Are They Serious? 'Shariah 4 America' Group Calls for 'Burkha' on Statue of Liberty

The Blaze | Posted on March 2, 2011 | by Meredith Jessup

As we've reported, controversial UK Muslim cleric Anjem Choudary has called on Muslims to "rise to implement the Shari'ah in America," starting with a planned demonstration in front of the White House on Thursday.

Choudary's "call for revolution" is being organized and advertised by Shariah4America, a group calling for the "Islamic demolition of the Statue of Liberty" and a remodeling of the White House into a "White Masjid."

Obama Says Race Is Key Component in Tea Party Movement

The Blaze | Posted on March 3, 2011 | by Meredith Jessup

On March 12, 2010, President Barack Obama welcomed to the White House Kenneth T. Walsh, a former White House reporter and author of "Family of Freedom: Presidents and African Americans in the White House."  As the first African American to win the White House, Walsh says a "serene and confident" Obama had agreed to sit down for a candid interview for the book.

According to Walsh, Obama didn't hesitate to "dive in" to the subject of race, and stressed how his administration was working to build a race-neutral administration.
. . . .

In a more candid moment, Walsh notes, Obama admitted that race is still an issue for him in many ways, suggesting it was a "key component" to the growing tea party movement:  Read More . . .

Is Democracy Viable?

http://www.JewishWorldReview.com |

Those who see hope in the Middle East uprisings seem to assume that they will lead in the direction of freedom or democracy. There is already talk about the "liberation" of Egypt, even though the biggest change there has been that a one-man dictatorship has been replaced by a military dictatorship that has suspended the constitution.

Perhaps the military dictatorship will be temporary, as its leaders say, but we have heard that song before. What we have also heard, too many times before, is the assumption that getting rid of an undemocratic government means that it will be replaced by a freer and better government.

History says otherwise.

Terror group features Phila. airport search as cheap way to cripple U.S.

A recent issue of Inspire, the official English-language magazine of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, includes a picture of a UPS cargo plane being searched at Philadelphia International Airport.

Inspire carries a mysterious headline on the cover - "$4,200" - but inside, the meaning soon becomes clear: Although the bombs were discovered before they exploded, the terror try made America flinch. And it only cost $4,200 to pull it off.

"To bring down America, we do not need to strike big," the story inside says. "The strategy [is] a thousand cuts. The aim is to bleed the enemy to death."

1. The Passion Deficit

Now comes news that House Republican Leader Eric Cantor (R.-Va.) is refusing to commit that the Pence amendment to defund Planned Parenthood will be in the final version of the bill which will fund the government for the rest of the year -- the "long-term continuing resolution."

This, despite the fact that Planned Parenthood, which performs 324,000 abortions a year, could, according to some insiders, collapse if denied the $350 million it annually receives in taxpayer dollars.

So, given a Schindler's list with 324,000 names, why would anyone who believes the unborn are human beings not move heaven and earth to protect them?

Said Cantor: "...we're trying to demonstrate right now that we don't want to see a [government] shutdown..."

Really!

In fact, the House had, weeks earlier, passed its version of a resolution to fund the government through the remainder of the fiscal year -- until September 30, 2011. If government funding is not yet guaranteed -- if a shutdown has not been rendered impossible - it is because Harry Reid and Barack Obama refuse to consider the House's resolution because it contains provisions unacceptable to them, such as defunding ObamaCare.

But hold on a minute: Cantor and his colleagues campaigned on the promise that they would repeal ObamaCare -- or at least defund it.

And, if the criterion of Cantor, House Speaker John Boehner, and Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell is the avoidance of any issue that will trigger an Obama veto, then they have raised the white flag before the battle has even begun.

2. A Note to Labor Secretary Solis: Collective Bargaining Has No Place in Government

This past weekend, when ethically-challenged U.S. Secretary Hilda Solis told a cheering DNC crowd that "the fight is on" (referring to the Battle of Wisconsin) she openly declared her devotion to union bosses, as well as her disdain for the 88% of Americans who are union-free and stuck with the tab. Though it shouldn't be a surprise as Solis was a board member of the American Rights at Work-the union "shadow group" mouthpiece pushing the hallucinogenically-named Employee Free Choice Act-while she served in Congress, such a blatant provocation on behalf of a particular constituency from an official in a cabinet-level position is a good reminder of just how far America has fallen.

