| Greetings! |
A cool nip is in the air and the leaves are beginning to turn meaning fall is officially here! Where did the summer go? The South Carolina chapter had one of its busiest summers for fundraising and wish granting with countless events, corporate sponsor campaigns and 23 wishes granted. We are moving into our 2012 fiscal year full steam ahead and are looking forward to bringing in record numbers for funds raised and wishes granted. In order to do this, we need the help of our supporters now more than ever. We will continue to keep you updated through our website and social media pages on the latest wishes, events and opportunities to help make more wishes come true, but we'd like to get some feedback from YOU! We want to know the things you love to hear about, whether its wish stories, upcoming events or what others are doing to make a difference. If you would like to give your opinion, please complete this 9-question survey to help us better connect with you. Thank you in advance for your feedback! As always, we sincerely thank each and everyone of you for your support to our mission and the children we serve. Best Wishes, Make-A-Wish Foundation® of South Carolina Staff |

Christmas Light Extravaganza Local Lexington resident Jerry Hite orchestrated a fantastic Christmas light spectacle last year that was inspired by a Christmas light show produced by The Holdman Family in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Computer timing an extravagant display of lights to the Christmas melodies draws a massive crowd to their home each year, and each year the Holdman's collect donations for their local chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Mr. Hite plans to do just this for the second year. With a light count of over 5800 for last year, Mr. Hite is amping up the holiday spirit adding a 19-foot mega tree complete with 9600 lights, nine 4-foot Christmas trees and more bringing this year's light count to over 35,000! Mr. Hite's display to "Sandstorm" won him local Columbia station WIS-TV's Christmas Light Show award. Check out the video below.
