Holiday packing
I know I've covered the capsule wardrobe system in the past, but this seems the perfect time of year to give you a reminder. No kitchen sink required here!
The capsule wardrobe is all about clever colour choices.
Choose 3 colours from your palette that all work well together, plus a couple of neutrals. Now choose 12 items of clothing based on those colour choices - 8 tops and 4 bottoms (remember to make sure any patterned garments work with your colour choices). With just these 12 items you can put together 60 (yes, 60) outfits.
Don't forget to add in lots of accessories - they really help to change the look of an outfit.
Obviously, you need to bare in mind the location and type of holiday you are packing for, to ensure the clothes you choose are appropriate, but it really is that simple.

Welcome to my summer newsletter - yes, I know it doesn't feel like it, but it is summer!
At this time of year many of you will be setting off on your holidays, hopefully to somewhere sunny, so you might appreciate a bit of advice on packing a capsule wardrobe. If so, take a look at my feature article in the left hand column.

First Impressions have just launched their new look Cosmetics Direct foundation. It's the same great formula but the packaging is much more user friendly, being in the form of a tube, rather than a glass bottle. Last summer I ran a couple of make-up lessons at home for small groups of ladies (up to 6), which was very well received, so I have decided to repeat it this summer.
At present I have only planned one date, but I will probably be adding more, depending on the amount of interest.
During the session I will take you through the tips and techniques of applying each product, step by step. Everyone will be applying the cosmetics on themselves - with guidance and practical help from me where required, so you should have a good idea of what you are doing when you get back home and try it out on your own. The whole range of cosmetics will be available for you to order and you'll go away with lots of helpful tips to refer to.