3. Secretary Chu's Insidious Economics of Energy

Yesterday, Energy Secretary Steven Chu reiterated his insouciance to the plight of the American consumer of oil and gas. Chu told members of the Senate Budget Committee that there is no need to tap into the Strategic Petroleum Reserves because it will be corrected by spare world oil capacity:

"we have spare capacity, we expect naturally that the market forces will take care of this." "But we are concerned and we will watch it very carefully."

Well, it is nice to know that Chu actually has faith in the free market. It is just a shame that the market of "spare capacity" is controlled by Saudi Arabia and not our own energy production- thanks to Chu and his boss. Imagine if George Bush had refused to release the Strategic Petroleum Reserves in 2006 out of deference to the market forces.

4. Collective bargaining reform passes Ohio Senate.

The bill is SB5, and it will limit future collective bargaining for Ohio state employees to base salary: it passed the Ohio Senate with a one-vote margin (all hail the power of having a strong enough majority to allow you breathing room: elections matter, folks*). The bill now goes to the House, where the GOP has a 59-40 advantage: and a simple majority constitutes a quorum in the Ohio legislature, which means that the bill will likewise almost certainly pass there with sufficient margin to permit a defection or two. Governor Kasich will of course sign the bill once it is law.

5. Eminent domain in Texas: still work to be done.

Texas seems to be at or near the top of about every major ranking of the states one can find: jobs created, Fortune 500 companies, attracting new business, and overall economic performance. We may even be the national leader in lawsuits against the federal government.

However, one area where Texas notoriously lags behind: the protection of private property rights.

Why Liberals Love Government Waste

Posted March 2nd, 2011

Yesterday, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) released a 345-page report detailing 34 major areas of wasteful government spending that Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) says could save the federal government $100 billion or more every year. Conservatives jumped on the news, with House Majority Leader Eric Cantor's (R-VA) office releasing a statement:"That is why House Republicans are hard at work cutting spending and getting our fiscal house in order - we need to prevent taxpayer dollars from being wasted and put Washington on a budget so we begin to live within our means and get people back to work"

Treatment of Libya Illustrates the Fatuousness of the Human Rights Council

Posted March 1st, 2011

On March 18, the United Nations Human Rights Council is scheduled to consider its final report of Libya's human rights record that was conducted under the body's Universal Periodic Review. The first part of the human rights review of the "Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya", conducted on November 9, 2010, was an all too typical dog and pony show. Libya's submission to the Council asserted that the regime observed and protected a host of basic human rights including freedoms of expression, religion, and association. During the review, governments lined up to commend Libya on its observance of human rights. The UPR report for Libya scheduled for adoption by the Council duly notes the praise heaped upon Libya during the review by the members of the Council and made 66 recommendations for Libya to adopt to improve its human rights practices.

Collective Bargaining Is Not A Right

Collective BargainingPosted March 1st, 2011

The New York Times has a story out today purporting to show that "Majority in Poll Back Employees in Public Sector Unions." But this poll is completely worthless. To understand why just look at the question they used to justify their headline:

Collective bargaining refers to negotiations between an employer and a labor union's members to determine the conditions of employment. Some states are trying to take away some collective bargaining rights of public employee unions. Do you favor or oppose taking away some collective bargaining rights of the unions?

Uncivil Unions

As Obama rakes in historic campaign contributions from Wall Street money, liberals claim Republicans are beholden to "the rich." However that may be, it is far more true, and far less remarked upon, that the Democratic Party is the party of public sector unions.

And now, the nation watches helplessly as public sector unions and their Democratic allies say to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker: Nice state you got there, governor. Be a shame if something bad happened to it.

For Democrats, the purpose of government is to generously provide jobs for people who otherwise couldn't be hired -- because their skills, attitude or sense of entitlement are considered undesirable in the private sector. And no, I'm not just talking about Barack Obama.

How George Soros Handicaps American Energy
By Ed Lasky, The American Thinker

George Soros has been a brilliant investor over the years. As befits many hedge fund operators, he uses leverage to magnify his returns. But in his case, leverage has a double meaning.

Leverage can refer to the debt Soros assumes when he makes his investments. But it can also refer to the practice Soros has engaged in, both overseas and in America, to use his money and influence to bolster his political power - power that he then uses to boost returns on his investments. He is not just a hedge fund billionaire but a crony capitalist kingpin who puts GE to shame.

