And very hip!  The Samuel Music website has been completely redesigned, and we love it!    There's a lot to see and do on it.  You can read the latest news, see new products, and learn about our rental program.  You can find information on instrument care and preventative maintenance, read about repair and our service techs, or schedule a lesson.  You can view demos of piano, guitar, drums and sound.  Or you can just follow links to see what's happening in the world of music.

Even though we've launched we still have work to do.  On-line shopping is coming and we're building a used gear section as well.  It's all designed to bring our store into your home so you can find information when you need it.  Of course, it's not replacing our stores, just adding to the services we offer.  Check it out!  www.samuelmusic.com.

We'll be covering numerous sound topics and give you insight into the world of mixing in a live audio environment.  We'll share news, new techniques, integration and maybe just help you find better ways to do things. On October 7 it's going to get a little loud in  central Illinois as we welcome Yamaha's Zak Bond  to our Springfield store!  Twice honored as Percussionist of the Year, with four High Percussion titles and with two Class DCA World Championship titles, Zak is a talent you don't want to miss. 

An expert in the use of snare and electronic drums, Zak has traveled the world performing, including South America and Japan, and most recently appearing in India. 

Known for his acrobatics in juggling with the battery, the sticks and the cymbals, Zak is an entertainer as well as a renowned performer (check it out on YouTube). 

Zak will be performing on Thursday October 7th at 6 p.m. at our Springfield location, 3730 Wabash Avenue.  Reservations are necessary, please email or call Eric Dennis at 217-787-7788.

 

Get ready Effingham!  Saturday, October 9, from 2 - 7 p.m. we'll rock Evergreen Hollow Park with sound!  It's the return of the Samuel Music Fall Festival!  What started many years ago as a company celebration has evolved into a community music celebration, and we're proud to bring you an afternoon of great sounds and fun. This year we're supporting our National Guard, and It all starts at 2 p.m.  Kids can take their turn at the  National Guard Obstacle course and view some of the National Guard vehicles that will be on display.  Music starts at 2:30 with Block Party, followed by Get Shorty at 4 p.m. and the National Guard Big Band at 5:30.  There will be free pizza and drinks courtesy of Domino's and Pepsi.  It's all brought to you by Samuel Music, the National Guard, WXEF, Midwest Mobile Stages, FTS Sound, Audio-Tehnica, Domino's and Pepsi.  Bring a lawn chair and enjoy!
