Samuel Music is proud to be a supporter of the SOHO Music Festival.  Now in its 6th year, the festival showcases local music and the wealth of talent around us while providing some much-needed financial support for local charities.  With over 25 bands from Springfield and the surrounding area, there's something for everyone no matter what type of music lover you are!  Proceeds will support a Relay for Life team for cancer research, and the Mini O'Bierne Crisis Nursery which provides temporary care for children whose families are in crisis.

May 7 we rocked Effingham with the sounds of local favorite Maylae.  The group performed for over two hours, entertaining about 70 music enthusiasts  with some popular favorites.  Samuel donated hamburgers and hot dogs, Pepsi provided chips and water, and all proceeds raised from the sale of food was donated to the band boosters.








Pictured are three EHS band members -  Eric Larimore, Jenna Wright and Shanna McIntyre - who were part of hard-working crew raising money for the EHS band.

 

As our Band Representative, Craig Towsley spends most of his time visiting schools.  And this time of year he is lucky enough to see the students in action at many of his stops as they prepare for their end-of-the-year concerts. 





Pictured are fifth-grade band members of the Shelbyville Moulton Middle School .  Craig enjoyed listening to them as they performed for their fourth-grade classmates under the guidance of Band director AJ Gatewood.








Another recent stop was  Robinson Lincoln Elementary School, where Craig caught  band members preparing for a percussion performance with band director Joe Smith.