His latest efforts to try to weaken American energy companies and empower their overseas rivals is by advocating the Securities and Exchange Commission draft laws that burden our companies-and leave foreign ones alone and untouched....

Obama Declares War on Christians, Strips Conscience Clause from Pro-Life Doctors
By Kevin "Coach" Collins, CoachIsRight.com

In January 2009 Barack Obama and his Marxist Congress had a choice. They could ram through the Freedom Of Choice Act (FOCA) appeasing the pro-abortion Left or let it sit while they rammed through "more important items" like ObamaCare and Card Check to appease their union masters. Their sense of the situation told them they probably couldn't do both.

Now after a series of stinging defeats on Card Check and the ever dimming chances of ObamaCare actually happening, Obama has run back to safe territory. He has decided to kill off FOCA's Conscious Clause. Obviously, Obama's political handlers have concluded there are votes to be had in a fight with Christians in general and the Roman Catholic Church in particular over abortion.

No Conscious Clause

Obama has ordered Kathleen Sebelius the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to start threatening medical professionals who, for reasons of personal conviction, will not dispense drugs that cause miscarriages - in effect aborting fetuses....

Why Did TSA Pat Down Kids, Adults Getting Off Train?

TSA Pat Down Kids Getting OFF Train?

A Florida firefighter says he couldn't believe it when Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents gave "intrusive" pat-downs to passengers including kids getting off an Amtrak train in Savannah, Georgia earlier this month.

Lt. Brian Gamble, 38, of Leesburg, Florida, posted video of the incident on YouTube. And the TSA is now apologizing.

Gamble, who also works part-time as a travel agent, tells AOL Travel News he was bringing a small group that included other firefighters and policemen to Savannah for a Valentine's Day getaway. They were among 30 or 40 people getting off the train when he says TSA officers ordered everyone into the terminal.

"They sent us all into a roped-off holding area and said 'Y'all are going to be searched,'" Gamble says. "We were getting off the train. This didn't make sense."

Low-flow toilets cause a stink in SF

This will cost the city a lot of money

San Francisco's big push for low-flow toilets has turned into a multimillion-dollar plumbing stink.

Skimping on toilet water has resulted in more sludge backing up inside the sewer pipes, said Tyrone Jue, spokesman for the city Public Utilities Commission. That has created a rotten-egg stench near AT&T Park and elsewhere, especially during the dry summer months.

Holder In the Hot Seat

Obama Attorney General Eric Holder was in the hot seat yesterday, testifying before a House committee on a host of issues that have drawn national attention.  Rep. Frank Wolf (R-VA), who chairs the committee with jurisdiction over the Justice Department's budget, convened the hearing to force the Obama Administration to answer for its handling of the New Black Panther case, for dropping its defense of the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act and for its plans to try foreign enemy combatants in civil courts.

On the New Black Panther case, Rep. John Culberson (R-TX) challenged Holder to respond to the findings of an investigation by the U.S. Civil Rights Commission, which determined that Justice Department lawyers "were encouraged to be aggressive in defending blacks from voter intimidation and other forms of harassment but were discouraged from being as active fighting discrimination against whites." Holder was defiant, and caused further controversy when he referred to "my people" meaning African Americans.  The Attorney General should be looking out for all the American people!

On GITMO, Holder reiterated the Obama Administration's intention to close the terrorist detention facility, but had no explanation for how it would accomplish that goal.  When asked whether the administration would shut down GITMO before the end 2012, the best Holder could say was "I don't know." The public remains overwhelmingly opposed to having these jihadists brought to America and tried in civilian courts.

When the Defense of Marriage Act came up, Rep. Wolf accused Holder of "abandon[ing] your duty to defend this law." Rep. Steve Austria (R-OH) warned Holder, "If this practice continues, the Legislative Branch will have no choice but to start defending the federal statute itself.  ... I know that there are suggestions that whatever dollars are being used right now by the Department of Justice be moved to whatever area whether it be the Legislative Branch attorneys to defend Congress' statute."

Rep. Wolf and Austria are right.  If the Justice Department won't do its job, then its budget should be cut.

