Finding your perfect outfit
Most of us at sometime have experienced that feeling of unease when you need to find an outfit for an event that takes you some way out of your comfort zone.
It could be a family wedding, a day at the races, a charity ball or even your first job interview for 20 years. You may not be the centre of attention at your particular event, but that doesn't mean you feel any less pressure to make the right impression.
 So what do you do?First of all I would suggest you take a look at what's in your wardrobe. What's in there that always makes you feel good? It might not be appropriate of your special event, but it could hold the key to your dilemma. If you can work out what it is that makes you feel so good in this outfit, you can start to narrow your search when you hit the high street, by looking for something with the same attributes.
Is it that the style flatters your figure or the colour makes you positively glow? Maybe it's the fabric or the cut of the neckline.
By looking for something with similar attributes you will be well on the way to finding the outfit that will make you look and feel fantastic.

Welcome to my latest newsletter.
Now that we are into Spring it's time to start thinking about clearing out your wardrobe and making room for any new additions you might be considering. With this in mind there is a great opportunity coming up for you to recycle your unloved clothes and accessories and refresh your wardrobe with some new-to-you items. Read on to find out more.
May/June is a busy time for weddings and all kinds of summer events (despite the awful weather we're experiencing). If you have a big event coming up and you're struggling to find something to wear, you might find my feature article of interest - take a look at the left hand panel.

Let's hope the weather picks up so that we can all celebrate the upcoming Diamond Jubilee in the open air and prepare for the final run-up to the London Olympics (no pun intended).

As you may already know, I set up a blog a few months ago where I write about all sorts of topics as well as news of what I've been upto. After having a bit of a break I've recently started to blog again, so do take a look as there is a report on my successful Hobbs evening last month, as well as a photograph of myself along with some fellow image consultants, all dressed in corsets - all very proper I assure you. Swishing Evening
Myself and fellow image consultant Sally Bright are running a Swishing Evening at The Pavilion in Hatherley Lane, Chelteham on Monday 21 May from 7.30 pm.
This is a great opportunity to clear some of the unloved, good quality, clothes out of your wardrobe and pick up some 'new to you' items to rejuvenate your look, as well as helping the environment through recycling. Feeling Fabulous workshop
The Feeling Fabulous workshop run by myself and Sue Thomas on 1 March was such a great success that we are repeating this event on a Saturday afternoon. So, if you were interested in coming along, but couldn't make it on week day, now it's your turn to find out how to look and feel great inside and out on Saturday 14 July 2012 from 2.00 pm.
We have moved to a new location - The Swan at Whittington (just off Junction 7 of the M5), which we are confident will be a great venue. We will be covering all the same issues - healthy eating, simple targeted exercises and advice on dressing to flatter different body shapes. We also hope to have Belinda Bull joining us again - offering her great value fashion jewellery and accessories, as well as the opportunity for a bit of pampering.

Since I set up my business in 2009, as well as helping my clients look and feel their best through consultations, I have also been dealing with all the marketing, website design, admin etc., mainly to keep down the costs, but there comes a time when only a professional approach will do, so I have called upon Jo Menhinick of JMD Limited, the designer behind my logos, business cards and pop-up banner, to put together a new brochure for me.
We had great fun with the photography and after a few discussions about wording, images and the like, the end result is fantastic. So I'd like to say a huge thank you to Jo and her team for putting together such a colourful and professional brochure that I can hand out to prospective clients with complete confidence.

A few weeks ago, quite out of the blue, I received an email from the Constant Contact team informing me that I had been chosen as an All Star Award Winner for 2011. 
These awards recognise the marketing results of the top 10% of Constant Contact's customer base. Basically those who engaged with their customers on a regular basis and continually received positive responses.
I was amazed and delighted to be an award winner, which is largely down to you, my clients, because without your continued loyalty and attention to my marketing, I would not have received this award. So a huge thank you to you all for regularly reading my newsletters and passing them on to your friends and colleagues - I really appreciate it. |
