Slip-Sliding Away
Have you ever wondered how someone can possibly take a piece of metal, glass, or brass, place it on their finger and still play guitar? You aren't the only one! Put your fears aside! Resident employee, and guitar slide expert, Shane Bales, will teach you the basics of playing slide guitar. Shane has been playing guitar since he was a very young lad and LOVES music, to say the least. He'll use his expertise in our Effingham location on February 5th to conduct a guitar slide clinic! Save the date before it slides away!

Choral Reading Session
At Samuel Music, we work to serve all of your music needs. From pianos and organs to guitars and band instruments, we do a bit of everything! So, it's only fitting that we host a clinic for our area choral directors. On Saturday, February 5th, join several other area choral directors for the opportunity to read through multiple pieces of choral music. Hosted by the local chapter of the American Guild of Organists, this clinic is filling up fast! It's sure to be a day filled with music, smiling faces, and even nice harmony!

So, in case you're at home and can't quite figure out the chords or notes to a song (and one of our locations is closed), just hop on our website and print out what you're looking for! Since you'll be printing from home, there aren't even any shipping charges. Better yet, you won't even need to download or buy any software to make it work. We like it...actually, we LOVE it!

 Lovin' the NEW Products! From January 13th-15th, seven Samuel Music employees flew out to Anaheim, California, to attend the annual NAMM show. NAMM is the "National Association of Music Merchants." The show allows vendors, of all sizes, to present their products to national retailers. So, we strapped on our walking shoes and began our search for the best new products on the market! All of these products will soon be coming to your local Samuel Music. Here's what we found: Yamaha 'A' Series Acoustic-Electric Guitars: These new acoustic-electric guitars are the first change to Yamaha's line-up in several years. To say they sounded unbelievable is an understatement!

Want a teacher with experience? We have the fit for you! Three local natives to the musician scene have joined our Effingham teaching staff. We couldn't be happier to have them with us! Marty Williamson is currently teaching group guitar classes, while Larry Passalacqua and Steve Jones teach individual guitar lessons. All of these men bring a wide-array of experience with them. Why do we love music so much? Well, there's something special about providing someone with an instrument. It provides an experience that has the opportunity to change a person's life.