Religious Cleansing

As you know, we've been warning that the revolutions sweeping the Middle East won't necessarily bring more freedom. That's because while few people in Muslim countries sit around reading Locke and Tocqueville, many are educated in the principles of radical Islam. The Egyptian army reportedly has attacked the country's Coptic Christians twice since the revolution began last month. In many Muslim-majority countries, significant majorities support the death penalty not only for those who convert from Islam but also for those who merely speak out against Islam or against blasphemy laws, which make anti-Muslim speech illegal and punishable by death. In Pakistan recently, a regional governor was assassinated for speaking out against a blasphemy law.

Yesterday in Islamabad, Pakistan's capital, a group of al-Qaida and Taliban terrorists gunned down the sole Christian member of Pakistan's federal cabinet for opposing a blasphemy law. Shahbaz Bhatti, a Catholic, was aware of the danger of opposing such laws and for standing up for Christians in Pakistan. He once said, "I will die to defend their rights." A note left at the crime scene by the jihadists said, "With the blessing of Allah, the Mujahedeen will send each of you to hell."

Similar scenes have played out across the Middle East and Asia. Even in "liberated" Iraq, Christians are profoundly worse off now than they were under the repugnant Hussein regime. Amidst this religious cleansing in the place of Christianity's birth, our president says little. The United Nations, ever-ready to condemn Israel for its every move, doesn't do a thing. Neither does most of post-Christian Europe. Interestingly, the only country in the Middle East where the Christian population is growing is Israel.

                             REMEMBER THEM  IN NOVEMBER 2012

The Foundation

"If the federal government should overpass the just bounds of its authority and make a tyrannical use of its powers, the people, whose creature it is, must appeal to the standard they have formed, and take such measures to redress the injury done to the Constitution as the exigency may suggest and prudence justify." --Alexander Hamilton, Federalist No. 33

Editorial Exegesis

"The turmoil in the Middle East has pushed oil above $100 per barrel again, and gasoline prices are following suit. ... Unfortunately, at the same time foreign supplies are falling, domestic production is being curtailed by policies of President Barack Obama's administration. The Interior Department continues to defy a federal court order that lifted a ban on deepwater drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, put in place during last spring's oil spill. Rather than complying with the judge's order, federal regulators have stalled the issuing of permits so that almost no new drilling has occurred in the Gulf in more than six months. In addition, the administration is standing firm on a seven-year ban on new drilling in the eastern Gulf and off the East Coast, and has expanded by 100 miles the no-drill zone off the coast of Florida. Vast areas in the nation's interior have been placed off-limits to drilling, as has the oil-rich Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska. Additional impact on consumers will come if Obama succeeds in his bid to raise taxes on oil companies. ... Democrats in Congress are urging the president to ease prices with releases from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. But that oil serves the purpose of protecting the country against a more serious contraction of imported oil. A better strategy would be to resume deepwater drilling in the Gulf, and consider exploring other domestic reserves. ... The only sure way to offset the decrease in foreign production is to increase domestic production, which has fallen to 5 million barrels a day from a high of 10 million. ... The risk that higher oil prices will send the economy back into recession is too great to ignore. Easing restrictions on domestic production is a necessary safeguard." --The Detroit News

Upright

"It appears that the Obama administration is more interested in kowtowing to environmental donors in advance of the 2012 election than it is in controlling energy prices. Even with a federal court order to decide on new drilling in the Gulf by March 20, the Obama administration remains obdurate. By refusing to grant a single deep-water permit in the Gulf, Obama has shut down access to one third of America's oil supply. With Libyan oil fields now closed indefinitely and with uncertainty about future production elsewhere in the Middle East, it is a dreadful time to be shutting down America's oil fields as well. Turmoil in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Kuwait, or Iraq would drive the price of oil up above $150 a barrel, at the very least. A prudent policy would be to increase domestic production in light of uncertainty abroad." --columnist Jeffrey Folks

"Obama has long been ambivalent about American leadership in the world -- a doubt reflected during the Arab upheavals by his repeated references to universal human rights, rather than American values of freedom. Yet when we have the power to protect our citizens, we cannot be ambivalent about using it. That is why we have a military in the first place: so that the tyrants of Tripoli will fear us, not the other way around." --columnist Joel Pollak

