Navy Group A Step Closer To Creating Museum

Well, hooray for WINSA! At 2:21 pm (we beat our old record by 26 minutes) Saturday July 30, 2011 (we beat our old record by one whole day) we shipped a package weighting 12 # (we beat our old record by over a +2 1/2 pounds) that contained a lot of documents, 2 full binders and 2 cd's and a whole bunch of combined work to NAVSEA for another go at our USS Canon Phase II application.

As always this was a combined effort. When you have a chance please say "Thank You" to Char for all the hours she put into this submission. Without her help this would not have been completed much less on time. Along with that, when you have a chance give Cathy Berger a huge "Thank You" for the time she spent entering and straightening out WINSA's new Strategic Plan. The Strategic Plan replaces WINSA's Business Plan. Also, if you get to see my wife, Paulette, please thank her for putting up with me the last 3 or 4 weeks for being kind of grumpy for lack of sleep.

Shared this with you last issue ---but this is BIG DEAL!

Great music this year at our Land Sea Air Military Ball.  From their web site:  "The Cool of Jazz, the Heat of Rock.' Give a listen right here to their great MUSIC  Two amazing bands in one. You choose the mood...we'll take care of the rest!

"We haven't played in two places at once...yet." -Bill, band member. Uptown/Downtown is a multi-talented group of four musicians who play in two completely different styles (and with different instruments) depending on what the occasion calls for. Our fans aren't surprised to hear Uptown doing smooth jazz at an upscale restaurant one evening, and on the next spy Downtown at a bar playing rock and blues all night.

Your menu choices will be:

  • Spinach and artichoke stuffed chicken breast w/red pepper sauce (not spicy hot)
  • Crab-stuffed baked cod with drawn butter
  • Chef-carved prime rib

 mmmmm....I'm hungry how about you??
