Greetings!         

You use Google to find information.  Why not use Google to have others find your products or services?

  

Google AdWords

 

What can it do for you?

 

When you want to drive visitors to your website, whether to promote your business, capture leads or sell pgoogle searchroduct, a Google AdWords campaign might prove to be the right tool.

 

When an AdWords campaign is created, you bid on key words or phrases that people use to search for information, products or services.  If your bid is among the highest ones, then your ad appears on the Google results page and when a user clicks on the ad, they are brought to your website.

 

Here's an example

 

Say you wanted to increase reservations at your NYC hotel, you would set up an ad such as this one:

 

New York Budget Hotel
Clean and Close to Subway
Students save 20%
www.BigAppleHotel.com

Your list of keywords would be something like this:

 

New York hotels

New York lodging

New York budget travel

budget hotel

cheap hotels

student trips

New York City hostels

"New York on a budget"

 

You would then select when, where and other criteria about how the ad would run and bid an amount for each time someone clicks on your ad.  Yes, this is how Google makes its gazillions!  You can also limit your daily and monthly spend.

 

As time passes, reporting will show you which of your keywords is most effective.  You can test other ads to maximize the effectiveness of the campaign.

 

Caution!

When creating a campaign, all defaults are structured to benefit Google, not you, so it's important that your campaign options are carefully selected.  Also, understanding the intricacies of such campaigns and how to read reports takes time and an experienced eye.

 

 

A well run Google AdWords campaign can be an effective tool to drive prospects and customers to your site.