"There's good reason to believe that Obama has always been lying -- yes, lying -- about opposing gay marriage. For example, in 1996, he told The Windy City Times, 'I favor legalizing same-sex marriages, and would fight efforts to prohibit such marriages.' But by 2004, Obama very much wanted to be president, and he understood that supporting gay marriage would be a political liability. So he opted for something other than honesty. And in a 2004 interview with a gay publication, Obama strongly hinted his opposition was strategic, not philosophical. ... President Obama says DOMA is unconstitutional, and yet the 'law professor' says he will continue to enforce it. In a properly ordered constitutional republic, this would be a scandal. But in America today, it's cause for eye-rolling, shrugs and platitudes about the demands of politics." --columnist Jonah Goldberg

"Americans will learn two very important things about their government this week: 1) are Democrats, including the President, willing to make real cuts; and, 2) will Republicans stand their ground on the first round of cuts. I fear for America's future if the answer to either question is 'no.'" --columnist Mike Needham

Insight

"Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women; when it dies there, no constitution, no law, no court can save it; no constitution, no law, no court can even do much to help it." --Judge Learned Hand (1872-1961)

"If a thousand [citizens] were not to pay their tax-bills this year, that would not be a violent and bloody measure, as it would be to pay them, and enable the State to commit violence and shed innocent blood. This is, in fact, the definition of a peaceable revolution, if any such is possible." --American author Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862)

The Demo-gogues

Fighting for the little guy? "I recently froze the salaries of federal employees for two years. ... [I] believe that everybody should be prepared to give up something in order to solve our budget challenges, and I think most public servants agree with that. Democrats and Republicans agree with that. In fact, many public employees in your respective states have already agreed to cuts. ... [But] I don't think it does anybody any good when public employees are denigrated or vilified, or their rights are infringed upon." --Barack Obama

Invalid comparison: "Collective bargaining is something that is so close to slavery in terms of abolishing it, that it is not an American concept to tell people that they cannot discuss their economic position." --Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY)

Race bait: "It's really especially poignant that this year during Black History Month, the Republican leadership has proposed a budget for fiscal year 2011 that will fall most heavily, mind you, on the backs of the most vulnerable in our society: African-Americans, Latinos and poor -- those who have been shut of the American dream. At a time when we should be remembering and uplifting the accomplishments and contributions of African-Americans, to the history, culture, civil rights and economy of America, we are literally during this month debating steps that will severely undercut and undermine that legacy." --Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA)

The BIG Lie: "It is undeniable that the Recovery Act helped every single state represented in this room manage your budgets, whether you admit it or not." --Barack Obama

"The Obama administration's decision [not to defend DOMA] is a victory for civil rights, fairness and equality for the LGBT community and all Americans. Since its inception, the discriminatory Defense of Marriage Act [DOMA] has long been viewed as a violation of the equal protection clause of the Constitution. Today, the president made clear that he agrees -- and I commend him for taking this bold step forward to ensure the federal government is no longer in the business of defending an indefensible statute. The fight for marriage equality is far from over, and we will continue to work towards the day when all American families are treated with respect and viewed equally in the eyes of the law." --House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA)

Frustrated American Patriot:

Within 90 days, all 50 States will be required to provide uniform, biometric, federalized, drivers' licenses, containing personalized GPS tracking chips. This directive from the Obama Administration's Department of Homeland Security, will be implemented through the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration [NHTSA]. Your new drivers' license, when you receive it, will be a defacto National ID Card.

Do you remember those old black-and-white war-era and post-war era spy films, where German or Soviet police would ask the people: "Where are your papers?" THIS IS NO DIFFERENT. Welcome. You have arrived in 1984. Not the year. The book. Or, the movie. George Orwell's 1984. The biometric age of Big Brother.

The National Driver's License, which will be biometric, stems from The REAL I.D. Act of May 11, 2005. To listen to the post-2001 politicians (who will never let a "good crisis go to waste," REAL ID was implemented to make it harder for people who are not citizens to secure state-issued driver's licenses. The new law, which has been postponed three times because no lawmaker wants it to take effect during "their watch," takes effect on May 11, 2011. On that date, any state which has not yet complied will be required to produce a drivers' license that conforms to the new federal "standards." Those "standards" will convert your state-issued drivers' license into a real Nazi-style national identification card---with all the attributes of a World War II-era Internal Passport.

Please CLICK HERE to FAX every Member of Congress to tell them to REPEAL, RESCIND, or BLOCK THE FUNDING to implement the National Drivers' License. This is so important that, if we lose this one, personal liberty in the United States will have been lost, perhaps permanently! And, please, give the best DONATION that you can to the United States Justice Foundation (USJF) as we fight against this government intrusion into every aspect of our daily lives. It will be an expensive fight. But what is at stake is our individual LIBERTY.

