         Leader of the Month: Jeffery Hazelrigs 

 

Jeff Hazelrigs is a Junior Marketing major at UTA. Jeff has been involved in the Division of Student Affairs since his freshmen year. He has served as the president of FLOC(Freshmen Leaders on Campus), a New Maverick Orientation Leader, a Liberal Arts Senator and Program Director for Student Congress. Presently, he is serving as the Vice-President of Student Congress and is the President of his fraternity Alpha Tau Omega. According to Jeff, his inspiration has always been his peers and he has always been inspired by the hardworking people around him. His suggestion for emerging leaders is "team work makes dream work!" Jeff was nominated to be the leader of the month by Leadership Academy Member Gaurang Gupte.

Leadership RetreatThe 31 year old tradition of the Leadership Center, the Fall Leadership Retreat will be held September 14-16th 2012 at Lake View Conference Center in Waxahachie, Tx.            Minor in Leadership Studies

 

Looking for a minor? How does a minor in Leadership sound? The Leadership Center offers a minor in Leadership Studies which prepares students to be relational, ethical, and global leaders. Check with your advisor to see if a minor in leadership with the Leadership Center will fit in your degree plan.

       Dog Day at UTA: May 4th 2012 

Come, hangout at Dog Day at UTA before finals! Dog Day at UTA will be held at the Library Mall on May 4 from 10AM-12PM. There will be refreshments available for sale, including lemonade and snacks. All the proceeds will go to the Arlington Animal Shelter. UTA Volunteers will also have therapy dogs available for playing and petting to help relieve your end of semester stress.
