Help Shape the Future of Our Watershed
I grew up on the shores of Lake Washington, taking for granted the access I had to clean water for swimming, fishing and drinking. Things were plentiful and I never gave a second thought to how the environment I enjoyed might be at risk. However, as I grew older, I began to realize that I am as responsible as anyone else for the health of the world around me. The Puget Sound region is slated with some of the largest national increases in population over the next several years. At the same time, our state budget is facing a 2 billion dollar shortfall. I understand that I must now do my part.

What attracted me most to working with The Friends is their ability to develop innovative solutions for engaging communities in the conservation of precious resources. This approach is
well-matched to today's economic climate.
Please support our work today.
Highlights of what your donations accomplished in 2011:
- 56 Cedar River Volunteer Habitat Restoration projects completed by more than 2000 volunteers.
- 8,475 community members took part in the Cedar River Salmon Journey, our highest attendance in the 15-year program history.
- The 2010 Watershed Report is now online with stories of community innovation from the 28 cities and 13 school districts in our watershed.
