COMING SOON: Spring Re-registration
[MANDATORY FOR ALL GROUPS]
Opens on: December 21
Deadline: February 1
Get ready for Spring 2012 re-registration! Beginning December 21, all groups will need to log in to MavOrgs and click the 'Register this Organization' button under your listing in the Organizations Directory. The registration process will ask you for directory information (e-mail, websites, social media, phone, fax, etc) a profile photo, and organization interests that describe your organization. Please have on-hand at the time of registration officer information (name, email, MavID #) for at least 3 officers and Advisor information (name, email, campus box number, department) as that information will be requested. Keep in mind the person who completes this will be listed as the Primary Contact within the system. When you complete re-registration, please encourage your officers and members to log in to MavOrgs and join your organization to communicate with you, each other, and our office, and to stay up to speed on events on campus.
If you fail to re-register your organization by February 1, 2012, your organization will be placed on temporary inactive status. |

Complete this quick end-of-the-year survey about your experience and communication with Student Governance & Organizations. Your feedback is important to us as our staff strives to improve your student organization and your campus involvement experience. This survey should only take about 5 minutes of your time and your answers will be completely anonymous. Also, by filling out the survey, you will be entered into a drawing for up to $100 of free pizza for your organization's next meeting or event. Please complete no later than Wednesday, January 25. Show Your Pride in the 2012 Homecoming Parade!
Deadline: February 1
Sign ups are now open for organizations to participate in the Homecoming Parade on Saturday, February 11 at 5:20 p.m. This year's Homecoming parade will be bigger and better than ever and we want your group or organization to be a part of it! The Homecoming committee will have a variety of golf carts for you to decorate and use and also signage for you to decorate if your group would like to walk in the parade. All student, faculty and staff groups are welcome.

Is your student organization looking for money? Program Assistance Funds are University-granted monies supplied every year to provide campus organizations supplemental funding for their events and attendance to conferences. Student Congress oversees the distribution of these monies, and applications are available in the Student Congress office in the lower level UC, B150, or online at www.uta.edu/sc. |

Scholarship Opportunities Available

The UT Arlington Alumni Association invites all current UT Arlington students to apply for its 2012-2013 scholarships. Scholarships are generously donated by alumni, family and friends of the University, and are awarded to students from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds.

Breakthrough: Paid Summer Internships
Deadline: February 27
Breakthrough Collaborative is looking for a diverse group of talented undergraduates to teach and lead at an innovative academic summer program for highly motivated, under-resourced middle school students in Fort Worth, TX, and other cities across the country. Breakthrough provides paid summer teaching internships, complete with training and classroom teaching experience. Open to all majors! Free housing provided to out-of-town interns.

Do you enjoy helping others? Love to share your Maverick spirit? Want to improve your leadership skills? Apply to be a 2012 Maverick Orientation Leader! Maverick Orientation Leaders are the first to welcome new students and parents during the summer orientation program in June, July and August. Mav OLs develop valuable leadership skills including public speaking, conflict management, teamwork, and problem solving. For more information and to speak with former Mav OLs please stop by one of our Maverick Orientation Leader interest sessions.
