Leader of the month: IFY OKONKWO
Ify Okonkwo is a junior Nursing student and is the Student Director of the UT Arlington Leadership Academy. She is a very involved maverick. Currently, Ify is a Science and Education Ambassador, UTA Ambassador, and is one of the finalists for the 2012 Homecoming Court. Ify says she got involved on campus because she wanted to help people come out of their shell, like she did. Her first experience as an executive board member was troublesome and challenging so she began to actively improve her leadership skills which lead to her involvement in a prominent leadership role on campus. Ify's favorite leadership quote is "An army of sheep led by a lion can defeat an army of lions led by a sheep!" |