Each card will contain a GPS tracking chip. In case someone steals your card, "Big Brother Obama" will know, within 3 feet, where that card is at any moment. Not only does the government have 18 private pieces of information on you---they can literally TRACK YOU WHEREVER YOU ARE! George Orwell's book, 1984, is coming to life right before our very eyes!

If we don't do something RIGHT NOW, May 11, 2011, will be here before we even know it. Somehow, Congress is being quiet about all of this. Why? I know that Mr. Obama does not want you to know about your Identity Theft. But it is already happening!

Why is this National Drivers' License so important? Because you will need it to:

  • Enter a federal building
  • Buy an airplane ticket
  • Pass through security at airports
  • And, of course, you will need it to drive your car.
  • In addition, you will need it to give to any police officer who asks for it for any reason---even if you are sitting on your front porch, enjoying the night air.

The controversial 2005 bill was designed to create national standards for driver's licenses, but it is doing far more than that. Janice Kephart, Director of National Security Policy at the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), reports: "Real ID is alive and well and it is being implemented," Some states have already complied well before the deadline. Personal data about you has already been taken and it has been stored in a government dossier about you.

THE CLOCK IS TICKING! May 11 is just around the corner. Will you help the United States Justice Foundation (USJF) take a stand---right now?

Please CLICK HERE to FAX every Member of Congress to tell them to REPEAL, RESCIND, or BLOCK THE FUNDING to implement the National Drivers' License. This is so important that, if we lose this one, personal liberty in the United States will have been lost, perhaps permanently! And, please, give the best DONATION that you can to the United States Justice Foundation (USJF) as we fight against this government intrusion into every aspect of our daily lives. It will be an expensive fight. But what is at stake is our individual LIBERTY.

This National ID Card, or federalized driver's license, is an outright intrusion into our privacy rights. When a government has the ability to surreptitiously track us by GPS, then that government has too much power. But, even more, the creation of a biometric identity card is about CONTROL---Big Brother Obama's claimed "right" to control the human chattel of the world.

What privacy rights will be next to go? Maybe this new, universal, database will track your credit card purchases. Would you trust that personal information to Mr. Obama? CERTAINLY NOT! But that idea is not too far-fetched, considering all of the rights that he has tried to capture from you in the last over two years.

May 11, 2011 is the day when you can kiss your privacy "Good-bye." That's why you must act quickly to make sure that every Member of Congress TAKES QUICK AND SPECIFIC ACTION to stop this National I.D. Card.

Please DEMAND that every Member of Congress take action to insure that the federal government CEASE AND DESIST from this invasion of your privacy.

There are First Amendment rights that have already been violated by this federal law. And, there are Tenth Amendment rights that have been violated---driver's licenses come under STATE Law, NOT federal law!

In addition, REAL ID exceeds the limits established under the Unfunded Mandates Reform Act of 1995 (Public Law 104-4). This law cannot be legally implemented because the cost exceeds the limits that the federal government can impose on States. STOP THIS INTRUSION RIGHT NOW!

The National Drivers' License implementation will make it much easier for the federal government to track every American. This is an outright invasion of your privacy. You must tell this to every Member of Congress. We need to make sure that those in Congress understand that you object to government having more information than they absolutely need to know to tax you, or to send you a check. Anything else is not their business. We must do everything that we can to invalidate the May 11, 2011 deadline, when the Department of Homeland Security and the Commerce Department will begin to amass a database on every American, something that they were previously forbidden from legally doing.

REPEAL THE NATIONAL DRIVER'S LICENSE NOW!

Please CLICK HERE to FAX every Member of Congress to tell them to REPEAL, RESCIND, or BLOCK THE FUNDING to implement the National Drivers' License. This is so important that, if we lose this one, personal liberty in the United States will have been lost, perhaps permanently! And, please, give the best DONATION that you can to the United States Justice Foundation (USJF), as we fight against this government intrusion into every aspect of our daily lives. It will be an expensive fight. But what is at stake is our individual LIBERTY.

