To Our Supporters & Friends,

Great music this year at our Land Sea Air Military Ball.  From their web site:

The Cool of Jazz, the Heat of Rock. Give a listen right here to their great MUSIC

Two amazing bands in one. You choose the mood...we'll take care of the rest!

"We haven't played in two places at once...yet." -Bill, band member. Uptown/Downtown is a multi-talented group of four musicians who play in two completely different styles (and with different instruments) depending on what the occasion calls for. Our fans aren't surprised to hear Uptown doing smooth jazz at an upscale restaurant one evening, and on the next spy Downtown at a bar playing rock and blues all night.

YOU WILL WANT TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE AT THE SECOND ANNUAL MILITARY BALL -- mark your calendars RIGHT NOW, Friday, November 11th....that's right Veteran's Day will be the second annual Land, Sea, Air Military Ball at Amore in Plymouth.  Plan to be there!

Fair winds and following seas and long may your big jib draw!

NSCC VOLLRATH DIVISION

WINSA did a cable TV half hour show earlier this month and Seaman Recruit Nicholas Garofalo led the participants in the pledge and answered questions of what his plans were after granduation.

The NSCC Vollrath Division has an overnight drill this weekend. Then they will be doing a brat fry coming up Memorial Day weekend at Blattner's Piggly Wiggly in Sheboygan Falls.   These funds raised will help with their boot camp expenses.  Make sure to have a brat with them the Saturday  of Memorial Day Weekend.

Don't miss the action as the Vollrath Division competes in the Art Amanda 4th of July weekend in the Sheboygan River.

For more information regarding Vollrath Division contact Admin Officer Laura Garofalo at legarofalo@rocketmail.com

Ship parts

Local published artist Laura Spalinger is putting the finishing touches on a portrait of the USS Canon as the ship served in Vietnam from which we will have limited number of autographed prints that we will be selling.  Laura is a long time member of WINSA, friend of Captain Caswell (recently deceased), in Coast Guard Auxillary, and does maritime paintings that have been in juried art shows at the John Michael Kohler Art Center as well as other galleries.
