Our Story
Have you seen 700 Club? If so, you may recognize Laura-Lynn Tyler Thompson. As a co-host of the CBA television program, 700 Club, Laura-Lynn has the opportunity to reach audiences on a national level. Need to Know the Facts?
The CIHI recently released their 2009 report for the number of induced abortions performed in Canada. Unfortunately, much of the data is incomplete. The issue with official reporting of abortion statistics in Canada is that there is no legal requirement for clinics to report their activity. So the only accurate numbers we have access to are those that have been performed in a hospital (and even some hospital records are incomplete). But with the knowledge that much of the information is missing, we can see that the CIHI has reported a total of 93,755 abortions in Canada in 2009.