The "machine-readable technology," as required by REAL ID, would convert state-issued driver licenses and identification cards into TRACKING DEVICES, allowing government computers to pinpoint and record people's whereabouts anytime day or night. Under this law, all state drivers' license databases will be linked. The biometric chip in the National Drivers' License will allow any information stored in the cardholder's driver's license to be accessed by any government official in any State who swipes your driver's license in their card scanner.

Digital images of each identity document will be stored in each State Department of Motor Vehicles database. And, according to some opponents of REAL ID, this is only the beginning of the information and documentation that the state governments will be required to obtain and to put on the card! Real ID drivers' license will, very quickly, become de facto national ID cards, which is why people who don't drive will still need to carry one.

The United States Justice Foundation (USJF) will do everything within its power to STOP the full implementation of the National ID card, including filing litigation if necessary. That's why we need your financial support. As you know, USJF has been a defender of Constitutional rights since its founding in 1979. Every fiber of my being screams, "NO!" to REAL ID. You and I have certain freedoms guaranteed by the United States Constitution. The federal government's attempt to control your movements is not their inalienable right!

This National Driver's License/National ID Card is diametrically opposed to the Jeffersonian principles of individual liberty, free markets, and limited government.

May 11th is a heartbeat away. You need to respond today to every Member of Congress. Thank you, in advance, for helping to STOP THIS NATIONAL ID CARD!

Sincerely,

Gary G. Kreep, Esq.
Executive Director
United States Justice Foundation

Congressional bosses from Hell: Sheila Jackson Lee

A lot of politicians give nicknames to their aides. George W. Bush famously referred to his attorney general, Alberto Gonzalez, as "Fredo." Mitch Daniels, then head of the Office of Management and Budget, was known as "The Blade." Barack Obama reportedly called Larry Summers, his chief economic advisor, "Dr. Kevorkian."

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas also hands out nicknames to the people who work for her. The Houston Democrat addressed one of her employees as "you stupid motherfucker." And not just once, but "constantly," recalls the staffer, "like, all the time."

Another Jackson Lee aide recounts the time her parents came to Washington to visit:

Cash Drains From Treasury as Republicans and Democrats Dither

By Terence P. Jeffrey
To prevent the national debt from growing by more than $63.7 billion in February, the Obama administration drew down the Treasury's cash reserves to cover the February deficit of $158.5 billion. It is clear that from January to February the government significantly altered the way it handled its money. In January, the government added $105.8 billion in net debt, but it did not drain its cash account at all. Heading into February, the Treasury put the brakes on borrowing draining its cash reserves instead.

Either way, in a matter of weeks, the federal government's broke.

Teachers Unions 101: A Is for Agitation

If public school teachers spent more time teaching in classrooms and less time community-organizing in political war rooms, maybe taxpayers wouldn't feel as ripped off as they do. Wisconsin

By Rich Galen

The standoff between Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and the Democrats in the State Senate has been going on for two weeks and may last for weeks or even months longer. The issue at hand is a bill -- which has already passed the Wisconsin House of Representatives -- that will seriously restrict the ability of state employees to collectively bargain. Union leaders will pull out every trick to try to stop Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker from winning this fight, but in the end I think he will prevail -- and Wisconsin's public unions will lose their free pass to taxpayers' bank accounts.

Socialists re-write Preamble to the Constitution

Ah, public schools - now many of them across the country are teaching our children that the Preamble to the Constitution mandates "The People's basic needs must be met in a country. Needs for housing, education, transportation, and health care overseen by our government system." This comes from an 'educational' program called Building Fluency Through Practice and Performance. As an added bonus, they are chanting these words...get the details at The Blaze

F.B.I. raids U.S. socialists & union activists for providing 'support' to terrorist groups

Left wing group Democracy Now complained of raids conducted by the F.B.I. that is yet more proof that Glenn's wild and wacky 'conspiracy theory' on Egypt is actually true. Glenn tries to justify his bizarre diet

Glenn, clearly bitter because he's been reduced to eating sticks and drinking wheat, tried to justify why eating sticks is not only better for you than eating regular food, but better than the so called healthy food sold at regular grocery stores. Stu attempts to argue in favor of pro-regular food people - how does that go over? Check out the confrontation from radio today.

Apparently Holder only considers some Americans, not all, as his people. In a recent press conference Holder defended his decision to drop the slam dunk case against the Black Panthers who were clearly caught intimidating at a Philadelphia polling location. Is Holder choosing race over law? Get the full story from The Blaze - and check out Glenn's reaction from radio today.
