Community Acts for Catholic Charities

May 27, 2011

Greetings!

We are inspired by and grateful to all the local groups and individuals who joined with our work recently - details below. We cannot do "community work" without "community"! Thank you.

SONOMA News

People find ways to give back! A food recipient/volunteer brought pizza for our 12 food distribution volunteers at La Luz...she works as a waitress and wanted to share a generous tip with others.

Human Race participants for Catholic Charities included donors, volunteers, staff and of course, family members. It was our best showing in years, and lots of fun see photos

Local accounting firm Burr Pilger Mayer

shared 16 staff members for their annual volunteer day to help renovate and improve the grounds at the Family SupBPM paintingport Center. All sported "There is more to life than work" tee-shirts. See them painting, building, moving and having fun...see photos

Domestic Violence Training for Indigenous People, with Sunrise Services, the Dept. of Justice, and the Pomo Rancheria; Calpine Corp., Cobb Mtn.
