Film Screening: Culture of Silence: Stalking Awareness
The Relationship Violence and Sexual Assault Prevention (RVSP) program in partnership with the Professional Development Committee, within The Division of Student Affairs invites faculty and staff to a screening of the film, Culture of Silence: Stalking Awareness.
This film offers a realistic exploration of the issue, uncovers the common misconceptions about stalking, and offers ways to respond to the crime. After, Counseling Services, UTAPD and the RVSP Campus Advocate will host a panel discussion on how to respond and the best types of support for students who report being victims of stalking. James Olson, professor of courses on intelligence and national security at the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University will discuss the controversial practices of assassination, torture, and rendition.
