Cool MavOrgs Updates
Greetings, leaders! Several new features for MavOrgs were released on Tuesday that you might find useful...
1. Make MavOrgs the central hub for your organization's online presence. Use the "Share This" clickable counters located on your group's homepage, photo gallery, news article, and events to export content from CollegiateLink to your favorite site.
2. Also, add your organization's social network links and content to CollegiateLink by providing URLs to your social network profile pages. Go to "About" on your homepage, then click "Edit" at the top to update your external website information.
3. Bulk caption and upload multiple photos in your photo galleries.
4. Bulk delete your messages and empty your entire inbox.
5. Embed QR Codes, Google Maps, and weather information on public events.

Program Assistance Funds are University-granted monies supplied every year to provide campus organizations supplemental funding for their events and attendance to conferences. Student Congress oversees the distribution of these monies, and applications are available in our offices in the lower level UC, B150, or online at www.uta.edu/sc. |

Spring 2012 reservations opened to student organizations on Monday, October 24. All space reservations are on first come, first served basis. Like always, your Campus Events Planning Sheet will need to be stamped and approved by SGO prior to reserving a room or outdoor space.

Diversity Lecture Series

Mauricio Claver-Carone will present his lecture entitled "U.S.-Cuba Policy: From the Streets of Havana to the Halls of Capitol Hill." Claver-Carone is the executive director of Cuba Democracy Advocates in Washington, D.C., a non-partisan organization dedicated to the promotion of human rights, democracy and the rule of law in Cuba. He also served as an attorney-advisor for the U.S. Department of the Treasury. This event is free and open to the public - no tickets are required. Boot Camp

$30 for students/faculty/staff, $40 for others
Get ready to work with this indoor/outdoor class that will incorporate cardiovascular and strength training to challenge your body and help you reach your goals. Fitness assessments are performed at the beginning and end of the six-week program to gauge each person's strength and speed improvement.

Student Veterans' Workshop Series
University College is proud to offer the Student Veterans' Workshop Series, a new program specially designed to meet the unique needs of student veterans at UT Arlington. This series of workshops centered around building academic success and confronting transitional challenges is presented by a fellow student veteran along with assistance from some of UT Arlington's faculty and staff.  Join the Pink Ribbon Run and Help Breast Cancer Research
Throughout October
For every mile logged on the pink Cybex treadmills in the MAC during the month of October, 10 cents will be donated by Cybex to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The pink treadmills can be found on the second floor of the Maverick Activities Center. Campus Recreation will display the mileage by each participant and will promote this event through out the month with giveaways! For more information visit www.uta.edu/campusrec |
