What, you thought the sun would just come out for good since winter is officially over?
OK, I admit I did perhaps entertain that wishful idea for a brief moment, but as we do around here often, we checked with our weather forecasting service and they suggested otherwise. We shall see if they are as accurate as they were this past winter, calling for a stormy start to April and some moderation when May starts. If they are right, we will be selling a lot of rainwear this month, and fortunately for you, we have plenty. Our selection includes jackets and parkas from The Northface, Columbia, White Sierra, Marmot, Carhartt, and Red Ledge, with styles available for men, women and kids.
We can even sell you some "washes" from Grangers that will add a level of waterproofness to denim, almost all the footwear we carry, and even nylon fabrics on tents and backpacks. The stuff really works, I've used it on my own jeans during the past winter, and considering all the plowing and shoveling we had to do, I'd say it performed admirably under some difficult conditions.
For those so inclined to shop from the comfort of their homes, we have opened the webstore to real live consumers ( the best ones I know!!). Go HERE to check it out, or just follow your nose at www.billsarmynavy.com.
Every item that Carhartt makes for spring 2011 is loaded and ready for review, as well as every style and color combination of Vibram Five Fingers footwear we sell. I have personally not seen such a selection of Vibrams in any store anywhere else, and remain proud we were the first store in New Jersey and the NY metropolitan area to carry them over 3 years ago. If you need a question answered about them, we certainly know what we are talking about. Let us help in any way, happy to do it..
The webstore will be continually refreshed with more merchandise, we have staff working on it everyday. As well we will continue to develop it for ease of use and employ as many features as we can for you. By this fall, we expect to have the best half of our store online. I hope you will benefit from it in the future.
One last note, thank you to our many new friends on FACEBOOK. We have been alerting our customers via FB about weather alerts from our forecasting service, and our "friends" have been finding out a week or 2 earlier than most about upcoming storms. The storms continue, but we seem to have moved into a milder pattern bringing us rain. Next week may even feature 3 solid days of substantial downpours, raising the flood level again, which stinks unless you have a store full of rainwear to sell. Watch the FB page for more details, but don't be surprised if you don't get to put away your winter coat for several more weeks!!! You'll know what's up with that cryptic comment before your friends and family, and as soon as I.
Regards,
