illegals can stay... illegally

On June 17th, John Morton, the Director of U.S.I.C.E. (ICE), in response to the ongoing withering criticism of the Secure Communities program and its seemingly indiscriminate targeting of all undocumented immigrants and not just the criminal element, put forth two memoranda on prosecutorial discretion to dampen the rising anger of the immigrant communities. Although the expansion and clarification of prosecutorial discretion grounds are welcome, they will not erase the fear and anger that this wrongheaded program has created.

The memoranda list grounds for which prosecutorial discretion can be exercised, but the problem is that it does not have to be, because discretion is discretion and up to the individual ICE officer, agent, or attorney. Also many of the grounds for prosecutorial discretion can only be fully documented after a period of time. Where is the undocumented immigrant during this period? Probably in an ICE facility since the agency has now acknowledged that local law-enforcement only has the authority to hold aliens for 48 hours after arrest.

White House loosens border rules for 2012

2012 tactic, open up the border

President Barack Obama's administration is quietly offering a quasi-amnesty for hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants aiming to win reelection by mobilizing a wave of new Hispanic voters without alienating the populous at large, say supporters of stronger immigration law enforcement.

The new rules were quietly announced Friday with a new memo from top officials at the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency. The "prosecutorial discretion" memo says officials need not enforce immigration laws if illegal immigrants are enrolled in an education center or if their relatives have volunteered for the US military.

Huntsman
launches
campaign

Photograph of Jon Huntsman
Speaking against a backdrop that included the Statue of Liberty and part of the Manhattan skyline, Huntsman said he would bring to the presidency a focus on substance, and not on politics.
"We will conduct this campaign on the high road," Huntsman said during his speech, calling modern political debate mostly "corrosive."
The mounting debt and other problems facing the United States are "un-American," he said. But he wouldn't extend that line of attack against his former boss, President Obama. Huntsman said his campaign against the president he'd served as ambassador would boil down to policy, and not attacks on patriotism.
"He and I have a difference of opinion on how to help the country we both love," Huntsman said. "But the question each of us wants the voters to answer is who will be the better president; not who's the better American."
His speech, delivered shortly after 10 a.m. in northern New Jersey, was meant to evoke President Reagan, the conservative icon to whom latter-day Republican candidates often praise themselves. Reagan delivered a speech here in the fall of 1980, just as he was preparing to launch into the height of his campaign. [The Hill, June 21]      Click here for the source story

Perry
has a
good
chance
in 2012 Photograph of Gov. Rick Perry

Mike Huckabee, Donald Trump, Haley Barbour, Mitch Daniels, etc. withdrawals have thinned the Republicans' 2012 field. Mitt Romney is all alone at the top.
A poll of GOP primary voters, taken after the June 13 New Hampshire debate, shows the former Massachusetts governor with 42 percent of the vote, 32 points ahead of his nearest competitors, Reps. Michele Bachmann and Ron Paul.
Mitt has luck on his side. His remaining establishment rivals - Tim Pawlenty and Jon Huntsman - are self-destructing. Pawlenty looked bad in the debate; Huntsman, says he won't compete in the Iowa caucuses, a sure path to oblivion. Newt Gingrich, the former second-place challenger, has shot himself in the foot, falling to 3 percent in the post-New Hampshire poll.
Lured by this vacuum, Perry may give Romney a run for his money.
If he runs, Perry can lay claim to Romney's signature issue: the economy. More than 40 percent of US jobs created since 2009 have been in Texas, so Perry can run as Mr. Fix-it for the protracted recession.
Texas politics, while fierce, is not really about vetting -- the news media isn't good enough. We will learn about Rick Perry, and much of what we learn may or may not be good. With Romney, we know the good and the bad -- and that's a big edge. [NYPost, June 21]      Click here for the source story

Gingrich
campaign
finance

quits

The top fundraisers for Newt Gingrich's presidential campaign have abandoned his struggling bid amid anemic fundraising and heavy spending.
Campaign spokesman R.C. Hammond is confirming to The Associated Press that fundraising director Jody Thomas and fundraising consultant Mary Heitman have left the team.
The former House speaker's campaign has been on life support since earlier this month when 16 top aides and advisers resigned en masse over disagreements with the Republican candidate.
People familiar with Gingrich's campaign spending say his fundraising has been weak since he launched his bid and that he has racked up large travel bills. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk openly about campaign inner workings.
Gingrich has insisted that he will stay in the race. [Chron.com, June 21]      Click here for the source story

Louis Farrakhan: Obama is a murderer, assassin

It wasn't all that long ago Farrakhan was anointing Barack Obama as the chosen one, literally referring to him as the Messiah. But how quickly the bloom has fallen off the rose.  Farrakhan is apparently good friends with Gaddafi and says that Obama has been corrupted and went on to say Obama is an assassin and a murderer for what is going on with Libya right now. Audio & reaction HERE.

How can you win the argument? The Original Argument is the founding argument, The Federalist Papers rewritten in modern language so everybody can understand it. If we want to repair this country we need to know what the principles were in the first place. What's the right argument to make when your liberal friend argues that the federal government gets to make all the rules and the state has to listen to them and follow? Treason? Cynthia McKinney is testing the limits

The former Congresswoman went on Libyan TV recently and glowingly talked about how wonderful Libya is - so much so that it's even better than America. She says people in the United States are losing their homes, but in the wonderful utopia of Libya, the government is building homes! They are a country 'on the rise' according to McKinney. It only gets worse from there - Glenn has the audio and reaction on radio today. Is it treason? WATCH.

CNN's Fareed Zakaria bashes the Constitution again

The President's pal/advisor and friend of George Soros unleashed an unbelievable rant in which he argues that the Constitution needs to be tossed out in order to start over, and we should emulate what they are doing in Iceland. They are rewriting their new one with the help of people on Twitter and Facebook. Doesn't exactly sound like a solid way to build the foundation of a country. Is this what was meant with 'change'? Glenn's answer HERE.

    Conservative porn: Chris Christie edition

There's nothing better than hearing Chris Christie engaging in townhalls and other interactions with the public and public officials. Christie is able to articulate his view in a quick, strong, articulate and meaningful way that it amounts to what Glenn refers to as conservative porn. The latest classic comes from an interview when they played a recorded question - Christie passes with flying colors. WATCH
